Hello again, I don't have much to say, so I'm going to get started right away. As I said before, this is for my own entertainment and my own practice. So, I honestly couldn't care less if you type a bad review about how the story sucks or the plot line is a little weird (This story is already pretty trash anyway).

However, I am willing to take advice on better ways to write and deliver messages. I am also going to say that there is this bug that makes bold, italics, and underline texts look normal; not sure why, but it's just a warning.

Also, I'd like to say this now, this isn't really much of a fanfiction for the "A certain Magical Index" anime, but more of a fanfiction to "A certain Scientific Railgun". Even as a fan of the series, the magic side is still very complicated for me to understand. Thanks!

ITEM just finished their mission, In the middle of the night.

"That's the last of them" said a blacked haired girl, wearing a tracksuit.

"That was super easy" said a girl with a knitted sweater.

"So what's our next mission?"

"Don't get too hasty Frenda, we'll do another tomorrow."

As the group went back to the van, they were greeted with a TV screen written "SOUND ONLY"

"Your next mission will be in 1 pm, a fairly simple job. You will have to detonate a bomb in this area."

The screen showed a small building of what appears to be a school for young children.

"Wait, why are we doing this in broad daylight?" Asked the black haired girl.

"Because that's when all targets are in the same place" the voice replied.

"Why are we detonating what appears to be a school anyway?"

"Just do it, the pay is pretty high, so you should be grateful that I managed to secure a cakewalk job like this. The only tedious part about this is that you are not to be caught in the act" the voice added.

"Consider it done"

Emilia wakes up in her bed. Another normal day. She now knows how to get dressed properly without feeling discomfort, and finally quit reading manga entirely.

Emilia has gotten quite the hold of her ability. She can sense heat signatures. It appears that her ability can also activate depending on her emotions. So, Emilia makes an effort to avoid feeling too excited or too frustrated. Emilia still doesn't know the true limit to her ability; as she never risked testing it at full force. She originally thought that her movement changing ability would make her just as strong as the number 1, but it has come to senses that Accelerator can control vectors, whereas Emilia can only control scalars. In other words, Accelerator can control Magnitude and direction, but Emilia can only control the magnitude of moving objects.

During the girl's walk to school, she passes a blond girl with a black sailor top, holding several stuffed dolls.

Emilia felt some heat still inside the dolls. That's strange, the stuffing in dolls is usually cooler. That must mean there's some kind of machinery going on in there. Maybe it's an automatic doll?

It was a normal day in school for Emilia. Besides the blond girl, nothing interesting happened. Despite all that, she can't help but feel like something is wrong. Like something horrible was going to happen.

But suddenly, it happened. She felt a fuse lighting up, and the classroom was annihilated.

It all happened too fast.

Emilia sat up in the grass. The first thing she saw was her primary school, burning. She panicked and looked around. Where are my friends?

"Alright, stay here. Judgement will cover the rest" says a man with a green armband reassuring, with his hand on Emilia's shoulder. He then turns around and tells the rest of the Judgement members to wrap up the rescue.

Emilia's eyes darted left and right, looking for her friends. Yuki and Akari were there.

But Azusa wasn't.

She desperately grabbed the man's arm. "My friend is still in there! Please go save them!"

Much to her horror, he looked at her in confusion. "No, she should be here right now, there's no one in the building, I have clairvoyance" he said pointing at his eyes.

Emilia had no choice. She bolted into the burning building, covering her nose. She shut her eyes and attempted to sense heat signatures. No good, I need to find them the normal way. I can't just extinguish the fire with my ability either, I may accidentally freeze my friends. There are multiple fires, so this must be the work of a bomber. Judging by the sudden explosion and the fact that all bombs were blown up at once, the bombs must have been remote bombs. In that case… they must have been knocked down to the second floor.

She dashed up the stairs. She felt a movement from the ceiling and dived to the right to dodge a burning plank that was about to fall on her. When she arrived on the second floor, she checked every room on the floor. She looked at all the classrooms. Once she got in the janitor's closet, she found Azusa's body lying limp on the ground, squished by a shelf full of cleaning supplies. Emilia extinguished the fire in the room with her ability, and moved the shelf out of the way.

She put her hand on her best friend's chest. It was still beating. She sighed in relief and picked up her friend with her shoulders, and slowly limped out the room. Emilia attempted to extinguish the rest of the fire on her route back, but couldn't. I can't accurately calculate the kinetic energy around me, my head's getting fussy.

As Emilia made it down the main stairs, she noticed the ceiling about to crumble down. Shit! She froze the floor beneath her, and slid across quickly, with debris falling nothing more than a foot behind her.

She finally made it out. She managed to save her best friend. Emilia collapsed onto the grassy ground as judgement members rushed in.

"Clairvoyance my ass" she said just before blacking out.

Emilia woke up in a hospital bed, the first thing she saw is a frog faced doctor holding a clipboard.

"Oh, you're awake." the doctor said.

"Where are my friends? Are they okay?"

"Figures that was the first thing you were going to say" the doctor said with a stoic look on his face.

"Your friend that you pulled out the fire will barely live. She's got herself a pretty bad coma, I estimate she will wake up in a month or two, then hospitalized for about a year. But for your other friends on the other hand… I'm sorry, they have been long dead before they even reached this hospital."

Emilia didn't know what to say. Tears formed in her eyes and started screaming in pain.

That blond bastard! Those dolls were nothing but fucking bombs! I didn't do anything… WHY DIDN'T I DO ANYTHING!?

The doctor left the room to give her some space, leaving her to her sobs.

Emilia was once again, alone.

Emilia eventually got over her tears and looked out the window, depressed. She heard a sliding door open and a strange man in a black coat entered her room. She didn't turn around.

"I'm sorry about your friends"

She slowly turned to face him. It wasn't someone she knew. Why would he visit a random girl in the hospital?

"No, I'm really sorry. I'm REALLY sorry for what I did to your school and friends"

She looked up at him in horror. His stoic look turned into a sinister smile.

"It wasn't hard actually; just needed to hire some buffoons to do it for me" he continued.

"So I have a favor to ask of you. I did this to find the perfect hit-man among primary kids. Your quick thinking and your ability made me speechless. So tell you what, I'd like to hire you to-"

"No" she interrupted

"Understandable. But I'd like to tell you something. Your friend Azusa is going to be spending a lot of time in the hospital. That's going to rack up a lot of hospital bills, no? Worst of all, her parents decided to abandon her. So I'll ask you again. Do you want to work with me? The pay is very promising, you'd at least be able to pay her hospital bills and have enough money to take care of yourself. I'll also throw your friend's life in the deal."

Her eyes widened. "You wouldn't."

The man laughed. "Oh, but I could. Don't underestimate higher-ups, little girl. So what do you say?"

Emilia gritted her teeth "I... accept."

The man smiled again.

"Welcome to the dark side."
