I'll try to update soon. I hope you enjoy this chapter. It has a bit more action then previous chapters. I can't wait to see your reaction to this chapter. And thanks to Jazzilynn Hall for correcting my mistakes in this chapter.
I run as fast as I can back to base. I need to warn them. They're going to destroy everything. They're going to do something I'm all too familiar with: Kill. I run and jump over the barrier so I'm in the base's perimeters going the direct way. Hearing a shout behind me but I ignore it as I stop. I scan for someone to tell, someone who will listen. My eyes immediately latch onto Lennox, who is soaking wet from the rain and heading my way.
"Shadow! What was you doing outside the base?! That's too far-" starts Lennox scolding me.
Great.. He must of seen me run in.
"Decepticons are coming… now." I emphasize interrupting him.
Lennox's eyes widen in shock and fear before he shouts, "What?!"
Suddenly the building behind us collapses as something hits it ,causing screaming. The building is falling… towards us.
Well slag…... Me and Lennox immediately start moving. Unlike in the the movies where they run directly forward and away, we move off to the side because we definitely would of been squashed. The collision of the building the ground makes the floor shake, making me and Lennox lose our balance and fall to the floor. A load of dust fills the air making me cough. We can't see a thing through the dust so I rely heavily on my other senses to guide me. I hear lots of shouts and orders around me but then a loud sound above me drowns the other sounds out. I look up to see a jet zoom above us. I growl as the dust sets. I need to get to my motorbike. The jet transforms and hits a transformed Bumblebee in the background, knocking him down.
"We need to call for reinforcements!" calls Lennox as the base turns into a battleground.
We both move behind some cover of the fallen building.
"I have a feeling Bumblebee already has," I reply, peeking over the ruins.
I look up to see Barricade bursting through the fence.
"Great. Barricade's here," I comment sarcastically as he starts shooting at anything in sight along with some other Decepticons I've never seen before.
I duck down as I take cover. I hear Lennox give orders to some nearby soldiers as I examine the situation. The only Autobot on base is Bumblebee so I guess it's up to us. I feel a few bullets whiz above my head before Lennox gets his gun out and starts shooting.
"Lennox, permission to use weapons?" I shout over the noise of the battlefield.
Don't get me wrong. This isn't about respect, I'll still use a weapon even if he says no, it's about not getting into some annoying trouble later.
"Sure. Here, do you want a gun?" asks Lennox ducking back in cover, handing one out to me.
"No need," I say, before getting my daggers out of my belt, the ones made out of special hard metal and elements and I stand up straight facing the danger head on.
I throw a dagger directly into one of the Decepticons cannon making it backfire and explode and I throw another one at a different Decepticon's wires in between the gap in the plating of his leg, distracting him as he holds his leg that is now bleeding out energon. I duck down and examine around me for a better place to move.
"You had weapons on you this whole time?!" shouts Lennox surprised.
"Yes. You need to move to better cover!" I reply.
"What about you?" shouts Lennox over the sound of the battle.
"I need to get to my motorbike. You need to regroup. I'll cover us," I answer getting something out of another compartment of my belt.
"How are you going to do that?" questions Lennox before his eyes widen at what I hold. "What is that?"
"A mini grenade," I smirk, a little excited, before I stand up and throw it at the same Decepticon who I threw the knife at in the leg.
"Move it!" orders Lennox as I throw a couple more at the Decepticons keeping them temporary busy.
We both split as I go towards where I left my motorcycle. I hear a yell of pain behind me letting me know I hit the desired target. I look back to see the enraged Decepticon stamping in the area I was. I look forward and see some soldiers set up a mini missile launcher. A few use their guns but only as distractions. For the most part I ignore them and any pleas for help. I just focus on me and my own survival. There. My motorbike. I hop on and start it up instantly.
I zoom off round the base. I guess the plan is to fight back as best as we can until the Autobots get here. It's either that or hide. And I'm no coward. I see some soldiers struggle with getting their weapons ready in time as a Decepticon stalks towards them. I can see their distraction team, trying to reload quickly but the Decepticon already has its weapons ready to fire. I zoom past the worried team, frantically trying to get everything ready, heading toward the Decepticon. I pull out two long swords that are attached to the sides of my motorbike. I dig my swords into the side of the ankle, swiping it across where the wires are, seeing blue energon spurt out.
