Random one-shots until Christmas! The characters will stay the same and ages, but I'm putting my own twist to the main plot of it.
I will be picking up where I left off after Shawn and Juliet get married around Christmas. These are just filler chapters.
SBPD
It was Friday afternoon and Shawn walked into the SBPD to pick up Psych's check for the week. The past few weeks Shawn has been trying to find the right words to tell Juliet how he feels about her. Shawn grabbed the check from the clerk and walked over to Juliet's desk.
"Hey Jules." Shawn said.
Juliet looked up from her work and saw a Shawn Spencer smiling at her.
"Hello Shawn, what's up?" Juliet asked.
"Can you take a walk with me real quick?"
"Sure."
Juliet got out of her chair and grabbed her blazer and put it on and followed Shawn out of the station.
They walked for a few blocks before Juliet noticed that Shawn was nervous.
"Shawn are you ok?" Juliet asked.
"Yeah, but what I'm about to say will change everything." Shawn said.
"Is it your secret?"
"How'd you find out?"
"I figured it out a while back."
"But you went along with it."
"I did. You're crazy smart. You're an asset to the station especially to me."
Shawn smiled, "That's not what I was going to say, but ok."
They kept walking until they reached the boardwalk about a mile away.
Shawn and Juliet faced the ocean and leaned on the pier.
Shawn took a deep breath and looked at Juliet.
"Juliet…" Shawn started.
Juliet turned her head quick at Shawn's use of her full name.
"Juliet I want you to listen to everything first before you say anything." Shawn said.
Juliet nodded.
Shawn turned and faced Juliet, "Juliet, I like you, a lot. Working with you these past few years have been amazing. You make me want to work, which believe me, is no easy feat. You are selfless, you put up with my shit, but most of all, you're one of my best friends. I'm tired of being just friends with you. I want to be the person you come home to every night, I want to sit with you on the couch and watch cartoons with you in my arms. Damn it Juliet. I love you."
Juliet stood there with her mouth open at Shawn's confession. She moved in closer to Shawn and wrapped her arms around his neck, "Do you really?" Juliet asked.
"Yeah. I meant every single word of it."
Juliet pulled Shawn in for a kiss.
Shawn smiled as he was pulled into the kiss. He wrapped his arms around Juliet's torso and pulled her closer.
Juliet pulled away and stared at Shawn.
Shawn relished the last few seconds before he opened his eyes to look at Juliet.
"Jules will you let me take you out tonight?" Shawn asked.
Juliet grabbed Shawn's hands and started swinging them, "Yes."
Shawn smiled, "What time should I pick you up Jules?"
"How's 6:30?"
"Perfect."
Shawn held out his hand for Juliet to take it and they began the mile trek back to the SBPD.
They got about 5 blocks away from the station and Juliet said, "We have to keep this on the down low for just a little bit."
"How long is that?" Shawn asked.
"I need to iron out things with Karen first, then we can tell everyone."
"I can't even tell Gus?"
"Please? Plus it gives us some time alone."
"Ooh good point."
Juliet winked at Shawn.
"Jules, is it too early to stay the night?" Shawn asked.
"Meaning?" Juliet asked.
"Meaning, we fall asleep on the couch watching TV."
"Is that all?"
"You're setting the pace for this relationship."
"After dinner would you like to come watch a movie?"
"Depends, what movie?"
"Your pick."
"You're the best girlfriend ever."
"I've been your girlfriend for only 30 minutes."
"Still."
They got 45 feet away from the station and Juliet stopped at looked at Shawn.
"What?" Shawn asked.
"I don't want to say bye yet." Juliet pouted.
Shawn pulled her into a hug and kissed the top of her head. He looked around to make sure no one was watching and his kissed Juliet.
Shawn pulled away and gave her one more kiss, "Bye Jules. Don't dress up too fancy."
Juliet pulled Shawn in for one more kiss and let him go to his bike.
Juliet walked in the station and saw Karen waiting for her at her desk.
"Chief." Juliet said.
"Come in my office." Karen said.
Juliet followed Karen into her office and sat down.
"You look happy." Karen noticed.
"I am. Happiest I've been for a while." Juliet said.
"It wouldn't be Spencer related would it?"
Juliet crossed her arms and leaned back in her chair.
"Juliet, I saw this relationship before you did. It was inevitable."
"Really?"
"Yeah. Do you not notice the way he looks at you?"
"Maybe."
"You two flirt all the time, I don't know why it took you two this long to get together in the first place."
"Please don't tell anyone yet. I told Shawn I wanted to keep this on the down low for a little bit."
