Ash's Pokemon Journey
Summary: This story is about how I think that ash's journey should have gone through, Kanto, Orange Islands, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova. Smart, a psychic and an Aura user (He'll find out about being a psyphic and Aura user later). I do not own pokemon.
Note: I am not doing the Kalos Region. So fairy pokemon don't exist.
Chapter 33
Cyndaquil, Kurt and Azalea Town Gym
After earning a Zephyr Badge from Violet City, the gang were on their way to get Ash's second badge. Brock was looking at the map book of Johto. "According to this," he said "the next place to earn a gum badge is called Azalea Town". "Azalea Town?" said Ash "oh hang on a minute, Prof Oak said that Kurt lives there". "That's good," said Misty "that way we can do Prof Oak's errand and get the gym badge at the same time". "I do hope this Kurt guy does find out about this GS ball," said Ash "cause I'm really anxious to know about it". Tomo, Misty and Brock were anxious about the GS ball too.
Suddenly a purpled haired boy came up to them. "Hey," he said rudely "you better not get in my way while I catch Cyndaquil". "Cyndaquil?" asked Misty. "That's right," said the boy "wild Cyndaquil live in this forest, and I plan to catch one. So again don't get in the way". Then he left. "Goodness me, what a rude person!" exclaimed Misty. "Yeah," agreed Brock "and if he does catch a Cyndaquil, I'll feel sorry for it". Ash turned to the others. "If you three don't mind, I wish to catch myself a Cyndaquil" he said. Ash was eager to catch each starter pokemon of Johto like he did in Kanto. He already had a Chikorita, now he could catch Cyndaquil. "Go ahead Ash," smiled Brock "just make sure you catch it before that purple haired guys does". Ash nodded and he and Pikachu left the others to look for a Cyndaquil.
Ash and Pikachu walked through many grassy areas with trees to search for Cyndaquil, but they couldn't find one yet. "Man I thought we would find one by now" said Ash. Just then Pikachu noticed something and showed Ash what he saw. On a big wall of rock, with small caves, was a Cyndaquil standing outside a small cave. "All right a Cyndaquil," said Ash "good work buddy".
Ash took out the pokedex: Cyndaquil, the fire mouse pokemon. It has a timid nature. If it is startled, the flames on its back burn more vigorously.
"Okay Pikachu," said Ash "let's catch it".
Ash and Pikachu started to climb up the rocky mountain. "I hope that Cyndaquil doesn't leave before I get up there" said Ash. Unfortunately troubled appeared; the purple boy from earlier had turned up. The boy noticed Ash and the wild Cyndaquil. "That Cyndaquil is mine kid" he said. He sent out a Sandslash from a pokeball. "Stop that kid with sand attack" the boy said to his Sandslash. Sandslash climbed up the rocky mountain, stopped on a small cave edge above Ash, and sprayed sand don on Ash to make him loose his footing while climbing. "Hey, what are you doing?" shouted Ash. "I'm catching that Cyndaquil kid!" said the boy. Cyndaquil noticed what had just happened, and then it ran off. The boy and his Sandslash ran after Cyndaquil.
Ash began to climb up the mountain again. "Come on Pikachu," he said "let's get Cyndaquil before that looser does". "Pika" replied Pikachu. Ash and Pikachu climbed to an edge of one of the caves and ran into the cave. Inside the cave were lots of tunnels. "Oh man," said Ash "Cyndaquil could be anywhere in here". Just then they heard a noise; a crashing noise. "What was that?" asked Ash. He and Pikachu rushed to see what was going on. When they saw the answer, they were not happy. The purple haired boy had caught up with the Cyndaquil and he was ordering his Sandslash to attack Cyndaquil like crazy. Sandslash was throwing swift attack, sand attack and poison sting attack at Cyndaquil like crazy, and the poor Cyndaquil was having trouble trying to get away. Ash and Pikachu did not like that at all. "Come on Pikachu," said Ash "I can't stand this trainer's behaviour". He sent out Sentret and ordered her to use ice beam to freeze the boy and his Sandslash. She froze them in a black of ice in a second. "That guy needed some cooling off" said Ash, and he returned Sentret.