I hear the Decepticon shout in pain as I go for it's other leg which is behind the other one. By the time it looks down I'm already gone. I hear a missile launch and the Deception falls down on one knee before falling again, being hit repeatedly. I move on to my next victim doing nothing more than inflicting damage as a distraction. It feels so good to release my stress. I know blades might not seem effective against Cybertronians but these aren't normal blades. None of my weapons are normal. They are specially created. And as long as I get it in the right place, it can do some damage.
It seems though some Decepticons have took note of my antics. Time to change tactics. I flick up the left side of my handle bar and turn it twice before I press the button. The headlights glass covers slide up and instead of light bulbs, there are mini cannon prototypes. They had a few bugs when I first stole the bike but I've sorted them out after trial and error. Let's see if this can do some damage. I start firing at the nearest Decepticon but they do little damage.
Time to up the firepower. I turn the handle again linking the cannon to my special formula. This one has more of a punch. I press the button again and the motorbike shakes a little, making me hold on tighter to the handles. This time when it hits it's mark, it does some serious damage, the armor plating melting. And there we go. I don't stay around to see the Decepticon's reaction.
Instead I find some cover quickly. I slow down my motorcycle and hop off, opening up the secret compartment under my seat to restock a bit and to grab my helmet. I couldn't go as fast as I like without my helmet because otherwise my eyes would be stinging. I put my helmet on and tap the button on the side, scanning for frequencies, until it picks up on one, automatically hacking through it. I hear people giving orders and requesting back up. Not one of them mentions Bumblebee. Does he even have any back up? Probably not. They probably think he can handle himself but I need to go check on him because if we lose the only Cybertronian around whose on our side, then we'll be in big trouble. Well they would be, I'll just leave.
I zoom off as soon as I'm ready. I mostly ignore the voices over the radio until I hear Lennox's voice. He's been through something like this and lived so I double tap the button on the side of my helmet.
"Lennox. Shadow here, what's the plan?" I ask ready to maybe take some orders, depending if I like them or not.
"I'm not even going to ask how you got into our secure frequency. We normally keep to protocol which is back up the Autobots but since we can't, we're distracting them until another team hits them with everything we got. As you know bullets don't do much damage and are quite ineffective so we gotta bring the rain which is due now," comments Lennox.
I suddenly hear a loud sound above me and I don't have to look up to know they're jets above zooming past. I see them fire at the Decepticons. One of the hits managed to get a seeker. He turns around and I recognize him as Starscream. He flies up and begins to tear apart the jets, forcing the humans to eject. The other jets focus on him though now since he's gone for one of their wingman. That's either going to work really well or we'll lose all our air strike in one go. I turn my attention back to Lennox on the radio link.
"If protocol is to back up the Autobots then I assume someone is backing Bumblebee up?" I question.
"….Slag…" curses Lennox confirming what I thought.
I speed up to get to Bumblebee to help cover his back until someone else can get there. Huh… cover someone else's back? That's strange. Normally I'm stabbing them. This goes against everything I was raised by. I was taught to watch my own back. If someone dies because they weren't watching their own back then they're a fool and they deserved to die. But there was another thing I was taught: if someone dares try to kill you, then you better teach them a lesson. And Decepticons are here, not only to threaten everyone else's live, but mine too. And for that, they have to pay. Even if they are giant Cybertronians.
I finally see Bumblebee fighting…... Sideways I think? I didn't pay too much attention to the Decepticon's names in the movies. But I do see Barricade behind Bumblebee charging a cannon up. That's my que. Barricade's mine, I have a bone to pick with him.
