'What are we going to do?' I thought to myself frantically as the Cybermen continued to repeat, 'delete, delete,' over and over again. 'The Doctor better think of something quick before they actually do what they say.'
'Come on, think, think, think!' Suddenly, I heard another voice in my head that sounded so much like the Doctor that it was scary but I shook my head internally. No, it couldn't be. I was just imaging his voice. Yeah, that's it. Then I heard him again. 'I've got it!'
Because I was distracted from telling myself that I hadn't heard the Doctor's voice in my head, I jumped when he suddenly pointed the power cell at the Cybermen which expelled a golden light and bounced off of one of them and onto the others, disintegrating them right on the spot.
"What the hell was that?"
Instead of answering Ricky, the Doctor exclaimed to the now disintegrated Cybermen, "We'll have that instead – RUN!"
I didn't have to asked twice and neither did anyone else, we ran. A blue van drove into the scene, screeching and hooking the horn.
"Everyone in!" The woman inside cried.
Mickey, Ricky, Jake, Soph (I decided on calling the other me so I wouldn't be confused), and I ran to the van. When I saw that Pete, Rose, and the Doctor weren't following, I stopped and whirled around to see the Doctor talking urgently to Pete.
Before I could stop myself, I called out, "Theta, what are you doing?!" It was only when the Doctor's wide eyes snapped to mine that I realized what I said. I slapped my hands to my mouth, my breathing quickening. Oh shit… We didn't have time to say anything as I felt a hard tug on my arm. It was Soph.
"Come on," she hissed.
I didn't have time to protest because she had already tugged me the rest of the way to the van. She pushed me into the back. I turned to glare at her but she slammed the door in my face and climbed into the front of the van.
"Come on, get a move on!" The woman in the driver's seat called to the Doctor, Rose, and Pete.
A couple minutes later, they came into the van, joining me in the back. Unfortunately, the Doctor was right beside me and I didn't look at him which was so hard to do considering his heated gaze was on me.
"Finished chatting?! Never seen a slower get away in my life!"
We drove off and the Doctor was still staring at me. I was getting irritated by it. If he wanted to say something, why couldn't he just say it already? I glanced at him and met his heated gaze. Just when it looked like he was going to say something, Ricky, who was glaring through the grilling of the front of the van at the power cell that the Doctor was still holding, spoke up.
"What was that thing?" he asked.
I held back of sigh of relief when the Doctor looked away from to look at Ricky to answer his question,
"Little bit of technology from my home."
"It's stopped glowing," Mickey said and I noticed that he was right.
"Has it ran out or something?" I asked and the Doctor's gaze snapped to mine again. Instantly I wished that I hadn't said anything. The intense look in his eyes made me shiver.
"Well, has it?" Mickey asked, looking between the two of us confused.
"No," The Doctor finally answered as he broke his gaze with me and put the power cell in his pocket. "It's on a revitalizing loop. It'll charge back up in about for hours."
I felt a different gaze on me and I looked to see that it was Soph with her head titled to the side as she stared at me with a calculating gaze as if she was trying to figure me out. She didn't let the gaze last long before looking at the Doctor.
"No wonder you were looking at me like that, you were thinking of her, weren't you?" she asked.
I looked confused, but the Doctor didn't as the look on his face showed that he knew exactly what she was talking about and he flushed slightly. A surge of jealousy went through me. What had happened between him and the alternate me? I would have asked if it wasn't for Ricky interrupting.
"Right," Ricky said loudly. "So we don't have a weapons anymore."
"Yeah, we've got weapons. Might not be one of those metals things, but they're good enough for men like him." Jake was staring at Pete with narrowed eyes.
"Leave him alone!" Rose said, voice raising shrilly. Something Soph rolled her eyes at. "What's he done wrong?"
"Well for one, he laid a laid a trap that wiped out the Government and secondly, he left Lumic in charge," Soph answered with a sneer. "If that's not something he's done, I don't know what is." She sounded bitter.
"If I was part of that, do you think I'd leave my wife in there behind?" Pete snapped, looking over at Soph.
She looked as if she wanted to punch him from the glare that she had plastered on her face.
"Maybe your plan went wrong," Ricky pointed out. "Still gives us the right to execute you."
"Talk about executions, you'll make ME your enemy," The Doctor said in a hard voice. "And take some really good advice – you don't wanna do that."
"All the same … we have evidence that says Pete Tyler's been working for Lumic since 20.5."
Rose stared at her father, taken aback. "Is that true?" she asked.
Pete looked uncomfortable.
"Tell 'em, Mrs. M," Ricky told the woman who was driving.
