Hello Hello. I am here with another update to this little story, and consider this the final part of what might be considered the prologue. That is becuase from here we get into actual cannon story lines. Yay. But I will warn those who read this story and my others that I am taking a short break from writing. Lately I have not been feeling too well, and I also fear that I will burn myself out on writing if I push myself too much. But look forward to the next chapter when it comes out because my little break is only going to take about two weeks before we are back in the saddle. Anyways enjoy this week's chapter.
"Can you show me what you and your men were able to discover at the scene of the crime?", Majima had asked the officer in charge of the crime scene.
"Yes, sir!", the police officer relayed, "This way please."
Without any delay, the police officer pulled the yellow tape blocking off the crime scene and allowed Majima to pass before he followed. From the quick glances that Majima stole as he followed the officer, he was able to get a vague idea of what had happened. Furniture, knicknacks, and gadgets were all destroyed or were damaged beyond repair. Worst of all was the trail of red that followed the destruction.
Majima felt his blood boil at the sight, and had to remind himself to control his temper. But one can't expect to remain level headed at visiting the sight his protege had been butchered. Izuku didn't deserve this, not just this but everything that had happened in his life. The boy had the potential to change the world and so much more had met his fate at the hands of a sick psychotic murderer. He just hoped the officer would hurry up and get to the scene of the crime because he had to get started on finding the bastard who did this. Eventually the police officer had led him to an upturned table resting in a lake of dried blood.
"Here it is.", the officer said matter-factly, "We believe that the attack took place approximately a week ago sometime between the times of 10:00 pm and 1:00 am. We don't have an inclination of what the murder weapon was, but we believe it was bladed weapon of some kind. There is also no confirmation that the murder was taken out with a quirk, but we narrowed it down to one had to cause severe trauma to the victim."
Majima's eyes narrowed behind his mask, "Any possible leads on who the perpetrator was or what their possible motive?"
"Nothing solid at the moment, Powerloader.", the officer replied, "But we believe the perpetrator had to have been someone close to the victim due no signs of a forced entry. The body of the victim is also missing, which we believe the killer removed to avoid any links to he/she. We have also discovered several file cabinets in the home that are devoid of their contents."
"If that is true, then the killer was more than likely according to the research notes of Midoriya." Powerloader deduced, "Maybe...Yuuto?"
"Sir?", asked the officer.
"Nothing.", Powerloader replied, "Anything else to report."
"Well, now that you mention it. ", The officer said with hesitation.
The police officer started to move towards the upturned table, and gestured for Powerloader to come towards him. Majima did not hesitate to come and see what the officer intended to show him.

Etched onto the table was a singular word. It was almost impossible to see with all the blood that covered the surface of the table, but it was still visible enough for one to see it.. Scratched onto the wood by the bones of a human finger was the word or maybe it was a name. Majima gasped at what was presumably Izuku's final word.
Mechanicus
Hatsume was excited. And that's saying something considering that the eccentric inventor was always excited about all manner of things involving technology. But for once, she wasn't overly excited about technology, but rather she was excited for an opportunity of a lifetime. She was one of a handful of inventors that had been selected to work at the world renowned I-Island for her work in nanotechnology and energy sources.
All she needed was to prove herself to the company Ceo in a simple demonstration of her inventions as her final part of the application process. And Boom! Hatsume Industries is on a one way ticket towards I-Island! She could hardly even begin to think about all the babies she was going to make and how many heroes are going to seek them out. It was a dream come true, but she needed to stay focused on the task at hand otherwise she might falter.
The eccentric inventor set down her box of babies, and began to make some final adjustments to her appearance using the reflective doors of the elevator as a mirror. It was still a far cry from the clothes she wears in her workshop, but her ex had taught her the proper usage of formal attire when it was called for. But it still didn't make her like a suit and tie over a jumpsuit.
*Ding*
The pink haired woman pulled out her phone to see who had sent her a message, and to her surprise it was from Majima-sensei. Odd, didn't he already give her the obligatory good luck chat while she was on her way to the company headquarters? Thinking nothing more than that, Mei unlocked her phone to read the text message.
…
…
…
Mei's steady breathing instantly dropped to shallow breaths, and her body became rigid as a piece of steel. The inventor's hands began to tremble uncontrollably causing her to drop her cellphone on the elevator floor. Her yellow cog-like irises began to jitter in the whites of her eyes as tears threatened to spill from them as well. She lost her voice which resulted in a throaty croak to emerge from her mouth as she began to collapse in on herself into a ball.
"I-It c-can't b-be?",Mei meekly said to herself, "H-he c-can't b-be g-gone? Z-Zuzu c-can't b-be g-gone! H-He c-can't!"
But Majima-sensei was a hero and friend to her and Izuku, and it was only natural that he would be the bridge that kept the shattered couple together as friends and adherents of knowledge. So it wasn't a lie or a mistake when the Hero Powerloader sent her the text that send into hysterics.
Mei, I do not know how to say this without causing you pain but I cannot think of any other way. So I am going to say this bluntly. Izuku is dead, and not by accident or natural causes. We believe Izuku had been murdered in his home by a villain. The investigation is ongoing, and I will update you when that bastard is found and pays for his crimes. I'm sorry, Mei.
Mei wanted to cry out to actually grieve the loss of her Izuku; her former lover, friend, and equal. But she couldn't. At least not now. She shakily picked up all of her possessions on the floor and did her best to make herself presentable, hiccuping all while doing so.
Within a few seconds, the elevator came to a stop and opened its doors with a ding. Mei gave her best forced smile she could muster and stepped right into the room.
