'Suspicion'
The raven haired lad pointed the gun on his victim. The latter was frozen on the ground as he begged for his life. The fire-arm on his temple was not even shaking, a proof that the perpetrator had no plan to spare his life. "To think that our dialogue had switched. How's the feeling?" A smug smile formed on his lips.
"You were supposed to be-"
"Dead?" he chuckled bitterly. "I came back from hell to drag you with me."
"Forgive me! Please forgiv-" he didn't even finished speaking for his body was thrown on the tiled floor due to the impact created between the gun and his head itself.
"See you in hell." No emotions could be mirrored in his eyes except for hatred.
Slowly, he walked out from the mansion owned by the one he killed a minute ago. All was going according to his plan.
Silence was his companion as he drove along the empty highways. How could he ever forget nightmare seventeen years ago?
"Happy Birthday!" He was now seven year old. His father patted his head as her mother served the cake. He really enjoyed the day.
Hours later, he heard noises that woke him up from his deep slumber. His mother was crying as his father was shouting angrily. He peeked a little on the door as he easily recognized the visitors. It was his father's workmates. He didn't know how the job of his father works but he could recall that it was about computers.
"Give me the program!" His eyes widened as his father's best friend pointed a knife on his dad's throat.
"I don't have it."
"Liar! Give me or else.!" The scene went by and in a swift, the visitors left their place leaving his parents lying on the floor, covered with their own blood. He tried to call them but no one gave a response. "Dad? Mom?" His tears started to flow.
Although he was scared, he went with all the courage he had, running to the visitors shouting, "Bad people! What did you do to mommy and daddy? Help!"
This caught the retreating figures' attention as they came back. He thought that they would help him but instead, he found himself being dragged by the neck almost blocking his airways.
With ragged breathing he called for help but they just chuckled causing him to cry louder. A moment later, he was slapped by one of them as his body was thrown with so much force inside the living room. Having a small frame, this caused the kid to lose consciousness.
It felt hot. He opened his eyes only to see that he was trapped in the fire with nowhere else to escape. "Mom! Dad!" he called again. No response. He just closed his eyes, accepting his fate.
"Cut!"
"Well done. So that's for scene 1," said by the director who looked completely pleased.
Ren turned to remove his black cloak as he prepared for the next scene. He was assisted by the stylist for his hair needed to be altered.
The film was about a man named Kyo Kurosaki who had witnessed how his parents were killed by his father's subordinates at the age of seven. He too was almost dead due to the fire but someone saved him, and he had forgotten who it was. The accident left him with nothing but a scar on his back. In the public's view, the fire was treated as an accident and the cause of death of his parents and him. His family's murderers believed that no one survived in the Kurosaki family.
As a kid, he tried to kill himself multiple times but he failed. Basically, he had nowhere to turn to. For years before he turned twelve he was living on streets, stealing food and money from other people. He would never dare to trust anyone. His heart was totally closed. In that point of his life, he realized that he was not the one to blame. He would never be miserable if not for his parents' death. This was all because of his father's workmates. They should repent for their sins. In conclusion, he started to formulate a plan. Revenge.
One day upon thinking on what to do, he lost consciousness as he walked on the road. When he woke up a day later, he was lying in a comfortable bed with the dirt on his body completely eradicated. He learned that he was picked up by a rich childless couple who took pity on him as he was burning with a high fever. He was asked for his name but he pretended to forgot everything, the Usui couple bought his excuses and asked him if he could stay with them. He gladly obliged by showing a smile that hardly reached his eyes. Later on, he was adopted legally and was given a new name, Kyosuke Usui. He was homeschooled until high school. Kyo was naturally brilliant so he never once encountered any problems related to studies even though he was never gone to school in the past five years.
It was on his first year in college as he resumed his plan. He searched for information regarding those murderers. It was somewhat hard for he doesn't know where to start. He only remembered their faces but not their name.
In his first day of college life, he met Hikaru Ichinose. Hikaru is a lively guy which made him annoyed, he also got along with everyone, a totally opposite of him. Time passed as he became accustomed to his presence, they became inseparable. Still, he never opened up about his past to him.
He continued his killing spree as he played on his father's friends one by one. When only one person left, he discovered that it was Hikaru's father. Knowing that fact never made him hesitate at all. Now, his goal is to be closed to Hikaru's family.
One night, he was invited to dinner by Hikaru's mom. When he met his mom, he became envious of his friend. Hikaru's mom hugged him as she noted that he was now part of their family. She welcomed him with a sincere smile and asked to be refer to as 'Mom'. Later on, he met Nanami Ichinose- Hikaru's younger sister. Little did he know that their meeting would change everything.
The movie will be premiered on Christmas Eve. Starring Ren as Kyo Kurosaki/Kyosuke Usui, Akihiko Kashino as Detective Daisuke Kaneshiro- a police officer who was incharged of Kyo's killings and Nanami's boyfriend. Nanami Ichinose will be portrayed by Chiori Amamiya.
"We will start filming Hikaru and Kyo's first encounter which will be used as a flashback. Please stand in your positions." The director was really eager to start, he could feel good vibes today.
Ren wore casual clothes together with his altered hairstyle which made him looked young. He looked at Hikaru with eyes boring his body; something that Kyo would never do.
"Tsuruga-san." Hikaru bowed politely at him, the raven haired lad seemed displeased with it. "Pleased to work with you."
He smiled, a Ren Tsuruga smile to be precise. "Let's do our best Fuwa-san." Yes, Hikaru Ichinose will be portrayed by none other than Sho Fuwa. Seeing Fuwa, made him remember what happened last week after the blonde left together with Moru.
"It's me." Silence covered the whole table as no one dared to speak.
Recovering from her reverie, Kyoko let out a soft gasp. "W-what?"
