AND WE'RE BACK!
It's been a while hasn't it? Roughly it's been 2 months since I've uploaded this story and after that I either started a new story or updated another one. You guys might be wondering why I didn't upload this in a while and let me explain…
I lost motivation. That's it. Not only that but I was bombarded with exams every other week that I had no time and during the days where I did have time, I wasn't in the mood to update, but now here we are, 2 months later with a new update. I hope you guys enjoy this modified chapter.
In Ben's point of view, the teleportation from Galvan Prime was instant. In a flash of blue lightning, he was in Azmuth's lab and in the next moment he was in a forest. It was clearly night time due to the dark sky and as he looked up, he saw the moon shining bright down. It was clear that he was in Remnant with the cracked moon being a dead giveaway. Now that he was here, it was time to make his next objective.
"Find a girl named Ruby Rose and protect her," Ben said, "if only I knew where she was. Finding her would be like trying to find a needle in a haystack."
He wasn't kidding. Trying to find one girl on a planet that was similar to Earth was perhaps impossible.
"She could be anywhere. If only Gwen and Kevin were here, they could-," Ben began to say before pausing as the sudden wave of realization hit him.
Tears began to fall down Ben's face, but he wiped them away with his sleeve.
"They're gone...I'm all alone. There is nothing I can do...Dammit Ben! Get a hold of yourself!" Ben thought.
Ben took a few deep breaths and began to calm down. This would be a common occurrence where sometimes during his missions, he would wish for his best friend and cousin to help him, but he would always forget that they were dead and he blames no one for himself.
Azmuth and Paradox found Remnant for him as a second chance to help him get out of his funk. He spent the past 2 years in isolation in his room back in Galvan Prime, the only human he interacted with was Paradox, but as he was a time walker, he didn't really count, but for the first time in 2 years, he has a chance to hang out with and help humanity. He wasn't gonna let the past stop him.
"If only I knew where to start. She could literally be anywhere," Ben said.
Ben's thoughts were cut short when he heard a sound of multiple crashes and gunfire. He immediately perked his head up and ran towards the sound of the source.
As Ben was running through the forest, he had to brush off the excess leaves and branches that were in his way. The sound of the crashes and gunfire were getting louder and louder as he ran telling him that he was getting near.
He stopped when he saw a village that was clearly abandoned. There was no one in sight, the buildings were damaged and claw marks were everywhere.
He began to scour the area, looking for anything that could be the source of the gunfire and the crashes until he heard it coming from the left. He rushed towards that direction and his eyes widened in what he saw.
There were currently 4 kids, 2 guys and 2 girls, all with different weapons fighting against a man in a cloak.
The first girl was fair skinned of average height with black hair with red tips down at the end and silver eyes. She is currently wearing white high neck blouse and a black skirt with red tulle underneath with an overbust corset with a red strip holding it in place.
Around her waist was a belt full of ammunition for her weapon Crescent Rose and has brown straps around her blouse that allowed her to carry a small brown backpack.
She wore black combat boots with red soles, a pair of thigh high stockings reaching a few inches below her skirt, decorated by an image of a long stemmed rose, and a tattered cloak around her neck.
She was wielding a giant red scythe that was also apparently a gun.
Ben just blinked at that, not knowing how to react.
As Ben took a closer look at her, he could conclude that this was Ruby Rose, the girl he was assigned to protect. Taking out the picture that Paradox gave him, he first looked at the girl who he thought was Ruby and the girl in the picture and indeed, they were an exact match. She was indeed Ruby Rose.
She and her friends were currently struggling against this unknown man.
The second girl was a girl with orange hair and blue-green eyes.
She was wearing a white sleeveless turtleneck top, decorated by a cut out heart shape in a diagonal angle with an open cropped, short-sleeved navy blue bomber jacket with a damaged print of a hammer with lightning bolts. On the back and pink stripes along the sleeves alongside pink buckled cuffs. and red lining on the collar with a pink skirt with two wide belt loops for matching belt.
She also has a pair of pink fingerless gloves, knee high pink socks, and white calf length boots.
She was currently wielding a giant hammer.
The next person was a blonde that was rather tall, standing at 6'1" and has blue eyes.
He currently wears a black hoodie, with most of the parts covered by a pure white chestplate. He has black gloves with gold-colored metal armor plates over his fingers, and a red sash around his waist.
