Ash's Pokemon Journey
Summary: This story is about how I think that ash's journey should have gone through, Kanto, Orange Islands, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova. Smart, a psychic and an Aura user (He'll find out about being a psyphic and Aura user later). I do not own pokemon.
Note: I am not doing the Kalos Region. So fairy pokemon don't exist.
Chapter 31
The Forest, Cherrygrove City
and Catallia City
The gang were walking through a big forest. "This forest is so beautiful," said Misty "it's very green and nothing wrong at all". "Uh actually there is" said Brock, pointing to some trees. Some trees in the forest looked dead. "What happened to these trees?" asked Ash. "I don't know," said Brock "I mean they don't look burned or diseased and it's not autumn yet".
Just then Tomo noticed something. "Hey look at that" he said, pointing to a big tree. The tree had some big, dark blue beetles on it and they were sucking tree sap. There was also some Butterfree beside them. Misty started to freak out because they were bug pokemon.
"The blue pokemon are Heracross" said Ash and looked them up on the pokedex: Heracross, the single horn pokemon. Though gentle and docile, Heracross possesses great strength and power. Its favourite food is the fresh sap of leafy trees.
"Do you think they're the ones who killed the trees?" asked Tomo. "No I don't think the Heracross and Butterfree are responsible," said Ash "I mean it's natural for bug pokemon to eat tree sap, and the bug pokemon also help trees grow". "You're right Ash," said Brock "I think something is going on in this forest". "Something is going on in this forest" said a voice.
The voice belonged to a middle aged man, with a beard, in a ranger outfit. "I'm Woodruff" said the man "and I'm a ranger of this forest". The gang introduced themselves to Woodruff. "So what is going on in this forest Woodruff?" asked Brock. "The bug pokemon Pinsir is what's going on," said Woodruff "you see this forest belongs to Heracross and Butterfree and Pinsir have their own forest too. But recently something has been driving the Pinsir to move from their forest to this forest. Pinsir eat tree sap too and they have been sucking sap from these trees. If I don't stop the Pinsir and send them back to their forest, well I fear this forest could end up destroyed".
The gang decided that they should do something about this before things got worse. Even Misty agreed to help; even though she doesn't like bug pokemon, she still wouldn't like to see a forest destroyed. Woodruff led the way to the forest where the Pinsir lived, and to their surprise a Heracross was following them. "What does that Heracross want?" asked Misty. "I don't know," said Brock "but let's just keep on going". They came to a rope bridge, across a gorge, that would take them to the Pinsir forest, but it was broken. "That's strange," said Woodruff "this rope bridge was fine when I was here yesterday. Hmm I fear that who or what ever caused the Pinsir to leave their, doesn't want us to enter the Pinsir's forest". Just then the Heracross, that was following the group, pushed a tree that was close to the rope bridge, and the tree landed across the gorge. The group used the tree to get across safe and sound.
When they reached the Pinsir's territory, they suddenly noticed something in a tree. It was a Pinsir, but bigger. "Do Pinsir grow that big?" asked Misty, a little scared. "No they don't," said Woodruff "besides that Pinsir isn't even real. That's a robot Pinsir and it is sucking out the tree sap from that tree". "But who would build something like that?" asked Ash.
Suddenly a man came out of the tree and was laughing. "It was clever of me to build this machine," he said to himself "with all this sap that I'm collecting, I'll be rich after selling". Woodruff stepped forward, looking very cross. "You will be in jail too!" he shouted "how dare you use nature for a selfish reason". "That's right!" shouted Ash "because of you the balance of nature is in trouble". "So what?" smirked the man "as long as this stuff makes me money, nothing else matters". The man threw five pokeballs and five Beedrill came out of them. "Attack them" he commanded. Ash and Tomo had Pikachu and Growlithe attack the Beedrill with thunderbolt and flamethrower. Then Misty had her Gloom attack the robot Pinsir with solar beam. The man tried to get away with all the sap he collected, but he got stopped by the wild Pinsir. Woodruff tied the man up with rope. "You're under arrest for sabotaging a forest" he said.
So in the end the man got arrested and was sent to jail and the Pinsir got their forest back, and the Heracross and Butterfree could finally live in peace in their forest again. "I can't thank you kids enough," Woodruff said to the gang "thanks to your help the forest is safe again. And hopefully it will stay like that". "Me too" said Brock. Suddenly the Heracross, which had been following the group, stepped forward. "Hey it's that same Heracross" said Brock. "What is it doing here?" asked Tomo. Ash had a thought. "Do you want to come with us Heracross?" he asked. Heracross nodded its head to say yes. "I thought so" smiled Ash. He through a pokeball at Heracross and captured it. "All right I caught a Heracross!"
