Margaret lifted up her purse, "It's just for the afternoon. I'm not sure how long these daycare things take but it should be not that long"
The blue jay nodded, "Alright…so what's this for again?"
"The kindergarten class is now taking names for next year. I have to enroll Rosie" Margaret gave him a kiss, "Just pick up Rosie from her appointment and you'll be with them until six"
"So basically a Daddy-Daughter day" Mordecai answered.
The cardinal laughed, kissing him, "Yes. If Alice starts crying, formula's in the fridge" She gave him another kiss then headed out the door, "I love you"
"I love you too" Mordecai smiled, he headed upstairs to check on Alice. He creaked her door open only to smile, she was laying in her crib, having a conversation with her stuffed animals, "Wah a bah bah!" She giggled at the response.
He chuckled, "Hi Allie"
Alice turned her head and stared at him with a growing smile, "A bah bah!"
Mordecai walked into the room and hoisted her up, "Good morning Allie" He carried her out of the room and turned to the clock, "Alright. We have to pick up Rosie"
Alice grabbed her father's beak and cooed, "Dah"
The blue jay laughed, heading out to the car, "Alright. Let's go" He sat her in her car-seat. "Can you say Rosie?"
"Bah bah!" She giggled, shaking her hands.
Mordecai closed the door and got in the driver's seat. "I hope she's making some progress"
Trauma Therapy:
Mordecai walked through the halls with Alice in his wing, he found a nurse, "Hey can you help me find Rosaline Mavis's room?"
She nodded, "You must be Rosie's father. The progress screening is over here" She led him to a different hallway, then to a big room.
Just like the hospital, there was a big window that you could see into the room, Mordecai held Alice and pointed, "See Rosie?"
Alice cooed then pointed as well, "Wah!"
The nurse smiled, "That's too cute. Was this child involved with the accident too?"
"Yes…but she doesn't remember" He looked at her, "she's only four months old"
She nodded then looked out the window, Mordecai smiled at what he saw:
"So Rosaline, what can you tell us about your family?" Her doctor, Dr. Cress asked.
Rosie sat Katie Mordy down, "I have a daddy…a mama…and a baby sistah" She got up and walked to the toy bin.
"No Rosaline. We need to answer more questions" He ordered.
Mordecai smiled, it was too cute. Rosie didn't want to answer questions, she wanted to play.
Dr. Cress headed over to the window and clicked a button, "I'll try using drawing Kendall"
The nurse clicked the button, "Great idea Roger"
Mordecai turned to Kendall, "So…how's Rosie doing?"
"Well. She's doing a little bit better then when she came to the hospital" Kendall smiled, "That's some progress comparing to the other children in her age group"
Dr. Cress pulled out some paper and markers, "Rosaline…draw your family" He handed her paper.
Rosie picked up the markers and dumped them out, "Blue! Red!" She drew her parents. She picked up blue again and doodled Alice, she dropped the blue and picked up the red, "Put back" She shoved the markers to Dr. Cress and drew her aunt Daphne, Nana and Pappy. "Done"
Dr. Cress wrote something on his clipboard, "Ok" He then pointed at the blue doodle, "Who's he?"
"Dats Daddy, dats Mama, dats Allie, dats" She pointed to different people, "Dats Nana and Pappy and dats me and dats Auntie Daphne"
Dr. Cress looked at his watch, "Ok it's time to go Rosaline"
Rosie picked up Katie Mordy and headed out of the room, Kendall led Mordecai to meet her.
Mordecai headed down the hall and smiled, "Rosie"
"DADDY!" She ran into his wings, "I dew dis for you and Mama"
"It looks awesome.." He chuckled, "Wait…why do I have sharp teeth?"
Rosie giggled, "You're da jungle monster" She pointed, "See deres vines and leaves"
He nodded, "Oh I see." He took her hand, "Alright say goodbye to everyone"
Rosie waved, "Bye bye Doctor" She carried Katie Mordy out, "Daddy. Can we get ice-cream?"
