Dumbledore arrived outside the Grangers residence not a minute later and hurried up to the door only to have it open in his face as both of Hermione's parents exited the house. They were dressed warmly in thick coats and scarfs. Each carried a small case, and neither said a word as Mr Granger locked the door.

Once the door was locked both Grangers turned to address Dumbledore: "Professor, how did Molly and Arthur take the news?" Mrs Granger asked anxiously.

"Quite Well my dear but you can see for yourselves in a minute as the Weasley's are meeting us at the school," Dumbledore said smiling.

"If you don't mind me asking, how are we getting to Scotland sir." Mr Granger asked quite unsure of Wizard travel.

"That's up to you; there are five ways in which we can travel to Hogwarts. The first which I think you'd prefer would be the same way in which your daughter gets to school, via the Hogwarts Express. Though practical for transporting the student body, their pets, and trunks it is rather time-consuming. The second is apparition which is a form of teleportation from one place to another. It's fast but can cause sickness, pain, and dizziness the first couple of times one uses it. There are two forms of fire travel, one which involves stepping into the fire and been sent to your destination by travelling through different fireplaces. To do this, we'd have to get you temporary connected to the Floo network. The other form of fire travel would be to hold onto a Phoenix so that they can flame you to your destination. I happen to have a Phoenix named Fawkes who is my familiar. The final mode of travel is that of portkey, where I would charm an object to transport us to Hogwarts." He told the Grangers allowing them to make their own opinion on the matter of transportation.

"Under different circumstance, we'd take the train, but with Hermione been a five-year-old again, it wouldn't be wise to travel for so long when there are other methods of transportation. We don't feel safe travelling by fire and Hermione has told us about apparateing, we don't wish to lose any limbs. If it's alright with you, we'd like to use the portkey." Mr Granger said shakily.

"Certainly," Dumbledore said leaning down to pick up a small stone from the ground. Muttering "Portus" the stone glowed and he held it out to the Grangers who each placed a finger to it as they were pulled away.

They spun uncontrollably like a Catherine wheel on bonfire night. After what seemed like an eternity but was only a couple of minutes the Grangers landed ungracefully on the floor of Dumbledore's office and Dumbledore landed gracefully next to them. The Grangers struggled to get their bearings but eventually managed to move themselves to the chairs on the opposite side of the desk to Dumbledore's.

"I'm sorry about the landing; I should have warned you before we set off that it can be difficult to maintain your balance once you land with portkeys," Dumbledore chirped, just as his fire turned green and Molly Weasley came out making the Grangers Scream.

"Good Gracious Molly, you scared the living daylights out of us." Mrs Granger gasped in fright. Before anything else could be said on the matter, the fire turned green again and out popped Mr Weasley with his glasses lopsided.

While straightening out his glasses, he informed Dumbledore of the fact that his other children wouldn't be joining them as they had to get back to their jobs.

"That's alright Arthur, I expected as much," he told him as Arthur took a seat with his wife and the Grangers opposite him.

"So that was floo travel." Mr Granger stated to nods from the Weasley's and Dumbledore.

"I'm glad we didn't come that way." Mrs Granger spoke, shuddering once more. The magical occupants of the room laughed before Dumbledore became severe, ready to discuss what they would be doing over the next couple of days.

"As all of you know Fred and Hermione have been de-aged, and I have brought you here to persuade them that here at Hogwarts they will come to no harm or in Hermione's case she hasn't been kidnapped. We are using the cover that they have been chosen to test the school to see if it is appropriate for children their age to start instead of waiting until they are eleven. For this to be believable, you are going to have to look like your younger selves; therefore, I asked the Grangers to bring a picture; if you give it to me, I can glamour you to look as you once did while Molly and Arthur glamour themselves." Dumbledore explained while taking the picture that Mrs Granger held out to him."

Once glamoured it was more evident than ever that Hermione looked like a younger version of her mother; they had the same face, height, and figure. They even had the same-coloured hair, but Hermione's was frizzy like her father's while her mothers were dead straight. Molly was less plump, and her hair was longer and less greying. Both men hadn't changed much other than a greying hair some age lines and grey hairs.

"Let's go and find your children, shall we hope they haven't caused much mayhem like earlier," mused Dumbledore lightly.

Little did he know that his words had sealed fate and mayhem was an understatement.