He wears brown laced boots and a brown belt around his waist and was wielding a simple sword and shield, but Ben could tell from afar that despite the simple looking weapon, it had an ancient aura surrounding it. Despite not being an expert mana reader like his cousin Gwen, Ben was no novice.
The final guy looked asisn.
He is a young man of average height, standing at 5'9", with long flowing black hair with a bit of magenta streak on the left side of his hair and has an unusual eye color of pink.
His outfit consists of a sleeveless tailcoat with black and silver trimmings.
Under it, he wore a black, sleeveless turtleneck with red, tasseled ropes over his hips, pants that seemed to get tighter below his knees, and black open toed sandals.
On both arms from his middle fingers to his biceps were a pair of gradient pink to black detached sleeves ending in metal armbands.
His weapons were a pair of green sickle looking like blades that was also apparently a gun?
Seriously what is up with these people and their weapons also being a gun?
Pushing the thoughts to the side, he can clearly see that despite having the number advantage, the man has them completely outclassed in skill. His strength, speed, and durability was way beyond their league.
His analysis came to an abrupt halt when he saw the man kick Ruby away and sent her crashing into the ground a few meters away.
The man slowly stalked up towards Ruby, her eyes widening in fear as she saw his now revealed scorpion tail was about to pierce her.
Ben's eyes widened as they were on the back foot. Ruby was currently at his mercy and her friends were looking on in shock and were too exhausted to move.
Knowing that the decision he made right now was either certain life or death for Ruby, he spared no time. He thought about the alien that he wanted and Ben was engulfed in a bright green light.
A couple minutes earlier...
Ruby and her friends, the former members of Team JNPR, were about to make their next move when they were ambushed by an unknown force.
His intentions were made clear that he was after Ruby as his "queen" had business with her. She and her team refused, sparking their battle…
Which only lasted for 3 seconds.
This strange newcomer was no pushover by any means, being able to easily dodge, deflect, and block all of their attacks with seemingly minimal effort.
He was also able to block a strike from Nora Valkyrie who was amped by Ruby by using her semblance when she shot a round of lightning dust at her.
Despite the temporary powerup, it was null and void as this mysterious newcomer blocked it with just his tail. Quite casually if we can say.
Everyone was shocked at this performance. It wasn't everyday for them to see someone block an attack from Nora while amped up by her Semblance.
Using their moment of shock against them, Tyrian quickly sent Nora back with a combo of 2 kicks before jumping up and flipped to the nearest roof, discarding his coat in the process.
Getting a good look at their attacker, their attacker was a man in his late 30s. He has pale skin with tons of scars revealing his decades of hardship battles, his long brown hair braided into what resembles a scorpion's tail. He dons a white sleeveless jacket that left his chest exposed with leather belts, white pants, and brown leather boots that covered his entire shin with knee guards. His weapon of choice is a pair of folding blades that resembles a scorpion's pincer.
"He's a faunus!" Ren shouts in realization.
"Why are you after me? Does this have to do with Roman Torchwick?! The White Fang?!" Ruby asked.
The newcomer simply cackled manically.
"Oh please! As if I were to work and serve for such pests! My body and soul only belongs to our goddess." The unknown man said, taking a dramatic bow.
Ruby's face morphed into anger, seemingly knowing who this "goddess" is.
"Cinder," Ruby growled.
This comment only earned a laugh from the crazy new comer.
"Only in her dreams...As if I were to for a downcast like her," The newcomer said.
And with that, the unknown man charged, completely taking Ruby and the others off guard.
The mysterious man landed besides Ruby and used his tail to swipe at Ruby, which luckily was blocked by her weapon, but that strike was so powerful that it left her momentarily open for an attack, but this time Ruby caught herself.
Growling in frustration, Ruby went to attack and slash him with Crescent Rose, but the mysterious man used his superior speed to immediately go for a roundhouse kick, which she was lucky enough to dodge, and quickly went on the offense and went for an upwards slash, but the man easily dodged, and quickly sent her flying back with a slash with his weapon.
Not wanting to lose momentum, the unknown man immediately charged at Ren and went to stab him with his tail, which he was luckily able to dodge. He was unfortunately not lucky enough to dodge an uppercut that stunned him momentarily and a kick by the unknown man knocked him away.
Jaune and Nora charged at him from opposite sides, but the man again effortlessly blocked their attacks and knocked them away, before rushing after Ruby.
