"Chamber six now open for human upgrading," A voice of a Cyberman sounded as Rose, Pete, and I darted along the side of the building, trying to remain unseen by the Cybermen. Rose and Pete were running faster than I was with Rose telling Pete quietly to hurry up.
It wasn't long until I lost sight of them.
I groaned out loud and managed to find a hiding spot as a row of Cybermen marched along with a row of brain dead people walking beside them.
"Chamber seven now open for human upgrading," The voice of the Cybermen continued.
I looked around for Pete and Rose, but they were nowhere in sight. Damnit, so much for staying with them. What was I going to do? I couldn't go back and try to find the Doctor because then I would get caught so the other thing I could do was do what I came here to do. Maybe I would find Jackie before something bad happened to her. As I made sure that the ear-pods were doing the same thing as all the others were doing, I couldn't help but feel as if Rose purposely left me behind.
Once the ear-pods were working, I waited until the right moment to join the group of brain dead people filing into the building which wasn't that long of a wait and I made sure that my face was void of all emotion just like the Doctor said as I joined in.
"Chamber nine now open for human upgrading, chamber ten now open for human upgrading. Chamber eleven now open for human upgrading."
I caught a brief glimpse of Pete and Rose, but they were further up the line than me. The thought of Rose purposely leaving me behind was still in my mind and if that was true… I couldn't help but shake my head in disbelief. Was she that jealous of me and the Doctor to stoop to that kind of level? Apparently she was.
I was able to keep my eye on Rose and Pete for a little while until I saw them being roughly taken away by Cybermen.
I gulped internally. Fantastic. Now I wished that I had stayed behind like the Doctor had wanted me to or at least went with him. The Doctor better figure out how to break the connection to the ear-pods before I was dead meat…
Unaware of what was going on with Sophie, the Doctor let himself be lead off by two other Cybermen. Mrs. Moore wasn't with him anymore. A Cyberman killed her and he had been there to see it happen and he couldn't do anything. But this made the decision that he had to make all the more easier ... or at least less difficult.
"I've been captured," The Doctor started off in a ramble to the two Cybermen, "but don't worry - Rose, Pete, and Sophie are still out there, they can rescue me..." As he was marched into the main control room, he saw that Rose and Pete were there ... but Sophie was nowhere in sight. Instantly, he was worried but it didn't question it at the moment and he continued speaking, "Oh, well, nevermind." He looked at Rose, "Where's Sophie?"
She didn't say anything only diverted her eyes sadly and a feeling of dread came over him. "Rose, where is she?" He growled, eyes flashing dangerously.
"She decided to go off on her own," she said softly. "I tried to stop her, Doctor, but she didn't listen. She said that she was done being the other spare part…" She was lying through her teeth but the Doctor didn't notice but Pete did and he looked at her in disbelief.
"And Jackie?" The Doctor changed the subject emotionlessly, his hearts heavy.
Rose flinched at his tone but answered him, "They have her."
"We were too late," Pete added sadly. "Mr. Lumic killed her."
Deciding to get to the task at hand (even though the worry for Sophie was still there in his mind, the Doctor raised his voice, looking around. "Then where he is?" he asked. "The famous Mr. Lumic? Don't we get a chance to meet our Lord and Master?"
"He has been upgraded."
The Doctor stared at the Cyberman that answered, "So he's like you?"
"He is superior. The Lumic Unit has been designated Cyber Controller."
They all turned as the sliding doors opened. Mr. Lumic – now as a Cyberman – rolled through them. He was sitting in an elaborate chair, covered with wires and tubes. Pete was the only one who stood there, looking in amazement.
"This is the Age of Steel and I am its Creator," Mr. Lumic announced.
It was almost my turn to be upgraded. I was fourth in line. It was horrifying to watch all these people be turned into Cybermen. I would have tried to make a run for it, but I was scared to. I still kept my face emotionless as best as I could.
Before long, I was second in line. My face twitched but I remained calm. It was only when I was next that I broke.
"No!" I shouted and tried to run, but a Cybermen grabbed onto my shoulder tightly making me gasp in pain. There was no doubt going to be a bruise there. I was forcefully about to be pushed inside but then all of the sudden, the people who had been brain dead were suddenly alive and screaming and running for their lives. I couldn't help but grin. They did it! Because of the screaming, it distracted the Cyberman, who had my arm, and I managed to get away and ran as fast as I could, bumping into screaming people who were running just as fast as I was.
I followed a couple people who were going in the same direction and found myself outside. Chaos would be the best word to describe the condition that the outside of the building was in.
I continued to run, to go to the one place where I knew that I would be safe.
The TARDIS.
It took me a while to get there. I was exhausted by the time I got there and Rose and Pete standing there. Anger coursed through me at the sight of her.
