SOD: So what did we learn, Anderu-san
Andrew: Never oppose the mind of someone that find Boku no Pico art.
SOD: Personally, the visual novel was better to me.
Andrew: ... What?
SOD: What?
Andrew: IT HAD A VISUAL NOVEL?!
SOD: Oh, you poor, young, inexperience tomodachi. I got things to show you.
Andrew: Someone save me!
SOD: Pidgeot, get the rope!
"To think we tied. I thought for sure we'd have the advantage." Relon lets out a sigh.
"Kid, never underestimate the Wandering Beast. All that walking is useful, you know." Yujiro grins.
"I thought you hated your nickname." The boy flatly states eyeing the man.
"Hm? Oh, hey! It's been a while since you've been in Heimdallr."
"Really?" Relon sighs. "Whatever. Five years I think? Last time we stayed for only a month. How long will it be this time?"
"No clue. But there's a lot you'll be doing here."
"Me? You're not going to dip on my life again, are you?" Relon asks.
"What makes you say that?" Yujiro raises an eyebrow.
"You've been gone for days or weeks at a time before. Legram being a whole two years so I was just wondering."
"Sorry, kid. You're stuck with me this time."
"Why say sorry? I'm happy we get to be together again."
"Oh, you won't be for much longer."
"Why do you say that...?" Relon grows nervous.
"Remember that surprise?"
"Yeah..."
"Wanna guess what it is?"
"Does it relate to training...?"
"Mhmmmmm."
"Training that includes being with... Oh no."
"Oh yeah!" Yujiro happy wraps an arm around the boy. "Vic got his fun. Now it's my turn to train you!"
"If it's going to be like our fight yesterday, I would rather not be punched with the power of a freight train. Though, I'm just glad I didn't end up with any broken bones."
"Oh kid, compliments won't save you unlike that fire of yours."
"Someone help me. I'm stuck with a sadistic guardian."
"Haha, you know ya love me."
"So was the surprise it? Just you training me?"
"Huh? Oh no, the training is a bonus actually."
"Wait, then what's the surprise?"
"That." The two stop, Relon going wide-eyed at the sight before him.
Without realizing they're currently in Dreichels Plaza, he stares at Valflame Palace, home of the Imperial family as well as the government.
"You're joking right? We're not actually going inside the palace where the Blood and Iron Chancellor, not to mention the literal King and Queen live! That palace?!"
"Whoa there, hyper nerd. You're close."
"What do you mean?"
"I'm going in while you head to Mater Park. A friend of mine, which you can guess is pretty high up is inside, wants to meet you. I don't know how long it will take so try to be there in a few hours. Go sightseeing. We weren't able to see all of Heimdallr last time, after all."
"They want to meet me? What for? Why not invite me inside too?"
"Patience, young grasshopper. One does not know thine answer until it is brought before thyself." Yujiro says in a wise accent rubbing his chin.
"Uncle Victor sounds better saying that. Just stick to your usual tone."
"Tch, whatever. Damn brat. Try not to get into trouble while I'm gone." He waves heading to the guards before being escorted across the bridge.
"Well, I guess we won't know until then. Might as well take Mister up on his advice and look around. It's been a while after all. Sightseeing is never a boring thing, right?" A rattle at his waist comes in response. "Oh, right. You can't see." He unlocks his sheathe, the sword inching out slightly revealing a sliver of its blade. "Better? One rattle for yes, two for no." A single rattle. "Alright, let's go."
Now that I think about it, I stopped sightseeing after the incident three years ago. I was so stuck into books I lost the joy of the activity. I'm grateful to everyone for helping me get over that. That includes you Nameless.
Taking off at a leisurely stroll, both enjoy the bustling city scanning through dozens of people commuting to other locations via railways and orbal bus routes. After what feels like an hour, Relon comes to a stop.
"Huh, the Garnier District. We rarely came here before. If I remember correctly, it's famous for its Opera House." Stopping before the structure, he continues to himself. "It's considered the oldest and largest opera house in Zemuria. Its construction was completed in approximately S.954. During the Middle Ages, it served as a common meeting place for nobles. Hmm, Mister said it would be a few hours so sitting for a little bit shouldn't hurt." Just as he reaches for the door handles, something yellow catches his attention.
Turning to where the jewelry store is, he sees a girl with long elegant blonde hair in what appears like a school uniform running down the road. A moment later, some men come running in the same direction.
"That doesn't look good..." Glancing to his sword, he gives a nod.