"Ok. Is Gus going to know?"
"No. We're keeping it between us for right now. I told him I would iron out everything with you later."
"Ok. Well, go on. Have a good weekend.
"Thank you."
"Of course."
Juliet walked out of Karen's office and grabbed her purse and left the station for the weekend.
Juliet headed straight home to change into some jeans and a t-shirt and drove to the Psych office to surprise Shawn.
Shawn
Shawn was at the Psych office throwing a stuffed animal up in the air and catching it. He heard the door open and close. Before he could get up, Juliet was standing right in front of him.
Shawn jumped out of his chair and tackled Juliet on the couch and kissed her.
"Hi." Juliet said.
Shawn smiled, "Hey there. How'd you get out early?"
"Karen said I could go."
"Does she know about us?"
"Nope." Juliet lied.
The door opened and closed again and Gus walked in on the two of them.
"Shawn! How many times do I have to tell you to stop tackling people?" Gus fussed.
Gus sat down on his desk and noticed that it was Juliet.
"Oh, Juliet, I didn't know you were here." Gus stammered.
Juliet lightly pushed Shawn off of her so she could sit up.
"Hey Gus." Juliet said.
Shawn bent down and grabbed a random piece of paper, "Jules! Stop taking my drawings and I won't have to tackle you!"
"I'll stop if you color INSIDE the lines." Juliet said.
Shawn rolled his eyes and crumbled up the paper and threw it in the trash.
"So Gus, what are you doing here?" Shawn asked.
"I don't know. I got bored." Gus said.
"Well sorry to hear that, but Jules and I were just heading out the door."
"Where are you two going?"
"I'm taking him to go look for some new jeans."
"He does need that."
Juliet smiled.
"Gus, I'll see you on Monday." Shawn said.
"Wait? What are you doing all weekend?" Gus asked.
"Going to Malibu."
"For?"
"Gus, I want to get away for awhile."
"Fine. See you Monday."
Shawn and Juliet walked out of the Psych office and to Juliet's car.
Shawn got in the passenger seat and waited on Juliet to get in to kiss her.
"Thanks for going along with the thing in there." Shawn said.
"Of course. Now are we really going to Malibu this weekend?" Juliet asked.
"You want to?"
"I mean, I'm not opposed to going on a trip so early in the relationship."
"Then it's settled, me, you and Malibu."
Juliet clapped, "Yay!"
Juliet started the journey to Shawn's house.
"Jules, your house is that way." Shawn pointed behind him.
"I know. We're going to your place to pack." Juliet said.
"UGH!"
"What?"
"Vacations are not meant for clothes."
"They are if you want to go eat with me. I just bought a little black dress the other day."
"Did you?"
"Oh yes. It's gorgeous, but we can just head there now."
"No, we're good. Let's go get some of my clothes then you can go pack."
"That's what I thought."
Juliet drove to Shawn's apartment and let him out and followed him to his apartment. They walked in and Juliet went straight for the bedroom as if she lived there.
Juliet walked to the closet and picked out a couple of nice outfits, so they can go out to dinner a couple of times. She finished packing for Shawn and met him in the kitchen and saw him writing something.
Juliet snuck up behind Shawn and yanked the book away from him.
"Jules, give it back." Shawn whined.
"No. You never write stuff down." Juliet said.
Shawn didn't want to fight, so he dropped it.
Juliet read the page "Finally got Jules to be my girlfriend. I've been waiting years for her. I guess saying how you feel really does work out in the end. I really love her."
Juliet closed the book and walked up to him and kissed him.
"I love you too." Juliet whispered.
"Really?" Shawn asked.
"Yeah. I have for a while."
"Since when?"
"The roller derby case."
Shawn nodded.
"Nothing to say?"
"Nope. I'm just going to leave that at that. Now Ms. O'Hara, we need to go get that little black dress from your apartment."
They left Shawn's apartment and went to Juliet's.
Juliet packed the black dress first so Shawn didn't see it. She packed a few swimsuits that she knows Shawn will like.
Juliet walked out of her bedroom with her duffle bag in her hand, "Spencer! Let's go."
Before Juliet could get to the door, Shawn stopped her and grabbed her face and kissed her.
Shawn walked her back to her couch and sat down and she got on top of him.
Juliet grabbed a fistful of Shawn's hair to try and get some control.
Shawn winced when Juliet pulled his hair.
Juliet pulled away, "I'm sorry. Did I hurt you?"
"Not at all. Now come here." Shawn said.
Shawn picked Juliet up and made their way to her bedroom for the evening.
Malibu will still be there tomorrow.
