Hey guys! I'm back! Shall we get to the honeymoon? I'm going to skip all that travel stuff, it's boring.
Vancouver
Shawn and Juliet got to their hotel around 5:30 that evening. They walked up to the check in desk and got checked in. While getting checked in, Juliet's phone rang.
"Hello?" Juliet asked.
"Juliet." Karen said.
"Yes?"
"Are you with Shawn?"
"Yes, why?"
"I've been trying to get ahold of him all day."
"Karen, look at your calendar."
Karen looked at her calendar on her computer and saw that Juliet and Shawn were on their honeymoon.
"I forgot. I am so sorry." Karen apologized.
Juliet laughed, "It's totally ok. We just got to the hotel."
"How was the trip?"
"Shawn slept most of the way, shocker."
Karen laughed, "Can I speak to him for a brief second?"
"Sure."
Juliet handed the phone to Shawn.
"Hello?" Shawn asked.
"Mr. Spencer…" Karen greeted.
"What did I do? Am I in trouble?"
"Not at all, I forgot that you two were on your honeymoon the next couple of weeks. I wanted to check in and see if you guys got there safely."
"Yep. I just picked up the keys to our hotel room and we are heading there now."
"Ok, well I won't take up much of your time. You two have a great trip."
"Thanks, Karen."
Shawn hung up the phone and handed it back to Juliet.
"That was weird." Shawn said.
"Yeah?" Juliet asked.
"Yeah. It's like she totally forgot we asked for 2 weeks off."
"Baby, the past few weeks have been busy, not just for us, but others are busy too. It's the holidays, we got married, there's just a lot going on."
Shawn opened their hotel room door and let Juliet walk in first. He followed her with the luggage cart.
Juliet took the cart from Shawn and put their belongings in their bedroom.
Shawn grabbed the cart and put it just outside of their door. He closed the door and saw Juliet on the balcony.
Juliet heard the glass door open and she turned around and saw Shawn.
"Hey." Shawn whispered.
"Hey." Juliet said.
Juliet leaned back on Shawn's chest and sighed.
"You ok?" Shawn asked.
"Yeah. Long day of traveling." Juliet answered.
"So you don't want to go to dinner?"
"I didn't say that Spencer."
"Well how about you get your little cute butt in there and change into a cute little dress and we'll go to dinner."
"If I'm dressing up, you are too."
"Then let's go."
Shawn and Juliet went back inside and went straight to the bedroom and changed for dinner.
Shawn was in front of the bathroom mirror trying to fix his hair.
Juliet came up beside him and fluffed her curls a little more.
"You look absolutely gorgeous." Shawn complimented.
Juliet walked up to Shawn and fixed his tie and kissed him, "Thank you. You look dashing."
Shawn smiled and kissed her again.
"Shall we?" Shawn asked offering Juliet his arm.
Juliet linked her arm with his and they grabbed their purse and wallet and left their hotel room.
They got off the elevator and walked straight to the car.
Shawn opened up Juliet's door and then shut it when she got settled. He walked over to the driver's side and got in and started the car.
Shawn pulled out of the hotel parking lot and drove 15 minutes to their destination.
"Valet Shawn?" Juliet asked.
"Yeah, I made reservations here like a week ago." Shawn said.
"Really?"
"Yeah, I wanted our first night to be calm and relaxed and this place fit the criteria."
"I didn't know Shawn Spencer knew what the word criteria meant."
"I asked Gus before we left."
Juliet laughed, "Of course you did."
The valet opened Juliet's door and offered her his hand.
Juliet got out of the car and waited for Shawn.
Shawn put the car in park and handed the keys to the valet.
"Thank you." Shawn said.
The valet gave Shawn a curt nod before going to park his car.
The couple walked into the dimly lit restaurant.
"Wow." Juliet whispered.
"Yeah." Shawn whispered.
"Baby, you did amazing."
Juliet grabbed Shawn's hand and ran her thumb on the back of his hand.
Shawn went up to the host's desk.
"Welcome, name?" the hostess asked.
"Shawn Spencer." Shawn said.
The hostess looked at the reservation list and quickly found Shawn's name.
"Of course, welcome, Mr. and Mrs. Spencer." the host greeted.
Shawn and Juliet gave the hostess a smile.
"Well, you two come and follow me." the hostess said.
The couple followed the hostess to the back corner of the restaurant where it was quiet and not too many people around them.
"Thank you." Shawn said.
"Of course, your waiter will be with you shortly." the hostess said.
Shawn nodded.
Juliet put her purse to the side and grabbed Shawn's hands.
"Babe, you did absolutely wonderful tonight." Juliet complimented.
"Thank you, Jules. I had a little help." Shawn said.
"From who?"
"Gus."
"Gus has been here?"
"No. He gave me the idea of finding a nice and quiet restaurant for our first night here."
"You have one hell of a best friend."
"He doesn't even compare to you."
"Did I just pass Gus up?"
"You passed Gus up 6 years ago."
"6?"
"At the movie theater."
Juliet's eyes softened, "Shawn, really?"
"Yeah. I wanted to say yes to you Jules so bad, but I'm a nice guy. I felt like I had to date her."
"You didn't love her did you?"
Shawn shook his head, "The only woman I've ever loved is sitting right in front of me with wedding rings on."
"Your mom?"
"Of course I love my mom, she's not you though."
The waiter came and took their order and went back to the kitchen.
"So, are you ready to see if the bump is a boy or a girl?" Shawn asked.