Running into a nearby alleyway, Relon hops on lifting up to the rooftop before taking off.
"Mister said not to get in trouble yet here I am getting myself involved. Bad luck just seems to follow us, huh?" Looking through the passing streets, he spots the girl being cut off at every angle as she attempts to enter the more populated districts.
They're keeping her out of sight from the civilians.
Landing down in an alley ahead of her, he runs out revealing himself forcing her to halt. Fear and worry evident as her eyes goes to his sword now at his waist.
"Don't be afraid, I'm here to help." He explains calmly.
"She went this way!" A voice shouts followed by the stomping of feet.
"Come on!" He calls, the girl hesitating for a moment before nodding as they take off down an alleyway.
Turning the corner, they meet three men.
"There she is! And she has someone with her!" They give chase, the two running down another alleyway.
Coming to a fork, they waste no time going left. Relon raising a hand halting their motion.
"Let's check this way!" A voice calls up ahead.
"Lets double back." He suggests walking past her.
"We haven't checked this way yet. C'mon!"
"Behind us too?" Frantically looking around, he spots an alleyway. "Quick, in here." He takes the girl by her hand as they quickly enter hiding behind a dumpster.
Relon unconsciously holding the girl close to his chest as they hug the wall.
"Did you see either of them?"
"Naw, they couldn't have gotten far. We have this whole area cut off."
"Yeah, she ain't getting out of here. No way!"
"Let's go this way. We may have missed them." Soon, the stomping ceases. Both kids breathing a sigh of relief.
"Leave it to Heimdallr to have a whole district made of alleyways." Relon curses.
"Um." Looking down, he realizes what he's doing to quickly put space between them.
"S-Sorry about that."
"N-No, not that." She squirms in place but before she can say it-
"There they are!"
She's interrupted as from both ends, thug-looking men approach. On instinct, Relon places her behind him, his demeanor calm.
"What it is you want from this girl?"
"What do we want? Just look at her and that should tell you everything kid. Now, hand her over and we might let you go." A man seeming to be the leader of the thugs step out.
"So a bunch of grown men are threatening two kids for a number of possible reasons. You really think I'd let her go after giving her probably the chase of her life? Sorry, but she's staying with me."
"A brave one, I respect that. But tell me, you're surrounded on both ends. How do you plan to escape?"
"Simple." Relon smirks glancing to girl. "Things are about to get a little hectic so hold on tight, okay?"
"Wha? Ah!" She yelps as he picks her up bridal-style.
"To answer your question; up. Partner!" He calls, his sword escaping its sheathe hovering before him.
Hoping on, they rise up.
"What the?! After them!" The thug leader orders.
At a loss for words, the blonde girl looks in total disbelief at what's happening.
"We're..."
"Flying. Yeah." They hop off onto a nearby roof. "But now exactly isn't the time." He wraps the cloth around his wrist. "Those guys are climbing up as we speak. So I have one question; are you afraid of heights?"
"N-No."
"Good." He hops back on. "Let's get out of here." He extends a hand smiling.
Her blue eyes stare at the boy before giving the first smile since they've met.
"I'm in your care." She reaches out boarding the sword wrapping her arms around Relon's torso as he wraps an arm around her waist holding tight.
"Get them!" A thug calls appearing from the edge.
"Later!" Relon bids, the sword taking off into the sky. "So long mysterious thugs and hello wonderful view of Heimdallr." Relon sighs in relief as the blonde girl looks everywhere seeming to enjoy herself.
"This is amazing! Do you do this all of the time?"
"Yup. It's thanks to my partner I can do this."
"Your partner? You mean your sword?"
"Yeah. It's special as you can see. Right, buddy?" A quick elevation of up and down is its answer.
"A flying sword. It's just like out of a book I once read."
"You wouldn't happen to be referring to the book, "The blade that flew around the world in 80 days?"
"Yes, that's the one! You've read it too?!"
"Yeah, it caught my interest a few years ago. I know a certain someone who loved it." His words causing the sword to take off even faster.
"Whoa!"
"Aw, it's embarrassed. That's so cute." The blonde squeals. "You two must be close."
"We are. We've been together since I was an infant. We're inseparable at the hip you could say."
Both continue flying and talking before Relon asks something he should have a while ago.
"So where is your home or is there a safe place I can drop you off?"
"Oh, yes. I was supposed to head with my brother after school to Mater Park."
"Really? I was told to go there too."
"That's quite the coincidence. I wonder..."
"Wonder what?"
