When I finally woke up, I realized it was the next day, and I missed out on eating anything at all yesterday. When I glanced over at the clock, it was eight in the morning. Of course, I decided I should probably go eat now. Getting up, I made my way downstairs. The usual early morning crowd was there.

"Good morning." Daniella greeted me, already eating her food.

"Yeah… Yeah…" I grabbed some food. "Good morning…" I mumbled as I sat down with them. "How can you guys be up this early…?" I asked them.

The secretary simply shrugged. "It is my sworn duty as a secretary to always be on time."

I blinked at her a few times. "What is there to be on time… exactly?" I looked around. "We don't have jobs or anything…"

Serena simply shrugged. "It doesn't have anything to do with that. I'm up this early because it's the norm for me. It's probably the same for her."

Daniella nodded. "Precisely." She finished eating and stood up. "I can't seem to break this schedule anyways. So might as well uphold it, am I right?"

I had a schedule too, when I went to school. But that was easily thrown out the window. "If you say so, as for me, I don't like being up this early."

"Aww, what's the problem, Riley?" Stephan hoped in the seat next to mine. Odd, I didn't hear him come downstairs, or walk into the room at all.

"Huh… morning…" I greeted him back. He still had that chipperness to him. "Don't you think you'll be able to tone down your happiness?"

His smile still would not be removed from his face. "Nope, it's here to stay." He sat up straight. "Well, either way, I think there's some new areas we can explore soon." He tilted his head at me. "Shouldn't we all go out and explore it soon?"

I looked around, shaking my head. "We should wait till the others are here." I told him. That should be a good enough of an excuse to not go out yet, right?

"Alright, that's the spirit! Going with everyone else!" He started eating his food.

Soon, everyone else gathered in the lobby.

Everyone else seemed to be the same amount of talkative except for the obvious Caren and Lily, who were just eating their food silently.

I let out a small sigh before moving over to sit with them. "Hey gals…" I greeted them, but it was met with silence. This wasn't going to be the easiest.

"Hey…" Lily said with a little sorrow in her voice. "Do you think today will be a good day?"

God, I am not meant for this. I'm not the Ultimate Therapist. I'm just Lucky! And even then, luck doesn't actually exist. "Yeah, of course today will be better."

"Alright, everyone is here." Stephan announced, hoping on the end of the table. "So, I'm pretty sure like last time, Monokuma has opened up part of the city for us to explore. If not, then call me an idiot."

"Can I call you an idiot anyways?" Enima asked him with a smirk plastered on her face.

The parkourist blinked at her for a few seconds before turning away. "Alright, and away we go!" He jumped off the table, leaving the building.

I stood up, looking back at the two girls. "Come on, let's go…" I smiled at the two before leaving.

"They are still sad?" Historia asked as she approached me. "Well, hopefully they get over it soon."

I shook my head at her. "Hey, at least show some compassion, alright?" I looked around outside. I hadn't been out since yesterday, but yeah. The city looked pretty much the same as it did a few days ago. Like nothing happened. "Give them some time. They lost someone close to-"

"Close to them?" The historian repeated. "Please, a little over a week isn't losing someone close to you. Try losing someone more important, and then we'll talk." Then she walked away, clearly mad with me.

What was that all about…?

"Something has her angry." Jack noted, his hands in his pockets. "Don't worry, I'll accompany you throughout the city."

I shook my head. "I don't need any assistance…"

"Nonsense…!" He was being very persistent.

"What happened to your group?" I asked, a small smirk appearing on my face.

Jack glanced away, crossing his arm. His finger was tapping his arm. "They went on without me."

Such a sad story.

"Hey, I can join too. Let's be a trio." Enima got between us, putting her arm on both of our shoulders, although it was a little harder to do for Jack.

The critic looked at her, a little annoyed. "Very well, if we must, you can accompany us."

Soon, the three of us made it to the new gate that had opened up.

"Well, what are we waiting for?" Enima asked as she made her way into the new portion of the city.

The first thing I noticed was that this part of the city led directly to the backside of the hotel that we could see from our rooms. So it was nice that we could see this place for ourselves now. The first place we saw that was of interest appeared to be a large building. It had some fitness name on it.

"This must be a gym." Enima noted as she headed inside.

Once inside, we arrived at a lobby entrance of sorts. There was a reception desk of sorts where you could probably get some memberships… If this place wasn't deserted. "I bet some people have already stopped by here." I said as I headed into the actual gym area. There wasn't any need to use the changing rooms, since we were only going to check the place.

There were two sections to this gym, the workout area, which we found Caren in.

"Oh, do you work out?" I tilted my head slightly.

She looked at me. "Oh, yeah, I try to do so in my spare time." She glanced away. "Not enough to actually build up muscle. It's just to keep myself in shape." She was able to lift up a small weight rather effortly. I smiled warmly at her. "We should do some training together one day."

"I would like to joi-" Jack started to say.

"Sorry, girls only!" Enima cut him off.

Ouch, get rejected. "We still have DnD…"

The critic kicked the ground slightly. "DnD doesn't keep one in shape…" He mumbled.

Don't sound so dejected… I thought to myself.

Enima walked over, grabbing one of the weights. "The girls in our group are really fit, seemingly."

"Yeah, except maybe Historia." Caren commented. Don't let her hear you say that. "We should organize a day out with all the girls?"

Jack was off on the sideline, admiring a poster. "Yes, what a nice poster." He really doesn't like being excluded, huh?

I looked around even more at all the other equipment offered, there were some treadmills. I know I sleep a lot, but having a gym to go to would probably make me get up early. "Hey, want to start an early morning exercise?"

Enima looked over at me. "You know, you really don't seem like the type who would like to exercise."

I took a step back. "Hey, keeping in shape is important." I looked over at a set of doors. "What's beyond there?" I pointed over there.

Caren looked over at them. "Oh, that's like a gym, like one you'd find in a highschool. Basketball nets and stuff."

Oh, that's really nice, actually. "Well, I'll be sure to go check it out." I turned to look at my two companions. "What about you two?"

Jack rubbed the back of his head, feeling kinda left out as the only guy. "Y-yeah, I guess I'll join too. Perchance a friend of mine is already there."

"I doubt it." Caren told him.

"Nn…" He went through the doors to the gym.

I shook my head, a small smile on my face. I waved at her. "Well, see you later." I walked through the doors with Enima right behind me.

Inside the gym, I would see Lily doing some cheerleading practice alone. She was wearing a cheerleading outfit.

"Huh…" I walked over to her. "Where did you…"

She stopped raising her arms in the air, but she was still hoping around. "Oh, the changing room! We all got ourselves a locker with stuff."

Enima walked over to her, inspecting her. "Don't you think this outfit is a little too tight?" She poked her stomach, where her skin was exposed.

This got a little giggle from her. "Maybe."

"Are you ticklish?" The mysterious girl asked her.

The florist stopped jumping around when that was asked, before running away. "You'll never find out!" She yelled out.

"I'm faster than you!" She called out.

I shook my head before turning to look at Jack. "I'm going to check out the changing rooms if you want to check yours."

The critic nodded. "Yes, checking every room would be an effective use of our time. Unlike…" He looked over at the two girls. "Whatever those two are doing…"

We parted ways and I headed into the girl's changing room. Honestly, it was rather normal. There were various lockers in the room, probably because this used to be a city, so there were many people. But they were all unnamed. Well, all except for seven… The names for me, Caren, Daniella, Enima, Historia, Lily, and Serena were there. "That's odd…" I mumbled to myself. Bella was missing. But then again, the mastermind probably removed her after she died. Besides that, there seemed to be a lot of dust in this room. Monokuma should really clean up more… I coughed a few times before I left.

I waited outside for around a minute or two before Jack came out of the guys changing room. "Anything to note?" I asked him.

He looked down at me before smirking and crossing his arms. "I find it interesting, there were only the names of five guys there."

"Let me guess, Josef, Marcus, and Volvo were all missing?" I asked him.

He seemed somewhat dejected that I had already figured it out. "Yes, exactly." He leaned against the door. "Which I find odd, but then again, what's stopping Monokuma from visiting these places and removing name tags."

I also leaned on the wall, watching the two girls run around. "Hopefully no more names have to be removed…"

"I share that sentiment. Now…" He kicked himself away from the wall. "We should go and see what else can be found around this place. I'm sure we are bound to find some other interesting things."

I walked away with him before stopping and looking up at something. The ceiling of this gym had a line running down the center. It was probably one that could open up when needed. I don't know what purpose it served, but maybe it was to help change the terrain of the gym. I walked by the two girls before grabbing Enima by her shirt collar. "We are leaving."

Surprisingly, she just let me drag her away.

"So, anywhere of interest?" Enima finally said once we left the gym and she was walking on her own.

"We'll find out when we see a place of interest. We weren't exactly provided with a map, now were we?" He sent her a glance.

"Alright, don't have to be rude about it." She smirked at him, which prompted him to roll his eyes.

I miss Historia. I wonder where she wandered off to.

After a little bit more walking, we finally arrived at a rather nice looking building. Probably the largest building that was only two stories tall. "What's this?" I mumbled to myself.

"Well, if you can read, it's the City of Corruption's Historical Museum…" He paused for a few seconds. "City of Corruption?" He repeated, looking at the sign with more attention. "It seems to be a different font… But still strikingly similar."

I blinked a few times. "But they look the same."

He shook his head, grinning at himself. "Someone tried to replicate the font, but I can easily tell a fake from the real deal. What kind of critic would I be otherwise." He smirked to himself. Alright, how confident can one man get?

"Well, are we going to head inside, or?" Enima started to step into the building.

Right, we probably should… but… "City of Corruption…?" I hummed to myself.

"This is definitely interesting…" His expression darkened. "The sooner we find the fate of this city, the sooner we can know what we are dealing with. What force are we even dealing with? You've seen the wall on the outskirts, I presume?" He tilted his head upwards, looking down at me.