"Sure. I don't see why not" They got into the car and drove.
Mordecai found a place and pulled over, he helped Alice out of the car, "Rosie. C'mon" He took her hand.
They walked up only for a man to flip the sign, "We're closed"
Rosie looked up, "So-wee we're closed…?" She looked up, "what does dat mean Daddy?"
Mordecai glared, "Dude. C'mon my kid is barely four, one ice-cream"
The man shook his head, "Sorry we close early on Sundays"
He asked, getting agitated, "At noon?"
"Yes.." The man replied, "Its just our policy"
Mordecai glared, checking his phone, "It just turned noon. C'mon"
"Sorry. There's nothing I can do" The man walked away.
Rosie looked up, "Daddy…what happened?"
The blue jay sighed, "The place isn't open. They don't have any ice-cream"
"Oh no…" She looked at him, "Where's dere ice-cream?"
Mordecai shrugged, "It's ok I have an idea" He walked the girls back to the car.
"Daddy. Does this mean deres no ice-cream" Rosie asked, putting a seatbelt on Katie Mordy.
The blue jay closed the door and hopped in the car, "No, don't worry about ice-cream. I got it"
The market:
Mordecai helped the girls out of the car, "Ok. This is my plan" They headed inside.
"NO!" Rosie screamed.
The blue jay sighed, Rosie now had a horrid fear about going places, "Fuck you Henry" He muttered then kneed down, "Rosie, there's nothing to be scared of. People who are in there are nice people"
"No. Dere not!" She argued, "No! I wanna go home" She worried.
Mordecai groaned, "Rose. Daddy's going to be with you. Nothing bad is going to happen"
Rosie whimpered, "I da know Daddy. What if you get shot!?"
"I'll be here to see you graduate and have babies, and I'll watch you watch them grow. I'm not going anywhere for a very long time" He smiled.
Rosie looked at him, "How long is dat?"
Mordecai counted, "About…" He did the math and smiled, "I'll be here for fifty more years"
A small smile grew, "Ok Daddy.."
The blue jay handed her Katie Mordy, "If you can't find me, just hug Katie Mordy, she'll protect you"
Rosie smiled, hugging her doll, "Yes Daddy"
The minute they went into the store, Rosie started sucking her thumb and grasping Mordecai's jacket. He made his way through to the ice-cream section.
"Alright pick a carton" He opened the door.
Rosie turned and smiled, "Dat one!" She pointed.
Mordecai looked to see a giant carton of ice-cream, he picked it up and sat it in a shopping cart, "Alright. We're gonna need toppings?"
Rosie nodded, running ahead of him, Alice cooed from her seat. "Daddy!" She picked up sprinkles and threw them into the cart.
Mordecai grabbed chocolate and caramel, whip cream placing it in the cart.
Rosie ran down the aisle out of Mordecai's sight, Alice bashed the bottle of caramel against the bar, "One day you're gonna be a drummer" He lifted the bottle and tossed it into the cart. "Silly girl" He tickled her only to see her pajamas, "Mommy's gonna be pissed I didn't change you"
Alice cooed, "A mah" She touched her hair.
"We'll just put you back down for a nap" He chuckled. "She'll never know" He poked her in the belly earning a giggle.
Mordecai looked up, "Rosie?" He didn't see her, "Oh boy"
Rosie walked down the aisles, "Katie Mordy! Look!" She reached for chocolate chips, "I can't!" She jumped up.
She sat Katie Mordy down, and jumped again but she didn't prevail. The little girl jumped up and down only for a little blonde haired boy to grin, "Oh hello little girl! Do you want this?" He lifted the bag of chips.
She nodded, reaching for them, "Dank you"
The little boy placed the chips on the top shelf, "Good luck getting them now"
Rosie hugged her doll, "Daddy said they're all nice people"
"And what's this?" He took Katie Mordy out of her grasp, "Your dolly?"
The red bird began to cry, "Give her back!" She reached for her.