"Oh, it's nothing. Just a thought." She giggles.
"Hmm? Okay. Partner, you remember where Mater Park is, right?" Another nod before it changes directions.
Within 15 minutes, they arrive landing at the entrance.
"That was so much fun. I cannot thank you again for saving me." She bows.
"Think nothing of it. I just did what anyone would do, er... I never got your name." He laughs sheepishly.
"Oh, you're right. How silly of us though considering our earlier predicament, it couldn't be helped I suppose. Ahem, thank you for saving me. I am-
"Took you long enough!" Both turn to the voice seeing Yujiro walking up to them, a blonde man next to him.
"Olivert? Is that you?" The girl asks.
"Olivert? Wait...!"
"Haha, you have my forgiveness fair maiden but alas, I am not who you think I am. I am simply a wandering man giving the world my love and joy for music." He pulls out a ukulele. "For I am, Olivier Lenheim."
"Prince Olivert, you're not fooling anyone." Yujiro says, the blonde man sighing.
"Brother, just drop it. As exquisite as you look, you're not fooling your dear sister."
"Yes. Yes. You both have a point."
"Excuse me." Relon raises a hand. "I'm a little lost still."
"Oh, that's right. I couldn't introduce myself." The blonde girl moves to stand next to the blonde man giving a curtsy. "I am Alfin Reise Arnor. Crown princess of the Erebonian royal family, and the man next to me is-
"Olivert Reise Arnor. The oldest sibling of you and your other brother as well as being your half-brother. He holds the title of Debaucherous Prince for his political efforts." Relon interrupts seeming stunned as he falls back on a nearby bench with shock written all over. "Oh my goodness, I saved a princess." He exclaims in shock to turn into horror. "Oh my goodness, I picked up a princess without their consent."
"Haha, you weren't joking, Yujiro. He certainly is an interesting fellow. Now what's this about picking my sister up?" He takes a seat next Relon smiling at the boy.
In that moment, Relon can swear he feels his insides freeze over.
"I can explain."
One Explanation Later
"So that's it." Olivert responds.
"I guess that explains why those thugs were chasing after you. If they got you, they'd hold some ransom over you. But if they ambushed you the moment you left school and took out your escort, it shows they must have planned this all shows they're no mere group of thugs. But they didn't seem like such when we were being chased so what's the deal."
"There is the possibility that those men you encountered weren't the ones who planned the failed kidnapping." Olivert suggests.
"Just pawns to a higher power, hmm? Question is; where's the boss?" Yujiro questions.
"Regardless, I'm relieved you're safe, Alfin. Relon, you have my deepest gratitude."
"I just did what anyone would have done."
"Not many would have done what you did and not expect something in return."
"You have a point. For me, seeing her highness safe is enough satisfaction." He shrugs.
"Truer words cannot be spoken."
"Ah, my hero. Whisking me away with such valor. One couldn't dream of a more suitable bodyguard."
"Your highness, you're too kind- Wait. Bodyguard?" He looks from Alfin to her brother. "Prince Olivert, why did you want to meet me?"
"Oh, yes! I almost forgot. Relon Lucinance. Child under the Wandering Beast. Disciple in the teachings of the Arseid school. I have an offer for you. Will you take on the role of being Princess Alfin's personal bodyguard?"
One blink. Then two. And finally a few more as his brain processes what just came from the prince's mouth. Looking to the smiling prince, his eyes shift to Alfin smiling the same and finally to Yujiro, the man smirking with crossed arms. Replaying Olivert's words in his mind, he can only utter one word.
"What?"
Later
This isn't actually happening. Right?
Now in a limousine, her looks to the royal siblings sitting across from him and Yujiro next to him.
Me? A bodyguard? To the royal family's daughter no less?! Just how many connections does Mister have?! Wait, forget that! There's no way they'd let some 12-year-old protect one of Erebonia's National Treasures!
Feeling movement to his right, he glances at his weapon seeming to have noticed his distress. Taking a small breath to calm himself, Relon eyes the palace ahead of them.
Prince Olivert said we would talk in a more appropriate setting. I should have known he was referring to the LITERAL place they live in. Ever since finding out they're the royal family, I haven't been able to think straight. I'm just glad my years in Legram are about to hopefully pay off. Klaus, your teachings won't be in vain.
"What's with you?" Yujiro asks noticing the boy deep in thought.
"Huh? Oh, just thinking. I didn't expect to meet the royal family out of the blue so I'm still taken aback."