After capturing Heracross, the gang said goodbye to Woodruff and left the forest to continue to Violet City.
After traveling through a forest, the gang made it to a city called Cherrygrove City. "This seems a good place to relax a bit" said Brock. Just then they heard someone shouting; "Stop thief!" and then a brown pokemon, with a big tail, ran by them. "What was that?" gasped Misty. A middle aged man ran up to them. "Did you see that Sentret run by here?" he asked. The gang pointed the way the pokemon ran and the man continued to run. "What was that all about?" asked Ash. "Yeah, and what's going on?" asked Brock.
The gang entered the city and told the city's Officer Jenny about what had just happened. "This has happened for a week now," she said "you see this Sentret has been nicking food from stores and whenever someone tries to catch it with a pokemon, that Sentret easily defeats it".
Ash looked at Sentret on the pokedex: Sentret, the scout pokemon. It stands on its tail so it can see a long way. If it spots an enemy, it cries loudly to warn its kind.
Brock looked thoughtful. "Sentret are usually a shy type pokemon," he said "so it's quite unusual for a Sentret to do something like this". "Well this Sentret doesn't sound shy and it also sounds feisty to me" said Misty. "Do you think there some sort of reason that Sentret is doing this?" asked Ash. "I don't know," said Brock "but we should find out".
The gang went back to when they first saw Sentret, outside the city, and Brock placed a sandwich onto the ground. "We can use the sandwich to spy on Sentret," he said "that way we can find out why it's stealing food". Ash, Tomo and Misty thought that was a great idea and they all hid in the bushes to see what happens. The Sentret arrived a few seconds later, picked up the sandwich and started to run off. "Okay let's follow it," whispered Brock "but quietly and carefully, we don't want Sentret to know we're following it". They carefully followed Sentret to a clearing in a wood and there was something that surprised the gang. A deer like pokemon was lying down on the grass and it looked sick and injured. "It's a Stantler," gasped Brock "and it's a young one too".
Ash looked up Stantler on the pokedex: Stantler, the big horn pokemon. Staring at its antlers creates an odd sensation as if one were being drawn into their centres.
"This must be the reason Sentret was stealing food" said Ash. "Yes, it did it to look after Stantler" said Misty. Brock stepped forward to help Stantler. Sentret noticed Brock and got ready to fight him. "Easy Sentret," said Brock "I'm not here to harm your friend, I wish to help Stantler". Sentret stared at Brock, and then accepted his help. Brock picked up the baby Stantler, and then he and the group went to the pokemon center with Sentret.
After they bought the Stantler to Nurse Joy, Brock explained Officer Jenny about what they found out. "I see," said Officer Jenny "so it stole food for the baby Stantler. At least it wasn't for a selfish reason". Nurse Joy came out of the operating room. "Stantler is just fine now," she said "I've given it some medicine and took care of its leg. It just need to rest now, and then it will be right as rain". The gang were relieved by this. "I wonder why a baby Stantler is doing here by itself though" said Misty. "I think I might know why" said Officer Jenny. Officer Jenny said that six days ago an old couple who were breeders kept some pokemon eggs. But that day they moved away to another city and took the eggs with them, but what they didn't know, until too late, that they had left one behind; a Stantler egg. "The old couple contacted me about it and I tried to find the egg, but I never found it". "So that means that egg hatched all on its own," said Ash, sadly, "and the baby Stantler has been all on its own this whole time". "Yes," said Misty "and my guess is Sentret found the baby Stantler and decided to take care of it". Ash asked the Sentret if Misty was right and it jumped up and down to say yes. "You're a really nice pokemon" Ash said to Sentret with a smile.
That night the gang slept in the pokemon center. Brock stayed with Stantler, just in case, and Sentret did the same. Next day Stantler was completely better. "I'm glad to see that you are okay Stantler" said Brock. The baby Stantler walked up to Brock and nuzzled him. "It seems to me that Stantler likes you very much Brock" said Ash. "I think you should keep it" said Misty. "I would like to," said Brock "but this Stantler belongs to that old couple and it should go back to them". Just then Officer Jenny came into the center. "I just contacted the old couple I told you about last night," she said "and they want to talk to you Brock". Brock spoke with the old couple on the phone, and then got off again quite soon. "Is everything okay Brock?" asked Ash. "What did they say?" asked Tomo. "The old couple said that I can keep Stantler," said Brock "I showed them Stantler over the phone and they saw how happy Stantler was with me. So they are giving it to me". "Wow," good for you Brock" said Ash, happy for his friend. "That's great Brock" said Tomo. "You deserve it" said Misty. So Brock caught the baby Stantler for himself. 'I'll take good care of you Stantler' he thought.
