Jeanette's POV

I opened my eyes and took a look around. Nothing looked like the inside of my house – in fact, everything looked like something out of Ancient China! I looked down at myself, and saw that I was dressed differently. I was wearing a blue dress under a lilac purple top, a deep purple cloth around my waist, and an indigo cloth on top of everything (with a white belt around it). Then I heard Trysha cry out, "Hey, Jeanette! Look at my new outfit!"

I turned around, and sure enough, Trysha was dressed differently, too! Aside from her glasses, she was also wearing a white dress under a light blue top, a baby blue cloth around her waist, and a flower-patterned blue cloth on top of everything (tied by another white belt). "What happened, Jeanette?" the brunette asked.

I explained to her, "Well, um… you know how on DeviantArt and Fanfiction – there's these stories that my friends make up where they go into a movie and they meet the characters and follow along with the plot – kinda like Kingdom Hearts?"

"Yeah?" Trysha said as she looked around, "But you know what, Jeanette? I have a feeling we're not at your house anymore!"

Then I looked around and gasped, "You know what, Trysha? I think we might be in Ancient China! And if I remember correctly, I don't think Fa Mulan and her family live too far away from where we are now!"

As we walked along a dirt path, Trysha asked me, "Jeanette, have you ever played this video game called 'Kingdom Hearts'?"

I shook my head and answered, "To be honest, it's been a REALLY long time since I last played any video games. My parents just don't believe in them. I mean, I've heard of 'Kingdom Hearts', yes."

Trysha stopped and looked at me as she said, "Well, this situation we're in kinda reminds me of that game. It's where the heroes go into these Disney movies and such, and they help the heroes accomplish their goals and defeat the villains."

I stopped in my tracks and thought for a moment. I also remembered seeing some of my other DeviantArt friends writing stories similar to Kingdom Hearts, where they had original characters based on themselves visiting various movies and helping the heroes find their destinies and fight off the villains. Then it occurred to me – Trysha and I must've been put into Mulan's world for a reason! I snapped my fingers and said, "Trysha, I think we have been put here in Ancient China for a reason! Remember how we made wishes back at my house before everything went haywire?"

"Yeah," Trysha nodded.

"I think something in my VCR told us that there was a destiny waiting for us here in China!" I answered with an astonished look, "And look over there! Doesn't that village look familiar?" I pointed out a small village out to Trysha up ahead on the path.

Trysha saw the village and asked with amazement, "You don't suppose that's Mulan's village, do you?"

"There's just one way to find out!" I grinned. So then Trysha and I ran down the path and made our way towards the village. And a good thing, too, because I heard the sound of some children screaming not too far away.

Trysha's POV

I also heard the screaming, and Jeanette and I turned our heads to find three little boys being harassed by two thugs. As we ran over to investigate, we saw the boys cry out, "What are you doing?"

"Help!"

"Let us get to our well!"

One of the boys looked to be around eleven years old, and he was wearing a pale green tunic with matching pants, white socks, and black shoes. The second boy looked to be seven years old, and he was wearing a lavender tunic with matching pants, white socks, and black shoes. And the youngest looked to be about four, and he was wearing an orange tunic with matching pants, white socks, and black shoes. The two older boys had their hair done in buns, and the youngest just had a little pigtail behind a haircut similar to Moe Howard of the Three Stooges.

The eldest boy grabbed one of the thugs' arms and yelled, "Go away!"

"Leave us alone!" the middle boy cried as he tried tackling the second thug.

The first thug just shoved away the oldest boy, and then the youngest tried tackling him as he screamed, "Stop it!"

I looked at Jeanette as I shook my head with disgust. "We can't just let these thugs harass these boys anymore!" I said with a frown.

Jeanette nodded in agreement and asked, "But how are we gonna stop them?"

Before I could answer, Jeanette nudged by arm and motioned me to look at two black horses that were tied to a post. "Hey!" my friend said, "Remember that scene in The Prince of Egypt…"

Third Person POV

The boys kept trying to ward the thugs off, and the eldest one shouted to them, "My father's a former soldier in the Imperial Army! You're gonna be in BIG trouble!"

"Hey, you guys!" a familiar female voice called, making the two brigands turn their heads. Jeanette and Trysha each held a horse's rein in their hands, and Jeanette asked the thugs with a smirk, "Are these YOUR horses?"

Before the mean men could answer, Jeanette and Trysha commanded the horses to run, and let go of the reins, making the animals run away fast!

"Hey!" the men cried out as they chased for their horses, "Come back! STOP!"

As the boys watched the men run off, Trysha stood by a well and watched the sight. She took her glasses off for a moment, and then suddenly, her glasses slipped from her fingers and went falling into the well! "Oh no!" she cried.

A few minutes later, the girls were looking desperately down the well, while the boys struggled to pull the rope. Just then, a young woman who looked to be in her mid to late teens walked over with a sly grin. She was dressed in a yellow and green dress with an indigo cloth around her waist and a red belt. "What are you boys doing?" she asked the three boys.

The youngest boy looked at her and said, "Mulan! We're trying to get this lady's extra eyes outta the well!"

Jeanette quietly gasped and put her hand over her mouth as she thought with surprise, Is she THE Mulan – the Disney Princess who saves China?

Mulan, meanwhile, looked at the little boys and grinned as she crossed her arms, "Trying to get a lady's extra eyes out of the well – well, that's something I've never heard before."

Trysha cleared her throat and motioned for Jeanette to look in the bucket full of water. Mulan, who had heard the throat clearing, looked over and gasped, "Oh my! D-don't worry, we'll…" Her sentence was cut off when she saw the redhead and the brunette looking through the water; both of them had normal-looking human eyes, even though they weren't almond-shaped.

While Jeanette and Trysha searched in the pail, Trysha stumbled upon an object in the water with her fingers and smiled, "There they are!" She then fished her hand in the bucket and pulled out her purple glasses. When she put her glasses back on, she got a better look at the Chinese girl. Trysha gasped and whispered to Jeanette, "Do you see what I see?"

Jeanette whispered with a nod, "Yeah – we were right! We ARE in Ancient China, and we are looking at Mulan, herself!"

"Are you girls okay?" Mulan asked them, "I can sure tell you two aren't from around here, are you?"

"Uh… no, we're uh, visiting," Jeanette answered meekly; she didn't want to surprise or shock Mulan or the boys with the fact that she and Trysha were from centuries into the future.

"We can… tell you about it," Trysha added with a nervous grin.

Mulan thought for a moment, and then she smiled at the girls. Then, she turned to the boys and said, "Come on, you three! You should explain to me and the rest of our family why these girls are here."

As everyone walked along, the eldest boy said to the other boys, "Baba's gonna go into a big dishonor rant when we get home."

"No, he won't!" argued the youngest boy, "These girls saved us, remember?"
