Jay found himself on a beautiful beach. The sun was shining brightly in a perfectly big blue sky, with tall palm trees swayed gently in the cool breeze and seagulls wheeling in the air, calling to each other in their high pitch cries. The azure waves pushed white foams from the sea to the shore, making a quiet hissing noises on the white sand.

He heard an unusual screech and turned around to find the source. All he saw was a lush tropical jungle with vines, big leaves and fallen branches and logs. Brightly colored birds fluttered their wings while chattering monkeys swinging through the trees picking fruit. A sleepy sloth hung from the lower trunk and blinked at them. Jay rubbed his eyes to make sure he wasn't seeing things.

He moved his hand and saw Kaizley, Dallas and Zain were with him. They were dazed and confused as he was. They were looking around their new surroundings with curious interest. "Am I dreaming or are we at the beach?" Kaizley asked.

"I don't know," Zain said, "All I remember was we were talking in Uncle Ollie's lab and WHOOSH! We are at the beach."

"Where is Ollie and Amy?" Jay asked. He looked around. Ollie and Amy were not with them. He felt uncomfortable, this place looked like it came from an advertisement for tourists. Everything seemed awfully peaceful, but above the jungle he saw three moons in the sky and each one of them were entering different phases from half, full and quarter moon. "Where are we?"

"Don't know, but I am going into the water first," Dallas said. She ran towards the sea, "Last one there has to cook dinner tonight," she called over her shoulder. The others whooped and chased after her. Except Jay.

"Hey, wait guys," Jay shouted, "I think we need to think about this. Isn't weird that the others are not with us? Shouldn't we look for them first?" They were already in the water. Dallas splashed water at Zain. He laughed and threw off his shirt and splashed back at her, causing her to squeal.

Kaizley took out her smart phone. She angled her phone so she could see herself at the beach with Zain and Dallas playing in the water. She pressed the red record button. "Hey you guys. This is Kaizley, we are at the beach. But where are we? Hawaii? Rio? Santiago?"

Jay sat down on the sand stunned at the way how his cousins were behaving. I can't believe this. We are on some unknown place with no idea how we got here, we don't know where we are and Ollie and Amy are missing. He sighed and took out his phone to call Ollie on his smart phone. I hope they are still at the lab, and I hoped they are safe. Then we could figure out how to get us back home. "This number you have dialed is not available or in service. Please dial again," he heard a female voice said.

He frowned and tried again and the same voice repeated itself again. Jay felt uneasy, This does not seem normal. He tried calling Amy's phone, but he heard the same recording again. He tapped on an app to open a map to see where they were. But it opened a white window that said, "No Internet Service." He glanced at the top right corner of the screen and saw there was no internet connection. He felt his uneasiness growing into panic. He opened the setting to find out what was wrong on his smartphone and to his horror, there was no internet connection.

What is going on? He could imagine their parents must be worried and they might call the police. Even worse, they might put Ollie in jail and charged him with kidnapping. He could imagine the news streaming from the internet and on television saying: Mad Scientist made Teens vanish in his lab.

Calm down, Jay closed his eyes and took several deep breaths. You went camping with the family and they taught us how to survive in the wilderness. All we need to do is stay calm, find a place to build shelter and find food to sustain ourselves. Nothing to it.

He watched the seagulls warmed in one area and they were circling over the sea behind the teens. They were wheeling in the sky, swooping down at the sea and calling to each other. Suddenly, a long head shot out from the water, snapped it's mouth shut in the air and splashed back, everyone heard a loud crash followed by a huge wave. Dallas, Zain and Kaizley screamed as a huge wave pushed them to the shore.

Jay jumped up on his feet. "Everyone run over here!" He shouted. "Quick!"

The teens scrambled out of the water and ran across the sand to get to the jungle. The seagulls flew over their heads, calling to each other in their long eerie cries. The water exploded, a long green and blue scaly face, followed by a long neck snapped at Zain. Zain leaped out of the way to avoid being bitten, he could feel tiny droplets of water spraying at him, he kept on running straight towards the jungle.

Jay waited until everyone was inside of the jungle. He turned and tripped over a root and fell face flat. "Oof!" He turned around in horror and in fascination at the creature behind him. Now it was crawling out of the water across the sand, making strange hacking sounds. It pawed on it's throat as it opened and closed it's jaws. Then it shuddered an collapsed on the sand with it's mouth wide open.