"Of course…" Although I never really commented on them, or took note of them.

"Well, I doubt just one person could have done that…" He smirked to himself.

Well, maybe not one person… but… "T-two people-?" I started to ask.

Jack shook his head. "I'm saying this is a force we can't deal with on our own. Not just a few people who formed a group or anything like that. This was built by the military…" He adjusted his glasses.

I blinked a few times. "The military!?" Maybe it was a little too loud.

"Keep your voice down." He warned me. "There's a lot of people in this group I still wouldn't trust as far as I could throw them. Who knows when one of them could consider murder as an appropriate response to all of this."

I hunched my head down. "S-sorry…"'

Jack looked around for a few seconds before continuing. "Those walls aren't meant to keep anything out. They're meant to keep people in."

"Are you saying the military wants to keep us in?" I asked in a hushed voice.

He shook his head, a frown forming on his face. "It was probably established to keep something else in. We just got caught up in all of this. Whether it be directly after the fact, or several years down the line…"

Several years down the line… "Five years…"

"What?" He looked down at me.

Oh right, supposed to keep that between Historia and I. "Hypothetically, if this all happened five years ago…"

He scratched his nose, pondering all of this. "Yes, five years could be a possibility, but there's no way to know for sur-"

"Hey!" Enima yelled out from the top of the stairs. "Are you two idiots coming or not?"

"Coming!" I yelled out as I ran up the stairs. So, a museum, huh? If I knew Historia, she would be a place like this.

The lobby of the place was grande, as you would expect one to be. And even had a T-Rex in the center of the place. How more typical can you get?

Jack stopped in front of it. "It sucks that these things are never real…"

"W-what?" I glanced back at it. "You mean it's fake?"

He nodded his head. "Of course. The real bones are much too valuable to just showcase like that, so they keep them in the back for storage."

Well, that's a pretty disappointing thing to find out. "Aww, now it's even more boring."

Enima looked up at the display. "Even if they are fake, it's still fun to look at. Let's see what other fake things this place has." She said with a grin before heading off.

"I don't understand that girl." Jack shook his head. I'm pretty sure none of us do. "Well, let's split up and look around."

He left me standing all alone by the fakeness in front of me. "Welp!" I lifted up a finger. "Time to go find more fake things!" I said like Enima did before walking away.

The museum was rather expansive, so it was hard to find a place to actually start. Somehow, I found myself stumbling upon a section about various wars. Not my cup of tea, but whatever, I'm already here. And plus, maybe one of them could be how this place was a battlefield a long time ago, and we might actually get a name drop. "War of 1812…" I mumbled to myself as I read across some stuff. I covered my mouth slightly. "True… if we were one of the northern states, then the war of 1812 would have had to be fought here."

"Great deduction." Robin said, now standing besides me.

I nearly jumped. "O-oh! Robin."

He nodded his head. "The war of 1812, I quite liked that one."

"We won that one, right?" I asked him with a smile.

He sighed, rubbing the back of his head. "Not exactly, we attacked to expand our territory, and seeing how that didn't happen, it's safe to say Brittain won that one. Although, it still technically ended in a stalemate…"

"I guess as a tactician, you'd like to read up on wars, huh." I asked him.

"Yup, as a tactician, I would probably be in charge of an army of my own one day." He looked back at the map, taking a few steps closer. "Seems someone messed up the map."

"Dammit, I was hoping to at least have a clue of where we were."

"Isn't the war already a big hint, though? Like you said, it means we are probably one of the Northern states…" He hummed in thought. "Probably Michigan, or New York. Pretty much any state on the East coast, if it'd say." That does actually narrow it down… "Either way, I don't know all, I haven't gotten time to research every war. I will admit the war of 1812 is one I know less about. Someone like Historia would probably be way better at telling you stuff. I saw her walking around. Seemingly this is her Ultimate Lab."

I blinked a few times before shouting out. "This entire museum is her Ultimate lab?" How is that fair? Jack got, like a cafe. Then again, Marcus got an entire temple to himself… It's almost like it just so happened that the city lined up with our talents. "Well, I'll go looking for her." I waved him off before heading on my way.

This museum was massive, or well. All museums are massive, but still. I didn't know what section I had wandered off into, seems to be a section about historical figures. And speaking of historical figures, Historia herself was standing there. "There you are! Hope you aren't still mad at me." I told her, approaching her.

She was just scanning the portraits of the people, reading the description under it. She didn't seem to have noticed me walking up to her.

"Huh… Historia!" I called out.

She blinked a few times before looking over at me. "I'm reading."

"Yes, I can clearly see that, but shouldn't you already know all this stuff." I smirked at her.

She looked back at the portraits. "Well, yes, but I like reading stuff like this. Been a while since I went to a museum. Or…" She clutched her head. "Memory wise, it's only been a few months, but I feel like we have a lot of years missing."

"If we forgot a bunch of years of our life, wouldn't that make us all amnesiacs, and not just Robin?" I asked with a humorous tone.

She pondered this for a few seconds before shrugging. "I guess so."

The atmosphere felt rather awkward. A few seconds later I let out a sigh. "I'm sorry for earlier… I don't know what I said, but it caused you to storm off…"

"We were talking about losing someone you care about…" Historia frowned, looking abstently at a portrait. I knew that she wasn't focused on it, and her vision had probably blurred.

"Who did you lose…?" I finally asked.

She bit her bottom lip lightly. "I lost my father about a year ago…" She admitted. "Which, sure, some people could get over in about a year… But the problem with me is that I pushed him away until it was too late. Until I could only see him for a couple more weeks."

I frowned slightly, glancing away. I knew it was going to be a sad story, but still, I didn't know how to handle it. "What did you do to push him away exactly?"

"Well…" She trailed off. "Him and my mom used to be meant for each other, always had each other's side, but one day, they started arguing and getting in fights. It eventually boiled down to a divorce. My mom won custody. I was too young to know she had lied her way to get me." She paused briefly.

Once again, I didn't really know what to say about that, so I just let her keep talking.

"Told me my father was the… scum of the earth." She said with a cynical smile. Then, she shook her head. "Anyways! That's enough talking from me!" Dammit, I was so close to finding out. I'll have to ask her later. "So, find any more notes?" She asked me, putting her hand on her hip.

I shook my head with a sigh. "Nope, nothing of interest yet… Although… I think we might be in Michigan…"

She tilted her head slightly. "Oh, and what makes you say that?"

"Well, I found some stuff about the war of 1812, and Robin told me a general location of where some of the battles could have happened. And since it's mostly Eastern states, Michigan makes the most sense…"

The historian nodded. "Yes, that makes sense… It aligns with the tree theory too." First time I've heard tree theory…

"So what do we make of it now?" I asked her.

"We still don't know where exactly we are, but for now, that doesn't matter. It won't be hard to figure out a place in Michigan which we could reasonably be in." The historian started to walk away. "Well, I think we're done here…" And then, she left the room, leaving me alone.

Well, this museum wasn't going to explore itself, so I might as well keep going around.

Soon, I reached a large section full of books. They seemed to be copies of old text, printed for the public's reading pleasure.

And if there was text to be read, then was sure to be- Yup!

Jean was walking around, reading the various different texts in front of him. Then, he noticed me and looked up. "Hey." He greeted before going back to reading the books.

"Do you have to read everything you encounter?" I joked as I walked over to him.

He chuckled at that. "Hey, reading keeps me busy, got a problem with that?"

"Of course not, keeps you quiet." I joked back at him.

Jean snickered at that one. "Oh, good one." He looked back at the books, his expression turning more serious. "Just reading to forget."

"Pretty sure there's already drinking alcohol to forget. I'm sure no adults would stop us from drinking, anyways." I told him.

He pondered this for a second before shaking his head. "I don't think we found any stores that sell alcohol anyways."

I glanced over at the books he was reading. "A lot of words, I'd get bored after a bit. My only strong suit is math, and maybe gym…" I mumbled. Seriously… I needed to go workout at the gym, I miss doing that. I feel like I'm out of shape now…

"Oh? You were good at gym class?" He eyed me for a few seconds before looking away. "Yeah, I guess it kinda shows."

I blushed slightly. "W-what does that mean?" Did he just mean my body is attractive… or…?

He waved me off with a cheeky smile. "Who knows what I mean, but shouldn't you go check out other places? This museum is pretty big, after all."

I rubbed the back of my head. "No, I think I'm done here for the day. There's a few more buildings I want to go check out."

Jean shrugged. "Have fun, and if you ever want to keep working out, there's a gym nearby." He pointed towards a window down a hallway. "In fact, you can see the gym from over here."

I walked over to the window he pointed to, and yeah, I could. We were a little above it, probably because this was a two story building, but it was really neat. I turned back to look at Jean. "Well, I'm going head off now. It was nice talking to you." I started heading down the stairs that were nearby. As I was walking away, my cheeks flared up. Why was I blushing, he totally didn't mean that! Right? I mean… he was kinda cut-

"Boy problems?" A voice called out, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"H-huh?!" I looked around, eventually spotting Enima.

She laughed at me. "Oh finally, you noticed, I thought I would have had to snap my fingers." She snapped her fingers to make a point.

I shook my head, running my hand through my hair. "Let's meet up with Jack…"

"Actually, I think he's engrossed with everything in this museum…" She rolled her eyes. "So, let's head out."

We walked around for a bit before we reached a rather tall building. It didn't seem like a different building than the others. It for sure wasn't an apartment building. For one, there were no windows at all on this building. And the entrance seemed to have a small dojo feel to it. I looked over at Enima. "Let's head in." I walked inside.

The first thing that happened upon me walking in was a body falling down right in front of me, I let out a loud scream, taking a step back.

"Oww…" Serena mumbled as she slowly stood up, rubbing her head. "I thought you said you'd catch me." She seemed kinda miffed.