I fire shots at Barricade. Ideally I would of liked to aim at his cannon but I can't aim with these things, it only shoots directly straight which is at his ankles. Which works well enough, but he shoots firing upwards by accident as he brings his foot up instinctively giving it a shake. Bumblebee looks behind to see Barricade but he has to face forward again because Sideways tries to attack Bumblebee again. If there was a ramp somewhere I would of definitely boosted up in the air and drive on Barricade stabbing him and ripping the sword through him as I drove, but since I can't do that I stab him with my sword in his good foot, mostly to tee him off.
"That for the trouble you caused me, Decepticon scum!" I snarl as I twist my dagger before pulling it out with a small smirk.
I drive away quickly getting a head start.
"You femme fleshbag!" calls Barricade, transforming and chasing after me.
I effortlessly weave past obstacles where Barricade drives through them if he can. Military people run and dive out of the way because neither of us are willing to move a little just for some idiot in the way. I find a relatively empty space since I don't need anymore idiots to get in my way. I turn around and stop, confusing Barricade. Instead of running me over he transforms stopping a bit away.
"We need to talk," I state, annoyance clear in my voice.
"We're in a battlefield and you want to talk to me, the enemy?" chuckles Barricade, amused.
"Yes," I say very serious, keeping my facial expression neutral.
Barricade ceases his chuckling, a tense silence takes its place. Although I'm a 'fleshbag' I can give off a deadly atmosphere. No matter the species, if something or someone is dangerous, you'll know it, especially if you've fought hundreds of times.
"You set me up," I state, not accusing, because I know it and so does he.
"Negative. I did no-" denies Barricade but I interrupt.
I would of liked to interrupt with a dagger, but words will have to do now since I can't waste my ammo.
"Don't insult my intelligence. I want to know why," I growl out.
"I don't answer to fleshbags. I just destroy them," answers Barricade, firing up his cannon.
My eyes narrow at that. His mistake. He should of answered the question. I move immediately as he fires shots, the first shot narrowly misses. I get closer to him and weave right and left, before using my boost on my motorbike, firing forward. As I get closer to Barricade, I get my swords out and scrape them on the ground creating sparks before I hit Barricade with two hot blades going directly into him. He roars lifting both feet up as I drive off. That sounded painful… good. He turns around and uses his arm to fire. Damn…... I didn't expect him to recover so quickly. I accelerate faster but it's too late. He hit the back of my motorbike. I try to keep in control of my motorcycle but it's no use. It flips and I jump off my bike. I roll a few feet away, the helmet protecting my head, but it's a little cracked. I take it off and I see my world spinning a little. I close my eyes and shake my head before I open my eyes. Immediately I go to my motorbike that's on it's side…. and it looks mashed up.
Oh no… no, no, no, no, no, no, NO!
It's ruined. Like irreparable. I examine my motorcycle with shock and horror. I don't have many possessions, especially ones that I hold onto for years. My shock and horror quickly turn to anger. I glare down as my fists shake. It's hard to make me lose my cool but he's done it. Sure, I get irritated, annoyed, frustrated, but to get me truly angry... well….. that's their biggest mistake, and their last. My hands find their way to my daggers as I steady my harsh breathing while Barricade begins to speak.
"Are you offline, puny fleshling? Did I break you?" asks Barricade mockingly as I use my motorbike as cover.
Believe me….. You're going to wish you did.
I stand up but as I do, I throw daggers at him. The first ones hits the gaps between his shoulder and arm. He growls before he goes down on his hands and knees and charges at me like he did to Sam in the first movie. I throw dagger after dagger after dagger at him relentlessly, all of them different sizes but they bounce off him harmlessly. I aim at different points but they are all blocked until I see an opening. I quickly and effectively throw my dagger, one of my last ones. It hits it's mark. Right in the optic.
I smirk as he gives a roar stopping right in front of me. He tries to get it out of his optic but his digits are too big.
'How'd you like that you piece of slag?' I think victoriously, feeling vicious.
I make a move quickly and jump off my bike onto him and climb up. I start pulling out wires as hard and quickly as possible, trying to cause him as much pain as I can. I climb up higher up to his optic, I twist the dagger before pulling it out making him shout. He starts to fall back from the pain and as he falls his ginormous hands knock me in the air. The pain is instant as is the blood coming out of the side of my head.