"Think nothing of it. The situation called for it. Besides, I do not wish for our relationship to be status-related but rather a relationship based on friendship. Similar to what Yujiro and I share."
"My brother's right, Relon. Should you accept the offer, I'd wish for you to think of me as a normal girl and not as a princess. Though, if you prefer to treat me as such, I have no complaints~."
"R-right. Understood."
What did Mister get me into?!
Cutting his eyes at the man, he can only mentally sigh.
"Seems like we're here." Yujiro announces gaining everyone's attention.
Not long after, they enter the palace. Relon can only awe at the massive space it holds.
I read in the books that Valflame Palace was enormous but we just entered the front door already we're standing in a room three times the size of the training grounds back in Legram!
Following the prince and princess, they traverse a long corridor being greeted by the occasional staff being caretakers or soldiers. Soon after Olivert changes from his disguise, they stop in a room with a large staircase.
Does that lead to the throne room? Are the king and queen inside?! Just stop thinking, Relon.
"Oh, Alfin and Olivert, there you two are! Mother and father were getting worried." All look to see a young boy around Alfin's age come. "Oh, hello. Are these the guests for mother and father?"
"Yes, they are. We are heading to meet with them now as we speak."
"I got... held up. I'm sorry to worry you Cedric."
"You're here an that's what matters. I was just taking a break from my studies so I should be getting back. It was nice meeting you both." He bows before leaving.
"That was Prince Cedric... And wait, did you say we were heading to meet the king and queen?!" Relon exclaims.
"But of course. It was both my suggestion and Yujiro's on you being Alfin's bodyguard in the first place. Now, should they accept the condition, you just need to accept and the job yourself."
"Wait, you both? Okay, timeout." He states looking straight at Yujiro. "What's your game?" He states.
"Hm? Mind clarifying what exactly you're asking, kid?" Yujiro asks, a single twitch escapes Relon as his fists tighten. The air around him becoming noticeably warmer.
"You want me to clarify? Fine, I'll make it crystal clear!" He barks stepping right up to his guardian. "You found me in a burning forest, raised me as your own, wouldn't even tell me your own name and made me have to figure it out for 12 years, left me for two of those years in Legram to train learning how to use my partner, finally come back to fight me out of the blue, and now you're giving me the option of becoming the bodyguard to a member of the royal family. I'm only 12 and I can clearly see something's up. You know all of these famous and important people such as the Divine Blade of Frost, Uncle Victor, and now you somehow know a member of the royal family. So here's my question; Just what are you planning?" Relon now clenching his hands against the man's shirt.
"I was wondering what was keeping you all." A ruling voice catches their attention. Swiftly turning their heads, the group of four sees standing at the top of the staircase two adults seeming to be of high class walking to them.
"Mother. Father." Olivert greets.
"Oh, Alfin! Are you alright?" The mother embraces.
"I'm fine, mother. It's all thanks to Relon that I'm here. He was like my knight in shining armor."
Both adults look from the girl to Relon.
"So this is the famed power that presides within this child."
"Power?" Relon repeats to now realize his voice is slightly different, markings are visible on his hands, and his vision is slightly altered.
"Calm down, kid."
Backing away from everyone, Relon takes a few deep breaths. His visions soon returns to normal as too does his markings recede. Unable to think properly, he can only utter one thing.
"... Sorry."
"I must say, having such strong emotions able to become a human furnace is quite something." Olivert gives a chuckle. "Shall we head into the throne room and continue with what we came her for?"
"Yes. Let us." The king agrees glancing to Relon before he heads back up followed by the queen, Olivert who gives a smile at the boy, and Yujiro patting his shoulder before heading up as well leaving just Relon and Alfin.
Out from his sheathe hovers the blade Alfin walks over before him. Averting her gaze, he looks back seeing Alfin still giving that same sweet smile grabbing a hold of his hand.
"Cheer up. Everything will be alright." Before he can respond, she leads him up the staircase, his sword returning to his sheathe as they enter the throne room.
Letting go, he takes notice of the king and queen sitting on their thrones with Olivert to the father's side and Alfin going to stand on her mother's. Walking next to Yujiro, both kneel before the royal family.
"It has been a while, your majesties. I pray you and your family continue to stay in good health." Yujiro greets.
"Thank you, old friend. Twelve years now, I believe. Once I heard you were resigning as the royal bodyguard, we could only wonder what the cause was." Glancing to Relon. "Now I can guess what."
Mister was a bodyguard to the royal family? I never would have guessed...
