Chapter 6

(Next morning; with Regina and Jessica)

Adam, Maria, Ayla, Alix, and Kathi were sitting with Regina and Jessica talking about everything. "So," said Regina. "How did you girls like your first show?"

"It was amazing!" Said Alix.

"Train cleans up real nice doesn't he?" Said Ayla. Adam was drinking some coffee.

"He does, doesn't he?" Said Regina.

"I'm going to retie your hair today bro." Said Jessica.

"And you look a little scruffy." Said Regina, "you need to get a shave."

"I'll handle that," said Ayla.

"Be careful," said Maria. "This is our loved one."

"Also, I want to meet your families."

"Sure," they said.

So, after breakfast, Adam was in a chair, and Ayla started shaving him. She left his 'handlebar' mustache. "There we are," she said and kissed him on the cheek. "All done, okay Jess, he's all yours." She untied his hair and started to detangle it. She washed it and scrub it.

"I can't see how your hair is longer than mine when it's untied but, I have the longer hair when yours is in the mohawk." She said.

"I can't explain it." He said.

"Hey Train?" Said Maria.

"Sup?" He said as Jessica was drying his hair.

"Could you look at my designs?"

"Just let me sit up so I can see." So Jessica had him sit up and he took her portfolio to look at it. What they saw was amazing.

"Wow, this is great Maria." She said.

"I agree," said Adam. "You show Mom?"

"I don't know if she'd even look at them, let alone like them." Jessica made a joke.

"But 'Slim', what if you win? Wouldn't it be weird?" They laughed. Then she tied his hair into a mohawk, "but honestly. Go show Mom." So Maria went to show Regina.

(With Regina)

"So, this is your portfolio?" She said.

"Yes ma'am." Regina took it and saw everything, 'hmm'ing at every page.

"Love the colors." She muttered, "Adam chose wisely." Then she looked at her and closed the portfolio. "The only question I have is, how would you feel about working with your husband?" Maria's jaw dropped, "yes my dear. Welcome aboard."

"I'm going... To be working…. With Train?"

"Yes," Maria glomped her tightly.

"Thankyou! Thankyou! Thankyou!" She said.

"Oh, you're welcome my dear." She pulled out her checkbook, "How do you spell your full name again?"

(Later, with Adam and the girls)

Adam hugged Maria, "congratulations sweetheart." He said.

"Thank you Adam," she said and kissed him. Jessica was happy for her.

"Let's go celebrate!" She said. So they do, that was when they had run into a young man. He had short blond hair and blue eyes. He was in a T-shirt, slacks, and boots. He was with a cute brunette swordswoman. She was in a school uniform, Maria was in shock.

"Adrien," she said, he saw her and just stared. I mean come on, Maria looked awesome now.

"You want to talk to him?"

"Yeah," Adam nodded and the others left her with them. "Uh, hi."

"Hi, Maria." Said Adrian, "was that…?"

"Uh, yeah."

"How do you know, Adam Williams?"

"He's an old friend." Then he saw the ring on her finger.

"What's that?"

"Oh this, a wedding band."

"You got married?"

"Yes."

"To who?"

"Adam." Their jaws hit the ground.

"And I'm also working with him." So she told them about what had happened to them.

"So, what about us?" He asked.

"You can keep him."

"If you need me let me know. We'll come help you."

"We?"

"Did I forget to mention that Ayla and Alix are my sister wives?" The girl he was with spoke up.

"Because of the Zodiac rings?"

"Yes." Adrian lowered his head, he should have made a move. Maria went over to him and hugged him tightly. Then kissed him on the cheek. "We'll always be friends." He nodded.

(With Adam and the others)

Maria was crying and Adam hugged her as she cried on his shoulder. "That had to been hard." He said, she nodded. "It's okay. We all go through things like this." He comforted her, "kinda feel guilty for breaking you two up." She held him tighter.

"You didn't." She said.

"Hey, if you do want to celebrate. We don't have to." Said Jessica.

"No, it's alright. As long as I got you guys with me. I can face anything." She said and hugged Jessica.

Note: I wanted to close a chapter of Maria's book and deal with Adrian and have her break up with him with no hard feelings.
