Sophie's POV…
After what seemed like forever, I woke up with a splitting headache. I groaned loudly as I sat up and held my head in my head. God, it hurt so much!
I let out a whimper. Not only did my head hurt, my vision was blurry and I couldn't see where I was.
One of my hands reached back to touch the back of my head as I remembered that it had slammed against the floor rather hard, curtesy of Rose. My ex best friend. As I touched my head, my eyes widened a little, feeling stiches. How did those get there? I blinked a couple times and my vison slowly went normal. When it was completely back to normal, I found myself in the medical bay of the TARDIS. The place where I shared my first real kiss with Theta…
As I thought of my mate, I realized something.
I was in the TARDIS and that meant one thing…
'THETA!' I screamed mentally. 'THETA!' And I waited with bated breath.
Suddenly, my mate burst through the doors, looking as if he had been crying and his hair was mussed up even more so than usually. Seeing my mate brought tears to my eyes.
"Sophie." He said my name and because I never thought I would hear it again, I let out a sob, not even caring about my horrible headache. I jumped off of the and threw myself at Theta, throwing my arms around him and wrapping my legs around his waist.
He held me so close to him and so tightly as if he was afaird I would disappear. "Oh Sophie…" he whispered tearfully, burying his face into my hair. "Thank Rassilon, you're okay. I thought…"
"Don't…" I cut him off sharply as I shook my head and my arms tightened around his neck while I burrowed my face into my mate's chest. "Don't even say it…" I whispered into his chest. I didn't want to even think about it and if he said, I had no doubt in my mind that I would start thinking about it.
"Okay…" he whispered back. "I won't say it…"
"Thank you…" Sniffing, I lifted my head from his chest and I kissed him with all that I had.
Automatically, he kissed me back, desperately as he cupped my face in his hands and pushed his lips harder against mine.
God, I never realized how much I missed his lips until just now. I wanted to kiss him longer but my headache came back in full force and I whimpered into his mouth.
Theta broke the kiss and looked at me, alarmed.
"My head…" I started to explain with another whimper. "It hurts…"
My mate soothed me, placing his fingers on my temples as he pushed his forehead on mine.
Knowing what he was doing, I let him inside of my mind and I closed my eyes. Suddenly, my headache was gone, causing of relief leaving my lips.
With that, Theta removed his fingers and leaned his head back as his fingers stroked my cheek.
"Better, darling?" he asked me gently.
I nodded my head, smiling softly at the nickname. He hadn't called me that before, but I liked it. "Much better."
"Good…" He kissed my forehead. Then he removed my legs from around his waist, setting them on the floor, and he looked down at me, regarding me seriously. "What happened? I heard Rose's side, now you tell me."
When he mentioned Rose telling her side of the story, I knew that she had lied to him about what happened.
Instead of me saying anything, I grabbed his hands and brought them up to the sides of my head, silently telling him that I wanted to show. It would better that way.
He got it and placed his fingers on my temples. He pressed his forehead back against mine. I let him access the memory.
Once it was over, my mate jerked back from and his eyes were so dark with anger that it made me shiver. His face hardened, his body stiffened, and his hands curled into fists.
The Oncoming Storm was here.
Before I could even tell him to calm down, he ran out of the room, growling.
Automatically, I chased after him as fast as I could and I managed to catch up to him, but I was still running behind him.
He ran all the way to the console room and there was Rose sitting in the captain's chair. She smiled brightly when he entered but then it fell at the look on his face.
"What's wrong?"
"WHAT'S WRONG?! WHAT'S WRONG?!" Theta snarled and Rose flinched. "WHAT'S WRONG IS THAT YOU – ROSE TYLER – ALMOST GOT SOPHIE KILLED?!"
She opened her mouth, but she was sputtering as she tried to protest. He wasn't having any of it.
"DON'T YOU DARE, DON'T YOU DARE! DON'T YOU DARE TRY TO DENY IT! SOPHIE TOLD ME EVERYTHING!" He was stepping closer to Rose as he raged at her. The blonde jumped off of the captain's chair and backed away from him. "NOW THAT IS NOT OKAY WITH ME! KILLING IS NOT OKAY WITH ME! YOU ARE DONE! DONE!"
"D-done?" Rose sputtered.
"DONE! YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE TARDIS ANYMORE! I'M TAKING YOU BACK HOME!" Theta glared heatedly at Rose as he headed over to the console to do just that.
"No Doctor, please!" Rose begged. "Don't take me back home!" He ignored her while he set the coordinates. Tears filled her eyes. "I love you!"
Theta stopped what he was doing and gripped the console, lifting up his head and giving her a dark look. "I don't love you, Rose. I love Sophie. She's my mate." His face softened somewhat. "I'm sorry. But I don't have feelings for you."
Rose looked like she had been slapped in the face. He turned back to the controls.
And silence filled the TARDIS after that. Rose didn't even try to blame for what happened, like I thought she would.
We took her back home and Theta explained what happened to Jackie. Then without another word, he went back into the TARDIS. After saying my goodbyes to Jackie, I turned to Rose who was finally glaring at me.
"This is all your fault." She accused angrily and I said nothing. "If you hadn't come into the TARDIS, none of this would be happening!"
"Rose…" Jackie started to say warningly but I cut her off.
"It's okay," I said calmly, turning to her and giving her a soft smile. Then I turned back to my ex best friend and she was still glaring at me. I spoke up, still in a calm voice, "It's not my fault that this happened. You brought this upon yourself. You let jealousy get the best of you." For some reason, her body froze. I ignored it as I continued on, "If you hadn't and realized that the Doctor wasn't interested in you, then it wouldn't have happened. Don't blame me." I ended it as with that and I turned to leave. Before I could do that, Rose went to slap me. I stopped her by slapping her first. It was in self-defense.
Rose held her cheek and she stared at me, shocked.
I didn't say anything as I went back into the TARDIS and the doors closed behind me.
TBC...
The next chapter will be a original one, which my co-writer will be helping me with :) Update might not be as early as this one was but hopefully in a week or something.
But yeah, Sophie's okay and sorry about not giving you an explanation of how she survived. As long as she survived, I guessed that you wouldn't mind that there wasn't an explanation. And the Doctor and Sophie are reunited too, so that's good too! ;)
Not only that, Rose is gone. For now. We will be seeing her again for the S2 two part finale.
One final thing, I will be skipping Love and Monsters because I find that episode boring so I'll be moving to Fear Her :) Thus making it even closer to the finale of S2 and we can finally get into S3 :)
Alright, that's all I have to say! I hope you enjoyed the last part of the Satan's Pit! And leave reviews! Until next time on WITS! :D