Rose saw me and her face paled. I stormed over to her, glaring at her.
"What the hell is wrong with you? Leaving me like that!"
Before she could say anything, the Doctor's voice sounded in relived voice, "Sophie."
I turned to face him but when I did, I was surprised to find that there was an angry look on his face. I opened my mouth to question him but he turned towards Rose and Pete, ignoring me. It was like a punch in the stomach.
"I've only got five minutes of power… we've gotta go," The Doctor said softly.
"The Doctor could show ya," Rose said to Pete.
"Thank you. For everything."
Rose had tears in her eyes and for once, I did not feel bad for her. I figured that she had lied to the Doctor about what happened to me and the Doctor believed. I just couldn't believe it.
"Dad," she told Pete and he shook his head instantly, taking a step back.
"Don't," he said, "Just – just don't."
He walked away and the Doctor scratched the back of his neck, looking over at Rose, avoiding my gaze. I stared at him with a frown.
It was then that Mickey, Jake, and Soph appeared. Mickey had the Doctor's suit in his hands.
"Here it is!" he said. "I found it. Not a crease."
The Doctor looked overjoyed as he took it, "My suit! Good man!"
Soph went over to me. "Are you alright?" she asked, actually sounding concerned.
"Yeah," I answered quietly as I continued to stare at the Doctor.
"Now then, Jake, Soph," The Doctor continued, "We're gotta run. But one more thing; Mrs. Moore." A serious look crossed his face, "Her real name is Angela Price. She's got a husband out there. And children. Find them. Tell them how she died saving the world."
"We will," Jake and Soph promised.
"Off we go, then!"
"Uh…thing is, I'm staying."
The Doctor stared at him and I did too. But I wasn't surprised. I somehow knew that he was going to be staying.
Rose looked upset, "You can't."
"It sort of balances out, 'cos this world lost its Ricky," Mickey said, voice trembling slightly but not at that much. Surprising, he didn't look that upset about his decision to stay. "But there's me. And there's work to me done with all those Cybermen still out there."
"But you can't stay."
"Rose, my Gran's here," Mickey told her. "She's still alive. My old gran – remember her."
"Yeah," Rose said, trying to hold her tears back.
"She NEEDS me."
"What about me? What if I need you?"
In unison, Soph and I rolled our eyes.
"Yeah, but Rose… you don't," Mickey said, shaking his head. "We had something a long time ago, but … not anymore."
"Well – we'll come back," Rose was clearly grasping at straws. "We can travel anywhere, come and see you."
"We can't," The Doctor said and she looked at him. "I told you, travel between parallel worlds is impossible. We only got here by accident. We – we fell through a crack in time. When we leave … I've got to close it. We can't ever return." He looked at Mickey, obviously asking if this is what he really wanted.
Mickey glanced at Rose, who looked defeated, and held out a hand towards the Doctor. "Doctor."
He shook his hand and handed Mickey Rose's cellphone, "Take Rose's phone. It's got the code. Get it out there. Stop those factories." Mickey nodded, "And good luck. Mickey, the Idiot." This was said good naturally as he slapped his cheek with a twinkle in his eyes.
"Watch it!" Mickey scolded playfully.
The Doctor headed back towards the TARDIS and after saying goodbye to Mickey, Jake, and Soph, I headed that way too.

I went back into the TARDIS after the Doctor and I left Rose at her house so she could spend time with her mom after losing her in the parallel universe. The Doctor said he would right behind me. I couldn't believe that he was actually angry at me for something that I didn't do and it made my blood boil and my face turn red. I turned around when I heard the TARDIS doors open and I saw the Doctor. He closed the doors and he turned towards me. I opened my mouth to say something but he spoke up before I could. His voice was angry.
"How could you be so stupid!? I expected something like this from Mickey, but you?"
My eyes immediately narrowed at him and they flashed angrily as I shouted back, just as angry, "I didn't do anything! It wasn't my fault! I can't believe you of all people wouldn't believe me! I have never lied to you and I have never given you a reason not to trust me! I know that you've known Rose much longer than me, but you should know when she's lying straight to your face! And if you don't, you must be stupid and dense!"
"Why would Rose lie to me? If she's lying, then what really happened if you're not?" he demanded.
My jaw clenched together angrily. The last time I had felt this angry was when the Doctor and I fought for the first time when we saw my Aunt Sarah Jane.
"Rose lied to you because she could!" I yelled, stepping closer to the Doctor. "She could tell you a lie and you would believe her right away! Rose Tyler can do no wrong in your eyes! You wanna know what actually happened? She purposely lost me and I was trying to find her and Pete but I ended up being stuck in a line full of people who were about to be become Cybermen! And I tried to get away but I ended up getting hurt instead. If it hadn't been for Mickey, Jake, and Soph, turning off the signal to the ear-pods, I would have been turned into one of those things! And that's what happened!" I was in front of him now and turned a heel, ready to stomp off.
