On the night Margaret Thatcher is reelected for a third term, Lady Mary Crawley looks back.

Thomas Barrow finally follows Mr. Bates' advice, to try and be a little nicer. Let's see how that turns out for him and the rest of Downton as life goes on after the Christmas Special 2012. Spoilers for what happened there, be warned. This is a Thomas-centric story but no slash, at least I haven't planned it. But maybe something or someone will come along, this is a WIP after all.

London was noisy as usual, dirty as usual, but not nearly as enjoyable as usual.

Just my take on Anna and Mr. Bates' night at the cottage, the day before the cricket match. Season 3.08.

Eighteen months later, he enjoys everything life has to offer to a single millionaire whereas she struggles against financial difficulties and a shaky marriage. AU after 3x08: Thomas tries to continue life at Downton as a better man than he was before. Like, spending more time working than plotting. And starting to respect people. It takes a while, though, until Jimmy is keen to speak with him again, but then they become friends and that's great. At first. Or: How to get out of the friendzone, when you can't read subtext.

William seeks Thomas's help to capture the affection of his sweetheart Daisy. Purely fictional. Pre-WWI.

Robert and Cora put the pieces back together. *Spoiler Alert*

AU. Mary's decision to refuse Sir Richard's proposal leaves her without recourse when Mrs. Bates decides to sell her story to the press. Claiming that her ruin makes her unmarriageable, Mary convinces an injured Matthew to marry her and secure her future.

Mrs. Hughes has a past, about which Mr. Carson never asked.

Mr. Bates gets a visitor one night. Takes place in season 1, 2-parter, smut-ish. Mature content.

After Mary's suggestion in 3x01, she and Matthew call off the wedding and Matthew is leaving Downton. "Deep down, she knows she'll cling to the memory of him until she dies and when they cut open her heart, they'll find a dance, a kiss or two and a solider who fights for himself more than his allies." But an emotional end may soon become a new beginning for the couple, AU for 3x01

It's Edith's turn for marriage, but things turn out a little differently. For anyone that's seen the show, don't expect to have that kind of ending! The family have gathered at Downton Abbey for celebrations of the winter season though it seems this year the festivities might not go off completely without a hitch. Patrick has a secret, Marmaduke and Rosamund flirt, Mary and Freddie fight, Violet disapproves as usual and Robert and Cora with-stand their own troubles.

modern AU. Sybil is a doctor, Tom is a journalist just moving in from Dublin to London. They live in the same building and meet for the first time on Christmas Eve.

Set after the CS, Thomas and Jimmy have agreed to be friends, but can either of them really leave it at that?
