Chapter 19: Ladies, Now Let's Get In Formation (Tooth's POV)

"NO!" I slammed my hand into the secret Aurora panel in the central command tower of my palace as a fire spirit erupted from a patch of sunlight on the Asia Minor platform.

"Hello puny fairy." Its gravelly voice echoed throughout the entire palace. Every fairy was frozen my now.

"Attack on my command." I thought, and my mini fairies zipped into rows, fanning out along side me as I rose into the air from the central platform. "Wait until I give the signal." I added in my mind. Suddenly, another fire spirit flamed from a sun patch on the Australian tooth sub-tower and I thought as loud as I could, "Now!"

Like one entity, my fairies darted into five triangles arranged in such a way that they formed a 'V' shape. I was at its center.

The fire spirits raced up at us. We met them head on and the fight was quick and dirty.

Two 'V' formations of mini-fairies made short work of "Fireball #1" while the three other 'V' formations helped my relocate the water in my central tower's reflecting pool directly onto "Fireball #2".

As soon as we realized that the fire spirits were gone, a sleigh crashed into the South American tower, coming from a snowglobe portal. I didn't know whether to blame the crash on Dasher and Dancer (the two reindeer in the front) or the sleigh's driver.

"Tooth, we saw the auroras! What happened?" North shouted, leaping out of the sleigh as him reindeer got up with a few grumbled complaints. I flew over to him and told him about the attack.

"Wait," I paused mid-explanation, "You just said aurora-s, as in plural." Never before have we needed more than one Aurora signal. If all the Guardians needed to attend an emergency meeting, it was usually just North who sent his aurora out. (His workshop housed the Globe of Belief where it was easier to spot threats before the rest of us.)

"Yours and Bunny's," North sighed, his swords coming to rest by his sides. I flew back over to the central tower and pushed my Aurora panel again. My purple-red Aurora faded away. Then I went back to North.

"Sandy is not here then, so we must hope he is at Aster's. Hell was not here, correct?" He asked me. I shook my head as I watched mini fairies Baby Tooth, Sera Tooth and Dolphin (all three were named by Jack,) organize the clean up process around the palace. I had to remember to say thank you later.

"If you and memories and fairies are well, then going to the Warren might be in our best interests," North suggested, climbing back into his sleigh.

"It had better not be on fire." I said, gritting my teeth. Hell had done a lot of things to the world lately, and each of those things was seriously pushing all of our buttons. Sooner or later, Hell had to be ready for that bomb to blow; I hoped it was right in his immortal, 17 year-old, sorry face. Then a snowglobe took us to the Warren, and what do you know? It was on fire.