In a distance, a black bird that resembled a crow, the same crow that was following them, quickly flew towards them, flying as fast as it could.
Back in the battle scene, the unknown man was seen slashing at Ruby, one swipe after another, which Ruby was able to block using Crescent Rose, but he was eventually was able to overwhelm her and some of his slashes were able to go through, taking a chunk of her aura in the process.
Eventually, he was able to send her flying back back by swatting her with his tail. He quickly ran to where she was supposed to land and kicked her back, her aura again taking the hit.
Ruby crashed onto the floor, her weapon landing elsewhere.
The man stalked towards her, a crazy grin on his face. Everyone else stared in shock, not knowing what to do.
As this was happening, the crow landed nearby in an entrance and kept flying. In a blink of an eye, the crow somehow transformed into a man, who landed awkwardly. Fortunately, he was able to get his footing, maintain his balance, and kept running.
Unfortunately, his shoelaces were untied, causing him to step on them and trip over, making him fall on his face.
"Damn it! Curse my semblance!" the man cursed inwardly before, running towards the man and Ruby.
The man kept running as fast as he could, but knew that he wasn't going to make it, but he would be damned if he didn't do anything about it.
The unknown man stood over Ruby, a crazy grin spreading across his face.
Ruby clutched her stomach in pain before looking up to see the man's tail up and ready to stab her.
Jaune, Nora, and Ren looked on shocked, their bodies not being able to move.
"This can't be happening...First Pyrrha and now Ruby? Not again." Jaune thought, tears streaming down his face.
The unknown man grinned maniacally, loving the fear in the girl's eyes. His tail was slowly inching towards her face before he reeled it back and aimed it towards her eyes at a fast pace.
Ruby looked away, closing her eyes.
Jaune, Nora, and Ren looked away as well, not wanting to see their friend killed.
The man that was a bird earlier ran as fast as he could, but stopped knowing either way, the girl was gonna get seriously hurt. He too looked away.
If none of them were looking away or if the man wasn't so keen on piercing Ruby, they would have noticed an emerald green light flash off in the distance.

CLANG!
"AAAAHHHHHHHH!"
Instead of hitting what he presumed was flesh, he felt his tail hit something hard. He screamed as a result of the sudden impact.
The man clutched his tail in pain, trying to ease the pain before looking towards the girl. His eyes widened to see a pale green crystal wall, standing in his way.
"What the bloody hell?! Where did this come from? This was never there!" the man thought, his hands still clenching his tail.
Ruby waited for the pain.
The others waited for the sound of flesh piercing and her scream of agony.
It never came. Okay, while they heard a scream in agony, the scream wasn't high pitched enough to be hers.
Ruby looked up slowly, while Jaune, Ren, Nora, and the mystery man that tried to intervene looked in her direction. What they saw had their eyes widen in surprise.
They saw a pale green crystal wall that blocked the man from stabbing Ruby. Ruby was still fine while the scorpion faunus was clutching his tail in pain.
They all had the same thoughts running through their minds.
"Where did that come from?"
They were about to get their answer.
As the unknown attacker continued to clutch his tail in pain, he noticed a shadow forming aboving him. Looking up, he saw an unknown figure that was descending towards him. The others noticed this too and their eyes widened in shock at this unknown figure.
Acting quickly, the unknown attacker backflipped to avoid getting squashed and the others looked away and shielded their eyes from the dust that formed when the figure crashed down.
Everyone looked up towards the source of the crash and all of their eyes (A/N: And when I mean everyone I mean everyone, even Tyrian) widened and their jaws dropped towards the floor.
Standing in front of Ruby was a figure they had never seen before. The figure's body looked humanoid and stood at about 7 feet tall. His entire body, composed of durable pale green crystals. It's body, torso, and the top of its head consisted of indigo crystals, despite having tiny black holes all over it, it also looked extremely durable. 6 crystal shards were shrouded on its back and 2 of them on its chest. The unknown creature's eyes glowed a bright green and a strange symbol, representing the shape of an hourglass, was on its chest.
Everyone, including the unknown attacker, looked at the creature in shock. The unknown attacker was the first to quickly regain his composure.
"Who or what in Remnant are you?" the unknown attacker, voicing everyone's thought.
Despite the situation, RNJR and the man nearby also were curious on who this creature was? Who was he and why did he save Ruby?
The creature merely stared at the unknown attacker.