After blocking the trainer and his Sandslash, Ash and Pikachu brought Cyndaquil out of the cave. "Man that was a nightmare," Ash sighed "are you okay Cyndaquil?" Cyndaquil nodded to say 'yes'. Cyndaquil was surprised that Ash had saved him from the human with the Sandslash. "Seriously even if that guy was just trying to catch you, his way of catching you was just wrong". Just then the boy turned up. "There you are!" he shouted "Get away from that Cyndaquil, it's mine!" Ash got angry and stood in front of Cyndaquil. "I will not let someone like you catch this Cyndaquil," he said "an unfair person like you don't deserve a Cyndaquil". "Oh want a fight eh?" asked the boy "okay I'll challenge you to a pokemon battle. If I win I keep Cyndaquil, but if I lose you will keep it". Ash couldn't believe this trainer; making a pokemon the prize for a pokemon battle. "Very well, I accept your challenge" said Ash.
Ash and the trainer got ready to battle. Cyndaquil watched from the side; it was nervous about which trainer would win. The trainer sent out his Sandslash to battle and Ash decided to use Sentret. "Humph wimpy trainer using a wimpy pokemon" said the trainer. "Don't underestimate us!" said Ash "come on Sentret, let's show this looser what we can do". Sentret nodded as if to say 'lets'. "Okay Sandslash, use poison sting" said the trainer. Sandslash fired white needles, from the quills of its back, at Sentret. "Thunderbolt those needles" said Ash. Sentret's thunderbolt blasted the white needles to bits. "Use fury swipes!" shouted the trainer. "Use hyper voice" said Ash. Sentret screamed and released multiple light blue rings from her mouth at Sandslash, causing Sandslash to stop in its tracks. "Oh come on!" shouted Sandslash's trainer "get back to fighting Sandslash". Ash could tell that this trainer was not nice to his own pokemon. "Use ice beam" he said to Sentret. Sentret fired a beam of ice at Sandslash, freezing it and causing it to faint. Ash won the pokemon battle.
Ash was happy with his victory, but the other trainer wasn't. "I may have lost the battle," he said "but I will get that Cyndaquil". He took out an empty pokeball from his pocket and got ready to toss it at Cyndaquil. "What are you doing?" shouted Ash "I won the pokemon battle, so I get to keep Cyndaquil". "No way punk," the trainer said "I will get that Cyndaquil no matter what". Ash got really angry and was just about to command Pikachu to use thunderbolt on the trainer, when Cyndaquil stepped forward. "Cyndaquil?" said Ash. Cyndaquil flames appeared on its back and then it blew flamethrower at the trainer. The trainer got badly burnt and ran away in fear. "That couldn't happen to a nicer trainer" said Ash. Then he turned to Cyndaquil. "Would you like to come with me?" Cyndaquil accept Ash's offer and jumped into his arms. Ash hugged Cyndaquil in return, happy to have a new pokemon.
When Ash and Pikachu got back to the others, he told them what had happened. "It's a good thing that you have captured Cyndaquil Ash," said Misty "that guy doesn't deserve one". "Yeah and I hope he trains himself more" said Brock. Tomo, Misty and Brock were happy for Ash for having a Cyndaquil. "I wonder if I can catch a Totodile next," said Ash "then I will have the whole Johto starter set like I have the whole Kanto starter pokemon set". "Maybe you will" smiled Brock. Then the others set off again for Azalea Town.
Sometime after capturing Cyndaquil, the gang made it to Azalea Town. Azalea Town was one of those peaceful towns surrounded by nature. When they first set foot in the town, they found out that the people there respected Slowpoke because they bring the rain whenever they yawned together. And the Slowpoke lived in Azalea Town as well as the Slowpoke well, which was an underground river filled with Slowpoke. "I find it amazing that this whole town is filled with Slowpoke" said Misty. "I know what you mean," said Ash "I mean it's normally forests, lakes, meadows and oceans and skies that are filled with pokemon. And I know cities and towns get wild pokemon, but this seems a bit crazy". "Well since Slowpoke is worshipped here, it doesn't surprise me really," said Brock "but I suggest we look for Kurt now.
While they were looking for Kurt, Ash was looking at some sort of brochure, which he had picked up in Azalea Town's pokemon center. "What is that brochure about Ash?" asked Misty. "It's about Kurt and how his famous for making pokeballs out of apricorns" "Apricorns?" asked Misty. "Yeah they are like giant berries," said Brock "except humans and pokemon can't eat them because their skin is very rough". "That's right," said Ash "and there are seven different kinds of apricorns, so Kurt makes seven different types of pokeballs with them". "Wow that sounds interesting," said Misty "I'd like to see how Kurt does it". "So do I" said Tomo. Ash looked at the brochure some more. "Oh it also says here that you can make juice with apricorns," he said "but you need to have a machine called an apriblender to make it". "Oh really?" asked Brock. "Yes," said Ash "the juice is called aprijuice and it's a sort of energy drinks for pokemon to make them strong". Brock was interested by that.