Everything goes black for a second as I fly through the air. The ground comes closer and closer to me as I think of ways to land in which I don't go splat, but none come to mind. The ground is rapidly coming closer as my heart beats faster. This is going to hurt. I brace myself but then I see something making my eyes widen.
A flash of gold….
What was that? Suddenly, something takes hold of me and there's a lot of colors. Everything is spinning around and around. Am I upside down? I can't tell but it's over as quickly as it started. I close my eyes and then open them, everything going back to normal. I'm in a car. A pretty nice one at that. But who am I inside?
Autobot or Decepticon?
"Urgh! You're leaking everywhere, stop it! If this wasn't a direct order from Prime…" complains a deep voice around me.
Definitely an Autobot, the attitude is poor, the exterior is... gold?
"Sunstreaker?" I say with realization.
Wait….. Sunstreaker wasn't in the second movie, in fact, he isn't in any of the movies. Maybe the movies aren't a hundred percent accurate? I don't know but I don't have time to think about it. It seems like he doesn't hear me however as he continues to rant. Did Sunstreaker just save me?
"What are you doing here? I thought all of the Autobots except Bumblebee were too far away?" I question interrupting him.
"They're just too slow They're nearly here but they're not fast enough so I went ahead," explains Sunstreaker cockily.
"Don't forget me bro," comments Sideswipe through the radio.
So Sideswipe is here too.
"Why the hell did you save me and where are you taking me?" I demand, sitting up straighter as I think more clearly.
"Would you stop squirming you fleshba- Hold on a nano second. How'd you know my name?" questions Sunstreaker confused as we speed further away from Barricade.
"I'll tell you later. First things first," I say as I see something outside.
I search my pockets and hidden compartments for weapons but I'm nearly out. I pull out one of my more experimental weapons. I have to put the pieces together quickly making it look like a round metal ball. I press the red button making it beep repetitively, getting faster and faster. I kick open Sunstreaker's driver door making him swerve.
"What the pit are you doing?!" shouts Sunstreaker angry and surprised.
I throw it out at the Decepticons that's following us.
"Just drive! Drive! Drive!" I order, pressing down on the pedal, urging him to go faster.
"Woah! Femme! What the-" starts Sunstreaker but he's cut off by a loud boom and the ground shaking.
I look behind to see the Decepticon engulfed in a bright white light. I hear Sideswipe whistle appreciatively but I don't know where he actually is.
"What the pit, you fleshbag?! You could of blew me up!" protests Sunstreaker angrily.
I roll my eyes but suddenly the seat belt tightens around me, pain in my ribs flares up. Damn it. My ribs must be a little bruised from Barricade.
"What are you-" I exclaim surprised.
"There's no way in pit I'm letting you do something that crazy again while your inside of me," denies Sunstreaker.
I start struggling but he tightens his grip, hurting me.
"Sunstreaker, if you don't let me go so help me-" I shout irritated.
"You'll do what puny fleshbag?"snarls Sunstreaker.
I reach my hand lower and lower to the dagger in my boot.
"Don't test me, prima donna," I growl inching closer and closer.
"Prima-What? And would you stop leaking? You're going to get all your slimy fluids all over me!" complains Sunstreaker disgusted.
I open my mouth to retort but then I realize what he said. Leaking? My head suddenly starts pounding and I put my hand to my head, I feel something wet and pull back to see blood.
"Leaking? Doesn't that mean-" starts Sideswipe but I interrupt.
"Unstrap me," I command calmly and quietly.
"No way-" protests Sunstreaker but I cut him off.
"Unstrap me or I'll leak all over your interior," I threaten.
Sunstreaker removes the restrains immediately and I push down the flap to reveal a mirror. Okay… It's not too bad. I may have a concussion though. I look in the medical part of my belt. The one pocket not filled with weapons. I grab something and I snap something inside making the pouch cold before putting it on my head. It's definitely going to bruise. All I can do is slow down the bleeding and stop my head from swelling too badly.
"Aren't you humans fragile? Should I call Ratchet?" starts Sideswipe.