"Who I am is none of your business, but you can call me Diamondhead," the unknown creature said in a deep metallic voice, introducing himself.
The unknown attacker, upon hearing of the name, laughed maniacally. The others, including the man near them also chuckled at the name. Although despite how silly the name was, they could see the resemblance. It seemed as though his skin was mostly diamond.
"Diamondhead? I have never heard of such a ridiculous name. I have never seen you or any of your kind in Remnant. Please tell me: why are you here and why did you save this girl?" the unknown attacker asked.
"Who I am and why I'm here is none of your concern," the creature now known as "Diamondhead" said, "but listen whoever you are, this is your only chance on walking away, or else I'll guarantee you that whatever happens to you won't be pretty."
The unknown attacker again laughed.
"Why my dear friend, my name is Tyrian and I'm here to whisk this girl away. My goddess has her orders and it would be disheartening for me to simply disobey her." the man known as "Tyrian" now said.
"Goddess?" Ruby asked confusingly.
The mystery man was about to answer and make himself known, but someone else beat him to it.
"Salem," Diamondhead said.
This statement made the mystery man look at Diamondhead in shock while Tyrian in amusement.
"So this creature knows our goddess. Clearly he's from around here. Oh how wait until my goddess hears this." Tyrian thought with glee.
"This creature knows about Salem?! That's not possible! No one knows about Salem except for her and Ozpin's inner circle. How the heck does this unknown creature know about Salem?!" The man thought in shock
"My, my...so you know about our goddess. Then surely you know that I can't simply walk away." Tyrian said in a fake somber tone.
"I gave you a chance to walk away...don't say I didn't warn you when I beat you to a bloody pulp." Diamondhead said and morphed his right arm into a long blade.
This made everyone's eyes widen in shock at such a feat.
Tyrian quickly recomposed himself and laughed before charging in a burst of speed.
Diamondhead followed, charging towards the lunatic.
They clashed, Tyrian with his weapon with his pincers and Diamondhead with his right arm that was a sword. The clash was even, but Diamondhead was holding back immensely. As they were clashing, Diamondhead casually began to overpower Tyrian.
Noticing this and knowing that he's not gonna beat this creature known as "Diamondhead" in a direct assault, he began to change his approach.
"He's strong. Perhaps in the same league as Hazel and I. Looks like I'm gonna need to hit him fast and hard." Tyrian theorized.
Quickly losing ground, Tyrian shifted his weapons into gun mode and fired, which Diamondhead was quickly able to block.
This caused enough time for Tyrian to slip away. He landed right behind Diamondhead and went to slash at him, but instead slashed at another crystal wall.
Getting confused, he paused and looked for a moment to see that another crystal wall sprouted behind Diamondhead. He saw that Diamondhead's left hand was pointing upwards and summoned a crystal wall to defend that strike.
Tyrian quickly jumped away, with a backflip.
"So...not only can you shapeshift your body into weapons, but you can also summon crystal walls. Clearly, that crystal wall that prevented me from stabbing that girl was your doing." Tyrian theorized.
Diamondhead merely shrugged and gave a small smile.
"Guilty as charged."
"The more reason why I want YOU DEAD!" Tyrian cried and charged in a burst of speed, attempting to again slash at Diamondhead, but Diamondhead quickly morphed his right sword hand into a shield to block.
Grinning that he fell for it, he quickly zoomed past Diamondhead and was right behind him. He grinned as he went to slash at Diamondhead at his backside.
CLANG!
Instead of hitting him in the back, Diamondhead's left arm casually caught the attack.
This left Tyrian stunned, which Diamondhead quickly used to his advantage. He quickly morphed his right hand into a fist and punched Tyrian directly in the stomach, making him to do a spit take and knock out a good chunk of his aura before sending him back with a backhand with his left that sent him flying back, but he was able to quickly regain his footing.
Knowing that a direct approach won't do anything, he unveiled his weapons into gun mode and began to fire multiple rounds at Diamondhead…

To which he responds by standing there with his arms to his hips with an expression on his face that read "Are you serious?", making Tyrian infuriated, but at the same time excited. Its been awhile since he had a good battle. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity.
RNJR and the mystery man near them looked at the battle at first which was amazed to now amusement at the scene before them. This "Diamondhead" guy just taking the bullets as if it were nothing seemed pretty funny to them. The mystery man as well also thought this was pretty funny.