Soon they finally arrived at where Kurt lived; an old japenese house. When they got there, a little girl came to greet them. "Hi there, what are you here for?" she asked. "Hi there," said Ash "we are here to see Kurt". "My grandpa is in his workshop making pokeballs," said the girl "I'll take you to him. My name is Maisy by the way". Maisy led the gang to Kurt's workshop; it was a big shed outside the house. Am old man was putting something in an oven. "Grandpa, someone is here to see you" said Maisy. The old man stood up and looked at the gang. "Welcome," he said "and what can I do you?" "Nice to meet you Kurt," said Ash "my friends and I are here because Prof Oak asked us to give you something". Ash took out the GS ball from rucksack and gave it to Kurt. "Prof Oak had no idea what this ball really was, so he thought you may find out about it". "Well," said Kurt, looking at the GS ball, "this ball is certainly a mystery, but I will see what I can do to solve it". "Yeah no need to worry," said Maisy "if anyone can figure out this mysterious ball, Grandpa can".
Ash then asked Kurt if he could make the special pokeballs out of Apricorns for him. "The truth is I'm interested about this special type of pokeballs," he said "so would it be okay if I have one each of the seven pokeballs". Misty thought that was a bit greedy, but Kurt agreed to do it. "Certainly Ash," he said "but you will need to grab some apricorns for me first". Ash understood and Maisy offered to help the gang.
Maisy showed the gang a tree that was growing outside the house. White things were growing in the tree. "Those are white apricorns," said Maisy "grandpa uses those to make fast balls. Fast balls are used to catch pokemon that move quickly". "Are they okay to pick?" asked Ash. "The ones on the lower branch are," said Maisy, pointing to the ripe ones, "before you pick one I want to explain something first. You must be careful when picking apricorns because if you pick them like crazy and before they are even ripe, the apricorns trees would end up destroyed. So you should only pick them when they are all ready to be picked and not take too many at once". The gang understood and promised to be careful, and then Ash picked a white apricorn.
Next Maisy took the gang to a forest near Azalea Town. "We can get the other apricorns here" she said. She first led them to a tree with pink apricorns. "Those pink apricorns are for making love balls," said Maisy "you can catch pokemon of a different gender with them". "That's cool," said Ash. Maisy showed Ash which one was okay to pick and he picked it. The next tree was filled with yellow apricorns, which are used to make moon balls, which are used to catch pokemon that can evolve by moon stones. The next tree was filled with green apricorns, which are used to make friend balls, which are used to catch pokemon, but makes them friendlier. The next tree was filled with red apricorns, which are used to make level balls, which catch wild pokemon that are weak. The next tree was filled with blue apricorns, which are used to make lure balls, which are used to catch water pokemon. The last tree was filled with black apricorns, which are used to make heavy balls, which are used to catch pokemon that weigh a lot. In no time at all, Ash had seven different coloured apricorns for Kurt to make into different pokeballs. Misty picked two blue apricorns for herself, Tomo picked a blue apricorn, a red apricorn and a green apricorn for himself and Brock picked a black apricorn for himself. "I can't wait to see how the pokeballs will turn out" said Ash. Tomo, Misty and Brock were excited too.
Just then Brock saw something in the tree. "Hey look there" he said. Some pokemon that looked like giant pinecones was hanging from a tree. "Those are Pineco" said Maisy.
Ash looked at Pineco on his pokedex: Pineco, the bagworm pokemon. Appears calm as it hangs quietly on tree branches, but it will self-destruct at the slightest provocation.
