Ash's Pokemon Journey
Summary: This story is about how I think that ash's journey should have gone through, Kanto, Orange Islands, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova. Smart, a psychic and an Aura user (He'll find out about being a psyphic and Aura user later). I do not own pokemon.
Chapter 22
Valencia Island and Tangelo Island
Ash and the gang soon reached Valencia Island. "Wow look at that," said Misty, looking out of the blimp's window, "it's like a tropical island". "It did say in the brochure that the Orange Islands are a lot of islands" said Brock. The blimp soon landed on the ground, and Ash and the gang got off the blimp. "Say Ash," said Misty "how do we get to Prof Ivy's lab?" "I'm afraid I don't know," said Ash "we need to ask someone". They found a pokemon center and asked Nurse Joy where Prof Ivy's lab was. "You'll find the lab at the back of the island next to the beach" she said.
Thanks to Nurse Joy's directions, the gang did find the lab. Ash knocked on the door and three triplet girls answered. "Hi I'm Charity" said one. "I'm Faith" said another. "I'm Hope" said the third. "And we're Prof Ivy's assistants" they said together. "Well I'm Ash," said Ash "and me and my friends here would like to see Prof Ivy please". "Of course" said Charity. "Prof Ivy is working with the pokemon" said Faith. "We'll take her to you" said Hope. The triplet girls led Ash and the gang to a beach. Just then a Gyarados came out from under water, which made Ash and the gang very surprised. "You do very well Gyarados" said a voice. The voice belonged to a purple haired woman and she was swimming with the Gyarados, a Cloyster and a Poliwhirl in the sea. "You three get stronger everyday" the woman said. When she saw Ash and the gang, she got out of the ocean to greet them. "Welcome," she said, putting on a lab coat, "I am Prof Ivy". "The gang introduced themselves to her. "Prof Oak told me that you had something for him" said Ash. "Yes I do, please follow me" said Prof Ivy.
Prof Ivy led the gang back to her lab. In a corner of the room there laid a pokeball, on a transporter. This pokeball was a gold and white pokeball, with the letters G and S on it. "This is what we call the GS ball," said Prof Ivy "we call it that because of the words G and S on it. The reason why I want you to deliver it to Prof Oak for me is because we can't seem to transfer it or open it". "That's right," said Faith "we tried everything to open it." "We used hammers, crowbars, flamethrowers, screwdrivers and even dynamite, but nothing worked" said Hope. "Did you try throwing it like a regular pokeball?" asked Ash. "We did," said Charity "but that didn't work either". Ash took a good look at the GS ball. 'I sense something mysterious about that that ball, but I don't know what yet' he thought. "So," said Prof Ivy "I trust you of delivering this safely to Prof Oak for me Ash". She picked up the ball and gave it to Ash, and then Ash placed it safely in his ruck sack.
Next Prof Ivy and her assistants showed Ash and the gang the back forest, where all the pokemon stay. Misty spotted some Vileplumes.
Ash looked at the Vileplume on his pokedex: Vileplume, the flower pokemon. The final evolved form of Oddish. Its petals are the largest in the world. As it walks, it scatters extremely allergenic pollen.
"Wow those Vileplumes are a bit of a different colour compared to the Vileplume on the pokedex" said Ash. Other pokemon, which lived at Prof Ivy's lab, were also a different colour. There was a Raticate with dark brown fur, a Nidoran couple with a darker version of their normal colour, some coloured red paras and a Weepinbell with a golden tan body. "Wow, how come all of these pokemon are different coloured?" asked Misty. "Well you see," said Prof Ivy "the tropical climates of this island and the other Orange Islands are different from the climates in Kanto. Naturally the different environment creates differences in the pokemon that we've raised here. I'm now collecting data and studying how environment causes variation in all our pokemon". Brock was impressed with all of this. Charity, Faith and Hope were giving the pokemon lunch. "Professor we have a problem," said Hope "this Butterfree will still not eat". The Butterfree was different coloured too. It had beige coloured wings with a red spot. "That Butterfree hasn't eaten anything in days," sighed Prof Ivy "and we've tried all sorts of nutrients". Brock took a sample of the food. "I see the problem" he said. He got some sweet berries out from his ruck sack, crushed them and sprinkled them onto Butterfree's food. Butterfree smelt the food, flew over to it and began to eat it. "That's amazing," said Prof Ivy "what did you put on the food?" "Some crushed sweet berries," explained Brock "some bug pokemon, like Butterfree, like their food sweet. And your food didn't have that much sweetness on it, which is why the Butterfree wouldn't eat". Prof Ivy and her assistants were very impressed of Brock's skills and knowledge about pokemon. "That's Brock for ya" said Ash, and explained to Prof Ivy about Brock wanting to become a great pokemon doctor.