"What is this creature? I've never seen anything like it." Nora asked in wonder.
"He said that his name was Diamondhead." Ren answered.
"I meant WHAT is he?" Nora clarified.
"That I do not know." Ren replied.
"Who cares!? Do you see him taking those bullets as if its nothing? And that expression on his face. Just look at it!" Ruby shouted in excitement.
The others chuckled, couldn't help to agree to find the scene pretty amusing. The bullets were merely bouncing off of Diamondhead's skin.
"Despite this, I wonder why he's here. And why did he save Ruby?" Jaune asked.
"That's a question I'm trying to figure out," a voice beside them said.
Ruby, Jaune, Nora, and Ren jerked their heads towards the source of the voice. Jaune, Nora, and Ren in caution and ready to battle and Ruby in excitement.
They turned their heads to see a middle aged man that had disheveled black hair and red eyes. He was wearing a sleeveless white dress shirt paired up with black pants and matching black dress shoes. A giant sword was on his back.
Jaune, Nora, and Ren were confused at this newcomer and got ready to fight until they felt something zip past them.
"UNCLE QROW!" Ruby cried, rushing towards her uncle and tackling him in a hug.
"Hey kiddo," Qrow chuckled, "it's been awhile."
"What are you doing here Uncle Qrow?" Ruby asked while getting off her uncle.
"When I saw that you were about to be stabbed, I came running as fast I could, but on my way, my shoelaces got untied and I tripped. I quickly…" Qrow began to say before he heard a snicker.
He looked towards his niece to see Ruby trying to hold down a laugh, but was failing miserably. Her 3 friends doing the same.
"HEY! Not my fault that my shoes were untied and this isn't funny. I was trying to save my niece's life." Qrow shouted, defending himself of this embarrassment.
It didn't do all good as RNJR all started to burst out laughing. Even the usual stoic Ren was cracking up.
Qrow sighed in defeat before trying to change the subject.
"ANYWAY...I'm curious to know who this 'Diamondhead' guy is." Qrow said.
The others stopped laughing, although there were still chuckling, much to Qrow's dismay.
"I don't know. He just appeared out of nowhere. Have you ever seen him Uncle Qrow?" Ruby asked.
"I can't say that I have Ruby. During my many years on doing missions, I have never seen a creature like that." Qrow replied.
The 4 of them began to think about who this "Diamondhead" creature could be before shifting their attention back towards his fight with Tyrian.
Back towards the fight between Diamondhead and Tyrian, they were again clashing, but only this time, both of Diamondhead's arms were morphed into daggers.
Every time Tyrian attempted to slash at Diamondhead, Diamondhead was easily able to counter his attacks.
Tyrian once tried to go for a slash towards his legs, thinking it won't be as durable, but Diamondhead quickly did a backflip to dodge and attempted to stab Tyrian with his right hand that was a dagger, but fortunately Tyrian was able to block it using his tail.
Unfortunately, Diamondhead thought quickly and shifted his right arm back into a hand and grabbed it.
Tyrian's eyes widened. He quickly attempted to break free, but Diamondhead had an iron grip to his tail. Diamondhead quickly tossed the faunus over his head and slammed him into the ground, leaving a human sized crater, making him do a spit take. He wasn't about to stop. Diamondhead again, quickly lifted Tyrian by the tail over his head and quickly slammed him to the other size, leaving another human sized crater. Diamondhead began to do this repeatedly. Tyrian's screams of agony roared throughout the village.
RNJR and Qrow all flinched at the brutality.
"Remind me to never make him mad." Jaune said quietly.
The others nodded, not wanting to receive the brutal punishment Tyrian was currently receiving.
After slamming Tyrian for the 8th time, Diamondhead tossed the faunus into a building, making him crash inside.
Not giving a chance for him to recover, Diamondhead quickly charged towards the building that Tyrian crashed into and went inside the hole.
As he was inside, he noticed that it was pitch black. He morphed his hands into daggers again and slowly looked around, waiting for the slightest sound or movement. There was none for a minute until he heard a gunshot behind him.
Diamondhead quickly turned around to block, but felt nothing. That was when he heard creaking from above to see the ceiling coming down towards him.
The bullet wasn't for him, but it was to cave the entire building on him.
Tyrian from afar quickly jumped out of the building, a wide smile across his face as he was certain that even a creature of that magnitude couldn't survive a building crushing on top of him.