"Oi! Where are you going? This isn't over yet!" he yelled and he grabbed my shoulder, yanking me back to face him.
I couldn't stop the whimper that escaped my lips when he pulled on the shoulder where the Cybermen grabbed me at when I tried to get away. Immediately his hand dropped from my shoulder and I looked at the Doctor to see a panicked look on his face.
"What's wrong? Are you all right? I'm sorry!" The panic showed in his voice and it made almost forget why I was mad at him. Key word being almost.
I glared at him, "That's where I got hurt at!" I felt my body stiffen up as I told him in a stiff voice, "Let go of me, please."
But he didn't let me go as I told him too. Instead, he gently and lovingly pulled me closer to his body and I just couldn't stop my body from loosening up at his touch as it always did. Though it didn't help when he pulled the shoulder part of my sweater where I got hurt down along with the strap of the tank top and he started to place gentle kisses on my shoulder. Pleasant shivers went up my spine as he did this and my body stumped against his. Memories of the dream came to me as he kissed my shoulder and remembering the feelings I felt during it, it left me wanting him to kiss me and do other things to me.
He stopped with the kisses and pulled back from my shoulder almost making me groan in disappointment. He blew on the spot where the bruise was and gold energy wrapped around it before disappearing. Instantly, the pain in my shoulder was gone and he glanced up at me with a blush on his cheeks.
"There," he murmured. "That should be better."
I stared at him dazed as I remembered the part of my dream where he bit my neck and healed it the same way that he just did my shoulder. It didn't take me that long to remember why I was mad at him and I snapped out of my daze, jerking away from the Doctor's touch.
"You can't do that!" I cried frustrated as I fixed my shirt and tank top, returning to glaring at the Doctor. "I'm still mad at you!"
"Sophie." He looked exasperated, "Rose has no reason to lie to me. And she's your best friend! Why would she purposely lose you?"
I didn't take notice to the way he swallowed thickly as he stared at me as I rolled my eyes. "She was my best friend!" I corrected him loudly. "As for why she would try to something like that is because she's in love with you and she's jealous because I'm…" I stopped abruptly and winced to myself. I had said too much. I may have told him how I felt in my dream, but it was just a dream and this one wasn't.
"What happened?" he asked. "Why is she no longer your friend? You what, Sophie?"
I ignored his last question and I shook my head in relief at his other two questions, "My God. Did you really think I would stay friends with her after the things she said to me when we saw my aunt?"
The Doctor visibly flinched and from the look in his eyes, I could tell that he was remembering what Rose had said to me.
"You're right," he finally admitted. "I'm sorry. She has been out of control and hurting you. I'm sorry for being so ignorant about it." He met my eyes, "You're what though? What were you going to say?"
"It doesn't matter, just forget about it," I answered in a mumble. I changed the subject, biting my bottom lip as I asked him a question that I had been wondering, "What happened between you and the alternate me?"
The Doctor looked embarrassed and cleared his throat, "Ah…your alternate…she kissed me…flirted…she is quite the flirt." He looked into my eyes deeply, "But it didn't mean anything to me. She's not you."
Though he had been looking into my eyes, the only thing I heard was that my alternate kissed the Doctor, my Doctor. My stomach twisted horribly at the thought.
"She … kissed … you …" I managed to say, wrapping an arm around my stomach as I turned away. "Is that all?"
Frowning, he came up from behind me and hugged me tightly. I leaned back against him unconsciously.
"Yes," he told me softly. "That's all. I didn't let her do anymore." I closed my eyes as he kissed the back of my neck gently making me shiver.
I quickly moved away from him and stepped back. "Did you kiss her back?" I asked quietly.
"I sort of kissed her back," he admitted. I didn't say anything and there was silence between us but the Doctor broke it, speaking softly, "Sophie? Say something, please."
"I don't know what to say," I finally said quietly.
"I'm sorry," he whispered as I felt his arms around me again and he pressed his face into my hair while his arms tightened around me slowly.
The feelings I was feeling at the moment were overwhelming and though I might end up regretting it, I had to tell him how I felt and damn the consequences.
"Doctor…" I took a deep breath, "I'm in love with you." And I waited for him to say something…
TBC...
Original chapter next! ;) Once again, I'm having help with it from my friend, the same one who helped me with the sex/dream scene. Oh and again, it will be in third person with both the Doctor and Sophie's POV. Oh and it is finished, so shouldn't be too long until you get a new chapter. That's all I'm going to say... see you next time!
P.S. Loved all of the songs you picked and I listened to each one and completely agree with them matching Dophie! ;)