"Goodness that sounds scary to me" said Misty. "Not to me," said Brock "I want one". He ran towards the tree where the Pineco were. "I wish to catch one of you". The biggest Pineco there was jumped from off the tree. "Wow that Pineco doesn't seem afraid of being captured" said Misty. "I'll say" said Ash. Brock sent out Geodude to battle Pineco. "As Geodude is a rock type," said Ash "Pineco won't have a chance, since it's a bug type pokemon". "What?" gasped Misty "Pineco is a bug pokemon?" "Yes, they may not look like a bug but they are" said Ash. "Well Pineco don't look creepy to me" said Misty. Ash and Tomo were relieved that Misty wasn't screaming like mad as she always does around bug pokemon. "Okay Geodude, tackle that Pineco" said Brock. Geodude charged into Pineco. Pineco jumped and then shot stars from its body at Geodude. "That Pineco knows swift," said Ash "it must be its egg move". The stars did hit Geodude, but not that much damage as normal moves like swift wouldn't work on rock type pokemon. "Use mega punch Geodude" said Brock. Geodude's fist glowed white and then he punched Pineco really hard. Pineco got really hurt by that punch. Then Pineco started to glow white. "Oh no," said Maisy "it's going to use self-destruct". "Brock better hurry up and do something before it does do that" said Misty. "Now to catch it" said Brock. He pulled out a red, white and yellow sort of pokeball from his pocket. "Hey that's a fast ball" said Maisy. "Really?" asked Ash "when did Brock get that?" Brock threw the fast ball at Pineco and Pineco was captured. Ash, Tomo, Misty and Maisy congratulated Brock for his capture. "Hey Brock, when did you get a fast ball?" asked Ash. "At the pokemon center," said Brock "there was an empty fast ball on the floor and I asked Nurse Joy if it belonged to anyone, and apparently no one claimed for it. So I decided to have it". "I see" replied Ash. Ash didn't mind that Brock got a special ball first, because he was going to have a bunch of them later.
Soon they went back to Kurt's house and the gang gave the apricorns to him. "Thank you," said Kurt "I will start making them into pokeballs right away. But you will have to wait until tomorrow for them". "That's okay," said Ash "we are going to the gym tomorrow. So we will pick them up after". "Hey did you learn anything about the GS ball yet?" asked Misty. "I'm afraid not yet," said Kurt "but I will find out and let you know as soon as I can". The gang hoped that Kurt would find out about it.
That night the gang were resting in the pokemon center. "I can't wait till we get our special pokeballs" said Tomo. "Neither can I" said Ash. "Hey Ash," said Misty "what pokemon are you going to use in the gym battle?" "That's easy," said Ash "Chikorita, Cyndaquil and Lugia". "Huh, is Lugia ready for a gym battle?" asked Brock. "Yep, I've trained him many times and taught him some new moves, so he is ready now" said Ash. Soon they all fell asleep.
The next day it was time for Ash's second gym battle and the gang were walking to Azalea Town's gym. "So Ash," said Misty "do you know what type of gym Azalea Town's gym is?" "Actually Misty I do," Ash said "but I don't think you will like this one". "Why not?" asked Misty. "Because this gym is a bug type gym" replied Ash. Misty began to turn pale. "Oh great!" she cried "of all the types it just had to be bug pokemon". "There she goes creeping out again" whispered Tomo. "I'm going to feel sorry for the gym leader" whispered Brock. "Hey Misty," said Ash "if you want, you can stay at the pokemon center and not watch the gym battle". "No way!" shouted Misty "bugs or not, I don't intend to miss any of your gym battles Ash". Then Misty began walking in front of the boys. "Is she going to be all right?" asked Tomo. "I don't know," replied Ash "but we better keep an eye on her".
Finally they reached Azalea Gym; it was like a giant green house. When they entered the gym, trees and grass was everywhere. "Wow, this is just like a forest" said Brock. "Yeah this reminds me of Viridian Forest back in Kanto" said Ash. Misty was walking slowly and keeping her eyes open for bug pokemon. Sure enough, the gang ended up seeing Caterpie, Metapod, Weedle and Kakuna. Misty stated to scream when she saw them. "Oh boy," sighed Ash "I do hope she doesn't scream while I have my gym battle". "Hey would you stop the screaming please" said a voice.
A boy about thirteen years old, with lavender hair, walked up to the gang. "Sorry about my friend's screaming," said Ash "she is afraid of bug pokemon". "If she's afraid of bug pokemon," said the boy "then why is she here then?" "I'm here to battle the gym leader, and she wants to watch me," said Ash "and my name is Ash". "I see," said the boy "well I'm Bugsy the gym leader of Azalea Gym and I accept your challenge Ash". Bugsy led the gang to the battle arena; it was in the middle of the gym with lots of grass and trees surrounding it. "Since I use bug pokemon, I intended to make my gym like a forest, since bug pokemon love forests" said Bugsy. "I understand what Bugsy means," said Brock "gym leaders like to make their gyms just right for whatever type of pokemon they use". Misty understood too; her gym was an aquarium for water pokemon.