I looked up to see Stephan sitting up rather high up, like several stories up. "Well, you weren't too far up, so the fall wouldn't be that bad."

I looked around this entire place. This entire thing was a parkourist dream. It was like an obstacle course to the top. "Is this… yours?" I was amazed. I could see all the way at the top, and it looked like there was a room up there.

"I'm worried about the structural integrity of this building." Enima pointed out, pushing her hand against the walls, which didn't move.

"That's what I said, but these four pillars…" The huntress pointed towards four pillars that were near the center. "Apparently they keep the building stable enough."

"Besides, only one person should be trying this at once." Stephan said before he dropped down the floor. "You're all free to try it, but none of you will succeed."

I pointed up. "Enima already started."

He quickly whipped his head to her. "Wait what?"

The mysterious girl had made it several feet off the ground, trying her best to stay on. "See, this is pretty easy."

Stephan took out his metal hook thing and threw it up on one of the platforms, pulling himself up.

"Hey, that's cheating!" Enima yelled out, almost falling off because of it.

The parkourist stuck his tongue out. "It's not cheating, it's called a checkpoint."

I rubbed the back of my head, turning to Serena. "I thought you'd be good at something like this."

She was fixing her clothes before she answered. "Everyone thinks I'll be good at stuff. I'm nothing but a huntress, I don't deal with plants, and I don't deal with parkourist's dreams." She looked up at the two of them. "Sometimes, I swear he isn't human."

"Maybe he's a robot…?" I suggested.

Serena gave me a blank expression. "If someone here is a robot, I'm offing myself."

Don't have to be so dramatic. I looked up their progress, and saw that Enima was still doing pretty good. "Does it get harder the more you go up?" I asked her.

She nodded. "Of course, if it didn't, I wouldn't have fallen."

We heard screaming as Enima started falling, but she was quickly caught by Stephan. "And that's why you should always be cautious." He warned her with a smile on his face.

"Drop me." She deadpanned.

"OK!" His smile grew wider as he let go of her, letting her fall down the last several feet.

She didn't make any pain sounds when she landed. Instead, she just laid there, not moving.

"I think she's dead." Serena deadpanned.

Enima gave her a thumbs up.

"Nope, still alive." The huntress mumbled.

Stephan dropped down onto the floor. "Alright, Riley, your turn!"

I quickly looked at him, shaking my head. "You already know I'm worse than Enima, so I'm not going to be good at this."

The parkourist blinked a few times, shaking his head. "Nope, I won't accept that answer!"

There's no way I'm getting out of this. Why does he keep doing this!? Let me just live my life, dammit! "A-alright…" I agreed.

Well, it wasn't too bad at the start, the first several jumps were all easy, and most people could handle it, but it quickly got out of hand. Thankfully, my ability would kick in, and I could time my jumps better, but it didn't help too much.

It was no shock that I eventually fucked up and started falling. I was stopped when Stephan's hook wrapped around my body and stopped my fall.

"See, everyone is fine!" He said with a smile. Sometimes, I swore he was just doing this to scare us…

"Can we stop now…" I mumbled.

He frowned slightly, a little bit of guilt on his face. "Yeah… sorry about that…" He brought me down to the ground ."Just don't find too many people who are willing to try it."

Enima walked over to us. "Well, I can't help but notice that it's always girls you try and get to do this."

"Anyways!" He quickly stood up, turning back to the start of the course. "I'm going to be hanging out at the top!" And then he sped through the course.

Serena rubbed her head. "I'm going to head back to the hotel…" She mumbled to herself.

I watched her walk off before turning to look at Enima. "Shall… we keep going…?" I asked her.

She shook her head. "That's about it for me too, I don't really care about any other places we find." And then she walked off. Wow, what happened to my nice little group. "Now I'm alone…" I mumbled to myself.

Well, there were still some people I still hadn't run into, so maybe I should go see if there's anything else to note.

I walked around for a bit when finally, I stumbled upon a very important looking building. In fact, it looked like a mayor's office if anything. Oh, right. Whoever wrote the journal made brief mention of a mayor… This is probably a place of interest.

When I entered the building, all I heard were two voices.

"I refuse." A girl said in a cold tone.

"Well, there has to be useful info in that." A male voice called out.

When I reached the mayor's room, I saw Daniella and Cameron.

Daniella was sitting down in the mayor's chair. She glanced over when she saw me, placing down a book. "Oh, hello Riley. Welcome to my office." She wished she was mayor. "The mayor is currently out at the moment, so I'll be taking messages for them."

I think this was an attempt at a joke, but Daniella wasn't the funniest, so it kinda fell flat. But I wasn't going to tell her that, and instead, play along. "Yes, I have come to ask a question. But asking you instead of the mayor will be enough." I pointed to the book she was holding. "What's that?" She must have been arguing about something with Cameron, right?

The secretary placed the book down, sliding it away from herself. "I'm sorry, but that book is reserved for the mayor themselves, even I'm not allowed to read it."

"But you just-" Cameron started to say before being cut off.

Daniella tilted her head slightly. "Is that all the business you have with the Mayor's Office today?"

Were we just role playing right now? That's what it felt like. But it wasn't that hard since we've been playing DnD a decent amount. "Yes, I do have a question. When will the mayor return?"

The secretary shook her head with a small smirk on her face. "The mayor is currently on vacation, that will go on for an undetermined amount of time."

Cameron rubbed the back of his head. "Hey, this isn't DnD right now. We can stop the roleplaying." Weird for him to say that, since I felt like he was constantly roleplaying.

Daniella let out a sad sigh. "I just wanted to feel what it was like to work again." She placed the book in a drawer, locking the door. "Anyways, have you found anything worthwhile?"

I hummed, thinking before smiling. "I found a gym!"

She looked at me like that wasn't very interesting. "Is that all?"

Ouch, I was excited about that… don't have to hurt my feelings. "There was also a museum, if you are interested in that kind of stuff." I know I'm not really.

"Oh?" A small smile formed on her face. "A museum you say? Splendid, I'll have to check that out myself."

Cameron nodded. "Yeah, a museum would be a nice place to go, after all."

"I checked it out, none of the exhibits really interested me. Then again, I wasn't exactly good at history." Historia would be disappointed in me, big time!

Daniella pushed the chair she was sitting on into the desk. She spun the key around with her finger before putting it away in her pockets. "Well, I say that's all that's of interest today. Shall we call it a day and head back to the lobby?" She started to walk away.

I nodded. "Yeah, there wasn't going to much else to do anyways, so might as well head out." I turned to look at Cameron once she had left. "What was with the book."

He simply shrugged. "I don't know, she wouldn't let me look at it, saying there was some important information on it."

I let out a small laugh. "Probably just her playing a character." Probably… I turned towards the entrance. "Well, let's go join up with everyone else."

The walk back to the hotel wasn't too long, since we could cut in between alleyways, now that that was open. The city was nice and compact so it made it easier.

Everyone was already in the dining hall when I got there. I guess it was already lunch, huh? I got myself some food and sat down at a table alone.

Well, it was alone until Lily and Caren sat down at the table with me.

"Tomorrow! You me, Caren!" Lily yelled out. "The gym!"

I looked at her for a few seconds, a small smile forming on my face. "You could have just said you wanted to go workout at the gym." I glanced off to the side. "Why do you want to go to the gym?"

"Please, I used to be a cheerleader, I had to keep myself in shape somehow." The florist crossed her arms with a confident smirk. That would explain what she was doing yesterday.

"Yeah, I should be able to do that." I glanced off to the side. Hopefully this doesn't become a problem with the DnD games. Then again, Cameron normally likes doing them at night where we can hang out and have snacks.

"Yay!" Lily cheered happily. "You'll have to wake up early." She teased me. I did not like the sound of that...

Caren laughed a little. "It will only be at eight." Fuck.

"How about ni-" I started to say before being cut off by the babysitter.

"Eight is the perfect time, it's going to be nice to get into an early morning routine." She told me.

The florist nodded. "Yeah, we think you sleep way too much nowadays."

But sleep is great… I let out an annoyed sigh. "Fine, but one of you will have to wake me up."

"OH!" Lily said with excitement. "I have a solution to that! I'll just sleep with yo-"

Caren covered her mouth. "Yes, I will wake you up." She sent a glance over to the florist. "As the only responsible one here…"

I let out a small laugh. "Anyways, I'm going to go back to eating, now."

The two got the hint and left me.

The rest of the day was rather uneventful, and I went to bed rather earlier. Especially if I had to be up early in the morning. God, that was going to suck, but whatever…

.

Before I knew it, there was knocking at my door. My eyes drifted towards the clock in my room. It was a little past eight, so I guess it was time to get up. I let out a small yawn, stepping out of bed.

We met up downstairs for some breakfast.

"Honestly, it's been a while since I've had this large of a breakfast…" I said, taking a bit out of some eggs. I looked at the other two. "What about you two?"

"Well, I normally always had big breakfasts." Caren said, taking a bit out of her food. "N-not that my family was rich to keep affording them, but I made breakfasts for my siblings all the time."

"H-how many siblings do you have?" I asked, fearing the answer.

She tilted her head to the side. "Huh… about five, why?"

"Five?!" I quickly asked. "I have none, come on! Share!" I always wanted a brother or something, but of course I was an only child.

The babysitter giggled. "And I always wanted more. Probably why I went around babysitting. My house was practically like a daycare at that point. Probably why my Ultimate Lab is a daycare."

Sounds more like it was just repurposed… "I'll have to meet your siblings one day."

"Yeah…" She said in a slightly sad tone. "I really miss them…"

I frowned slightly. Maybe this was the wrong thing to talk about...

Lily gave her a hug. "Oh, cheer up! You can't be depressed when we go to the gym!"

"Heading to the gym, now are we?" Jean sat down, obviously uninvited. "Wouldn't mind if I tag along?"