"Tsuruga-kun?" Yashiro inquired, looking puzzled on his charge's statement. While on the other hand, Kanae's lips curved upward to a smirk.
"No, you completely got it wrong. What I mean is, if I were him, I'm sure that I will proudly declare that to everyone." Thinking back on what he said, he didn't even know the reason why those statement came out from his lips. Was it that he was really fond of the kid that he also want to have a child like that? Man, he's getting old.
"I'm surprised on what you did. I really thought that you were going to admit that you are his father. Incidentally, Moru has some of your features." It came from Kanae's lips as if she was trying to hint something and it was quite suspicious for Kyoko was fidgeting from her sit.
"Admit? What are you trying to imply? Well, maybe if I were to be his father, I'd give up anything for that kid and his mother. His father must be really lucky, Kotonami-san." Hearing this, Kyoko was disturbed. Really? He thinks that Moru's father is lucky? But why did he forget what happened to them years ago? Was he just pretending to be sincere? Or maybe because of love? Maybe he had forgotten about it because it was nothing special. Right, he will never love her. After all, she was just Kyoko and nothing more. A mere junior of his.
Kyoko was readying herself to go to the comfort room, she couldn't take what she was hearing anymore. She turned to lift herself from her sit but Kanae's hands gripped hers, forcing her to sit down again. "I want you to hear this," she heard her whispered only for them to hear.
"Sadly, Moru's father was nothing like that." The gentlemen's eyes were filled with confusion.
"Fuwa Sho?" She almost facepalmed on Yashiro's guess. Really, how stupid can he get?
"Did he..?" He kept it hanging just in case but he was sure that they were following on how the conversation was going. Remembering Moru not mentioning about his father on their first encounter somewhat gave him an idea that he was not sure of.
"I cannot tell you the answer. I'm not in the position to say anything anyway."
"B-but why?" The raven haired male followed up.
"Because-" Kanae Kotonami was interrupted by a ring from Ren's phone.
"It's okay, don't mind it." Ren stated, ignoring the call until it stopped and it rang again.
"I think you should pick it up Tsuruga-san." With Kyoko, asking him to pick it up he dared not to protest as he immediately stood up to go outside, muttering an inaudible 'Excuse me.'
A minute later when Ren went back, "What happened?" Yashiro inquired to his charge.
"Nothing. Please continue our conversation earlier."
"Why are you eager to know Tsuruga-san?" Kanae stated as if challenging the lad.
'Why are you eager to know?' That question made him froze as he didn't know what to answers. Really, why was he really curious about that matter. Tsuruga Ren should never act that way. Why was he feeling that he was being out of character?
"Sorry, I just want to thank his parents for bringing up a kid like him." A lame excuse. Even Yashiro never bought it but they kept silent.
"Don't worry, his mother loves Moru more than anything." Kyoko's bestfriend sighed in defeat. "Excuse me but we need to go." She made Kyoko bid a farewell as they both exit from the place. The two men quietly watched them leave.
After their silhouette disappeared, he drop Yashiro to the agency as he went to his next destination.
"Kuon!" Julie ran towards her son. They are in a flat which Kuu Hizuri borrowed from the president.
"Mom, Hizuri-san."
"It's Dad for you." Kuu animatedly pouted as he joked.
"Dad."
"How are you?"
"Fine. I guess."
"How about Kuon?" Kuu asked, pertaining to the other Kuon which was Kyoko.
"She's back."
"Dear, I want to see her." Julie leaned on Kuu's shoulder. "Where is she? I need to thank her."
He too had many things to thank her. Kyoko is her light, she helped him fight his demons. Within her, he learned not to deny Kuon. He accepted his other self as he also forgave his sins. Kyoko made him realize that sulking would never help. That there is always a room for acceptance and forgiveness. But then she left, leaving him hanging.
"Son," he just looked his father eyes. "You love her?" It was more of a statement than a question.
He smiled wholeheartedly, "After all, Kyoko Hizuri sounds better than Kyoko Mogami ."
Kyoko Mogami had just moved in on a flat beside Kanae Kotonami's. Moru liked it there. Sho also helped them and he met Kyoko's bestfriend. They were not getting along with each other at first but eventually they did. They had no choice after all.
It was Sunday as Kanae went home to her family and Kyoko went on a mall together with Moru. They happily chatted as he tell her about his new school and new friends. She felt relief as Moru was happy in their current life. Never did he mention a word concerning his dad since then. It was like he was considering her feelings about that matter.
They were making their way to the hypermarket when she saw a pair of shoes. It looked like a fairy shoes. As expected she was enchanted with it. She asked her son if it would be okay to go there, Moru replied by pulling her hand to the stall's location.
She was busy examining the shoes when she heard Moru's name being called.
"Grandmama and Grandpapa?" Kyoko turned to look who was Moru talking to.
"Kuon?"
"Kuu-otousan?" They spoke at the same time.
"Mom, do you know Grandpapa and Grandmama?" Moru carelessly asked as he looked on his mother. "Mom?" His mom was standing still on her post.
Trying to confirm if she heard it right, Julie smiled on the kid, "Is she your mom Moru-chan?" The kid nodded his head.
Her lips opened a bit, leaving a small gap in between. Kyoko has a family now? Does Kuon know about this?
The water brushing his body was cold and he didn't mind it though. He was too focus on his thoughts.
Moru. Where else did he hear the name Moru? Moru called Fuwa, 'Uncle' he also called Kanae, 'Aunt'. How in hell can they be connected to each other? Moru's mother is a bestfriend of Kotonami. Then who is this bestfriend who was left by Moru's father that is also connected to Fuwa?
An image flashed on his head; that day when he saw Fuwa going into the mall. He talked about Moru. Kyoko happily talked about Moru too. Wait. Kyoko?! Could it be?
