Chapter 8: The Journey to Sanctuary.

Not much had happened since last night besides Axton leaving to go scouting after yelling at the group.

"Gaige, Gaige, wake up, wake up."
"What, what's happening?" Said Gaige. "Nothing it's just you were sleeping and Zero is cooking breakfast." "Maya why didn't you just let me sleep?" Maya had a smile on her face from what Gaige had said. "Because you are a 17 year old girl who needs to eat breakfast."

Sir Hammerlock's house had only four rooms counting his, so Maya and Gaige shared a room, Salvador and Krieg shared a room, and finally Zero and Axton share a room. Downstairs.

"Wow what's that smell?" "Gaige I told you Zero was cooking."I din't know Zero could cook. The symbol on Zero's helmet was a question mark. "Of course Gaige it's not that hard." Said Zero. "My friend this food is great is this real bacon?" Said Salvador.

"Yes." "KRIEG LOVES THIS FOOD!" "Well it seems that Krieg likes this food, so how do you like it Gaige?"
"It's pretty good Maya so, has Axton been back yet?" "No he is still scouting." Said Zero.

As on some kind of key the door flew open and Axton walk in to the house. "Hay guys." "Hay Axton done scouting?" "Yeh Zero I'm done scouting." "Well Zero cooked breakfast." Said Maya. "Hay Axton are you still mad at me?"

All Axton could do was laugh. "No Gaige I'm not mad at you hay Zero is this bacon real." "Yes, why does every one keep asking that?" "Well buddy you are a Alien so, I don't know what kind of bacon you eat."

"Well it's normal bacon". "WE MUST GO TO SANCTUARY!" "What did Krieg say." Said Maya "Did someone say sanctuary?" Said Claptrap. "Yeh Krieg just did what does that mean?"

"Well Maya sanctuary is a home of heroes and survivors." "How do we get there?" Said Axton. "Well we need my boat back but, Caption Flint has it." We will help you retrieve your boat claptrap."

"Ok team let's get weapons and ammo then head out." "Axton where are we going to find ammo and weapons." "Gaige I all ready found them."

Outside there were two stacks, one weapons, and the other ammo from Axton's scouting mission.

"Axton where did you get these weapons and ammo?" "From a machine outside." "You mean from a Marcus ammunition machine?" "Yeh Claptrap." "Good thinking Axton." Said Zero.

25 minutes later.

"Zero you see anything?" "No Axton wait two enemies moving on the right." "Ok Zero take them down." "Enemies down." "What the fuck is going on?" Said Boom. "Sir we have some prick shooting our guys."

"Well kill them before Caption Flint finds out." "Gaige can you fix Zero's." "Yeh Axton I can but, I need some time." "Ok Maya, Krieg, and Salvador lay down cover fire and I'll say back and guard Gaige and Zero." Ok Axton." Said Maya.

Gunfire could be heard from miles away but for the Vault Hunters the sound was closer. Maya, Krieg, and Salvador were doing their job to a point killing anything that tried to get by but, ammo was running low.

"Axton we are running low we might need help." Hold on Maya, Gaige is almost done." "Ok Zero your suit is ready to use." Said Gaige. "Ok guys we need to get down there and help."

"It could be worst their only sending foot soldiers after us." "GET READY TO BLOW!" Said Boom and his brother Bewn. "You had to say it could be worst Axton." "Sorry Maya." "I hate to say but, they have a rocket cannon." Said Zero.
