Omake 1: Fin's and Simone's Adventure!

~Evening~

Fin followed Simone through the open campus, no fear of being seen due to the odd hour.

"What are we looking for?"

"Ah, come on Fin can't we just explore?" Fin snorted giving 'not you' eyes.

She bit her lip pouting "We need to find Kana-san and figure him out."

"Tic-Toc?"

"Exactly!" Simone clapped "Just like a clock!" she beamed at her partner.

The duo found themselves in the thick part of the woods of Cross Academy; they tread through the tall trees and grasses of the unmanaged area with the grace of forest animals. Simone scanned the area as Fin took the rear. The deeper the brush went the more brisk was their pace until finally it began to thin out again. Tall lumbering trees framed the landscape where an ivory palace sat, settled in the heart of the picture.

Simone's eyes took on a glint like sea waves with the early morning sun beaming down. Only Fin knew what laid in those virtual depths, a ravenous curiosity, that she had to have sated.

"Come on!"

She grabbed Fin's arm to pull him along behind her. Fin fell into step, one and two, until their paces matched. The palace was as pristine close up as it was from afar. His sister searched for an entrance but couldn't find any on the ground level.

"There." One tan-pale finger pointed to an open window on the second floor.

Simone beamed at her sibling for the quick thinking. "Well then, let's go."

There wasn't a ladder to climb and the structure was smooth like river rocks. Luckily there was a tree hanging over the window only a couple feet above. They climbed quickly-

~In the night class~

Aido was playing with pencil shavings leaving a trail of lead on his math paper. He'd finished early for once but he was bored, without Kaname there to keep his attention there wasn't much else to do. Now boredom was beating down on him. He turned around to take a look out the window. 'It's so stupid we can't leave when we finish, if people rush that's there stupidity.' He thought but of course he is forgetting he is one of the people who caused this rule to be put in place after chasing Kaname out of class without checking to see if he finished his own work or not.

The Night Dorms were easy to see from his seat, it was at an odd angle so he could see part of the back of the building. Then he saw something odd. His brows creased in the middle of his forehead a little line appeared. The tree above his room was shaking violently up and down. 'What the hell?!' He got up to run out of the classroom but was halted when Kain grabbed the back of his jacket and slammed him back down.

"Ow!"

"Problem Aido-kun?" Yagari asked in his usual aloof tone.

"No Sensei." Aido rubbed his sore bottom glaring daggers at his cousin who refused to look at him, though there was a hint of a smile trying to break out across his face. If he laughed, Aido was willing to resume childhood behaviors of jumping on his cousin and pulling his hair in public.

~Back at the Moon Dorms~

The tree's branches above the window were unstable and shook violently with their weight. Fin saw the limb begin to crack, with a grunt the elfin like child pushed Simone the small distance from the tree to the window. Simone grabbed hold to the window seal like a cat, clutching to it. There was a rustle of leaves followed by a thump. Simone looked below to find Fin crouching on the ground covered in scratches and leaves tangled in his green hair.

She got herself settled on the seal and cuffed her hands around her mouth. "You okay?"

Fin nodded pulling a twig from the hair it was tangled in.

"I'll let you in from the front!" Simone turned to go inside and find another entrance.

The room was divided between what looked like a mad scientist's lab and a luxury hotel room. It was odd to say the least but Simone shook it off for more important things and turned the knob to leave. Unfortunately bumping into an uncorked vial as she left. The dorm was silent except for a far away hustle and bustle coming three floors below. She hoped she could avoid that in her excursion.

~Moon Dorms Fin~

Fin roamed around outside looking for another way in as well, when he saw a chamber maid coming from a cellar door with a big cooking pot, he hid himself in a bush. She dumped the contents of the pot grumbling something about contaminated water. Fin took the opening to sneak in, betting that if there was a hot pot, according to her mittens holding onto the thing, there would be a kitchen connecting to that door.

The cellar held multiple dusty bottles filled to the brim, wheels of cheese, and a school supply of potatoes and other ground dwelling vegetables. Almost hidden by a large pile of wood was a tiny, chipped blue paint door wide open. Fin moved like the wind inside and scurried into the kitchen where a cook was checking a dozen roast or more.

" Only that girl could burn water! And blaming it for being tainted, mostly soil, I haven't seen water so pure in all me days of working a kitchen." The woman tsked.

Fin was out of the room by the time the oven doors shut.

~Moon Dorms Simone'~

Simone' came to a huge set of double doors at the end of the hall. It had gold inlay and sparkled like a gem, with high door knobs reaching half-way above her head. She had to reach up on tippy-toes to reach the bottom of the handle and jump to turn it. The carpeted floor absorbing the sounds of her landing. The door croaked open not much more than a crack. She pushed it open enough to let her inside the grand bed room. It was at least twice as big if not more than the other room she'd been in. As she made her way into the room she turned the corner to find even more of the room. A spacious bed and a door that was left open to show a large bathroom. She was gobsmacked as to who could need so much room for themselves alone.

Crrr-eeaa-kkk

Her back stiffened at the sound of the door opening more, her ears twitching to the sound. A heart beat thudding in her ears as she swept the room for cover.

'A bed, bathroom, desk-whereee... no time!'

~Moon Dorms Fin & Simone'~

Fin wandered around the next room and the next searching for Simone'. A difficult task when you couldn't call what you were searching for aloud. The original room he came in had been checked. Fin's eyes watered at the putrid stench that hit when one walked into the room. After shutting the window to hide their intrusion, Fin took off shutting the door to the horrible stench behind.

The room he was in now was more pleasant. This room was far nicer than the previous, a lovely lilac smell emanating from it. It reminded Fin of Zero-chan. Fin walked through with a lazy smile and curious gaze. There was a bulge in the canopy of the bed. So with curiosity in mind, Fin poked it, with a fireplace tool.

"Ahhh!"

And out came a screaming Simone tumbling atop Fin's body. Simone struck at her attacker all claws and fury.

"Simone, it's me." despite the situation Fin kept a calm tone.

Blinking Simone took a better look at her attacker. "Fin!" she cheered and apologized. "How'd you get in?"

"Ground door." He said and she just nodded accepting the simple answer. "Know where we are?"

"Ahhh...?" She took another look around the room, untangling herself from her cohort. The desk held the first real clue to who's room this was. A picture of Yuuki and Zero sat on the desk, it looked a couple of years old but well cared for in a silver frame. "Kana-chan's room." Fin grunted in agreement.

They heard a slamming door from the other side of the hall followed by furious coughing and gagging.

It was time to go.

"We should leave." Nodding Fin and Simone took off towards the french doors. They looked down, it was a three story drop.

"Over here." Fin pointed to another balcony only a floor below and a landing to a grand outdoor stair case below that.

They played a game of Mario as they leaped from balcony to balcony. When it came time for the stair well Fin got his shoe caught on the step below the landing and sled all the way into a roll in the grass at the end.

"Fin!" Simone' called in concern and jumping from the landing and running to her brother.

Fin waved back to her lazily, standing up to brush the new foliage away.

Simone giggled getting grass out of Fin's shirt. "You're becoming a klutz!" She teased in good nature.

Fin looked at the shoes tangling his feet disapprovingly. As the two walked back towards the main campus, a pair of tennis shoes went sailing into a far away bush. A very prickly painful to search bush.