He grinned, "Oh her!" He kissed the doll, "I think I'll keep her"
"No!" She whimpered.
Mordecai found Rosie and glared, "Hey! Why do you have my kid's doll!?"
Another man walked into the aisle, "Hey Joey. There you are"
Joey pointed, "Dad! This man is being mean to me"
Joey's dad became angry, "Why are you talking to my son! You pedophile!"
Mordecai frowned, "Pedophile? No! Your son was being a brat to my kid!"
"She looks nothing like you" Joey's dad glared.
Rosie reached for her doll, "Give me back Katie Mordy!"
Joey looked up at his dad, "She kicked me so I took her doll"
"Rosie doesn't hit people!" Mordecai yelled.
Joey's dad glared, "Are you calling my boy a liar!?"
Rosie chimed, "Daddy's not calling him a truther"
Mordecai sighed, "I'm done with this. Just give my daughter back her doll and we'll let this go"
Joey's dad suddenly narrowed his eyes, "Wait a minute…Mordecai?" He smiled, "Mordecai Quintel?"
"Yea…?" Mordecai asked.
Joey's dad laughed, "Oh wow! It is you! It's me Travis Randall"
Mordecai's eyes widened, "T-Travis"
Travis nodded, "Yeah! Don't you remember?"
Flashback:
Mordecai and his brothers, Nelson and Jeffery were playing in the snow. Mordecai watched his big brothers build snowmans. "Nelson! Can you build me one?" Six year old Mordecai chirped.
The ten year old blue jay looked over, "Fine. But get some rocks for eyes"
Mordecai sped away, to find perfect rocks for his snowman.
Jeffery looked over to see Mordecai had wandered off, "Nelson! He walked into the woods! Mom's gonna be pissed" The thirteen year old scolded, ditching his snowman, "Mordecai!" He ran down the hill.
The younger blue jay found two perfect rocks only to look up and see a blonde haired boy, "Hi" He smiled.
The boy glared, "Can't you read! This is Travis's land"
"Read what?" Mordecai looked around, "I didn't see a sign"
Travis snarled, "I wrote it on my fist" He started walking towards Mordecai, "And to make sure you read it! I'll punch you in the eye"
Mordecai backed up, "W-why would you write it on your fist" He shook in fear.
"So babies like you didn't sneak onto my land" He cracked his knuckles.
"I'm not a baby! I'm six!" Mordecai glared, "I'm a man"
Travis shot a punch straight into Mordecai's stomach, "You sure don't fight like one"
Mordecai groaned, falling down on the snowy ground, "Ow.."
The blonde boy grabbed some snow and forced open Mordecai's beak, "Eat the snow!"
"NO!" Mordecai screamed earning Travis to cram snow into his mouth.
Jeffery and Nelson heard their brother's screams and ran faster, "MORDECAI!"
They found their brother crying and screaming with Travis standing over him. "HEY!" Nelson shouted, picking up rocks, "Leave him alone"
Travis looked up, "Your big brothers are here" He kicked Mordecai in the face earning another scream.
Jeffery glared, walking over to him, "Leave my little brother alone"
Travis laughed, "What are you gonna do?"
Nelson looked around, "Don't do it Jeff"
The thirteen year old reached into his pocket, pulling out a switchblade, he clicked the button showing the blade, "Leave Mordecai alone or I'll make you piss blood"
Travis screamed, running home, "MOMMY! DADDY!"
"What happened to your brother after that?" Travis laughed.
Mordecai frowned looking away, "Just shut up Travis! Now make your kid give my daughter back her doll"
Travis laughed, "Well what's the rush. I wanna know what happened to that freak you called a brother!"