"You're just gonna stare at us." I pointed out.

Jean raised his hands in defense, annoyed at the accusation. "Look, I'm not-"

"I wouldn't mind if you stared at us." The florist said.

The librarian had a dumbfounded look on his face.

Caren shook her head. "Just ignore her, she's always lost in her fantasies."

I glanced at him. "I mean, I don't see why you can't, but… You don't exactly seem like the working out type."

"Hey, I still have some muscles, even if I mostly read." He tried to defend himself.

I looked at his body. "I highly doubt that." I think I shattered his ego a little bit. I simply stuck my tongue out at him.

Was this considered flirting? I hope not. That's not what I'm trying to do here…

Jean rolled his eyes. "You guys aren't being very specific on your answer, can I join or?"

Well, I didn't really have any reasons to not let him join, except for the fact that this was a girl only group without him. But still, these three seemed to be the ones that were hurt the most by Bella's death. "Yeah, sure."

"Yay!" Lily cheered, while Caren didn't seem too thrilled, but if this was a vote, we would win either way. Not like her vote would be worth more than ours.

We soon finished breakfast and headed off towards the gym. We split ways when we reached the changing room.

While we were changing, I glanced over at Lily, who was looking at the cheerleading outfit. "Shouldn't you wear something better than that? I'm sure there's other gym clothes here."

She nodded. "There is, but I still like this better." She quickly changed to wear it. "It seems… nostalgic." She locked her locker, frowning slightly when she saw a missing spot. "Seriously… why did Josef choose her…?"

"Because he's nothing but an asshole." Caren said coldly, having already changed. "Fuck people like that, who could do such a thing to a child."

I looked at the ground, frowning slightly. Just thinking of it got me all depressed. He said people don't change huh… or something like that. I was a little too angry to hear his full message… "Well, staying in the changing room sulking won't do us much good." I turned around towards the exit. "Jean's probably waiting for us there." I left the room, the two following me shortly after.

And like I predicted, Jean was leaning against the wall, his hand in his pockets. Now that he was wearing a T-shirt, I did see some faint muscles. Not like they were too remarkable. I glanced away. "So, what equipment are we using first?"

"Wouldn't starting out with something simple like the treadmill be best? Just to get warmed up?" The librarian asked.

Caren had a small smile. "Maybe just some stretches before we even get into that too."

He seemed slightly disappointed, but he quickly started stretching. "Alright, if you say so."

The four of us did some stretches for the first five minutes before we all started using the equipment. Out of all of us, Caren was definitely the most fit. I didn't actually think she seriously did stuff like this. She was using some of the equipment, and I turned to look at her. "When do you even have time to do this?" I eventually brought up.

She let out a small laugh. "Oh, are you saying because I'm almost watching someone's kid, or my own siblings?"

I nodded my head. "Wouldn't it be difficult to set time aside for that? What about studying, or just school in general?" I could barely keep up with studying, and I had no siblings.

She shook her head, a little amused. "Well, I have some days where my parents were home to watch them, which I used to go to the gym and stuff." She lifted up one of the weights, struggling slightly. "I want to be a strong mom, both emotionally, and physically."

I looked at her for a few seconds before glancing down. I don't know what I want to be. "Find any guys yet?"

She blushed slightly. "Well, I may want to be a mom someday, but I'm still too young for that at the moment."

I guess so. "Well, keep doing what you are doing, I can tell you'll be a great mom." I moved away to do some more training of my own.

Time really slipped by, and it was already ten in no time.

Jean wiped sweat from his forehead. "God, this is much harder than I thought it would be…"

I let out a small laugh. "What's with all that confidence earlier? And what was that about muscles?" I said with confidence, but honestly, I was ready to keel over dead.

"Pft, don't act so tough yourself." He said with a grin on his face. Seems like he saw right through me. Am I that obvious?

Lily bounced her way over to us. "That was great work, you two!" She barely seemed tired. Did she even exercise?

"Lily…" I mumbled, a gleam in my eyes. "What exactly did you do?" She better have done some form of training.

She quickly pointed to some equipment in the corner of the room. "I was pretty much there the entire time. I was also doing some acrobatics!" I couldn't tell if she would also double up as the Ultimate Cheerleader, but whatever.

"Well, I'm beat. I say we head back to the hotel and get some more food." I told the others.

Caren walked up to our group. She didn't seem too tired, and like she could keep going. "Yeah, we should head back. We can do this another time."

Yeah, please, I need some food. And maybe a nap. I quickly shook my head. Nope! No nap! Instead, I look around for more clues to our whereabouts.

Jean scratched his head. "I'll probably just be relaxing in my room after this."

"Reading, typical." I stuck my tongue out at him.

He rolled his eyes as he went to the changing room. "See you all later!" He waved off as he left.

I held back a small laugh as I went to change back into my regular clothes.

.

It was now after lunch, and I decided it was best to go exploring again. There was one place I didn't really get a thorough exploration at, so I decided I should probably head there first.

That place in question was the Mayor's Office. Which I think was Daniella's Ultimate Lab. It would make sense because of her talent. Upon further inspection of the place, I noticed something on the outside. "Black markings…" Like soot… "Interesting…" It wouldn't be the first time I saw something slightly burnt. Did a fire happen here? But for it to still be in good condition. It's almost like it was rebuilt after a while. The markings on the wall seemed to be in a shape of an X, whatever that meant.

The inside of the building had several bookshelves lining the place. Guess they were probably full of old documents. I took one out at random and started reading it. It was dated 2023. Which was almost a decade ago. Not being one to read such boring things, I quickly placed it back.

I rubbed my head slightly. "God, of course Daniella would get the boring building." Not that it was boring, it just wasn't my cup of tea, honestly. I walked over to the main desk, sitting down at it. I remembered Daniella having put something away, but it seemed to require a key, so I wasn't going to bother. She tends to be really good at finding those. Then again, she must have realized it was locked and went looking for a key.

"What are you doing?" A voice called out, which made me jump slightly. I looked up and noticed Daniella walking towards me.

"H-huh… nothing!" I quickly said, standing up from the chair.

She looked at me for a few seconds before a smirk appeared on her face. "You don't have to hide anything from me. I can tell you were trying to get the book." She sat down on the desk. "I'm keeping it there for good reason." She told me, with a small tilt of the head. "It's best not to have a certain person read it, if you catch my drift."

I did not. "Y-yeah, I understand." I don't know why I said that. I would love to get a better explanation, but whatever.

"Cameron tried to get a read too. But you know how talkative he can be, so I found it best not to show him." The secretary continued on.

I looked at her, a small frown forming on her face. "Are you not going to let anyone read it?"

A smile formed on her face. "Not true." She took out the key, swinging it around a bit. "Alright, let's say I were to ever die. You could come to my room and get my key. How about that?"

I had a deadpanned look on her face. "You just think you're gonna live till the end, aren't you?"

Daniella quickly put her key away, glancing off to the side. "Who's to say?"

I narrowed my eyes slightly. "And what if I were to die first?"

She still had a smile on her face. "Then you simply wouldn't get to read it. Not like you'd be likely to die over other people." She hopped off the table. "But in the event that you did…" She tilted her head slightly, looking back at me. "I'd probably keep the key with me, till I too perished."

That sounds kinda morbid. I shook my head. "You keep saying that, but I don't think you'll actually die. You're too…" I closed one of my eyes, trying to think of how to continue that sentence. "You'd probably end up killing whoever tried to kill you."

Daniella gasped lightly. "Why would I kill them? I would simply immobilize them. I am in no hurry to get out of this place, after all."

"You mean you don't want to escape?" I asked her.

Now she just seemed annoyed. "Of course I don't want to stay here. But if leaving requires me to kill someone." She did a curtsy. "Then I would rather stay right where I am." She stood back up straight. "I hope you can understand."

I blinked a few times. "It's like you only live to serve…" I mumbled.

"Exactly, I only wish to do the best job for the person I'm working for." She told me.

I shook my head. "But that's no way to live." But I'm not one to talk, I just go along with whatever anyone says. "I don't think I've seen you once break emotion." Alright, maybe that one time when Cameron threw a rock at the greenhouse, but that was it.

"Is there a problem with that?" She kept her smile, but I could tell it was kind of a sad one.

"W-well, not exactly, but maybe showing more emotion would help people better understand you. You don't seem to get along with many people." Despite being part of the nerd gang.

"Nonsense, I think I get along with people." She said with confidence in her voice.

Well, if I'm being honest. I shook my head. "Like I said, only Cameron seems to try and get along with you, and you push him away. Which…" I mean, he could probably calm down his hormones a little bit. "Is understandable… but still…"

Daniella frowned slightly. Obviously she wasn't used to this much criticism. "What about you?"

I blinked a few times. "Huh?"

She held a random book against her chest. "I don't think I should be taking advice from someone who just lets people walk all over her . I see how you've acted, letting other people drag you into messes. Sure, you might resist at first, but from what I've seen, you always just back down and let people do whatever."

The audacity of this bi- I mean… it was right, but still… It hurt. "I-Is there a problem with that?"

Daniella had a small smirk on her face, placing the book down. "Nope, none at all. But please consider your own situation before trying to help others." And then she walked away.

What the hell was her problem…? Well, that took me out of whatever investigating I was going to do. Might as well leave now… I guess…

.

Before I knew it, it was evening time. I was sitting alone in the dining hall, eating. When of course, someone came to disturb my silence.

"Hey, Riley!" It was Cameron, which could only mean one thing.

"Oh, are we doing it tonight?"

He nodded quickly. "Gives us something to distract ourselves with. We can't just keep moping around, right? Besides, you seemed lonely, and the others were already asking. We'll be at the cafe."

I watched him walk off, and decided I might as well go. Didn't want to miss a session after all.

It was a five minute walk, but soon, I made it to Jack's Ultimate Lab. Which now that I think about it, it did indeed have a semi cafe vibe to it.