He landed on his feet and looked back towards RNJR who were staring at him warily and had their weapons drawn. To his surprise he saw Qrow Branwen standing in front of them protectively, his hands on his weapon.
"My, my. If it isn't Qrow Branwen. A true Huntsman has joined the fray." Tyrian said with relief.
"Look buddy, I don't care who you are and who you work for, but you're going to leave my niece alone." Qrow said, readying his weapon.
"Oh well, if I can't persuade you to step aside then perhaps I'll have to force you." Tyrian said.
"You can try. Facing that Diamondhead guy and what he did to you, your aura has to be dangerously low if not gone. Walk away while you still can." Qrow warned.
This only made Tyrian chuckle.
"For you to think that I would walk away when I am this close. Not a chance. That 'Diamondhead' guy knew the consequences when he dares oppose the-"
Whatever Tyrian was about to say was cut off when he heard the sound of a metallic crash and rumbling behind him. Turning around, he saw Diamondhead getting up from the wreckage of the building. Not even a single scratch could be seen in his body.
"Well...I got to admit, that was a clever trick, and while that may have worked on a Grimm or perhaps a Huntsman, know that I have survived much worse." Diamondhead said.
Growling in frustration, Tyrian readied his weapons and charged, attempting to find a way, some way to defeat this creature, but whatever he tried, this diamondhead guy was easily able to counter or easily take.
Diamondhead responded by punching the ground and a wave of green diamonds burst from the ground, much to the shock of RNJR and Qrow that he was able to do this, which took Tyrian off guard by surprise. His eyes widened in shock and he was about to jump back, but the speed of the crystals that was coming at him was way too fast and had no time.
Luckily, since he stopped himself, he only hit by a part of the diamonds and not all of it, but it still hurt and made him cough up a little blood.
He landed back on his feet, albeit dazed and looked around to search for Diamondhead, but he was nowhere to be found.
That was when he noticed a shadow under him. Knowing what was going on, Tyrian again jumped back from being crushed and instead of charging towards him, he began to run circles around him, using his speed to try and throw Diamondhead off guard and look for any openings.
Diamondhead stayed calmed as his eyes began to follow Tyrian. Taking a deep breath, he closed his eyes and began to concentrate.
Seeing that his eyes were closed, Tyrian immediately used this opportunity to land a strike to the back of its neck.
Diamondhead was prepared for this and easily dodged the attack.
Tyrian quickly again went on the offensive, slashing with precision that would kill, but again Diamondhead easily countered and parried with his arms.
Noticing that the green parts of its skin was very durable, Tyrian attempted to slash at his torso, where he noticed that it was made of purple rock, not diamonds, so surely this must do something….
Right?
Wrong.
Diamondhead made no attempt to block it.
Tyrian was confused by this action, but he wasn't gonna complain. As his weapon made contact with his torso, instead of a crack or a clean swipe, there again was a loud "CLANG".
Tyrian's weapons harmlessly bounced off the purple rocks of Diamondhead's torso.
"Even the purple parts of his body are impenetrable?!" Tyrian thought in shock.
Tyrian immediately backed off and gave himself a good distance between himself and Diamondhead.
Diamondhead, not wanting for him to run away, immediately charged towards him, this time going into the offensive.
Diamondhead again morphed his hands into daggers and rushed towards Tyrian, going for a stab at his chest to which Tyrian blocked the blade end of his weapons.
Diamondhead then quickly shapeshifts his right dagger into a fist and reeled it back and goes for a punch to Tyrian's face where he barely had enough time to dodge.
Tyrian backflipped away and charged in with his weapons. He attempted to slash him, this time, going for a vital area, but it ended in the same result of Diamondhead blocking with his left arm.
Noticing that both his hands were currently occupied, Tyrian used his tail to aim a stab at his neck. Despite not being able to block, Diamondhead was able to evade the tail stab by simply moving his head to the side.
Diamondhead then pushed Tyrian back and did a frontflip, aiming a punch to Tyrian's face which again he evaded.
Tyrian quickly regained his footing and again shot many rounds at Diamondhead, to which he promptly blocked with his right hand.
This again made Tyrian growl in anger. Stopping his shooting, he began to run away. This unknown creature, despite not wanting to admit it, was way out of his league. As this creature was both powerful and agile, Hazel was someone who has a better shot against this creature.