"When you messaged us informing of a position as a bodyguard, we were led to believe it would be you taking the position so I am curious on what grounds you believe this boy to be a more suitable choice to protect my daughter. Care to indulge us Olivert? Wandering Beast?" The queen asks.
"Heh. It would he my pleasure." Yujiro stands setting into his usual stance. "I have a few points but I'll save the best for last."
Taking a moment to smirk at Relon who slowly stands up unsure of whether he can or not, Alfin giving the smallest nod for confirmation.
"The kid has a high intelligence. He knows basically everything there is to know."
"Really, now? Tell me, boy, what was the War of the Lions?"
"Erebonia was plunged into a civil war following the death of Emperor Valius Vin in S.947 and assassination of his son, Crown Prince Manfred, mere days later."
"Would you mind giving a rough estimate as far as the population goes for the five great cities?" The queen asks.
"Yes, ma'am. Heimdallr holds around 800,000. Crossbell and Ordis holds around 500,000. Bareahard holds 300,000. And finally, Roer holds 200,000."
"My, he doesn't jest. The child is correct."
"My second point which is an obvious one as I'm sure you heard outside the throne room; he trained under Victor himself. Although for only two years, he's gained plenty of skill with the sword for a boy his age. Considering he was able to leave an actual mark on my body although small." This causing both to widen noticeably as does Olivert.
"Go on." The king orders with seemingly an interest as does the queen.
"This boy has a few... traits that make him rather unique as you saw a moment ago."
"That power residing inside him." The queen comments.
"The very same. We didn't know what the exact trigger was for some time but we eventually figured out.
"His anger." The king comments.
"Right you are, your highness."
"That dormant power awakens according to the kid's anger. So the angrier he gets, the more likely it is to occur. Now, imagine if I could help him control such a power to use in emergencies such as protecting a certain princess." He looks over his shoulder at Relon.
"What else?" Olivert is the one to ask this time.
"Hey, you can come out now." He calls but nothing happens confusing the royal parents.
"Oh, you're referring to his sword, aren't you?" Alfin claps her hands together.
"Kid, call it out." He asks out the side of his mouth. "Now is not the time to have me looking it an idiot." Relon nodding.
"Partner, help him out please." At his command, the sword flies out shocking the two as the king rises to his feet awing at the hovering sword.
"What sorcery is this?"
"Your majesty, you and I both know I have zero magic. Believe it with your own eyes because what you're seeing is the real deal. A flying sword with a mind of its own linked to the kid." The sword hovers around the room stopping before Alfin.
"Hello again." She rubs the handle, the sword seeming to like this. "You're quite special aren't you?" It nods happily before floating over next to Relon.
"Incredible." Both awe.
"Yes, when I first heard about it, I was in denial but with how serious Yujiro claimed, I had to take his word and after seeing it today, I have no words beside expressing joy in the bond between it and Relon. A true bond between a man and sword." Olivert says with passion.
A bond that transcends the literal meaning, Prince Olivert. Relon sweatdrops. I feel like Mister went from listing my points to showing me off as some merchandise. Then again, it is the king and queen. I can't help but feel out of place in this situation.
"Is there anything else?" The queen wonders.
"Two things. Hey kid."
"Ye- Whoa!" He dives out of the way of a punch, his back to the royal family. "Are you seriously just going to start randomly punch me to show off my reflexives?! We are in the throne room to the literal king and queen of Erebonia! Have some tact and just explain it to them!" Relon pleads, embarrassment evident.
"Well, kid, one problem with that. They're royalty of the highest degree and wish to see proof instead hear words."
"But what if I didn't dodge it?!"
"Then you shrug it out from whatever wall you crash into like you did yesterday. You can take a few of my punches. I ain't raise no wimp."
All Relon can do is sigh.
"Somebody help me." His sword getting up in Yujiro's face seeming to be scolding the man. "Thanks, partner. It's the thought that counts."
"Ahem." Relon turns around remembering where he is, both Olivert and Alfin chuckling and giggling at the two's antics along with the queen.
"And the last 'trait?'" The king questions.
"Kid, all you." Nodding nervously, he lifts up his left hand for a flame to ignite.
All are astonished by the sight before them.
"And there really is no magic involved?" The king asks bewildered walking to Relon.
Magic. That's twice now he's mentioned it. So magic is real?
"None at all. This is just one of the many things special about the boy. Like where he was born."
"It's warm... Where were you born, child?" The King now only inches away questions.