Speaking of which, Jack was making himself some coffee at the moment. He glanced up, looking at me. A small smirk appeared on his face. "Ah, so you've decided to join us again."

"Yeah… Why wouldn't I? I'm already deep into this." I told him.

He took a sip from his cup, but his eyes kept looking at me. "I was under the impression that you didn't like this stuff."

"I mean… well, I don't really like it, but I don't want to abandon the game." Which was pretty much the truth.

"You are still a novice, and to be thrusted into a game with players like us isn't exactly a reassuring thought. We are leagues above you, after all." He closed his eyes with a confident grin.

Alright, I know it's true, but you don't have to rub it in. "Well, I'm just going to follow what the others do."

He sent a glance my way. "Then follow what I do. I swear I can lead you to victory."

"I-I'm sure the others can also do that, so I can follow them too." I reassured him. "You don't have to bear the weight of guiding me. Besides, I think I'm just going to ask Jean for help, since we've been getting along nicely as of late."

Jack shook his head. "Well, that is an option, his character is also Chaotic Good. You'd be better off following someone like me or Daniella, who are lawfully good. You are less likely to get into any trouble in the game."

Ah, yes… I didn't quite understand the character alignment thing, so I made my character Neutral Good. It felt fitting. "Well, wasn't Daniella Lawful Neutral?" I asked.

He tapped his arm with his fingers for a few seconds before looking down at me. "Well, yes, but still much better than Chaotic Good, or True Neutral." Right, Robin was True Neutral.

I let out a small laugh. "Actually, I might just end up following Cameron, since he also seems to know what he's doing."

The critic seemed a little miffed by that, but he shook his head. "Very well, I hope that decision leads you to victory too." He walked over to the back room, with his cup of coffee in hand.

But we're all on the same side, shouldn't victory be for all of us?

I quickly joined up with the others.

When Cameron saw me walk in, his eyes light up. "Alright, we're all here." He leaned back in his chair slightly, ready for this session. "Welcome back everyone. I know it's been several days since our last session because of unforeseen events."The room went quiet for a few seconds before he let out a small sad sigh. "I'll try to make these more common, if that's fine with everyone. Time here is limited, after all." He clenched his fist. "Alright, may the dice deities work for us today!" He opened up his book, to start reading off of it. "Last time, we all decided to head towards the West of the map to start our assault on the two opposing armies. Since they destroyed our town, and none of us sided with them." He glanced around before going back to reading. "Something had to be done. After a day of traveling, we finally reached a nearby base. Everyone ready?"

I nodded. "Yeah, As ready as I'll ever be."

"Alright, we're here now…" Robin mumbled, moving his character closer to the base. "Alright, what's the plan right now?"

"Of course, stealth is probably the best option. Brute force won't get us anywhere." Jean added in, leaning back in his seat.

Jack and Daniella pondered this for a few seconds before nodding. "Yes, quite." The secretary smiled. "Looking over at how this place is layered, there might be an optimal place of entry." She pointed over to some trees from a forest. "We could climb up those and make our way into the camp."

Jack nodded his head. "Brilliant, might I add." He had his character start moving over there. "Alright, everyone, follow my lead."

All of our characters followed him towards the closest tree lines to them. "The guards don't seem to be present right now." Jean noted, seeing that there weren't any pieces yet. He looked up at Cameron, thinking he would put down some pieces just to get at him. But he didn't. "Perfect." He mumbled to himself.

The dungeon master nodded. "Yup, you don't see anyone. It's kinda odd."

Robin hummed in thought. "This kinda seems like a trap."

Daniella shook her head. "I can climb the tree to confirm." She grabbed one of her dice, rolling her dice. "Seventeen." She said confidently.

"You climb the tree, but you don't seem to notice anything out of the ordinary. There truly was no one there." Cameron informed her.

"Then, I will jump over the wall." The secretary said, rolling another dice. It was enough to go over safely.

Jack, Robin, and even Cameron's character made it up safely.

"Your turn." Jean offered, allowing me to go first.

It seemed like a bad choice, but whatever, I'm sure it will work out. I grabbed the dice and rolled a one. "..." My face paled up slightly.

Cameron held back a small laughter. "You attempt to climb the tree, but just as you got to the top, your hand slips and you fall on Jean's character."

"Wait what-" The librarian turned to look at him.

"Roll a d4." The dungeon master laughed a little. "Both of you."

I rolled mine, and only got a 2, so that wasn't that much damage. Jean on the other hand…

"A four…?" He mumbled. "This wouldn't be devastating later on, but come on, we're only like level 4."

He dismissed that. "Anyways, want to try again, Riley?"

"I think it'd be better if I jclimb over the wall…" I mumbled, rolling again. This time it was a high enough number, so I was able to climb it with no problem. The jump over the wall was rather easy too.

Jean had no problems either, so maybe it was just a me thing.

I slowly lifted up my dice. "Are these dice cursed?"

Cameron let out another laugh. "That's what most people start to believe after a while, so you aren't the only one." He shook his head, turning his head to look at everyone. "Anyways, on top of the wall, you don't see many people. Only the occasional guard, making their way around the camp. What's the plan?"

"Let's keep going with the stealth mission." He looked around the area. "Alright, we should probably make our way to their supply tent, since we can destroy all their weapons."

Robin nodded. "Yes, that would be the best action to take. As well as killing anyone we encounter to silence them."

Jesus… These people are really serious about this. "Can't we just make them unconscious?"

Daniella nodded at me. "Yes, they might be able to realize that we are killing their enemies, so we should keep violence to a minimum."

Jean looked at her with a deadpan look. "That's not how any of that works." He turned to look at Cameron. "I roll for stealth." He rolled the dice, and while it was only an eleven, it didn't seem to matter much since he was proficient in the skill, so he still passed the check.

The problem with such a large group is that we all had to make stealth roles, which was less than desirable. But it managed to work out, and none of the enemies spotted us. Despite one of us rolling an eight.

"Must have rolled low on perception." Robin noted.

Soon, we reached the tent with all of their supplies. Jack led us there, having gotten lucky on where it was. "Here it is." He commented as we entered.

Sure enough, there were just a lot of weapons lying around.

"Perfect, we can steal some of these, and destroy whatever we can't carry." Jean said with a grin on his face.

Robin walked around before grabbing something off the wall. "How about this?"

"You grabbed what appeared to be a bag of holding." Cameron explained.

"Appeared…?" He repeated. "How odd."

The dungeon master shook his head. "Nothing odd about it." He had this neutral face on him, like he was trying to hide his emotions.

The tactician rolled his eyes before moving his character over to the table. "I start loading the bag of holding with all the firearms."

I started helping gather weapons before looking at Daniella and Jack, who seemed to be thinking. "What's the problem, guys?"

"Nothing." Jack quickly said, grabbing some swords. A small frown appeared on his face.

After a few more seconds, Robin dropped the bag, having realized something. "Isn't it odd that no one is here?"

I looked around. "Yeah… No guards…" I noted. What was going on.

He quickly moved over to the tent entrance. "I think this is a trap." He said, a little angry.

A trap? I moved over to the tent entrance. "How could this be a trap… There's no way they should have known we were coming."

Cameron moved his character over. "Exactly…" He prepared his weapon. "If this is truly a trap, then we must have people surrounding this tent." Then, he broke character to speak to us. "As my character said that, you could hear footsteps outside, many of them, before they finally stopped. You heard the sound of swords being drawn. This was indeed a trap."

I quickly drew an arrow into my bow. This was probably going to get messy.

It took about an hour of combat. They weren't that strong, but there were a lot of them to deal with. The two who got the most kills were Jean and Robin, who seemed to be rather great at the game. Daniella was more of a support character, so she didn't seem to get many kills. Cameron was probably just letting us have fun, and Jack, well I don't know. Must not be one for too much killing it seems.

"What's the plan?" I asked, looking around at the party.

Jean rubbed his neck. "Honestly, we should just cross over their border…"

"What, but then that gives power to the other sid-" Jack started to say.

The librarian snapped his fingers. "I don't give a rat's ass about the other side. Someone knew we were coming, so we should deal with that right now."

I nodded my head. "It would be bad if we faced that problem again."

Daniella frowned slightly. "Yes, that is true. But it could just be we slept too close to base, which is something we'll be cautious of next time."

Robin shook his head. "Now that I think of it, this plan to go back and forth between both armies is rather stupid. It would take so long to get them out completely. We should just stick to one side at a time."

I could feel some tension between the team and stepped in the middle. "We're already here, right? Let's just see what else we can do before heading back to the other side. We could still do the back and forth, but if we do more on one trip, we would need to do less of it." I looked around, I got a nod from Jean and Robin, but Daniella and Jack didn't seem convinced yet.

Cameron had a small smirk on his face. He closed his book, placing it down. "How about we end there for the night?" He looked around at us all. "So, how about we just spend some time talking?"

Jack crossed his arms, tapping his right arm. "Well, if the others choose so, then yes."

"I don't see why not." Robin added, leaning back slightly.

Everyone soon agreed to talk, and we spent around an hour or two just talking and eating snacks. Well, Robin didn't eat, but he was one of the more talkative ones, so I guess he didn't want to have to eat and prevent himself from speaking.

"See, it's like we're all some sort of dysfunctional family." Cameron said with a grin.

Jack leaned back, looking at the ceiling. "Some… dysfunctional family, huh? Well, I didn't see my parents much, nor did I have any siblings, so this could be nice."

"Oh, you neither?" I tilted my head over at him, a small sympathetic smile on my face. Well, my parents spent some time with me, but I didn't have siblings.

"Just like me, my parents were always busy." Daniella said with a small smile. "But that was fine, living in an environment like that at home proved beneficial."

Jean took some popcorn in his hands. "Was I the only one with a normal family?" He seemed slightly cocky. "Sure, parents might have been a little rough. But it kept me in shape grade wise." He ate the popcorn. He turned towards Robin. "And you?"