Not wanting for him to escape, Diamondhead raises his hand and summons a giant diamond wall that stopped Tyrian right in his tracks.
Diamondhead then jumped into the air and dove straight for the scorpion faunus and went for a punch to which Tyrian again evaded by jumping out of the way, but this time Diamondhead was prepared. As Tyrian jumped to evade the earth shattering punch, Diamondhead quickly used his other hand to grab the leg of Tyrian and began to slam him into the ground, unfortunately, this was something Tyrian also prepared for.
Not wanting for his aura to shatter, Tyrian raised his weapons and fired a bullet towards Diamondhead's face which took him by surprise, causing him to drop Tyrian.
Using this opportunity, Tyrian rushed towards RNJR, Qrow proceeded to intercept, but Tyrian was able to roll right under his legs.
He made an attempt to grab Ruby. The others, not quick enough to react couldn't do anything.
Just as he was about to touch Ruby, he felt a sudden pain on his left side that sent him flying back meters away.
RNJR and Qrow recovered from their shock and looked to see what happened.
They saw a green diamond that erupted from the ground in the shape of a fist. Turning back towards where Diamondhead was, they saw that he had his fists on the ground.
Despite the dirty trick, Diamondhead was quickly able to recover and prevent Tyrian from attempting to kidnap Ruby.
Tyrian slowly gets up, clutching his entire body in pain. His aura was dangerously low and he was livid.
"You steaming pile of junk! Why won't you stay down!" Tyrian cried in fury.
"I gave you a chance to walk away and you blew it. Also, if you weren't paying attention, you would have noticed that all of your attacks, even your tail weren't able to even cut me. This is a fight you can't win. Despite that clever trick of bringing down that entire building towards me and the dirty trick of shooting me in the face, you still made no progress. I warned you that should you persist, I would beat you into a bloody pulp. Don't say I didn't warn you." Diamondhead told him.
Screaming in a fury, Tyrian in his rage fired his weapons towards Diamondhead, this action making RNJR and Qrow to roll their eyes at this futile attempt.
Instead of doing nothing or blocking like last time, Diamondhead fires back, much to the shock of everyone, by raising his arms towards Tyrian and firing a valley of crystal shard projectiles.
The bullets and crystal shard began to hit one another in a stalemate, but eventually, some of the crystal projectiles began to overpower Tyrian's bullets and this led to some hitting Tyrian, which effectively broke his aura.
Tyrian cried out in pain and in shock to see that his aura broke.
Seeing that his aura broke, Diamondhead immediately charged at Tyrian.
Tyrian attempted to run away, but couldn't due to the immense feeling of pain around his body caused by Diamondhead.
Diamondhead quickly grabbed Tyrian by the throat and landed a right hook across his jaw, breaking it in the process. Blood splattered everywhere and looking behind, RNJR and Qrow all visibly flinched.
Diamondhead didn't stop there as he repeatedly threw multiple punches across Tyrian's face, his face getting bloodier and more of a mess.
Diamondhead then kneed him in the gut, which promptly made Tyrian to spit out blood.
Everyone looked on at the brutality.
"Uncle Qrow, should we stop Diamondhead?" Ruby asked.
"And risk yourself being on the receiving end of that? No. I also forbid you to try to stop him as well. This Diamondhead guy even warned Tyrian to back off, but he didn't listen." Qrow said.
The others nodded and eventually, Ruby couldn't help but agree.
As Tyrian struggled to get up, Diamondhead looked at him with no remorse in his eyes, before setting his sights on his tail.
He grabbed his tail. Tyrian tried to struggle, but it was futile. With Diamondhead's immense strength and him being in so much pain, he could barely move his body without aching.
Diamondhead morphed his right hand into a giant blade.
Ruby whistled.
"Now that's a katana," she said.
Everyone turned towards her incredulously.
Ruby stared back confused.
"What?" she asked innocently.
Everyone just groaned and looked back toward the carnage.
Without a moment's hesitation, Diamondhead cleaved his tail off, making him scream in pain.
"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!" Tyrian cried out in pain.
Tyrian grabbed the remains of his tail and screamed in agony.
Diamondhead silenced him by grabbing his face and smashing it into the ground, creating massive amounts of dust and also creating a crater.
RNJR and Qrow shielded their eyes from the dust.
The groans of Tyrian could be heard, indicating that he was indeed alive, but still in pain.