"No. I've dealt with a lot worse and still fought to the death. I can deal with my own injuries, I might need butterfly stitches if it's not as bad as it looks," I say before moving the compress away to look at it again.
I'll need to clean it out later. I'm not going to waste my medical supplies when I might get into worse shape later.
"Butterflies are insects. Do we need to catch one?" asks Sideswipe curiously.
"No. Where are you taking me?" I ask frustrated.
"I have orders to take you to a squishy named Lennox, and I can't get you there fast enough. I can't wait to get you out," grumbles Sunstreaker weaving through the battlefield.
"Why did you catch me? You hate humans, well anything that's squishy and can make a mess on you," I elaborate.
"I wish I didn't," mutters Sunstreaker.
"You almost didn't. Sunny didn't want to touch you at all, even if it meant you was going to die. It was only when Prime gave him a direct order that he did it," comments Sideswipe.
Well, don't I feel special?
"Don't call me that," snaps Sunstreaker.
"Now's not the time to argue. Just drop me off somewhere and go. I can handle myself. I don't need a babysitter. They need you fighting and you can't do that when I'm here," I order.
"See, even the squishy see's sense. Why are we bothering with it when it doesn't even want our help?" points out Sunstreaker.
"Call me it again and I'll drive my heel straight through the dashboard," I threat annoyed.
"You wouldn't dare," growls Sunstreaker, his engine revving angrily.
"Just try me, sunshine," I bite back, glaring down at him.
"What did you just call me?!" questions Sunstreaker.
"Sun. Shine," I emphasize slowly.
I can hear Sideswipe's chuckling in the background as Sunstreaker's engine revs louder and aggressively.
"As funny as this is, you're going to drive straight past the drop point, sunshine," mocks Sideswipe innocently.
I hear Sideswipe give a shout of pain before he talks again.
"Come on bro. I'm fighting Decepticons here, you can't slap me through the bond," protests Sideswipe.
Sunstreaker ignores him as he slows down a tiny bit.
"I can finally get rid of the squishy," comments Sunstreaker eagerly before suddenly the door opens and the seat I'm sitting on pops up, making me fall out.
I push my hands off the floor doing a flip before gambolling, trying to wear off the momentum, before I land low to the ground, one hand on the ground for balance. I nearly throw a dagger at Sunstreaker for that stunt he pulled, but I resist since I can't afford to waste weapons. I watch him speed off to fight the nearest Decepticon, still resisting the urge to throw something at him. Instead I turn around and run into a building. Maybe I can find some weapons inside. I run down the corridors avoiding the soldiers running past until I see a familiar face or rather faces.
"Epps! Lennox!" I call before coming to a stop in front of them.
"Shadow, are you okay? You're bleeding," says Lennox alarmed.
"It's a scratch. I'm fine. I need more weapons and fast," I say urgently, wasting no time with pleasantries.
"I thought you was doing a good job with your motorbike and swords," replies Lennox.
"Yeah girl. I saw you in action. You got mad skills," compliments Epps.
"My motorcycle was totaled by Barricade. I've used up most of my daggers and grenades. I need more," I half demand.
I can't believe my bike was totaled. And most of my daggers are gone. I'm going to have to recover them after the battle.
"Over there," points Lennox.
I follow his hand to the ammo behind him. I go straight for the grenades and dagger like weapons. What's the point of a bazooka when you're a sitting duck? I need weapons that can do some damage but easy to run with, and that's not a gun. I'm not fond of them. Although daggers don't do much damage against giant metal aliens especially if they are not made from the same materials I use, as long as I can get in between the plating, it should do something. Even if it's just a distraction.
"Wait, that's all you're taking?" questions Epps.
"That's all I need," I reply confidently before a sudden thought hits me.
"Where's Sam?" I ask.
"I don't know but the kid can handle himself…. kinda. He's probably with one of the soldiers anyway. Why?" asks Lennox confused.
"You might want to find out where he is. Just a tip for you," I answer them as I store the weapons in my mostly empty pockets.
"But why?" questions Epps.
I open my mouth to answer but Lennox beats me to it, figuring things out.