The tactician blinked a few times. "Man, if only I remembered."

Hearing that, the librarian quickly looked away.

I laughed a little before looking over at Cameron. "Alright, mister Dungeon Master. What about you? How's your family?"

He quickly glanced away. "Well, you guys don't seem to have full family and stuff, so it would make me feel bad to tell you."

"Just spit it out." Jean was now lying down on the couch, tossing one of his dice in the air to catch it. "Doesn't matter if you have a good family, or a bad family, we all still come here just to hang out."

"Well, my family has been pretty great. My parents are the reason I got into DnD in the first place." Cameron started to mouth off.

A small smirk appeared on my face. "Oh, so they're nerds like you."

It looked like I had pierced him with a sword, based on how he reacted. "Well, yeah. But most importantly of all, is my sister. She's about four years younger than me, and an angel."

Ohmygod. What's with other people having siblings and I don't. "Hey, if you ever want to geek out about siblings, there's always Caren. She has like… six." Or was it five? I don't remember.

"I guess I know what her parents do while they are bored." Daniella had a perverted smirk on her face. Or maybe it was a regular smirk, and I saw it as perverted.

Cameron shook his head in amusement. "Well, besides my sister and my parents, I don't really have much else family wise."

We talked for a bit longer before we realized how late it had gotten.

I let out a small sigh. "I think I'm going to head to sleep now."

"Ah, does the princess need her beauty sleep?" Jean commented, looking over at me.

"Yes." I commented as I stood up. Seems he hadn't planned for that answer, so he just lied there awkwardly.

The walk back was a little unnerving, but it was fine. I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.

.

When I woke up, I simply stared at the ceiling for a solid five minutes. How long had we been trapped here? Definitely over a week. Had it been two weeks yet? Man… I should have been keeping a journal. I slowly rolled myself out of bed. Well, time for another day, I guess. How many more till we get a motive, I wonder.

.

I did my usual routine, and was now sitting down eating food.

"Hey, you." A rude voice said as they approached me, which I could only guess was Historia.

I slowly looked over at her, which only confirmed my suspicion. "What do you want?"

She had her hands on her hip. "Well, I'm hoping to find another page of that journal today. If we manage to find another one, we could potentially find out what happened to his city. Last time we found something on the temple. Maybe we might get lucky and find something relevant to the newly opened up areas."

That was some wishful thinking, but I wasn't sure how it would pan out in the end. "And where do you suppose we look? This city is massive, and the odds of there being a piece of paper in the new area is very low."

"Alright there, miss probability, we won't know until we try." The historian turned towards the entrance. "So let's go."

A small sigh escaped my mouth. Guess I didn't have much choice. "And please don't call me miss probability." Even if I was good at math… and I am a Lucky Student.

The first place we stopped at was the museum. I spent a few seconds looking up at it before tilting my head towards her. "Do you just want to look at your Ultimate Lab."

"W-what?!" She quickly tried to defend herself. "No! I just want to check here first."

Yeah yeah, whatever… "Well then, let's go inside, but we aren't going to find anything worthwhile."

"Yeah, but even if we don't." She now had some confidence in her voice. "At least we can look at what this place has to offer again."

Right… We made our way inside, and it looked the same as the last time I saw it. Nothing much of interest, honestly.

Historia lifted up her finger. "Let's look on the second floor, the wind probably blew it up there or something…"

I blinked a few times. "Sounds to me like you already found it and you want it to magically appear."

She blushed deeply. "N-no!"

Bingo.

"Where is it?"

She sheepishly walked over to the stairs, making her way up there.

Soon, we arrived at the place I saw Jean. She motioned me over to a book and opened it, sure enough, it was there. "Did you find it here, or did you place it here."

"I placed it there for safe keeping." She told me.

I shook my head. "And what if Jean found it, or anyone else who likes history?"

She blushed again, looking away. "Hey… This isn't about me…"

I rolled my eyes and grabbed the note. "Let's at least see what it says…"

them but they refused to come out. And when police finally managed to get in there, they were gone. The money was gone. Sooner that night, the money turned up on the street, being given to people in need. Of course, not all the money turned up. Probably kept by them. What kind of thief wouldn't keep some money they stole? The ransom for them went up by a few thousand dollars. The mayor really wanted them captured. But… no one wanted to act. They had just gotten free money, so why would they? These people were their saviors. And some of us saw what they looked like. Who would want to turn in some kids? I know I sure wouldn't want to. They still had all their life ahead of them. The mayor wanted to jail them for a long time, and I don't think they deserved that much time. But still, they shouldn't go unpunished.

.

Day 3

.

Today was a rather quiet day. Nothing involving the kids really happened today. And everyone seemed to be talking about what happened yesterday. The bank seemed ready to collapse, and the mayor was even more frustrated. Curfews started becoming commonplace. That was the police had the right to stop anyone walking out beyond curfew. This was in hopes of stopping the kids who were doing it. Did it work? Of course not. Not like those kids would walk around in the middle of the streets at night. From what I could see, they were leagues above that. I think they used the rooftops. This place was almost perfect for that. What really worried me, however, was the fact that they were quiet to begin with. Like they were planning something big. And it didn't really sit well with

.

"This…" I mumbled. "This has to be the second page!" I realized. "The first page stops on day 2, and this one starts on day 3 halfway through. So the remainder of day 2 must be the start of the page." I pointed out. I hummed in thought, reading it again. "But what does this all mean…?"

"Modern day Robin Hoods…?" Historia mumbled, reading the paper over again. She then shook her head. "No, I think it only started like that, but then it moved on to other stuff."

"Police enforcing curfew…?" I said once I read over it again. "That couldn't have worked out well."

The historian shook her head. "More than likely not. It probably only made people angrier."

I scratched my head, trying to mull this over. "So we know they are kids…"

"Kids who apparently hate corruption." Historia added. "They burnt down corrupt businesses, as well as a police station they deemed corrupt…"

I nodded my head. Since this was the second page, that means we could see what they did next. "They also gave back money to the people, the ones in need. It seemed like the town loved them…" I read over this paper again. "Curfew was instilled, probably so that they could just stop anyone who was outside…"

"And then there's a large gap…" Historia sighed.

"Yeah… Don't remind me…" I took out the second page I found. "This one here talks about the temple…" I pointed out. "Which happens on day 6, and 7. Speaking of which, day 7 seems to be complete, as the sentence didn't cut off."

"How many days do you think there are…?" She grabbed the paper I was holding with a frown.

I hope that this was the last page, honestly, which meant we probably only had to worry about getting maybe two more.

"Huh…" Historia narrowed her eyes slightly. "I never noticed the first part of this page… There was no escape for them anymore. They would be trapped forever."

That part did strike me as odd the other day, but I didn't really have any points I could make on it "Clearly they aren't talking about the temple people, because that comes after…"

"Right, right…" The historian nodded. "We really need whatever page comes before this one…"

I sent a glance her way. We sure do…

"Heya ladies!" A familiar voice called out which made us both jump.

I quickly looked up to see Stephan hanging upside down from his weird hook thing. "What are you doing here? You like eavesdropping on people."

He let himself drop down. "No, I just thought I'd visit the museum, that's all."

I looked at him for a few seconds. "What's your real reason?"

He frowned slightly. "Monokuma has been kinda inactive as of late, don't you think? He didn't even tell us our motive last time. Just kinda let it happen."

"So what?" Historia inquired, putting a hand on her hip.

The parkourist rolled his eyes slightly. "Well, first of all, you'd think someone like him would take any chance he has to taunt us."

I glanced at the ground. It was kinda true. He hasn't really tormented us as of late.

Suddenly.

Bear.

"OH! Is that what you want?" Monokuma was standing a few feet away from us. "You want me to torment you all?"

Stephan snapped his fingers, pointing to Monokuma. "Just the bear I wanted to see!"

"My my, I must be getting popular!" The bear said with a gleeful tone.

The parkourists expression darkened slightly. "So tell me, where have you been as of late?"

Monokuma was sweating a little bit. "What do you mean? I'm a busy bear, who has to do stuff."

I glanced over at Historia, who did the same to me. Maybe Stephan was onto something. "Are you perhaps distracted or something?"

The bear quickly shook its head. "It's nothing like that! It's just my first time doing any of this. How much intervention is too much!"

First time doing this? "You say that like you intend to do more of this."

"Puhuhuhuhuhu." Monokuma laughed. "Perhaps I am. Who are you to try and stop me?"

More people like us getting thrown into a killing game. "No, something like that I won't allow."

He let out another laugh, this one more sinister. "Like I said! Who are you? Nothing but a bunch of high schoolers! Couldn't even avoid being caught in the first place. It'll be easier to get people younger than you!"

"People younger than us?" Historia sent a glare towards him. "Are you attempting to get people even younger than fifteen?"

"Younger than fifteen?" The bear shifted his body slightly. "Puhuhuhuh! The youngest group we have our eyes on are currently only sixteen. And let me say, they aren't you!"

I blinked a few times. "We aren't the youngest? Wait, we are older than sixteen?" No, that couldn't be right! Not one bit.

Stephan leaned back against a wall, thinking. "That means we are at least seventeen, but we're probably much older than that. Who knows how many years of our life had vanished."

Monokuma turned around. "There! Now you can stop asking me stuff! This bear is a busy kuma!" Before I could protest, he was gone.

"Informative…" The parkourist said, leaning away from the wall. "I didn't quite get the answer I wanted, but we got something else unexpected."

Historia had a small frown on her face. She moved some of her hair out of the way of her eyes. "Just how many years have passed by? I need to find some newspapers to confirm some dates."

Newspapers… huh. "Well, the mayor's office should have stuff like that, right?"

This got a smile on her face. "Yeah, that works!" She turned to look at Stephan, but he was already gone. I didn't even see him walk away.

