Chapter 60

A/N: holllllly shit sixty chapters?! Have I really made it this far? Just holy shit. To everyone still reading this fic thank you for being patient with me. I never expected to be writing this five years later. Enjoy the ride~~!

A hand strummed softly across the guitar as the baby boy gurgled in his crib.

"Listen my child and I'll tell you a tale about the time when emotions ran wild across the land. There was anger that raged war, and love that always protected the fair. Pride, pleasure, and pain were three that always seemed to go hand in hand. With these three you'll see there's much to be learned so you are not to get burned. That's for when you're older though but you have no fear no one shall harm you as long as I'm here. You're my pride and joy my one and only baby boy."

A soft kiss was placed on his cheek. "Where'd you learn that song?"

"Dad used to sing it to Fuuma when he was a little boy, he probably doesn't remember it but I do. I remember being envious because my mother wouldn't let him sing it to me."

"Well I'm glad Aiko got to hear it. Since when can you play the guitar?"

"For a while easier to carry then a piano, though maybe I should just shrink my piano and carry it around in my pocket."

Subaru laughed. "Is it wrong for me to wish for things to stay like this forever?"

"No, it's never wrong to wish just don't dwell on the dreams and forget you have a life to live."

"You're worried about your mother, aren't you, Seishirou?"

Whenever Subaru used his full name the older of the two knew they were about to have a serious conversation; that or Subaru was mad at him for something or another.

"In a word…yes. My mother has always had a hold on me, more so after..." Seishirou paused and squeezed Subaru's hand.

"Your sister?"

"Yeah…"

"Have you spoke with your brother about this? He's your last blood relative, I think he has the right to know. That aside, he also looks up to you."

"I think the time has come to talk to everyone, I'm going to send a letter. See you in bed." A ghost of a kiss left to the younger male's cheek as Seishirou headed for the top floor of the manor.

Fuuma was dozing on the couch after finally getting the twins to fall asleep. Kamui was working late at Gringotts tonight and the taller male didn't feel like going to their bed alone. He couldn't remember what time it was he had fallen asleep but the sun was shining when he felt a familiar pair of lips of his own.

"Hi sleepyhead…you've got a letter; looks like your brother's handwriting."

Fuuma sat up stretching and pulling Kamui down to sit next to him before opening the letter and reading his brother's elegant handwriting. Even Kamui's violet eyes went wide.

"Kamui?"

"Yeah?"

"Stay here with the twins…I have to make a family visit."

Kamui frowned before nodding. "You better come back...I'm calling Hokuto and we'll meet at the..." Kamui paused shuddering at the thought. "The Manor."

A kiss to the top of his head as Fuuma disapparated.

"I never thought I'd be here again..." He looked around and everything looked abandoned. The garden where he had first discovered he was a wizard didn't look like it had been tended to in years.

"Come to kill me, my little boy?" The voice made him jump but it wasn't long before he regained his cool.

"I'm not you're little boy, never was. You know that."

"True, you were just a reject."

"I'm not here to kill you; I don't know if I could. Where's the Horcrux Mother?"

"So you're not such a stupid mudblood after all, are you?"

"I can't take the credit; Seishirou figured it out."

"Of course he would so why don't you put your heads together and figure it out. I'm sure your precious brother being who he is knows how they're made."

"You're sick and when we find it, we'll destroy it and end you."

"Don't count your spells before you say them dear. This time you may have bitten off more than your mudblood self can handle."

Kamui was pacing around the manor as Hokuto sat holding Aiko in her lap. Subaru had busied about making tea. Kakyou was keeping an eye on the twins (both his own and his nephew and niece) who were playing with Mystic in the playroom.

"Fuuma will be fine, stop pacing. You're upsetting the house plant."

Kamui wanted to glare at his brother-in-law but giving the grief and stress Subaru was under he chose to bite his tongue.

A few seconds later there was a loud bang in the room below them. On instinct Kamui and Seishirou's wands were out.

"WHY DO THEY EVEN HAVE THAT DOORBELL?!"

An eruption of laughter filled the room as the wands were put away. No sooner had Fuuma emerged from the basement Kamui had attached himself to him. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine…I have a confession to make Seishirou."

"This ought to be good, what is it this time?"

"I went to see our mother…"

"And?"

"You were right…there's definitely a Horcrux."

"Figured as much."

"So we know it's just one Horcrux otherwise she'd be less human than she is. The question is, where is it?" Subaru had emerged with the tea.

"The more important question is what is it?"

"She's killed too many people to possibly narrow it down; she's horrible." At this comment Seishirou raised his eyebrow.

"YOU'RE DIFFERENT SEI-CHAN!"

"I think the only person she killed that wasn't a job was Kotori."

"So your sister. Did she go off that night?"

"I dunno, Dad dragged me off; Seishirou stayed tho—"

"It's me."

"Sei-chan?'

"Sei-kun?"

"I'm the Horcrux. I got hit with the curse in my eye that night. It's why she can control me. I'm the Horcrux."