"He's a target," realizes Lennox, his face paling a little.
"The kid's a target?" asks Epps surprised.
Can't he see why?
"Maybe. But you got to assume he is. Because what did he do in mission city?" I ask.
"He killed Megatron," answers Epps horrified as he finally gets it.
"Exactly," I reply.
"But Starscream is in power now. Ironhide told me about him. He's wanted control of the Decepticons for hundreds of years. He's happy Megatron is dead," says Lennox confused.
"Just because Starscream is happy doesn't mean the rest of the Decepticons are, and someone's going to want revenge for their master," I explain.
Lennox and Epps look panicked as they realized what I say is a very real possibility. Lennox immediately puts his hands on his radio.
"Anyone got eyes on the Witwicky kid and Mikaela?" asks Lennox into the radio.
All we hear is silence on the other end. Epps and Lennox share a look before he repeats the question. I fold my arms, waiting for a response. Sam can't die though or else he can't bring Prime back to life in the second movie and it's game over. But then again, Sunstreaker's here so what do I know? Maybe Sam does die. Oh well. The kid had a good run. But that's what you get when you take down a tyrant, revenge follows. My thoughts are interrupted abruptly.
"The Witwicky kid and his friend is with me sir," says a female voice that I recognise quickly.
Mia.
"Good. Get him down in a bunker somewhere safe and stay with him," orders Lennox.
"Yes sir," responds Mia down the radio.
"What the hell are you doing out of your cell?" growls a voice.
I look over to see the red head soldier I went shopping with along with blondie. The red head looks angry to say the least while the other one looks cautious at me. What was their names? I'm sure it's something stupid. Something with a C isn't it? Cassie? Cindy? No… I remember now, Claire and Candy.
I roll my eyes and ignore her as I turn back to look at a map of the base trying to see where I am and where all the exits are.
"She has committed no crime. We were wrong." answers Lennox.
"Wrong? No, we got it right. That traitor is working with the Decepticons. She's the one who gave the information away," protests Claire as Candy stand by.
"Do you have any proof?" asks Epps.
"No but-" starts Claire but is interrupted.
"Then enough soldier. Right now we need to focus-" starts Lennox but I ignore him as I hear something behind us.
I turn around to see a Decepticon. A laughing Decepticon aiming at us. And we're standing in the middle of an armoury. We won't get away with just a scratch if he fires. I move quickly and I get a grenade, I pull the top off before throwing it at him, right in the mouth. That got the others attention. I think that'll stop him laughing for a while.
"I brought us some time but we need to-" I start but I'm interrupted.
"Major Lennox, we shouldn't listen to her. She's with the Decepticons," insists Claire strongly.
"Yeah, that's why I threw the grenade in his mouth," I comment sarcastically.
"Soldier, the Major said that's enough," says Epps firmly.
"Just one thing though-" starts Claire but it's my turn to interrupt.
"Lennox, keep your lap dogs under your control. I may tolerate you but not them," I say, seeing Claire get angrier.
"Where was you just before the attack?" questions Claire.
I keep my face neutral easily from years of practice.
"You think we have time for this? Once the Decepticon recovers, he'll take this building down," I point out, a little concerned about big and grumpy out there.
"Answer the question," persists Claire stubbornly.
"Claire, we need to go," says Candy seeing sense.
"This first," protests Claire determined.
Oh yeah, because this is much more important than our lives.
"Shadow, you was outside the base, where were you?" asks Lennox as he and Epps turn to me.
"Can't we do this later?" I ask in return.
"No, now," insists Epps, Claire giving me a victorious smirk.
I understand why they want to know. We're on a battlefield, they need to be with people they trust. I would be the same if it wasn't for the angry Cybertronian.
"I needed air Lennox. I don't like being suffocated on a base I need to occasionally get out. Now, can we get out of here?" I answer truthfully, frustrated that I had to admit that.
Lennox looks me straight in the eye, not many are able to do that, before he nods.
"Let's go," says Lennox gathering his things.
"But Major-" starts Claire frowning.
