Chloe's visit to the Vatican proves to be the latest in a long list of useless enquiries into the Devil. No matter what evidence she uncovers, none of it bears any resemblance to the Lucifer she knows. Deeming her investigation to be a lost cause, she decides to give up and go home. That is, until something happens that might just change her mind...

Lucifer brings in a surprise guest to talk to Chloe about her concerns. I'm on another re-watch of Season 5 and couldn't let this moment go untouched. It was just begging to be addressed, so here's my quick change to Episode 3 ¡Diablo!

Lucifer gets outmaneuvered by a group of 13-year-olds.

Lucifer sees something unexpected in Beatrice's bedroom.

"I always knew though. I always saw him for what he really was. I could see that darkness within him." - Jack Rhodes, a detective rumored to be overly obsessed about solving a decades-old cold case, transfers into the LAPD. Adamant he's put his cold case obsession to bed, Chloe soon realises he appears to have replaced it with a new obsession; Lucifer.

Chloe is fuming. She is angry at Lucifer and he doesn't know what to. He also has to deal with the loss of his Devil face and the return of his wings. As they are checking out a lead Lucifer gasps as he feels something that he has not felt in a millennia. A prayer and all the trouble that comes with it. Set in S03E01.

*** SEASON 5A SPOILERS *** Lucifer and Chloe finally share their first kiss after being reunited, just to be interrupted by Chloe's phone yet again, calling her to another crime scene. Chloe regrets taking the call, but going to the crime scene together with Lucifer makes the entire situation better. Takes place between Episodes 5x05 and 5x06.