Prof Ivy invited the gang to her house. But when they reached the house, it was not a pleasant sight. There was a pile of dirty dishes in the sink, rubbish to be thrown away, boxes full of books and papers, floors that needed mopping and clothes to be washed. "I'm afraid we haven't been able to clean up lately" Charity admitted. "So this place has become our little dump" said Faith. Brock got a sparkle in his eyes, and then he put on some rubber gloves and began tidying up. "Brock has a lot of siblings," explained Ash "cooking and cleaning is his specialty". "That Brock is one helpful person" smile Prof Ivy. Her assistants agreed with her.
That night when Ash, Pikachu, Misty, Togepi, Tomo and Growlithe had gone to bed, Prof Ivy, her assistants and Brock were still awake. The Vileplumes were spreading their pollen around, and Brock and Prof Ivy wanted to watch them do it. But there was trouble. A Raticate was walking around where the Vileplumes were spreading the pollen. "Oh no," said Prof Ivy worriedly "the Vileplume's pollen is poisonous to both people and pokemon". She ran over to Raticate to get him to safety, but she got sprayed by the poisonous pollen too. Brock covered his mouth with a handkerchief and got Prof Ivy and Raticate out of there, and Prof Ivy's assistants contacted the pokemon center right away.
Soon Prof Ivy and the Raticate were at the pokemon center and Nurse Joy made them feel better again. "Do be careful next time" Nurse Joy told Prof Ivy. Prof Ivy understood and thanked Nurse Joy, she even thanked Brock. Brock, Charity, Faith and Hope were relieved that Brock was okay.
Next day Ash, Misty and Tomo and their pokemon were getting ready to leave. Brock had told them what had happened last night and they were glad that everything was okay now. Brock was helping the assistants fix up the house and lab, with his pokemon. "Hey Brock," said Ash "we're getting ready to leave". Brock turned to the group. "I've decided to stay here with Prof Ivy;" he said "I could really learn a lot about pokemon here". "Yes," said Prof Ivy "and he would be a great help to us". The assistants agreed with her. Ash, Misty and Tomo understood; after all Brock does want to become a great pokemon doctor. They wished Brock luck and bid farewell to him. "Good luck with the Orange League" Brock said to Ash. And soon Ash, Misty and Tomo left Prof Ivy's lab, leaving Brock behind.
"It sure is going to be different without Brock around" said Misty. "Yeah," said Ash "at least this is going to help him become a pokemon doctor. And anyway you never know, we might find a new travelling companion". "So what should we do now?" asked Tomo. "Well I need to sign up for the Orange League, before I start getting the badges," said Ash "and to do that, we need to get to Tangelo Island". "So we are going to take the blimp?" said Misty. "Yep" replied Ash. So the gang got back to the airport and took a blimp ride to Tangelo Island. "Orange League here I come" said Ash.
Ash, Misty and Tomo got to Tangelo Island safely. "Okay, first we find the pokemon center, and then we plan what to do next from there" said Ash. Misty and Tomo liked that idea. On the way, they came to a beach. But what they saw on the beach made them very angry. Three trainers were beating a Lapras with wooden sticks. "Hey, what do you think you're doing?!" shouted Ash. "If you must know," said one of the trainers "we are training this pokemon for the Orange League". "That's right;" said another "now scram!" Ash got really angry and used his psychic power to hoist the three trainers into the air and flung them into the sea. "Wow that was amazing big brother" said Tomo. Misty was surprised of how Ash had managed to use and control his psychic powers. The three trainers got out of the sea. "You three have no right to be pokemon trainers," said Ash "and I don't think the Orange League would like trainers like you either". "This punk wants to pick a fight" said the third trainer. "Then we'll give him one" said the first. The three trainers sent out a pokemon each; Beedrill, Spearow and Hitmonchan. Ash had Pikachu blast them with thunderbolt, and then with their crisped pokemon in hand, the three trainers ran away in fear. "That couldn't happen to nicer trainers" said Misty.
Ash was just about to run over to the Lapras, when he heard a voice. "That was amazing" said the voice. The voice belonged to a boy, about Brock's age. "Your Pikachu's thunderbolt was amazing, and from the look at it, your Pikachu has been well trained". "I thank you for that," said Ash "but now is not the time for compliments. This Lapras was abused by those three trainers, and it needs help quickly". "All right," said the boy "I'll go get Nurse Joy, and you guys look after Lapras". Ash tried to touch Lapras, to let it know that everything was going to be okay. But Lapras kept on moving its head away; it didn't trust Ash because of what the three trainers did to it.