Ash turned to Sentret. "Hey Sentret," he said "I would like to battle you". Sentret was surprised by that. "Apart from being nice, you are also strong. I would like to have a pokemon like you". Sentret stared at Ash and accepted the battle. They went to the wood to battle, in case doing it in the city would cause trouble. Ash sent out Pikachu to battle Sentret. "Okay Pikachu use quick attack" he said. Pikachu charged at Sentret. Sentret dodged Pikachu by jumping, with the help of its tail, then it wacked Pikachu with its glowing white tail. "That Sentret knows iron tail" said Brock. Then Sentret scratched Pikachu. "That was Slash attack," said Ash "alright Pikachu use thunderbolt". Pikachu shocked Sentret a lot, but Sentret didn't feel like giving up. "This Sentret has a lot of spunk," said Ash "and I want it even more. Okay Pikachu quick attack one more time". Pikachu charged into Sentret, which made Sentret more hurt. Ash threw a pokeball at Sentret and successfully captured it. Ash was happy to have caught Sentret, and when he checked it on the pokedex he realised that the Sentret was female and knew the moves; quick attack, iron tail, headbutt, swift, super fang and the egg move slash. "Wow this Sentret has some good moves," smiled Ash "I think she will be great".
And so with Stantler and Sentret in tow, Ash and the gang left Cherrygrove City to continue the journey.
The gang were enjoying their new journey in the Johto region; they had been to new places and they had seen new pokemon that they had never seen before. Sometime after capturing Stantler and Sentret, they had seen the elephant pokemon called Donphan and seen an owl pokemon called Hoothoot. Ash was enjoying seeing new pokemon every day. Right now the gang were resting in the pokemon center at a city called Catallia City. Ash and Brock was checking out Nurse Joy's pokemon. Her pokemon looked like a Chansey, but bigger and had a different hair style.
Ash looked up the pokemon on the pokedex: Blissey, the happiness form. The evolved form of Chansey. This kind hearted Pokémon nurses sick Pokémon back to health. It senses feelings of sadness.
"So that means you're two Chanseys may evolve into this Brock" said Ash. Brock smiled; he liked the idea of having a Blissey.
Suddenly they heard a commotion outside. "What's going on?" asked Misty. They saw police cars driving down the street. "Sounds like trouble is going on," said Brock "let's check it out". The gang followed the cars to where they were going and came to a house. The police were there and Officer Jenny was observing some coins that were on the ground. The gang ran up to Officer Jenny. "What's going on?" asked Ash. "A burglary happened here," said Officer Jenny "and this is the third house this week that has been robbed". Just then she noticed Pikachu, Togepi and Growlithe. "Oh hang on a minute, are you four Ash, Tomo, Misty and Brock?" "Yes we are," said Misty "but how do you know our names?" "My cousin in New Bark Town told me about you," said Officer Jenny "she told me how you helped her with Team Rocket when they stole a Totodile from Prof Elm's lab". The gang felt proud. "So who's the thief that has been stealing things?" asked Tomo. "We don't know who it is," said Officer Jenny "but whoever it is, he is imitating the Black Arachnid". "Black Arachnid?" asked Brock "Isn't he the famous cat burglar, who lived here 100 years ago?" Before Officer Jenny could answer a green, yellow and black spider appeared on her shoulder. "Hi Spinarak" she smiled. Misty started to freak out because Spinarak was a bug type.
Ash looked at Spinarak on his pokedex: Spinarak, the string spit pokemon. It spins a web using fine-but durable-thread. It then waits patiently for prey to be trapped.
"Wow," said Ash "but I thought it was only Growlithe that worked with police". "Normally it is," said Officer Jenny "but here in Catallia City, it has been a tradition to use Spinarak. You see back when the Black Arachnid was around, my ancestor Officer Jenny from eight generations ago used her partner Spinarak to catch the Black Arachnid and his partner Meowth, using its web. And ever since that time my family have had Spinarak as their partner. To tell you the truth my Spinarak is a descendant of the Spinarak that help my ancestor 100 years ago". "That's a cool story" said Ash.