"No. She warned me about the attack," says Lennox as he packs anything he can before ordering everyone to leave.
"She was just trying to gain your trust. She could of signaled them. Major, I'm telling you, you can't trust a person like her-" carries on Claire as we all walk towards the door after everyone else.
"I said enough. One more word out of you and I'll ship you off to one of the worst outposts, got it?" questions Lennox seriously, fed up with her.
Is that a promise?
"Yes sir," grounds out Claire reluctantly as I give a small smirk.
"And Shadow, I'm keeping a closer eye on you. We'll have a proper talk when this is over. I can't give you my full trust yet," says Lennox as we move down the stairs.
"I don't expect you to," I reply in turn.
"Shadow, you stay near us where I can see you. If you disappear longer than a reasonable time, I'll send a search team to find and detain you, even in this battlefield," warns Lennox as we exit the building and run to the nearest cover.
"Fine, I'll stay near you but I'm not watching your back and I definitely don't trust you to watch mine," I state clearly and coldly.
Lennox nods in understanding. Lennox and his team starts their attack on the Decepticon. They work efficiently better than the other teams here. Attacking a Decepticon with his back turned as it see's a group of NEST soldiers to take its anger on. I stealthily make my way to the Decepticon while's it's busy with the two groups firing at him. I start climbing higher and higher. Bullets shooting off the armor plating. They better not shoot me. Lennox's team use high explosive rounds, the Decepticon uses his arm to block the attack but it results with it's arm blown off. Someone's been experimenting with weaponry. I cling on to the back of the Decepticon as it roars.
Damn it…. my hands are slipping. I use my upper body strength to push myself up as I dangle. If I fall at this height it's going to hurt, maybe even kill me. But I'm too stubborn to die this way. I've been through too much to die from falling off a Decepticon. I grit my teeth and stretch out further with my other hand, finally getting a tight hold. I hear the sound of transformation and gunfire but that doesn't matter to me. I push myself up and finally reach his neck. Abruptly a bullet whizzes passes my ear cutting a strand of hair. I turn around and throw a throwing star at the idiot who nearly shot me in the head. The man pales at the star that flew a few cm's from his head. I glare at him. Learn to aim right, idiot. From the direction of the bullet it made it easy to determine who shot it. And my aim never strays. I didn't throw that to kill. That was a warning shot. One he clearly understands. I waste no more time on him as I get my grenade, using my teeth to pull the pin before planting it on his neck. I look down calculating the best course of action in a split second before letting go, putting my dagger down through his armor, sliding down the Decepticons back. The grenade goes off, beheading the Decepticon as I let go, gambolling as I land. I stand up and shake my head a little dizzy and pounding, my ribs screaming in protest making my hand go to them. I look over to Lennox's team who look confused until they see me. My eyes widen in shock however as a Decepticon (the one I injured earlier, with it's jaw hanging) comes charging behind them, looking angry.
"Decepticon!" I yell in warning.
They immediately turn around. They run out of the way as it's arm transforms into a machine gun. It shoots towards them and towards me, forcing me to take cover behind the fallen body of the headless Decepticon. I look up to see Lennox using his grenade launcher shooting the Decepticon multiple times, doing some serious damage. The Decepticons aim goes off course as it falls to one leg and I see Lennox go down abruptly with a shout.
Lennox!
The Decepticon goes down, probably in emergency shutdown mode so it can repair itself. Lennox wasn't suppose to get shot. The Decepticons aren't even suppose to attack. This is wrong. So wrong. Lennox can't die. He's in the other movies. He's got to be alive. I try hard to convince myself before an earlier thought comes to my mind: The future is flux.

There's never just one road. One path. There is a variety of ways to get to your destination. If you don't have a destination in mind then you have an infinite possibilities. You have infinity of roads to choose from. But sometimes you don't get a choice. Sometimes you're pushed onto a certain road. Time can be like that. An infinite possibilities, an infinite amount of roads. Until one day something happens and you're pushed onto a certain road, one you can't turn back from. You can still leave that road and enter another but there are less roads now, less choices. And sometimes, there are only two direction. Like now: Life or death…
