After finding Fred, it had taken the older students and the professors many hours to fix all the damage the two five-year-olds had caused to both the school and its inhabitants. While everything was getting returned to how it should have been; both the Granger and Weasley families had been shown to unused accommodations on the fourth floor, near to the Weasley Twins not so secret lair. In those accommodations both children have been sufficiently told off, cleaned up and after a much-needed sleep both children had been told the cover story for why they were in Hogwarts. Both children were now under the impression that they had been selected to specially attend Hogwarts to see if they should admit younger children next year. Both children were determined to prove that they were good enough to attend school, they had been instructed that if they wanted to remain at Hogwarts then they would have to apologize for the previous day's behaviour.
The students of Hogwarts tentatively entered the Great Hall for Breakfast the next morning; each with their wands in hand, eyes shifting around the room for a pair of tiny terrors. All students let out sighs of relief when they saw that the children weren't there; perhaps they had been returned to their own age, the students thought, their eye's scanning the room once more this time for the teenage versions of Fred Weasley and Hermione Granger who also were not present.
Breakfast continued and the students became more at ease, eating their food and discussing the events of the previous day's events or todays classes.
Towards the end of breakfast, ten minutes before the first-class period of the day, the doors to the Great Hall flew open and a giggling girl, smaller than Professor Flitwick, petite, fair skinned with chocolate rumbustious curls raced in, a boy the same size who had fiery red hair and pale freckled skin chasing her. The girl screamed as the boy launched forward almost catching her and she ducked under the green clad Slytherin table crawling as fast as she could, as she scrambled through all the student's legs.
"I'm going to catch you," the boy yelled as he too ducked under the table in hot pursuit of the girl. Hermione shrieked with laughter, doubling her speed as she crawled, coming to a familiar pair of black Dragon skin shoes.
"AH, SAVE ME MR BLONDIE," the girl screamed loudly as she scrambled up the boy's legs and onto the lap of a started Draco Malfoy, her arms wrapping around his neck as she kicked her legs onto the table, causing the food closet to Draco to go flying in all directions. A Ginger head popped up from under the table next to her and Hermione laughed merrily as the little ginger boy tickled her sides. The inhabitants of the hall looked on at the scene with amusement; mostly because the little girl still had her arms wrapped around Draco and the teenager looked down horrified at the two five-year-olds who had decided that he was the perfect place for a tickle war.
"HERMIONE," a woman's voice called from the entrance of the Great Hall, Hermione stopped laughing, and sat up, pushing Fred away from her.
"Mummy," the girl spoke quietly, scrambling over the table and onto the floor where she stood meekly before both her and Fred's parents, Fred also scrambled to the floor standing next to his new friend, both children were coved breakfast foods.
"What did we tell you this morning," Hermione's dad asked, although his voice was quiet it carried throughout the hall.
"You told me I had to behave if I wanted to stay in the magic school and that I had to apologise for how I behaved yesterday," the girl told her father.
"Do you think that running away from us getting yourself and the students at Mr Malfoy's table covered in food constitutes as good behaviour," her dad asked.
"No," Hermione answered, lowering her head, her eyes watering.
"Your right it isn't good behaviour, now go and make your apologies so the students can get to their classes. Hermione nodded vigorously and dragged Fred up to the Professor's table where she timidly looked up at the staff. Professor Dumbledore smiled down at them and waved his had over the pair, cleaning away all the food on their clothes.
"We are really sorry for yesterday," Hermione spoke quietly.
"We were scared and excited and got carried away," Fred continued.
"We really want to stay and promise not to do something that bad again," Hermione spoke, this time turning to look at the students.
"I'm sorry for attacking George, my mum says he is my cousin, and my twin is named after him," Fred told them.
"I'm sorry for hitting people with fish and for biting off Harry's ear." Hermione spoke.
"We are both sorry for the fire and the flooding and all the transfigurations," they spoke together.
"We are sorry for everything, please may we stay," they said together once more.
"Oh, please Mr Merlin," Hermione begged turning back to Professor Dumbledore.
"You can indeed stay dear girl; though I am not Merlin, my name is Professor Dumbledore. You are both forgiven for yesterday's actions and today you will be starting your first day of school. Firstly, you will require uniforms;" here Dumbledore waved his hand both Fred and Hermione's outfits became perfect miniature uniforms complete with little robes and hats, "next you will need wands" he told them conjuring a pair of toy training wands. "I have for you a timetable with your lessons, there is a photo of the person who will be escorting you to each class, so you don't get lost. You will be remaining with your parents for now but once they go home, I think it best you sleep in the Gryffindor dormitory as Mr Weasley has family in that house. I encourage you both to make friends in al of the houses of Hogwarts, however. I believe that you both have already eaten breakfast this morning so both of you go and join Harry and Ron so that they can take you to transfiguration," Professor Dumbledore told them, waving his hand a final time to clear all of the tables of food.
"Oh, thank you," Hermione whispered hugging his knees before dragging Fred over to Harry at the Gryffindor table, both dodging the students that had started to head off to class.
"Harry were going to class with you," she told the messy haired boy looking down at the colourful timetable in her, hand with many moving photos on it.
"Oh, goodie," Harry muttered, as reaching for her hand as his friend Ron did the same to Fred, both teens led the children out of the hall past their parents who told Hermione and Fred to behave once more before the children were swept away in the tide of students ascending the grand moving staircase.