It has a two curved horns, a pair of wings, a long body, stumpy legs, and a long webbed spine from the back of it's neck to the tip of it's long, thick tail. It's blue green body have blue and gray patterns all over it. It's a dragon, Jay realized in awe. He flinched as the dragon moved, then it stopped. It collapsed on the sand, it's sides were heaving heavily as water dripped down it's blue-green skin.

Jay wanted to move. It looked like it is suffering. As if it needs help. Jay was tormented by his inner desires. Part of him wanted to help this mythical creature from his childhood fantasies, but the other part of him was terrified and warning him the dangers of helping a dangerous creature that could eat him. He hesitated. But hearing a strange gurgling sound from it's throat, persuaded him to stay and help.

Jay moved closely toward the dragon. It opened it's eyes, causing him to freeze, he stared deeply at its eyes behind it's long snout, they were green with gold flecks around the iris. "Easy big guy, I'm not a snack. I'm just here to help." He whispered, he expected it to lunged at him and snapped him up. But it blinked at him and looked as if it was confused. It was almost looked human as if he was trying to figure if it was feeling hungry or not.

Jay continued to move slowly, he talked to it in his low soft voice. "Hey there. I'm not going to hurt you." He put his hand on it's snout and patted it. It felt smooth and cool under his touch. Now Jay was close to the dragon, it's mouth was like a huge cave, he could walk inside. He saw it's scales were light green and blue. Some parts of its scales were in an odd color that made patterns all over it's body. He was in awe that he was close to a dragon. "OK big guy. Let's see what is bothering you." He looked inside it's mouth. It was dark, the colors inside of the mouth were pink and it have a strong odor of rotten fish and plants. He saw there were bones, scales and seaweed stuck between it's teeth. Everywhere was covered with translucent gooey liquid that have bubbles in it. Warm air was moving in and out from the dark cave in the back of it's mouth, making a strange noise.

"Ahh, eee, eee, ahh, eee."

He hesitated. He remembered when he found a baby raccoon as a kid, he begged his parents to keep it. But Ollie explained he couldn't because that some animals retained their wild instincts and they cannot be kept as pets or continued to be exposed to humans. Ollie also added it's mother was somewhere near by.

Ollie you were right about that. He was worried the dragon could snapped its mouth shut after he get inside its mouth. He wished Ollie was around, he would have three or five ideas on how to help an animal in distress or Amy to back him up. He looked around him to find what he could use. He spied long pieces of driftwood on the shore near by. He went out and collected the longest and thickest pieces of wood he could find. They were heavy and one by one, he dragged it over to the dragon and used it to propped the dragon's mouth open.

He turned on the flashlight on his phone and shined it at the throat. He saw a tail sticking out. The saliva on the tongue was slippery. Jay went back to the jungle and grabbed some vines and tied them together to make the longest rope. All those years camping with Ollie comes in handy. He grinned at himself. Remembering his childhood, looking at Ollie's photos of his travels, listening his tales of visiting different countries to help the animals. Sometimes Ollie would take him out camping and drill into him basic skills for survival.

He tied one end to turn it into a loop and went back inside the dragon's mouth. He tossed the rope until it landed on the tail. He made a couple of quick tugs to make sure it was secure, then he ran outside and pulled the other end. He pulled, but it wouldn't move. His muscles started to ache from the tension. Jay gritted his teeth, Come on move! He felt the tail moving. So did the dragon.

The dragon gagged and coughed, and then it started to move.

The dragon grabbed the rope from Jay with it's webbed talon and pulled the tail out. Jay tumbled back into the sand, he quickly backed away from the colossal creature watching it with awe, fascination and terror as the tail came out followed by some fishbones. Then it snapped it's jaws, breaking several pieces of wood as if they were twigs. They fall down from his mouth, and scattered all over the sand. Jay covered his face with his arm from the smaller pieces of wood. He looked up at the dragon, sitting on it's hindquarters and it's wings folded on it's back. Jay realized the dragon was as tall as three elephants standing on top of each other. It stared at the remains with disgust, and tossed it away.

Before Jay could run away from the dragon, it grabbed Jay and held him in front of his face. "Rooaarr rooooooaaaaar! Ruggal grrowl!"

Oh great! After I went out of my way to help it, I'm gonna get eaten. Jay thought. He squeezed his eyes tight, expecting a painful death. But to his astonishment. The dragon patted his head and flew in the sky with Jay. "Hey! Where are you taking me? Put me down!" He shouted, he squirmed and kicked, but the dragon didn't seemed to noticed. It kept on roaring. "Roar, groarf. Roarble? Boarf?"