"A-anyways, shall we head there?"

She shook her head. "I'll go there in my own free time." She handed me the piece of paper. "Keep this with you, it's probably safer with you."

Aww, and I was looking forward to finding out what year this was… "Well then, see you." I waved her off.

From the looks of it, it seemed like she was going to stay in the museum, I guess she just liked reading all the things.

.

Time really flies by, because it was already evening time again.

And yeah, it was that time again.

"Hey!" A voice called out, which I didn't even have to guess who it was at this point. My head slowly turned to look at Cameron. "Already another campaign? We played last night."

"Well, yeah, but there isn't much going on in life in general." He pointed out, which I guess was a fair point.

I slowly stood up. "Alright, if you insist. I'm guessing I was the last one you told, like always."

"Y-you're hard to find!" He defended himself. "Most of the people have their own hangout spots, so!"

I rolled my eyes slightly. "Well then, let's go."

"Either way, after this session, I have to get some stuff prepared, so there probably won't be one tomorrow. So there's that to look forward to." He told me with a bright smile.

I glanced over at him, an uncertain smile on my face. "You make it sound like I hate it."

He quickly shook his head. "N-no! That's not what I meant. But it would probably be best to take a break after a while."

I didn't respond right away. Instead, I chose to think about what's been happening in the campaign. "Say… some of the party members have been acting suspicious."

Cameron looked at his wrist, which didn't have a watch. "Well, would you look at the time." And then he left me.

"Rude…" I mumbled to myself. I just wanted to maybe know something about the campaign. Then again, I guess he just can't tell me.

Soon, I arrived at the meeting spot and made my way towards the backroom. Sure enough, everyone was waiting there. Although there was some sort of unease in the air. The party did argue a lot about what should be done. I was pretty much the tiebreaker, it seems.

Cameron had already set up the board. "Alright, a really quick recap." Knowing him, it wouldn't be quick at all. "Sneak in, raid tent. It trap. We kill. We head further into enemy territory."

Well… It was definitely quick, I'll give him that.

Daniella giggled a little bit. "Is that the only recap you'll be giving?"

The dungeon master nodded. "Yup! Today should be a busy session, so we don't want to waste too much time." He set up a few pieces before taking a deep breath. "You all find yourselves in a city beyond the camp. It 's rather busy looking city, but it doesn't appear to be the capital. Not that you'd know, since you don't have a map of the area beyond the camps. You'd probably have to buy one."

I glanced around. "Well, are there any shops nearby that would sell us a map?"

He nodded his head. "I'm glad you asked. At this current moment, you are all traveling down the shopping district of the city. Here, you can buy food, clothes, weapons-"

"I think we'll be good for weapons." Jean snickered.

Cameron looked up at him for a few seconds, clearly not wanting to be interrupted.

The librarian sunk into his seat a little bit. "Sorry…" He mumbled.

"And even places that could sell maps and such. It's a rather rich city, from the looks of it."

"Yeah, the first thing we should do is buy a map for sure." Robin noted, looking down at the areas marked down.

I pointed to a place on the table. "This here seems to be where we could get a map."

Our group wandered into the store, which seemed to have maps of various locations, as well as some books on history.

"Let's try not to spend too much." Daniella warned all of us. "We don't have that much money to begin with."

I tilted my head to the side slightly. I felt like we should have gotten a ton from the camp, but I guess they don't carry money with them while on duty?

Jean turned to look at her, a small smirk appearing on his face. "Then let's go make some money really quick."

She narrowed his eyes at him. "I don't like where this might be heading…"

The librarian simply shrugged his shoulders. "It's nothing bad, let's just split up into two groups of three and see what we can do."

"Splitting up might be the best choice…" Jack said as he turned to leave the shop.

"Aren't we going to at least buy a map?" Why did I feel like everyone was against me? Or at least everyone wanted to kill each other.

"Let's buy a map later." The critic said. "Riley, you can tag along with Daniella and I."

I kinda wanted to go with Robin and Jean, but I'm not going to complain.

"Alright." Cameron turned to look at our group. "Alright, you three can step out, our group is going to do their thing, and then you guys can rejoin.

"Aww, we don't even get to see what happens?" I was pretty disappointed, but once again, I wasn't going to argue.

We pretty much waited outside at the entrance for about an hour before being called back in.

"So, what did you guys do to get money?" Jack asked, crossing his arms. He froze slightly upon seeing what was written on Jean's paper. "Where… did you get all of that?"

"Nowhere in particular." The librarian shrugged. "Just helped some people, and they paid me well."

Daniella narrowed her eyes slightly before coming to a conclusion. "You robbed some place, didn't you. Typical rogue."

"I ain't done shit." He defended himself.

Jack approached Jean's character. "I find it rather hard to believe that this is all honest money."

"It's not fake money, if that's what you're asking." Robin said with a smile. I don't think that helps.

"I challenge you to a duel." Daniella announced to the rogue.

He slowly looked over at her. "What…?"

She grabbed a dice. "Well, clearly you have broken some sort of law. Someone as lawful as myself can't let that go unnoticed."

Cameron looked at the two. "Roll for initiative."

And thus started the duel. The rest of us weren't allowed to interfere.

It seemed that Jean should have this in the bag, since he's more of a fighting class, while Daniella is nothing more than support. But I underestimate just what kind of spells she had on her side. Near the end of the fight, Jean got into range to stab her, and before he could move out of the way, she used a spell called Inflict Wounds. Which was devastating for him because she rolled almost perfectly… I stared at the two. Daniella did not just do that…She used a level two spell slot, so she got to use 4d10. In total, she did 29 damage.

She blinked a few times, before tilting her head. "Really, that's all it took? I thought you would for sure have the advantage given you are a rogue, and I'm nothing but a cleric."

Jean looked rather annoyed. "What are you going to do now? Kill me in front of the rest of the party."

A mischievous grin appeared on the secretary's face. "We are only here to deplete their army, not to rob from people. You should have seen this outcome coming."

I sent a glance over to Cameron. This couldn't be allowed, right? But that didn't help because he seemed really into this confrontation. Like he wanted something like this to happen.

"Hey, wait!" I called out but it was too late, Daniella took the finishing blow and killed off Jean's character.

Robin furrowed his brows slightly. "I don't think that was necessary." He seemed somewhat angry. Honestly, it's the most emotions I've seen from him so far.

She sent him a glance. "You're free to try and fight me too."

He glanced over at her character sheet before looking at his own. He was deep in thought, but then he shook his head. "I'll have to decline for now." For now? Reassuring.

Daniella smirked and reached over to grab Jean's character sheet.

"H-hey, what are you-?" He started to ask.

But he didn't even get time to finish as she pulled out a lighter and lit the page on fire. "Your character is dead, and thus, so goes your sheet."

"Tsh." The librarian crossed his arms, looking away.

Cameron was glancing around the room. "Well, like I always say, if your character dies, you are free to make a new one, which Jean can make between sessions. It gives me time to work on some set stuff!"

Daniella froze slightly, slowly looking over at him. "What? He can make another one?" She seemed rather disappointed to hear that.

I ran my hand through my hair. "It wouldn't be fair if he just couldn't play anymore."

Now, Jean had a grin on his face. "Exactly, I'll be back next session, playing as my brother who's come to get revenge." Well, at least he didn't take it too personally.

Cameron closed his book. "Well, I think I'm going to end it there for the night." He stood up. "There won't be a session tomorrow so that Jean can work on a new character, and also because like I said, I need to work on some things." And with that, he stood up and turned to look at Daniella. "Oh yeah, I need to ask you a favor! I need to borrow something from you."

"Oh? What is it?" She asked with a small smile. Then, the two left, heading out of the building.

Everyone pretty much left except Jean and I. "Are you alright?" I leaned over towards him. He was already working on a new character.

He had a frown on his face as he was writing down some stuff. "I'm fine, just annoyed. That's all." He stopped writing, tapping the pencil against his forehead. God was his writing bad.

I let out a small sigh. "Maybe I can help you take her down. I don't think what she did was right."

He simply shrugged. "That's what happens when one person is chaotic, while the other is lawful. Seems she believes strongly in the law, so she took the matters in her own hands." He leaned back in his chair. "Anyways…" He waved me off. "I got this, so you can head to bed."

I looked at him for a few seconds before getting up. Yeah, it was probably for the best. I then walked off to head back to my room. I let out a small yawn. "You know… For doing nothing but sitting down and rolling dice, it sure is exhausting." I said to no one in particular as I was walking back to the hotel. I pretty much went straight to bed and passed out when my head hit the pillow.

.

The next morning I woke up pretty early and decided to head to the dining hall. When I got there, Lily and Caren were already there, goofing around. I rolled my eyes in amusement as I sat next to them. "Good morning, ladies." I said with a smile.

Lily glanced over at me, a bright smile appearing on her face. "Morning! Are we heading to the gym this morning?"

Oh God… the gym. I know I said I wanted to do routines and such again, but still… I was feeling a little tired this morning. "Maybe not this morning."

The florist frowned slightly before a smile appeared on her face. "Then tomorrow!"

Goddammit. "Yeah sure, I guess tomorrow could work." Why did I agree to it?

She tapped her chin a few times, thinking. "Hey, what if we invited all the other girls, and had a workout session with all of us."

"Oh yes, that would be lovely." Caren agreed.

The others…? "If you want to. I don't see why we can't." Although I'm not sure which girls would want to actually go. Historia doesn't seem like the type of girl who would want to work out. She's way more into books and stuff.

"I think Serena and Enima will be easy to ask." The babysitter noted. She turned her head towards me. "Hey, you think you can ask Historia and Daniella? You get along with the former."

"And you nerd out with the latter." Lily giggled.

"H-hey. I'm not a nerd. I'm being held against my own will!" And it is decently fun. It helps keep my mind off things. "But yeah, I guess I can do that…" I ran a hand through my hair. Although after last night, I'm not sure if I really want to talk to Daniella at all.