"Beyond ready. I made 10 weeks yesterday and I'll be 12 weeks when we get back." Juliet said.
"How long until we find out?"
"We can find out through a blood test when we get back or we can wait a month or so and find out on the ultrasound."
"Can we wait until the ultrasound?"
"You want a picture don't you?"
"Yes. I want to put that one in a blue or pink frame on my desk at the office."
"You do realize you have to clean your desk off if you want a picture frame to fit right?"
"I'll text Gus later."
Juliet chuckled.
30 minutes later the waiter brings them their food.
Shawn and Juliet ate and talked back forth for the next 45 minutes.
Juliet looked at her phone and saw that it was 8:45.
"Hey, it's almost 9, are you ready to head back?" Juliet asked.
"I'm fine with that. Is there anything else you want to do tonight?" Shawn asked.
"Nope. Traveling took most of my energy."
"Well then let me get the check and we'll go."
Juliet nodded.
Shawn flagged down their waiter and asked for the check.
A few minutes later the waiter brought Shawn their check.
The waiter was about to walk away when Shawn caught him.
"Excuse me." Shawn said.
The waiter turned around and grabbed the folder from Shawn and went and swiped his debit card.
"How much was the ticket?" Juliet asked.
"None of your business." Shawn joked.
"You know I can see our banking over the phone right?"
"Not this one."
"Are you keeping an account from me?"
"No…well, yeah. I keep money in a separate account for when I spend money on you or us."
"Why?"
"I just want our dates and stuff to be separate from all the bills and garbage."
"You're so sweet. How long have you had this account?"
"Right before we started dating. I got an offer from a bank with a $500 sign on bonus and you know I love free money. I never used it until we started going out. I put our very first date on that card."
The waiter came back with Shawn's card.
Shawn took his card out of the folder and put it back in his wallet. He grabbed the pen and left a generous tip for the young man.
"Well Jules, are you ready?" Shawn asked.
Juliet nodded.
Juliet stood up and grabbed her purse and grabbed Shawn's hand.
"Thank you for dinner." Juliet said.
"You're more than welcome. How was your food?" Shawn asked.
"It was good. How was yours?"
"Good. But then again steak is always good."
Juliet nodded in agreement.
They got to the car and Shawn pushed Juliet up against the car and kissed her.
Juliet pulled away and looked in Shawn's eyes and smiled.
"I love you, Shawn Spencer." Juliet whispered.
Shawn's nose bumped Juliet's nose gently, "I love you too, Juliet Spencer."
Juliet wrapped her arms around her husband's neck and hugged him.
Shawn hugged Juliet back and buried his nose in her hair.
"Don't ever let go." Shawn mumbled.
"Not even to go back to the hotel?" Juliet asked.
"Fine."
Shawn reluctantly pulled away from Juliet and kissed her.
They got in the car and headed back for the hotel. They walked into their room and Shawn kicked off his shoes and took off his tie before he got to the bedroom.
"Really?" Juliet asked.
"I'll pick it up later." Shawn said.
"How much later?"
"A day or so."
Juliet rolled her eyes at her husband's antics and smiled.
Shawn got changed into a t-shirt and some gym shorts and laid down on the bed.
Juliet came in and turned on the light and Shawn hissed.
"You big baby." Juliet said.
Shawn chuckled.
Juliet moved through the bedroom picking up little things here and there and finally went to her luggage and grabbed pajamas. She changed into her pajamas and then got in bed with Shawn.
Shawn wrapped his arms around Juliet and kissed her neck.
"Jules." Shawn mumbled.
"Hmmm?" Juliet asked.
"Thank you."
"For?"
"Marrying me."
"Shawn…"
"No, I mean it. You are the most important person in my life. I don't know what I would do without you. You bring so much happiness into my life that sometimes it's overwhelming, but I never want you to stop."
Juliet rolled over and faced Shawn and saw tears in his eyes.
Juliet reached up and wiped the one tear that fell out of Shawn's eye.
"Baby, where is all this coming from?" Juliet asked.
"I don't know." Shawn said.
"Shawn, I'm going to tell you something that I've only told my mother."
Shawn's eyebrows rose.
"You have been the best boyfriend I've ever had. You've shown me what a real relationship is. Yeah I've dated, but none of them were as good as you. You are sweet, supportive, understanding, funny, I can't forget handsome. I love you Shawn Spencer, I will never stop loving you."
"Did you just say your original vows?"
"Yeah."
"Well then since you said yours, I'm going to say mine."
"Go on."
"Juliet, I don't even know where to begin. You have changed my life. Completely turned it upside down, but that's a good thing. Before I met you I was a pretty shallow guy, but then I met you. Something inside me clicked and told me not to let you go. You've been the first serious girlfriend I've ever had. I don't know where life is going to take us, but baby, as long as I'm with you, it can take us wherever."
Juliet wiped her tears.
"I like these better than the ones we said our wedding." Juliet said.
Shawn chuckled, "I love you, Juliet."
"I love you too, Shawn. You are quite the writer." Juliet said.
"I tried to cut them down, but knowing you for 8 years and us being together 4, that's a lot to talk about."
Juliet kissed Shawn and put her head on his chest.
"Now look at us. We're married, on our honeymoon, and we have a little bump growing." Shawn said.
"Is this what your dream of us looked like?"
"I told you, as long as your next to me, life will be like I want it to be."
"You're amazing, Shawn Spencer."
"I love you so much Jules."
"I love you too."
Shawn turned on the TV and watched TV until he and Juliet fell asleep.