Soon Lapras was at the pokemon center and Nurse Joy gave it treatment at once. She had placed it in the pool outside that she kept for water pokemon. "It's a good thing that you two stop those rough trainers from hitting the Lapras", said the boy "otherwise poor Lapras would have had it worse". "I agree with that", said Misty "oh we didn't get your name". "I'm Tracey, and I am a pokemon watcher". "I've heard of pokemon watchers," said Ash "they travel all over world observing, sketching and studying pokemon Prof Oak was one too before he became a professor". "Wait, you know Prof Oak of Pallet Town?" asked Tracey. "Yes," said Ash "I live in Pallet Town". "No way, you're lucky," said Tracey "I'm a big fan of Prof Oak. Please introduce me some time". Just then Nurse Joy came out from treating Lapras. "How's Lapras?" asked Ash. "Lapras will be fine now," said Nurse Joy "but I'm afraid it has become scared of being with humans". "That doesn't surprise me one bit," said Tracey "because of what those punk trainers did, especially since it's only a baby Lapras". "That's a baby?" gasped Ash. "Tracey's right Ash," said Misty "adult Lapras are bigger than that. I know because don't forget I have a Lapras too". "But if that Lapras is a baby, then where's its mother?" asked Tomo "Where I guess that it got separated from the pod" said Nurse Joy. She explained that once a year the Lapras Pod migrates around the Orange Islands. "A few weeks ago though, there was a big storm. So the Lapras must have gotten separated then". Ash felt sorry for Lapras.
Ash, Misty, Tomo and Tracey went outside to watch Lapras. A truck was next to the pool; it was for lifting heavy pokemon like Lapras. "What shall we do about Lapras?" asked Ash. "Well we need to get it back to the ocean," said Tracey "but since it will be scared of us, we have to show that we are friends and not enemies". "I know," said Misty "I'll get my Lapras from Cerulean Gym". "That's a good idea," said Ash "and I'm pretty sure Lapras would listen to another Lapras". So Misty got her Lapras from Cerulean Gym and released into the pool. "I'm surprised that your sisters let you borrow Lapras, since they like to use it in their shows" said Ash. "When I told them of the situation they understood," said Misty "but they want her back as soon as this situation is finished". Misty's Lapras swam to the baby Lapras and told it what the humans wanted to do. At first the baby Lapras hesitated of whether to trust the humans or not because of what the punk trainers did, but thanks to Misty's Lapras' persuasion, the baby Lapras agreed to trust them. "It seems your plan worked Misty," said Tracey "the baby Lapras trusts us now".
The baby Lapras was just about to swim towards the truck, when suddenly some bazookas flew over to it and flung a big net over it. "Where did that come from?" gasped Ash. It was Team Rocket; they had their eyes on both Misty's Lapras and the baby Lapras. "These two Lapras will make us rich" said Meowth. Tracey was surprised that Meowth could talk, but he was cross when Ash explained to him that Team Rocket kidnap pokemon and uses them for their dirty work. "You're not taking these Lapras anywhere!" shouted Ash. He used Ivysaur to cut the net with razor leaf and had Pikachu blast Team Rocket away with thunderbolt.
Misty was delighted that her Lapras was okay and Ash checked the baby Lapras. "Are you all right Lapras?" he asked. Lapras cooed. "Listen Lapras, I know that you got separated from your pod. But I am going to help you get back to the pod". Lapras looked into Ash's eyes and could tell that he's telling the truth and accepted his help. Ash pulled out a pokeball and caught Lapras. "As soon as we find the pod I'll release him" Ash said.
Soon it was time for Ash, Misty and Tomo to leave Tangelo Island. Before they did leave, Tracey asked them if he could come along with them. "That way I can see more pokemon and places and meet Prof Oak when you get back to Kanto" he explained. "Ash, Misty and Tomo saw nothing wrong with that, and accepted Tracey into the group. So with a new friend and pokemon in the group, Ash and the gang started the journey for the Orange League.
Before you starting asking questions, I'll make some things straight; 1. Ash will not release Lapras, but I have planned of what happenes when they meet the pod. 2. I thought it was ridiculous that they never mentioned of what happened with the G.S. ball, so I have planned of what to do with the G.S. Ball, but you will have to wait till I do the movie about Celebi.
