This will be short story even if it sees the end. Makes me a little sad that I will have to cut back on the build up and hype but we are short on time. Legit tho, for the first time in a long while I am excited about writing something.

Enjoy.

Rachel Claudius could not help but marvel at the creature she had snuck into Friar, the so called anti-aragami mobile base under the directorship of the fat puppet Grem. She had grown weary of dealing with him and all the other human fools in the mobile base as each interaction and every forced smile would sicken and twist her stomach but now she was given a much needed respite and a reason to continue her painful act.

The boy before her was an anomaly and for all the wrong reasons. Outwardly, he looked no different than a normal teenager, with a light build and medium height but just one glance at his eyes was enough to erode the senses of whoever was stupid enough to stare into the abyss.

Eyes were windows to the soul after all and he was a complete monster on the inside, not even the slightest bit of human. Even Rachel herself had retained some level of humanity, even after the injection of the bias factor which saved her life but this boy was part monster and part-

"God…"

Meanwhile, Minato was well aware of the attention he was getting from the blonde girl giggling on the wheelchair, mindlessly harmonizing a wretched tune while she stared at him with unblinking eyes. Minato however did not spare her more than two seconds of attention, dismissing her with a hiss of contempt. She was comparatively less repulsive than the other fools but still a human at the end of the day.

"Welcome to Friar, my God," Rachel was the one to talk first, hand to her mouth to block the giggles. Sneaking him inside the base was not easy but with Leah stalling the fat puppet and Fran being sent to deal with other matters, she was able to get him inside and now he was in her lab, looking over his surroundings.

"Friar, huh?" Minato spoke after a while, sending shivers down her spine. She clenched her fists together and almost cooed in awe, giddy like a school girl. "Affiliated with Fenrir?"

"Ah, you seem to know a great deal already," Rachel smiled. "Yes, although not for long…."

"Interesting," Minato replied, taking a seat on the nearby sofa and dusting off his clothes. "And yes, I do know quite a lot about what has happened in the past year."

"Is that so?" Rachel tilted her head, not minding the scowl that was etched onto his face. He hated her but the female had already accepted him as her new light in the dark world, regardless of how he viewed her.

"Humanity still stands as we speak," Minato continued, stretching his neck from side to side. "For that reason alone, I should kill you right now."

"I apologize, my God," Rachel said, clasping her hands together in genuine apology, followed by a bow of her head. "Believe me; I have made strides towards eradicating this world. Soon, the Devouring Apocalypse will cleanse this land."

"Devouring Apocalypse," Minato blew a raspberry at the stupidity of the concept and walked past her, glancing at the large computer and the various feeds online. She reached out and grasped his hand but she could only feel it for a second as Minato snatched it from her grasp and hissed at her. That did little to deter her worship of him and she continued whispering praises and worshipping him, hoping that he would turn around so she would get to stare into hell again.

"So these are the branches of Fenrir, hm?" Minato said, reading through the contents on the screen. The only reason they were able to stand for so long was because the aragamis lacked unity but now that he was here, the last strongholds of humanity were fated to crumble, brutally and in a very short order. "You disgust me but I will keep you alive for one last chance to redeem yourself."

Undeterred from before, Rachel clasped his hand again, even with the fear that he would smack her across the face and she would burn to ash on contact. Disgusted and annoyed at her affection, Minato was about to throw her off her wheelchair and stomp her head into the concrete but he did stop when the blonde female brought his hand towards her lips and kissed along his knuckles.

"Tch…"

She kept the grip on his hand like her life depended on it and soon looked up at him, eyes shining with undying devotion and adoration for him, as if she had already achieved her life to life, which was to serve him without question.

Meanwhile, Leah had only been standing there for the past few minutes, horrified at the very sight of the monster her sister had brought into the mobile base. She had kept her breathing very low, afraid that a sound too loud would alert the demon and she would die on the spot but then she watched her sister kissing his hand and holding it close to her chest, like a peasant to a king-

Or a worshipper to a God-

"Sister," Rachel noticed her and emulated the same manipulative sweetness to bend Leah to her will. "Please welcome our new guest."

Minato only took a second worth of glance at the redheaded girl and Leah crashed into the door behind her, clasping her mouth to suppress the scream she let out against her palms, eyes widen open and the pupils pale as sheet in horror after just a single look across his features.