Just then a police officer gave a report to Officer Jenny. Apparently someone had received a warning from the Black Arachnid that he would come to steal from his house next, at midnight tonight. Officer Jenny went to a house, where the Black Arachnid said he would strike next. The owner was an old man. "I'm glad you're here Officer Jenny," the old man said "here is the warning note I got from the Black Arachnid". He showed her a card that he left behind. "There's no doubt that the thief is imitating the Black Arachnid" said Officer Jenny. The old man showed Officer Jenny and the gang what the thief was after. It was a silver trophy and had pictures of some pokemon on it. "Don't worry sir," Officer Jenny said to the old man "we will catch that criminal tonight".
That night everyone got ready for the Black Arachnid. Officer Jenny's Spinarak set up its sticky web traps. Ash sent out Heracross and Sentret, Misty sent out her Gloom and two Poliwags and Brock sent out his Weepinbell and Zubat. Tomo and his Growlithe and Misty's Togepi were in bed at the pokemon center asleep; Tomo was too sleepy to wait for the thief as well. "Okay now we wait till midnight" said Officer Jenny. It wasn't easy for the gang to stay awake all through the night. "Oh man," yawned Ash "I am so going to bed when this is finished". "So am I" said Misty.
When midnight stroke, there was no sign of the Black Arachnid yet. "Do you think that he was bluffing about this stunt tonight?" asked Ash. "He could have been," said Officer Jenny "but we better still stay alert". Suddenly all the lights went off. "What's going on!" shouted Brock. Just then everyone heard a laugh. "Who's there!" demanded Officer Jenny. A light appeared and there in the middle of the room was a man all dressed in black with a mask on and beside him was a Meowth. "The Black Arachnid!" gasped Officer Jenny. "I have come here to claim what I want," the Black Arachnid smirked "Meowth use pay day". A flurry of gold coins flew out of Meowth's charm and hit everyone. After the flying coins stopped the lights came back on again, but the Black Arachnid was gone and so was the trophy. "He might be outside" said Officer Jenny. She and the gang ran outside to see if he was there.
The Black Arachnid was outside and was about to try and get away, when he got stopped by the gang's pokemon and by Spinarak's web. "Surrender Black Arachnid!" shouted Officer Jenny. "Never!" he shouted, and started to run through the garden to escape. What he didn't know was that Misty's Gloom had hidden itself in the flower bed. As soon as he got near the garden wall to escape, Misty's Gloom popped out of the flower bed and sprayed her smell at him. "Good job Gloom!" Misty cried out. The Black Arachnid and his Meowth got put off by the smell and tried to run away again. But before they had a chance too, Officer Jenny's Spinarak appeared in front of them and trapped them in its web life a fly. "History has repeated itself," smiled Officer Jenny "the Black Arachnid caught by Spinarak's web, just like 100 years ago". "Except this time you got help by Gloom's smell" Misty chuckled. "Now let's see who's imitating the Black Arachnid" said Brock.
Officer Jenny took off the mask and hat and revealed a young man with brown hair. "I should have known you would have done this" said Officer Jenny. "You know him Officer Jenny?" asked Ash. "Yes I do," said Officer Jenny "this man, Jeremiah, is actually a descendant of the original Black Arachnid". The gang was surprised. "So committing crimes runs in his family" said Misty. The police took him and his Meowth away, while they were still caught in the sticky web.
The next afternoon, the gang got ready to leave Catallia City. They had a long sleep in as they were up till midnight last night, and now they were all refreshed and ready to go. Ash told Tomo all about what had happened last night. Tomo was relieved that the thief was caught. Before they left, Officer Jenny spoke with the gang. "I can't thank you kids enough for all your help," she said "and all the stolen items are back to their owners. If you ever want to become detectives, I'll gladly welcome you". "Thanks Officer Jenny," said Ash "but my heart is to becoming a pokemon master". "My heart is to becoming a water pokemon master" said Misty. "My heart is to become a pokemon doctor" said Brock. "And I prefer traveling around the world with my big brother" said Tomo. "I see" replied Officer Jenny, with a smile.
The gang bid farewell to Officer Jenny and left Catallia City.
For those that don't know where my movies are; go to my profile and you will find them under 'Pokemon Movies'. I didn't want them together with the story. I know it was Team Rocket, who did the tree sap and Black Arachnid thing, but I wanted to use different characters. On my pokemon games I have pokemon that know egg moves and I like them, which is why I use egg moves in this story. They should have given Brock a Stantler.