I finished up breakfast before setting off. I think I knew where Historia would be hanging out, which would be the museum. She's pretty much been glued to that place since we got here. Then again, for her, it's probably hours of reading she can do.

Stepping into the museum, I was still slightly intimidated by the size of the lobby. It made me feel rather small.

"Oh, fancy meeting you here!" A voice called out, which belonged to Cameron.

I turned to look at him. "Oh? What are you doing here?" I don't think I've seen him come over here yet.

He flashed me a grin. "Just looking for some inspiration for the campaign, as usual." He looked over at the T-Rex skeleton. "Oh, I should make you fight an undead dragon!"

"Please don't." I don't think I can handle a dragon. "How's planning going?"

His face lit up. "Actually, it's almost all done. Jean already has his new character written up. How about we start tomorrow morning?"

I rubbed the back of my head lightly. "Actually…" Then, my head started to hurt a little. Why now all of a sudden? "I kinda have plans with the girls to go to the gym early in the morning." Then, the feeling was gone. I probably didn't eat enough this morning. Or maybe it's because it's Summer or something. This place doesn't have that much working AC.

He blinked a few times before smiling again. "Ah! That's alright, fine by me. It can happen at night too!"

"Well, I'm looking forward to what you have planned." And I didn't lie. I did like the campaign we had going ."Which reminds me. Did you see Historia at all?"

"Historia? I think I saw her roaming around here for a bit. She should still be here." He told me.

"Thank you!" I waved him off as I started to walk away.

After a few minutes of walking, sure enough, I found her there. "Don't you have anything better to do?" I teased her.

She glanced over at me. "No, not really. Why do you think I'm here?"

"Alright, you know what. Fair point." I mumbled, closing one of my eyes. "Anyways, I was wondering if you were free tomorrow morning."

"Are you asking me out on a date?" She asked, still reading the displays.

This caught me slightly off guard. "What? No! I'm not into girls!" Then I rubbed my neck. "At least I don't think I am. Anyways! No, the girls are going to meet up at the gym tomorrow morning, and I was wondering if you wanted to join us."

Historia continued to look at the display, but I don't actually think she was reading it. She quickly turned to look at me. "Y-yeah, sure." Her cheeks were slightly red.

Was that really something to blush over? "Alright, well, we should gather at the table tonight to finalize the plans." I started to walk away.

"H-hey, you're already leaving?" She tried to stop me.

I nodded my head. "Yeah, I still gotta find Daniella and ask her."

"O-oh." She took a step back. "Stay safe out there."

I rolled my eyes in amusement as I walked away. "You know I will!"

Alright, one down, two to go- "Hi Stephan." I didn't even flinch or anything. He dropped himself upside down to land right in front of my face.

"Aww, I didn't get ya?" He turned his body before dropping onto the ground. He ran his hand through his hair, trying to mess it up a bit. "I thought it was a good effort, at least."

I shook my head. "Well, maybe next time. Either way, I'm trying to run an errand. Lily and Caren want me to go find Daniella, since the two of them want everyone to meet up at the gym tomorrow."

"Oh, going to go exercise?" He had a smile on his face. I hope he isn't thinking of joining us. "If you wanted to do some training, all you had to do is do some park-" I hit him. "Alright! Alright. Fair enough." He rubbed his head. "Anyways, I won't get in the way."

I started walking away, but then I felt slightly guilty. "Sorry about hit-" I turned to look at him, but the motherfucker was already gone. Who is he? Batman? I let out a small sigh as I left the museum. If I had to take any guesses, Daniella was in her own Ultimate Lab. Because of course they would be there.

And sure enough, she was just there, writing some stuff down. When I approached the desk, I realized it was all nonsensical sentences, and I think she was just getting bored. I coughed into my hand to get her attention.

"You didn't have to cough, I heard you come in." She told me without looking up from her papers.

"R-right…" Well, this is off to a great start. Might as well get straight to the point. "Say… are you fr-"

Daniella shook her head. "No, I have some prior plans tomorrow morning so I don't think I'd be able to join you."

How did she? "How did you know?"

The secretary stopped her writing. "Oh, I know Cameron wanted to maybe start the campaign tomorrow morning."

"Oh, no. This isn't that. I was going to ask you if you wanted to go to the gy-" Didn't even get the chance to finish that sentence.

"No, my plans still remain. Perhaps another time?" She went back to writing.

Well, I figured it would turn out like this.

Well, I did my part, so might as well take the rest of the day to relax in my room. I should be done for dinner when that happens.

.

Sure enough, it soon became time to head down. Serena and Enima should have been informed of the meetup tomorrow. Hopefully we can all meet up tonight so we can talk about it right now. Sure enough, they were all there.

I sat down at the diner table with the other girls, a small smile on my face. "So, we are doing this tomorrow for sure?"

Caren clapped her hands together. "Yes, it'll be fun for us to all have a girls day out."

"Once again, I think something like that would be best to happen at night." Historia mumbled, leaning her head on her hand. "You know… girls night out."

The babysitter waved her off. "Please, who cares about the actual term. The earlier the better…" She trailed off. "Actually, maybe we should do this a little after lunch time."

"Please…" The Historian begged. "I know Riley likes to sleep in." She quickly said when she realized the others would try and get her to wake up early.

"I've been getting up early recently." I deadpanned at her, which seemed to have put her into a small panic.

"W-well…"

Serena shook her head. "It's fine if it happens around noon. It gives me time to do morning activities."

"Oh! Oh!" Lily raised her hand before turning to look at me. "Did you manage to convince Daniella?"

I shook my head with a small frown. "She said she had prior plans, so she wouldn't be able to join."

"Tsk." Historia put a hand on her hip. "Probably off doing some dumb research."

"Hey." Caren turned to look at her. "Anyone is free to do what they want, they don't have to join us." She looked around. "Speaking of which, aren't we missing Enima right now?"

"She said she was fine for tomorrow, so I guess we'll just see her then." I informed everyone else.

Serena slowly stood up. "Well, if that is all, I'm going to go back to doing what I was earlier."

Everyone soon departed after that, so I decided I might as well do the same. I let out a small yawn and went to bed.

.

Before I knew it, it was already the next day. God, why did sleeping have to pass by so quickly. I let out a small yawn and did my daily morning routine before heading downstairs. I'd have some time before going to the gym, but who am I kidding? It was already ten, so there was no hope in that. I should probably just eat and get ready for heading towards the gym.

"Did you sleep in again?" Historia asked, sitting next to me.

I looked at her, my eyes slightly void from any life. "Yup, same as you."

"I-I did not sleep in." She clearly lied.

I let out a small chuckle, eating some food. "Well then, we should probably walk around a bit before heading to the gym."

Historia crossed her arms. "I was thinking of just staying here until the time came."

I let out a small sigh, not the answer I was hoping for, but whatever. "Fine, I guess we can do that too."

We basically spent most of our time simply waiting, tapping away our fingers, when the other girls showed up from whatever they were doing.

"Is everyone here?" Serena asked, looking around briefly.

I shook my head. "Once again, all but Daniella, but she said she wasn't interested anyways." I repeated what I told them yesterday, because now Enima was here too.

Lily frowned slightly. "Oh, that's a shame."

"It's whatever." Caren turned around to head in the direction of the gym. "We should head out now. It's going to be a long day, after all."

I watched everyone leave ahead of me. The only person who hadn't left yet was Historia, who I turned to look at. "You ready? You don't seem like the fit type."

She had a hand on her hip, shaking her head. "Of course not, I'd much rather study…" She trailed off, poking her fingers together. "But I don't want to be left out."

I chuckled to myself, cute as ever. I started heading towards the exit. "Then let's go."

It was a short three minute walk towards the gym. When we got there, most of the girls had already changed.

"I'm ready!" Lily said, jumping up and down with her cheerleader outfit.

I shook my head, a small smile forming on my face. "Alright there, calm down."

Enima was sitting down on the bench, watching everyone else change. Did she… enjoy this type of thing? Hard to tell. After a few seconds, she got up. "You are all slow."

I rolled my eyes and quickly changed into my gym clothes. "Kinda feels like I'm back at school." I commented as we headed out of the locker room.

We reached about the centerline of the gym when something happened.

.

Ding Dong! Dong Ding! Ding Dong! Dong Ding!

.

Oh? A Monokuma announcement at this time? Oh, please tell me we don't have to gather for a motive, that's rather troublesome, especially when we went through all the trouble of organizing this…

The screen lit up to reveal Monokuma's face. He was sitting on his chair, not saying anything.

It was rather unnerving to watch. Since, it was much different from all the other announcements.

"Puhuhuhuhuhuhu!" He laughed out before finally taking. "A body has been discovered!"

Right then and there, everything was shattered. "A-another body?" I yelled out, taking a step back.

"After a certain amount of time, a class trial will happen." The bear said before the screen went off.

"A body!?" Historia yelled out, looking around. She seemed slightly relieved that it wasn't one of us, but that's not exactly the kind of attitude you should have now.

Then, came the sensation, time seemed to slow down slightly, and I looked around, freaking out. What the hell? What the hell!? Why now? What could I possibly change?

.

A loud sound could be heard, like a mechanism turning on to move stuff. Quickly looking up, I saw the ceiling of the gym opening up. I saw two things. One person who basically looked like a shadow jumping back so they were out of view, and the second person… Who had a rope tied around their neck. They seemed to be unconscious at the moment. However, after a few seconds of the ceiling opening up, they started to fall down. This caused them to wake up, freaking out as they looked around. They gripped the rope around their neck, trying to take it off. I couldn't quite decipher their facial expression at the moment because of my panic. I tried to run over to do something, but it was too late. They stopped several feet off the ground with a loud snap, as their neck probably broke. Swinging from the ceiling, was none other than Jean Libri, the Ultimate Librarian.