Oddly, Minato was actually amused. The Leah girl was even more disgusting than Rachel but she knew her place at least. He snatched his hand away from the dreamy blonde and went back to studying about Fenrir on the computer screen, not sparing either sister a glance after that.

….

Soma was awake ever since the abnormal surge of whatever the hell had happened during the middle of the night. He saw a few flashes of blue and silver in his sleep and then he woke up and for the first time, the fearless God Eater was terrified, not sure what had hit him during his sleep. He woke up sweating and panting, eyes still stinging from the flash of strong colors.

"You're awake early,"

Normally, Soma would scowl at whoever would interrupt him during one of his moods but he regarded the certain someone with a slow nod and made room for him to sit on the bench, overlooking the Far East Branch.

Yuu was no stranger to reading Soma and the blonde haired male did little to hide his emotions whenever something bad had happened but this time, Soma looked shaken up, not just pissed and annoyed.

"You doing okay, Soma?" Yuu's voice shifted, growing more demanding and authoritative.

Soma was silent but he knew he had to answer his superior. He ruffled his sweaty head and sighed, speaking in a low whisper. "I just had a bad dream."

Soma was ruffled by a dream? The guy had nightmares of his own birth and his mother dying and never complained once but now a dream had him waking up early? That was not right.

"What was it?" Yuu said. "I mean, if you are comfortable…"

"I just saw a flash of silver and blue…"

Yuu blinked-

Silver and blue?

"And that was it…"

Yuu was the one silent this time and Soma turned his head to face his superior, snapping a finger to break him out of the trance. Yuu came to and shook his head, slightly ruffled himself.

"Was there anything else?"

"No, just that…" Soma sighed in annoyance. "It seems so stupid and cowardly, that just a flash of colors would upset me this much but…"

"…"

"My aragami side is stirring, as if cowering in fear and disgust at the same time…"

Yuu clenched his fist and recalled his short meeting with Doctor Sakaki. He had briefed him about encountering the strange blue haired boy outside the wall and the acting director of the branch could only arrive to one horrifying conclusion.

"Another singularity…"

But there was something that confused Yuu and even Sakaki. The previous singularities, such as Shio and the emerging Arius Nova still retained aragami like characteristics but the boy he and Aki encountered looked entirely human and yet at the same time-

Far more threatening than Shio and Nova combined.

"I'll have your back, leader," Soma was the one to talk this time and he smacked his superior on the back playfully, doing his part to ease the worry as they were a team. "No matter what…"

"Thanks, Soma," Yuu smiled back, at ease somewhat because he had his team mates at his side, through whatever the hell was coming.

….

"Forgive me if I am speaking out of turn," Rachel said, fidgeting on her chair while Minato kept clicking a few buttons, reading through the records of the previous missions. No matter how much she called or pleaded, he did not look back even once but she was determined. "But… what powers have you been blessed with?"

Minato said nothing and opened up a file pertaining to the Ark project. Such information was exclusive to the Far East Branch but Rachel's hacking had cracked the security fairly easily without them knowing.

"Please show me a glimpse," Rachel pleaded again, voice quivering with excitement. "Show me a glimpse of the powers that will burn this world, my God."

"You will," her so called God finally responded after one last look at the structure of the miserable branch. The anti aragami wall was strengthen far more than the others, thanks to the efforts of Yuu Kannagi and his team but no goddamn wall was going to stop what he would unleash. "I suppose it is time for a small demonstration, a sign of things to come."

"I cannot wait," Rachel gave a nasty giggle in anticipation of the havoc her God would unleash. "But I regret to inform you but I cannot keep you in hiding for long."

Much to her surprise, Minato actually started walking towards her. She leaned closer in anticipation but the scowl frightened her. For the first time in her life she was afraid but that did not stop her from inching closer and closer, almost getting off her wheelchair when he reached out to touch her-

"Hiding, huh?"

Minato spat and touched her cheek, just a brief contact of skin on skin but that little nudge was enough to trigger a hellish reaction in her body, making her scream out in unbearable pain when the oracle cells inside her body began to screech and grind against her organs, combusting several times over and burning her from the inside. She jumped out of her wheel chair and landed on the floor, body twisting and turning as her aragami side went berserk, threatening to rip her open from the inside-

All that from a mere touch to her cheek-

"I don't need hiding," Minato spat and loomed over her, staring remorselessly at his minion withering in pain and screaming. That little demonstration drew the attention of the entire security force stationed at Friar and soon enough, the door to Rachel's room was smashed open by a bunch of fools with guns.

