Daniel's annual Holiday Work with St. Nicolas takes an unexpected turn when Nicolas asks him to fill in for another spirit. In the course of his work Daniel discovers that there is much more to Christmas that toys and candy for the children, and the things that many of us take for granted, are the things needed most by others.

Captain Gregg is taken back to his own past, by a newspaper article. Then Carolyn and the children show him the modern miracle of a ship of the future.

This story is a piece in the process to tie all of my 'Dream' stories to the GAMM episode, "The Ghost of Christmas Past (GOCP). It picks up before Carolyn leaves for work, Christmas Eve morning, and fills in some missing moments throughout the day. Although it's a MM from the GOCP, it follows my alternate universe of the characters.

The Ghost of Christmas Past is one of my favorite GAMM episodes. If you've read my alternate universe stories about the characters, you know I began writing them because I felt the writers ended the story way too soon. Not only did it end too soon, but there were a few missing moments as well. This is my attempt to fix at least one of them.
