CHAPTER 2: LEVELLING

In a sandy castle somewhere in No Man's Dimension, 6 figures could be seen. One was a dragon- skeleton named Momonga. The other five were his in-game friends.

The slime (Hero Hero) said '' I am on a very tight schedule thanks to the miscommunication, so can we accelerate this meet." in an angry voice.

" All of us are pretty exhausted because of the miscommunication and the delay it caused, so please calm down," the insectoid said. (Touch Me)

" I think we should call it a day and continue on tomorrow although we haven't made any progress except finding each other" Bukubukuchagama (Half-elf) said in a very cute voice.

Everyone except Mamonga no nodded and logged out of the game. Momonga and Bukubukuchagama remained there staring at each were Mamonga who broke the silence and said.

" Are you not going to log out and relax?"

"I have some free time in my hand and just couldn't leave a friend of mine alone. Want to go on a little adventure to get some basic gear?"

" Yeah, why not. I saw a dungeon nearby, maybe it hasn't been looted already." Exclaimed Momonga.

"Then lead the way," Bukubukuchagama said.

Both of them started walking towards the dungeon but mid-way through they found a little tomb, so they decided to enter it instead. They fought a few skeletons to gain some levels and experience points. They saw a soul eater from far away standing in the corridor in between the treasury room and them.

"So should we take it on," Bukubukuchagama said.

" Let me think for a second. We are about level 20 and the soul eater is level 37. But you have a few levels in Archery, and I have a 3rd tier spell (electro bolt) so we should be able to snipe it from far away"

" Let's do that"

They started wearing whatever skeletons dropped to get a little protection and set up barricades to block the path of soul eater.

"So shall we start?" Momonga said.

" If you are ready, I am ready too."

" Let's show the soul eater, who we are."

[Electrobolt] Momonga tapped on the console. A bright-colored bullet shot from the tips of his finger and hit the soul eater.

Soul Eater growled in anger and started running towards them but was stopped in track because of the barricades.

Bukubukuchagama took her aim and started shooting magical arrows from his bow. But the low tier bow dealt very little damage to the soul eater.

Soul Eater broke the barricades and started running towards her.

Then a loud sound and a lot of smoke filled the corridor. It was because of the [land mine] set up by Mamonga, beforehand.

Soul Eater was stunned for a minute as an after effect of the land mine and lost his HP because of the blast. But then soul eater made it to Momonga.

"Momonga" Bukubukuchagama shouted, meanwhile continued sniping as she knew she will only become a hindrance to him if she jumped on a melee fight.

Momonga was shocked that soul eater survived after so many arrows, spell, and the land mine.

But prepared himself to fight as he took out the cracked Mythril sword and swung it with his full strength but missed.

Soul eater striker with his leg, unbalancing Mamonga but somehow he managed to remain standing.

So I cannot just swing the sword with all of my might. I have to time it and only apply that much stronger so that I could regain my posture quickly.

A very important lesson. Punnito Moe would have scolded me for not practicing beforehand.

Soul Eater tried to head bud him but he saw it coming and escaped at the very last second and landed a blow on his back. Soul Eater's HP dropped to 0. And it turned into black mist and dropped a black colored low-density data crystal.

"Huh…" Both sighed.

Both of them gained a few levels due to that encounter and went straight inside the room. There was a small chest kept in the center of the room and there were few drawings drawn on the walls of the room.

Both of them quickly started to analyze the chest and walls for any possible traps or hidden pathways but couldn't find anything.

"So Mamonga-san, will you do the honor's of opening the first loot box, or should I?"

"I will keep watch of the surrounding area."

"Ok, we will share the loot after getting out."

Momonga nodded in approval.

Bukubukuchagama carefully opened the chest and found a few gold pieces and decorative put everything in her inventory and went to Momonga.

"So shall we get out or you want to discover more"

"One deathly encounter is enough for the first dungeon for today, let's head back and log out."

Both of them went back to the Sandy castle and logged out of the game.

I enjoyed it a lot, maybe a replacement of the old game with the new one was actually a good thing that happened to me.

Suzuki Satarou smiled internally and went to bed.