She didn't look back at us as she spoke up, "We've got a government mole who feeds us information. Lumic's private files, his South American operations… the lot. Secret broadcasts twice a week."
"Broadcasts from Gemini?" Pete asked.
Ricky glared him, "And how do you know that?"
"I'm Gemini. That's ME."
"Yeah, well you would say that."
Pete sighed heavily. "Encrypted wavelength six-five-seven using binary nine."
Ricky, Jake, and Soph glanced at each other shocked.
"That's the only reason I was working for Lumic. To get information. I thought I was broadcasting to the Security Services, and what do I get? Scooby Doo and his gang. They even got the van!" Pete looked and sounded exasperated at the last thing.
"No, no, no! But the Preachers know what they're doing," Mickey protested confused. "Ricky said he's London Most Wanted!"
Soph snorted with an amused smile. "Is that what he told you?" she asked and at his nod, she shook her head, chuckling, "Wow Ric. Good job at making yourself bad." She teased.
"Oh shut up," he grumbled before sighing, "But yeah, that's not exactly…"
"Not exactly what?"
"I'm London's Most Wanted for … parking tickets." Ricky looked sheepish.
Mickey looked at him in disbelief while the Doctor smiled, Rose raised her eyebrows, and I stifled a laugh.
"Great," Pete muttered.
"They were delibiate!" Ricky retorted devensively. "I was fighting the system. Park anywhere, that's me."
"Good policy," The Doctor said, still smiling, obviously liking what he said. "I do much the same. I'm the Doctor, by the way, if anyone's interested…"
"I'm Sophie, the other one, obviously," I said, missing the way the Doctor tensed up when I said the word, 'obviously.'
"And I'm Rose, hello!" Rose spoke last, waving a hand.
"Even better. That's the name of my dog."
"Wait, what?" I tried so hard not laugh and Rose obviously noticed if the glare on her face any hint. I cleared my throat and looked away from Rose towards the Doctor but I didn't meet his gaze as he tried to meet mine.
"Still," Pete said. "At least I've got the catering staff at my side."
Rose looked at him, glare gone from her face replaced with a soft look. "I knew you weren't a traitor," she said softly.
"Why's that then?" he asked, staring back at her confused.
She glanced at the Doctor, but he was still trying to meet my gaze. Since we both weren't looking at her, we missed the flash of annoyance in her eyes before she turned back to look at Pete.
"I just did," she finally answered.
"They took my wife."
Rose leaned towards him slightly, a serious look in her eyes. "She might still be alive."
"That's even worse."
Since I had gotten control over my laughter, I looked back at them, but I still felt the Doctor's gaze on me.
"'Cos that what Lumic does. He takes the living…and he turns him into those machine."
"Cybermen," Soph said softly and they looked at her. She nodded towards the Doctor, "That's what he called them. That's what they're called, right?" She looked at him and he met her gaze. An unsettled feeling was in my stomach at the way Soph was looking at him. It was the same way I looked at him.
"Yeah," The Doctor said quietly and now all of the eyes were on him. "They're called Cybermen." He looked at Pete, "And I'd take those ear-pods off, if I were you." He took them off and gave them to the Doctor, "You never know … Lumic could be listening." He took out the sonic screwdriver.
Immediately, I flushed at the sight of it, remembering the part of my dream where he pleasured me with it. Just thinking about it made the middle of my stomach tighten and I could feel myself getting wet. I crossed my legs tightly, trying to look as normal as possible while trying not to moan out loud as he turned it on and used it to enable the ear-pods and it didn't help that as he did this, he was looking right in my eyes as if he knew exactly what I was thinking. And it made me wonder if he did. After he finished enabling the ear-pods, he continued speaking, breaking his gaze with me. I breathed a sigh of relief internally.
"But he's overreached himself. He's still just a businessman. He's assassinated the President. All we need to do is get to the city and inform the authorities." A hard look crossed his face, "Because I promise you – this ends tonight."
"Man, he's so hot when he's angry," Soph mumbled to herself, staring at the Doctor intently.
I growled lowly, something she noticed and she smirked over at me, a knowing look in her eyes. I ignored the look and looked out the window.

Age of Steel, Part 2...
I know, I know, the first part is so short. I hate that it, but I think this would be a good way to end the first part but at least in the first part, we had Sophie say the Doctor's name (oh and fyi only the Doctor and Sophie heard his name being called, to everyone else, she said 'Doctor' just so the name is still a secret, you know?) and we got a reaction from Sophie with the sonic screwdriver being used so it wasn't like you didn't get anything from this update ;) Anyway, tell me what you think of the first part of Age of Steel! :D