"What the hell is going on!?"

Doctor Rachel was screaming on the floor and a stranger stood next to her, looking as he was going to stomp on her head. The highest ranking official yelled the order to load guns and fire and Minato started walking towards them upon the first click, stretching his shoulders as a sinister smile began to grow on his face.

A few seconds were all it took for Minato to dispose of the security force and Rachel, still in utmost pain was able to see the slaughter with her own eyes. The doorway was now drenched with blood, like a mass slaughter had taken place and a small gander at the scene confirmed who Minato really was.

"G-God…"

He was heartless and soulless, without a shred of mercy and compassion.

She sighed.

Yet, Minato was all that she hoped for in the world.

The blunette walked out of the lab but he had enough courtesy to wipe his bloody boots on the mat to keep the place clean.

Friar would be getting new management after all and he would hate to rule a dirty place.

….

Yuu hated rainy days with a burning passion for some reason. He woke up early and looked outside at ominous clouds that began to accumulate throughout the sky, promising him more misery after a bad night of sleep.

All was well early on but he could not shake the feeling of disaster even when he was around his friends, something Aki noticed throughout the day. So far nothing had happened but as night fell upon the world, Hibari notified him of a new mission which was nothing too out of the ordinary for him, just a Hannibal and a few other medium aragami gone berserk in the old city.

Yuu selected Soma and Lindow for the mission just in case something were to go wrong but nothing of the sort happened during the operation and all aragamis were taken care off without casualty. All the extra artillery for nothing but the real disaster struck at the Den while Yuu and his team were away-

Hibari ran through the halls as fast as she could, her pale face sweaty as she could hear the ungodly screech even underground. She ran into the command room and Tsubaki was already there and for the first time, the commander of the branch stood frozen in fear and shock, hands trembling as she watched the distorted video feed with her mouth wide open.

The heavily fortified wall which strengthened with the cores of several deusphages stood no chance and was shattered with the first hit. The new aragami was inside the branch, slaughtering whatever came in its way, civilians and God Eaters alike.

"Is… that an aragami?"

The creature was more horrific than each aragami in the database put together and the bloodcurdling roars spoke of a dread she had never experienced in her life.

White mask.

Coffins.

A blood stained blade.

"What are we…?"

It was as if she was staring at the God of Death.

"W-What is this monstrosity?"

Tsubaki tapped the earpiece as fast as she could and yelled with all that she had, not even an order but just a primal cry for help-

"Yuu!"

If you were uncomfortable during the Rachel and Minato parts then please let me know so I can give myself a pat on the back. Rachel was cooing over Julius, calling him beautiful every two seconds so makes sense she would worship Minato, being part aragami and all. Makes me wonder why Soma and Rachel are so different, maybe because the bias injection went a little too wrong for Rachel. That being said, I can't show much with aragamis so Rachel was the perfect way to convey how the other aragamis feel towards Minato. He can break them to pieces but they will still worship him, given who he is.

As far why Minato is so cruel? Well, read on but it'll be explained way late... if we get there.

I wanted to write the battle here too and make this long but the chapter was interaction heavy and the battle deserves a whole new chapter. I'm done with the buildup and as I said the story will be short so expect the pace to pick up greatly.

Reviews.

BushidoWookie: Here it is. Cheers.

Ghost Eater: Glad you like it and yes, Minato can summon personas. Question is if even needs to really, haha. Cheers!

Tora Lynch: Don't forget Ren Amamiya meeting Ren Amamiya, maybe the next protagonist in Ge4 will be named Minakoto Yukisato. You know it, more angst in the already bleak world of GE. Cheers!

ptl: Thanks for the indepth reviews and the bits of info, helped me and gave me a few ideas to play around with so cheers! I cannot say much for spoilers but the blood power is only for the blood unit, yes? Or is blood power and blood arts the same? Been a while since I've played GE2.

I do have to say, while Minato is the most powerful protagonist so far, it doesn't help him that he's a sitting duck as a seal. I wanted Akira at first but Minato just fits the role better, he is a messiah so an agent for Gods.

Again, thanks for the reviews and I hope you enjoy it all the way. Cheers!

That's it for this chapter. Please keep the reviews coming and I'll see you soon.
