Chapter 7

(Next morning)

Adam was relaxing and whipping up some breakfast for everyone. When there was a knock on the door. "I'll get it!" Said Jessica, so she went to the door to answer it. It was Agreste, "what do you want?" He didn't say anything and grabbed her. "ADAM! MOM! HELP!"

They look over, "son of a bitch!" He said and started to chase after them. Regina had come out with the girls.

"What happened?" She said.

"Where's Adam and Jessica?" Said Ayla, just then Maria had got a connection with Adam.

[A-Train, what happened?] She sent.

[Jess, got kidnapped!] He sent.

[By who?]

[Take a guess!] She got mad and quickly headed for the door.

"Maria, what's up?" Said Ayla.

"Jessie's been kidnapped by Hawkmoth!" They looked at her and followed her out. Regina was pissed.

"Bring her back safe, my children." She said softly.

(With Adam and the girls)

"COME BACK HERE!" He yelled, they were running through Paris and Hawkmoth was still running with Jessica.

"Put me down you creep!" She said.

"If I can't have your brother, I'll take…!" He didn't finish when she hit him in the balls forcing him to drop her. Adam saw it and was about to go after her when Ladybug told him that she got her. Adam nodded and flew right at Hawkmoth.

"This Was Your Final Mistake, Moth Boy!" He said and tackled him down off of a roof while beating the hell out of him. "Release the Kwami, Agreste!"

"NEVER!" Then Adam grabbed a flag pole and Agreste by his coat.

"Let Nooroo go or I'll…"

"YOU WOULDN'T!"

"A Life for a Life Agreste!" He said, "I'm willing to sacrifice myself for him! And take you with me!" Just then there was a lavender glow at Agreste's broach and a small creature hopped on Adam's hand, ran up his arm, and landed on his shoulder. "I take it you're Nooroo." He nodded sadly.

"Don't kill him and sacrifice yourself." He said, Adam, sighed and nodded.

"YOU TRAITOR!" Screamed Gabriel, just then Adam let go of the pole and landed on his feet. Right into the arms of the police.

"I'd like to press charges," Adam said. "This man kidnapped my sister!" The police took him in, Jessica ran to him and hugged him. Nooroo transformed into a broach. "Hey Ladybug I think I might have something for you." So with that, they left and headed back home.

(With Regina)

The Williams matriarch grabbed her daughter in a huge hug, then hug her son as well. "Thank you, Adam," she said. Then he handed Maria, Nooroo.

"I'm sorry for putting you through all this." He said.

"It's alright Adam." He said, he went back to the other Kwamis.

(Later, in Adam's room)

Adam was packing up getting ready to go back home. As he was talking to his cousin, "I think you'll like them." He said.

[Them?] She said, [I thought it was one?]

"There are 12 signs of the Zodiac. So there'd be more."

[Does Auntie Gina know?]

"Yes, as does Jessica and they love them."

[I got to meet them now.]

(With Maria)

Maria had told her family about what was going on. They were impressed, "so Mrs. Williams offered you a job with her?" Her mom said.

"Well, with her son. Adam," she said as she brought up her hand and they saw the ring.

"Is that a wedding band?" Asked her father.

"Yeah, It's a long story." So Maria had told them about what had happened and they were shocked.

"Should we get things ready?" Asked her mom.

"We're not really ready to seal the deal but, when we are, I'll call you and let you know about the wedding date." They nodded and Maria hugged them both, "I'll miss you guys."

"We'll miss you too. Maria." So she was packed and headed out to meet up with the others.

(Airport)

Adam, Regina, Jessica, and the others had got on the plane. They headed back home to the States, back to Los Angeles.

(Williams Manor)

Everyone came to the manor grounds and were amazed. "Wow." Said Maria.

"This place is huge." Said Ayla, Adam just shrugged.

"It's home." He said. It was like a Japanese manor house. But, the inside was Americanized. "I'm going to rest up and get ready for the party." They looked at him.

"Party?" Asked Kathi.

"Yeah, we're going to introduce you guys." Said Jessica, Adam went up to his room.

(Adam's Room)

There was a massive king-sized bed in the middle of the room, on the walls were pictures of him with friends. Accommodations from the city for saving people and helping others. He threw off his shoes and put them in his huge walk-in closet, took off his socks and shirt, leaving him in an 'A-shirt' and jeans.

Then he jumped, turned in mid-air, and landed on top of his bed. He was about to fall asleep as his head hit the pillow.

(With Maria and the girls)

They slowly snuck upstairs to his room and saw that their husband was a true hero. They saw him asleep on his bed and Ayla placed his head on her lap. Alix was looking around and saw some of his old boards, "he skates?" She said, Kathi went into his closet and saw some of the most amazing clothes he has.

"Maria, look at this." She said and they did.

"No wonder he's so good." She said. Alix was excited.

"Look, he's got a hero uniform." She said they saw a uniform it was a dark blue sleeveless top, cargo pants, and a black trench coat. "But why didn't he have this?" She felt the top and it was armor, "wow."

"I think he retired." Said Kathi, Ayla had found a book and started to read it.

"Listen to this guys; 'I helped out again. But, I'm never appreciated. Everything I do for this city, this country, is for nothing'." They listened on, "here's another one. 'I was helping out when the storm hit, trying to get people into shelters. The police told me to back off, as usual'." She turned it to a new page and this one had tear streaks on it, "these are some dour thoughts. 'My god, ten people were lost, on a city bus. It exploded, killing almost everyone. I failed, maybe they're right I should quit. Everything, being a hero and life'." The girls were shedding tears about what he's been through.

"Has he told, 'Mom and Jessica'?" Asked Maria.

"I don't think he has," said Ayla.

"Think we should tell her?" Said Alix.

"I'll do it." Sobbed Kathi, "I can't believe he's been hurting this long."

(With Regina)

The girls told her about what they read, and she sighed. "The doctor said, he should talk about it." She said.

"So you know." Said Maria.

"Yes, he told me somethings but not everything."

"What can we do?" Asked Ayla.

"You girls keep doing what you're doing and love him. That's what he needs right now." They nodded.