The blue jay glared, "I'd really like you not to call my big brother a freak" He looked at him, "If anyone's a freak. It's you"
Travis smirked, "Alright. If your kid wants her doll so bad she'll have to fight for it"
Rosie looked at Mordecai, "But Daddy…"
Mordecai glared, "That's just sick. You're still a asshole"
Joey laughed, "Looks like I'm keeping your doll" He chimed, then patted her head, "Such a good little baby"
Rosie stared at him, that was always Henry's line:

The market filled with Joey's cries, Rosie snatched her doll then stuck her tongue at him, "Nah nah nana na!" She ran behind her dad, "Let's go Daddy!"
Mordecai lifted her up, "Bye asshole" He pushed the cart away as fast as he could.
Back at home:
Rosie watched her dad scoop at ice-cream for her, "More" Rosie smiled.
Mordecai nodded, "Alright" He scooped more only for Rosie to nod. "More?" He looked at the bowl.
Three large scoops of ice-cream sat, "I want toppings" Rosie smiled.
Mordecai picked up the toppings, "Alright" He scooted the chair to where she could do it herself. "I gotta get Alice out of her pajamas or else Mommy's gonna yell at me" He lifted Alice up, "You got this Rosie?"
She nodded, "Yes Daddy"
Mordecai carried Alice upstairs, "Alright Allie. Let's get you out of your pajamas"
He picked up Alice and laid her down on her diaper changer, "Ok let's get you out of this" He unzipped her footie pajamas and took them off.
Alice smiled at her dad then looked at her hands, "Wah!" She shook them.
Mordecai picked up a new outfit only to see his daughter had wet herself, "Why didn't you say anything? I've been carrying you around all day" He laughed grabbing another diaper, "Honestly, you're full of surprises"
He changed her diaper then reached for the new outfit only to hear a crash from downstairs.
Mordecai shouted, "Rosie! Was that you!?"
"Daddy! Help!" Rosie cried back.
The blue jay picked up Alice and hurried downstairs, "Rosie! Rosie!" He ran into the kitchen to see the young girl covered in chocolate sauce, toppings and her ice-cream bowl sitting on her head.
"I was upstairs for five minutes" He looked around, "How'd you get chocolate sauce everywhere?"
Chocolate sauce, whip cream and caramel sauce decorated the cabinets, walls, table, floor, and the ceiling. "Holy shi-crap Rosie"
Rosie whimpered, "I'm so-wee Daddy"
Mordecai sighed, "You're ok. I shouldn't have been upstairs for too long" He grabbed a sponge, "Get something to clean with"
After hours of cleaning, it tuckered Rosie and Alice out, he carried the girls up only for Rosie to chime, "Daddy. Can you read to us?"
Mordecai sighed, "Sure.." He smiled, sitting on Rosie's bed, letting his daughters get comfy. He picked up a book and laid back, "Once upon a time, a king and a queen had a beautiful daughter.."
Rosie hugged Katie Mordy then listened, "Was she a bird?"
Mordecai sat up, "Hm…" He read the page again, "Doesn't say."
Alice cooed then yawned. Rosie snuggled into her doll's hair.
"But as there was a joyous celebration for the arrival an evil witch appeared" Mordecai read making his voice sound like it was a narrator.
Rosie gasped, "Really!"
The blue jay nodded showing her the pages, it was a drawing of a witch clothed in a black dress, leaning over the cradle, "See"
"Oh no!" Rosie gasped.
Mordecai laughed, then became serious as the story did, "She then cast a spell on the beautiful princess, saying if she wasn't kissed by her true love on her eighteenth birthday, she shall prick her finger and die" He frowned, "Wow this book is really intense"
Rosie looked at him, "Daddy. Will she die?"
"I don't know. I haven't read the book" Mordecai flipped to another page.
Soon enough Rosie fell asleep, he smiled, "Night Rose" He looked at the clock, 7:23. He lifted a sleeping Alice up and gently laid her in her crib. "Night Princess"
Kindergarten enrollments:
Margaret smiled as she talked to the other mothers, "So yea. He puts our daughter to bed then proposes and…" She laughed to herself.
"Well…what did you say?" Justine asked.