As the dust settled, they saw Tyrian crawling out of the crater and struggling to get back on his feet, his chance of escape was foiled when he turned around and he came face to face with the towering figure of Diamondhead.
Diamondhead glared daggers at Tyrian that made him flinch in fear, something he hasn't felt in a long time.
He was afraid that he would die right then and there until a voice broke him out of his thought.
"Get out," Diamondhead said.
Tyrian snapped out of his daze and looked up to face Diamondhead.
"Did you not hear me? I said get out. I'm not in the mood of dealing with the likes of you. After today, you better hope that we never meet again or else I won't be as merciful this time. You understand?"
Tyrian could do nothing, but nod and quickly scampered away.
Diamondhead looked off into the distance and saw his figure retreat into the darkness. When he was sure that he was long gone, he sighed.
"Well, can't believe that worked." Diamondhead said.
He then turned towards the attention of RNJR along with a man he had never seen before, looking at him with their eyes wide and jaws dropped to the ground.. Wanting to sound friendly, he raised his right arm in a greeting gesture.
"Hello," he greeted.
This led to everyone fall back over in shock. The man quickly got back up and drew his weapon.
"I don't know who you are pal, but I highly recommend you to leave right now." the man warned.
Despite his warnings, inside, he was deeply trembling. This creature effortlessly defeated an unknown faction of Salem and didn't even take any damage. He didn't want to admit it, but not even he could defeat such a creature.
"Uncle Qrow."
The sound of Ruby's voice jolted him awake. He turned to face his niece.
"What is it?" he asked.
"Drop your weapon," Ruby told him.
Qrow's eyes widened in shock.
"You want me to what now?! No way! You saw what he did to Tyrian! I'm not taking any chances!" Qrow shouted
"If he wanted us dead, he would have done so by now!" Ruby shot back.
This reply made Qrow flinch. Ruby never talked back to him, not even to Yang. What changed?
"I gotta agree with Ruby on this one. He saved Ruby's life twice. I'd say that's more than enough to trust him." Jaune chimed in, signaling what he said with quotation marks with his fingers.
"I think we can trust him," Ren said.
Nora nodded.
Seeing that he was outnumbered, Qrow with a groan sheathed his weapon.
Ruby, carefully went up to Diamondhead.
"Thanks for saving me," Ruby thanked the creature.
"Don't mention it. Just did what anyone else would do." Diamondhead replied.
"Where did you come from?" Jaune asked.
This promptly made Diamondhead sigh.
"You know that my name is currently Diamondhead right?" he asked them.
Everyone nodded. They heard the creature say his name to Tyrian, but something he said caught them off guard.
"Wait a minute, what do you mean by 'currently'?" Ren asked.
"Try not to freak out," Diamondhead said, confusing them.
Diamondhead tapped the hourglass symbol on his chest. A bright green light engulfed him, making everyone shield their eyes at the bright light.
"What's going on?!" Qrow shouts in worry.
"I don't know!" Ruby shouted back.
As the bright green light subsided everyone removed their hands from their eyes and when they looked up to see Diamondhead, their jaws dropped to the floor.
Standing in the usual place of Diamondhead was now a teenage boy around their age, 18 or so. He had disheveled messy brown hair, slight tan skin, and bright emerald eyes that seemed somewhat hollow and devoid of any emotion, like he suffered greatly in his life.
He had a plain attire of jeans, a tight black T-Shirt with a green sports jacket with the number "10" on the left side of his chest, and black and white sneakers.
The most bizzare thing he was currently wearing was a green device that resembled a gauntlet on his left wrist. It had a strange hourglass shape in the center.
Tea RNJR and Qrow's eyes widened slightly as they realized that that was the same symbol the Diamondhead creature had on his chest.
Ben slightly chuckled at their confusion, being used to it but never getting old.
"My name is Ben Tennyson, nice to meet you," Ben said, introducing himself.
Their eyes and jaws remained as they all fainted from the shock of what they had just witnessed.
"This is gonna be another long story." he thought facepalming.

The part where Ben makes a BS story of his past was completely unnecessary and stupid, I know, thats why I had him join when Tyrian ambushed them and in the next chapter Ben will be explaining his backstory, but of course in a sense where its believable and no its not a prolonged one like the one before. It'll just be some brief mention here and there. I apologize for the long wait and I'll see you guys next time.

Chapter 2-A Vague Story