Gulping on reflex, Relon answers.
"... Ashland." This seeming the get the tiniest of reactions from the king.
"Interesting. And what of your lineage?" The question causing Relon to tense up before slumping his shoulders slightly.
"I..."
"He doesn't know. He was an orphan when I found him. No sight of a family anywhere. His past is a mystery. One he wishes to uncover one day." Yujiro answers, everyone taken aback.
"I see..." The king glances at the saddened boy.
"He has a better handle on his fire but it's still developing."
"Is that all?"
"That's everything, your highness."
Returning to his seat, he eyes Relon. Yujiro walks up placing a shoulder on the boy seeming to cheer up slightly.
"Well, father, mother? What are your thoughts?"
"Clearly, the boy has talent. His intelligence makes it difficult to be caught off guard should he end up in a location he is unfamiliar with. And should the likelihood of that occur, he has a number of assets to deal with almost any situation should he find himself in." The queen answers.
Amazing...! She summarized everything Mister and I explained so easily. That's the queen for you.
"What do you think, dear?" Her question going unanswered as he stands up once again.
"Throughout the history of my family, the Vander family has always been delegated to protecting the royal family. Olivert was acquainted with his bodyguard not that long ago and Cedric is still too young to have one. The reason my daughter is being assigned one is due to growing concern related to events such as what most likely occurred today."
"Some group is after her and you want me to go undercover. It would do no good having a Vander member waltzing over Heimdallr when the threat still lingers." Relon speaks up.
"Your intelligence precedes one so young such as yourself. Yes, that is indeed what I am implying. So, here is my proposal." His voice becoming serious and order-like. "Relon Lucinance, son of Yujiro Namikaze. Will you take the position as Princess Alfin's bodyguard and should the need arises, will you put your life on the line to protect her? This will of course come with benefits very few could ever dream of."
"If I accept, I could care less about any benefits."
"Kid!" Yujiro snaps.
"Oh? Then should you accept, what will be the cause boy?" He narrows his eyes.
Looking at the king from where he's standing, their eyes lock. Relon raising an arm as all look to where he points.
"Me?" Princess Alfin wonders.
"Yeah. Your majesties, there's a group out there that are being controlled from the strings by someone. And for some reason, they want your daughter. I didn't know she was royalty before and honestly I could care less. But she's human like the rest of us and I want to help!" This surprising everyone. "I refuse to stand idly by and allow such a crime to be committed. If someone is being targeted for another's own personal gain and I can stop it, then they'll have to get past me and my partner and we don't go down easily." He finishes clenching his left hand, his eyes locking back onto the king.
"Damn. Vic would be proud of that little speech." Yujiro mutters.
"Your conviction is commendable. But do you honestly believe that with all of these traits you hold, you'll be able to protect my daughter? You may not lack much but one thing is experience. Something the Wandering Beast has plenty of compared to you."
"That's why I won't be doing this completely by myself." This causing everyone to give confused expressions. "You're right, I lack experience. No amount of training can compare to the real thing. That's why I have a suggestion."
"Which would be?" The queen asks.
"I'll remain by her highness' side and from afar will be Mister. Is this appealing your majesties?"
"Hmm. Tell me something, Relon." Olivert speaks up.
"Yes?"
"What will you do should my father and mother suddenly decline the offer to be Alfin's bodyguard."
"Even if that happens, I'm still not leaving until the issue at hand is dealt with. Whether I have the job or not, there's an issue that needs to be fixed."
"Hmpf, I couldn't agree more. Mother, Father? What are your answers?"
"I am in agreement of the boy's plan." The queen speaks up. "With the Wandering Beast watching over the both of them, the chances of an accident occur diminishes.
"And you, father?"
He remains quiet before walking before Relon, the boy stiffening.
"Let me lay unto you a warning. Should anything happen to my daughter, the consequences shall lay on both you and Yujiro's heads. Am I understood?"
"Crystal, sir."
"Well then, I have no issue with this. In the end, Yujiro still watches over her. An ideal plan I must agree. Alfin, what say you?"
"I wouldn't want any other person for the role."
"Then that just leaves one more person to say yes." Olivert mentions. "Relon, do you accept?"
He looks to Alfin, her heavenly smile unwavering after every said before.
If I accept, this will lead us to not only stop that mysterious group but I may uncover something about my past. Then there's the matter with Mister I still need to address later. Learn about my past and save one of Erebonia's national treasures. Only one thing to say to that.
"When can we start?"