Margaret sighed, "I said no…I am technically still married to another man"
"So Mordecai's not Rosie's father?" Heather asked, very shocked at the news.
The cardinal shook her head, "No…Rosie's father.." She bit her lip, "He was a man that would hit then spilt it…but I tracked him down and said I was pregnant. He instantly married me" She lied.
Justine gasped, "So what happened with the marriage?"
"He's in jail," Margaret answered, "And he won't sign the divorce forms"
Heather awed, "You poor woman" She smiled, "Well at least you and Mordecai are happy"
Margaret smiled, "Yea.." She looked at her to see a screensaver of Mordecai and their girls. Mordecai was doing Rosie's makeup to make her look like a fairy while Alice was Spider-girl, sitting next to her father.
Justine smiled, "How old are you again?"
Margaret answered, "I'm twenty-six. I'm turning twenty-seven in a few weeks"
"You were born in November?" Jasmine asked.
The cardinal shook her head, "December. December 1st"
Heather smiled, "We should have a little girls night to celebrate"
Margaret giggled, "Yeah. That'd be fun" She looked at her phone again, "Oh great. It's 8:25! I have to go" Margaret waved, "Bye guys"
"Bye Margaret" They waved.
Margaret came home expecting what she expected. Mordecai was watching TV. "Hi Sweetie" She greeted.
"Hey Baby" He got up and kissed her, "How was the enrolling thing?"
Margaret smiled, "Oh great. She'll be in a Mrs. Mitchell's class next year" She looked at him, "So where are the girls?"
"Sleeping."
"Oh really?" Margaret giggled, "I'll just check on them" She headed upstairs, she creaked open Alice's door, seeing her child, "Sweet dreams Alice Marie" She headed down the hall to Rosie's room.
Rosie was asleep with the book and doll in her grasp, "Oh she's precious" She smiled, "Sweet dreams Rosaline Mavis"
Margaret walked downstairs, "You're right. How was Daddy-Daughter day"
"It was alright" Mordecai smiled, "Rosie's getting better in therapy"
"Oh thank god she's getting better" She silently prayed, the cardinal sat on the couch, "Can I ask you something?"
Mordecai nodded, "Sure what?"
"Would you like to talk about the business we were talking about when I was pregnant with Alice?" She smiled.
The blue jay smiled, "Yea…about getting a dog right?"
"No about trying again" Margaret giggled, "having another baby"
Mordecai raked his fingers through his hair, "Another baby? Margaret…"
The cardinal nodded, "I know Alice is still a baby but when she gets older..?"
"Yea" Mordecai answered.
Margaret looked at him, "I think I want to meet your family"
The blue jay coughed, "Wh-what?"
She nodded, "Yes. I'd love to have Thanksgiving with them"
"So you wanna have another baby and meet my family" Mordecai sighed, pinching his nose. "I'm not sure…"
Margaret nuzzled her head into his neck, "I gave birth to their grandchild and on New Years when I was supposed to meet them the snow got worse so we had to stay home" She whispered, "Please let me meet them. I'd really like to see them"
Mordecai sighed, "I just…I don't think it'd work"
Margaret moved his shoulders and laid him down on the couch, "Please"
The blue jay sighed, "Sure…on Thanksgiving we'll invite them over here"
She smiled, "Thank you" She kissed him. Then got off of him, heading upstairs.
"Where are you going?" He ran after her and started tickling her.
"HAHA! No!" Margaret ran to her bedroom, "No!" She cried, with Mordecai following.
The blue jay gently threw her on the bed, "You shouldn't have left me on the couch"
Margaret giggled, "I love you" She kissed him.
"I love you more" Mordecai teased her, kissing her.
Yes well Idk what to call this? Happy or not happy? But hey I tried uh so Margaret wants to meet Mordecai's parents. I got a buttload of more happy chpaters. From Kudleyfan93 and myself. So coming soon will be Rosie's fourth birthday, Thanksgiving, Margaret's birthday! And…that's all I'm giving you.