The room was akin to a council room with a large circular table that housed different men and women in suits. Dead in the center of the table was a large monitor that was sitting on top of an expensive looking desktop computer server. A single table was placed out for her to demonstrate her inventions along with a computer and a projector with a big white screen.
Mei let out a sad sigh as she wearily began to set up for her demonstration. She just hoped she would be able to keep her composure for the presentation. The instant she finished setting up the monitor at the head of the circular table blared to life. In its frame was a middle aged man with salt and pepper hair along with a pair of out of style eyeglasses. His face was beginning to show wrinkles but his black eyes were still full of life.
"I do apologize for not being able to attend your demonstration in person, Miss Hatsume.", the man said, "But I am sure that won't deter you in the slightest. Now, allow me to introduce myself: I am Mr. Akuma Shigechi, and I am excited to see what you can bring to Geonosis Automaton Company."
Katsuki had stars in his eyes and he practically had to force himself not to run on the way home and tell his folks the news. Unless he wanted to leave behind the girl that had been tagging along with him. Said girl was his age, a classmate at daycare, and had decided to become Katsuki's friend the moment he first went into class. Akemi had short red hair and a courage on par with the heroes'. The two were best friends and were nearly inseparable.
"Your quirk is so cool Katsie.", Akemi said with awe, "Do you think it will be cooler when you get bigger?'
"It better get stronger.", Katsuki said firmly, "How else will I become a hero if it doesn't."
Akemi looked down at the ground before a mopey expression formed, "Do you think my quirk will be as cool as your?"
Katsuki looked at the red headed girl, "Don't worry Akemi-chan. I am sure you'll get your quirk any day now, and when you do we will become heroes together!"
Akemi's expression lightened, "Really?"
"Yes! When we team up we will be as good as All Might! Plus we will have the best gear thanks to my brother being the smartest inventor in the world!", Katsuki exclaimed.
…
…
…
Eventually the pathway to their different homes had diverged. Katsuki gave his goodbyes to Akemi, and proceeded to sprint towards his home. The boy was excited to tell his parents that his quirk had finally come today! They were going to be so proud of him, but even better was when he was going to Izuku! His brother was going to be so happy that he got a cool quirk, and he couldn't wait to see him smile with happiness!
Katsuki hurried up and opened the door to his house with great haste before carefully closing it without slamming it. However, his ears picked up the sound of something completely alien to the household. Crying.
Katsuki suddenly went very rigid, but went deeper into his home after some hesitance. Upon entering the living room, he was greeted with a strange sight. A police officer was in the living room. He had a solemn expression while his hands were clasped together at his front. His father was sitting on the couch, his expression one of sadness, while he held onto the source of the crying. Kasuki's mother, his amazon of a mom, had her face covered by her hands and was crying her heart out.
A cold feeling of dread squeezed at Katsuki's stomach causing the boy to suddenly feel nauseous. Autopilot kicked in as he barely registered the fact that Policeman had excused himself to leave. Katsuki tentatively scooted towards his parents. His father stole a glance at him before answering the unspoken question that Katsuki had said.
"Son.", His father said, struggling to say the right words., "Your brother, Izuku...well...he...is...is no longer with us anymore. He...died."
With those words, everything in Katsuki's world fell apart within the next few days. His brother, his second hero, would never again come through the door of his home and visit him on the weekends. His mother had lost much of her fierceness as a result of losing her last connection to her friend Inko. And his friend Akemi would come to him in a few days with the revelation that she would never get a quirk. The future in which he would become the greatest hero had been shattered, and would never take the shape he would envision it.
Yet, Bakugou didn't cave in from all the pressure of the loss. In fact, it strengthened a resolve that even he didn't know about, and he vowed to become a hero his deceased sibling could be proud of. He would protect Akemi from the dangers of the world, and most of all...he vowed to bring the villain who took Izuku away to Justice.
Dr. Yuuto looked in horror at the small article in the morning paper. It was a small obituary dedicated to a man that had once been his underling, and his stepping stone to fame and renown.
Izuku Midoriya passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday 7th, 2XXX. He leaves behind no living blood relatives, and was the last of his family line following the death of his Mother and Father many years prior. Izuku Midoriya did not die of natural causes, and was murdered in his home. If any information could be given concerning the case, please inform the Tokyo Police Department.
"Dammit!", Yuuto cursed, "He's really dead isn't he?! What the hell am I going to do!?"
Yuuto was many things: a brilliant scientist, a ruthless politician, and a master manipulator. But one thing he wasn't able to do was to be able to discern any of the work that Midoriya had done. In fact, Midoriya's own research and skill far surpassed his own, and it was only the grace of the old quirkist board of directors that allowed them to take his side in the credit for Blitzcrank.
But Midoriya the ever spiteful bastard had decided to destroy his notes on the sentient robot before being kicked out of the university. Sure things were fine now, but issues were going to pop up when Blitzcrank needed repairs. Yuuto had prepared for such an event and that involved the kidnapping of the robot hero's true creator and forcing him to tell the secrets of the machine.
But that plan was completely shot out of the water with the fact Midoriya was now dead. But even worse was the possibility that the police might investigate him as a murder suspect, and if the police found out the connection Midoriya had with Blitzcrank. Then it would appear that Yuuto had stolen Midoriya's work and had murdered him to prevent him from further damage. Even murdering a quirkless waste of space was tolerated in their society because as far as anyone was concerned: murder is still murder.
"What am I gonna do? What am I gonna do? What am I gonna do? What am I gonna do?", Yuuto chanted as his one of first mental breakdowns occurred.
Let me know it you liked this chapter in the reveiws. It helps me continue writing to get that much needed dopamine from your reviews.