Now it was time for the gym battle to begin. Ash and Bugsy got ready to battle on the arena, while Misty, Tomo and Brock stayed by the side lines to watch. Misty was still looking nervous because of the bug pokemon. 'I hope this gym battle will finish soon,' she thought 'I can't stand being in this bug gym'. "The gym battle between Bugsy the Azalea Town gym leader and Ash Ketchum the challenger will now begin," said the referee "it is a three on three pokemon battle and whoever defeats three pokemon first wins. The challenger can switch pokemon but the gym leader can't".
Bugsy's first pokemon was a Spinarak. Ash sent out Chikorita. "Why did you send out a grass pokemon to battle my Spinarak?" asked Bugsy. Grass pokemon were weak against bug pokemon. "Because I don't care about type much," replied Ash "and I have faith in Chikorita". "Very well then," said Bugsy "Spinarak use string shot". Spinarak shot its web towards Chikorita. "Dodge it Chikorita" said Ash. Chikorita ran fast to dodge the string shot. "Now use your vine whip". Chikorita shot out her two vines towards Spinarak. "Use your web to dodge Spinarak" said Bugsy. Spinarak shot its string shot on a tree branch and swung from the tree to dodge Chikorita's vine whip, and then it kept on swinging from tree to tree. "This Ash is my strategy of a bug pokemon's speed" said Bugsy. Ash was impressed, but he didn't have the time to be impressed. Chikorita tried to hit Spinarak with vine whip again, but Spinarak was moving too fast. "We need to slow the Spinarak down," said Ash "Chikorita use sweet scent". Chikorita sprayed a pink powder, from her leaf, towards Spinarak, making Spinarak stop in its tracks from the smell. "Now's our chance, Chikorita tackle it". Chikorita tackled Spinarak at great force, causing Spinarak to faint. "Spinarak is unable to battle," said the referee "this challenge goes to Chikorita". Chikorita was happy and jumped into Ash's arms in happiness. "That was a clever way of Ash using Chikorita's sweet scent to distract Spinarak" said Brock. "Yes," said Misty "Ash always knows how to turn things around when he's using a pokemon type disadvantage". Tomo cheered for Ash and Chikorita.
Bugsy returned Spinarak. "You may have beaten my first pokemon Ash," he said "but this next pokemon will be harder for you". His next pokemon was Metapod. The gang was puzzled that Bugsy would use a Metapod in gym battles. "Be careful Ash," said Brock "Bugsy's Metapod might be strong if he uses it for a gym match". Ash ordered Chikorita to use razor leaf on Metapod. "Use harden Metapod" said Bugsy. Metapod glowed a green whitish colour and then became hard as steel. When Chikorita's leaves hit Metapod they just bounced back off. "Oh boy," sighed Ash "Metapod's harden is going to give us trouble". Bugsy ordered Metapod to jump and tackle Chikorita. When Metapod tackled Chikorita, she fainted. "Chikorita is unable to battle," said the referee "this match goes to Metapod". Ash and the gang were surprised about what had happened. "It seems to me that Bugsy trained his Metapod really well," said Brock "otherwise it wouldn't have been able to do something like that". "What is Ash going to do now?" asked Misty.
Ash returned Chikorita and sent out Lugia to battle. Bugsy was shocked when he saw Lugia. "No way!" he gasped "how have you gotten yourself a Lugia? That's one of the legendary pokemon of Johto". "I'll explain after the gym battle" replied Ash. "Will Lugia be okay to battle?" asked Misty. "It will be okay Misty," said Brock "Ash has looked after Lugia well and from the look of Lugia, he is ready to battle now". "Okay Metapod," said Bugsy "tackle that Lugia". Metapod jumped to tackle Lugia. "Quick Lugia use gust" said Ash. Lugia stood up on his legs, flapped his wings, and performed gusts of wind at Metapod. Metapod lost concentration of performing tackle attack. "Wow," said Misty "even though Lugia is still young it can actually fight well". "There's no doubt about it," said Brock "Ash has had his Lugia practice gust well with his Pidgeot". "Okay Lugia use sunny day" said Ash. Lugia fired a white beam, from his mouth, into the sky and made the sun shine brighter. "Sunny day not only makes the sun shine more bright, it also power ups fire type moves too" said Brock. "Why would Ash decided to do that?" asked Misty. "Now use weather ball Lugia" said Ash. Lugia opened his mouth and a red-orange ball, with fire streaming around it, appeared and Lugia fired it at Metapod. "I understand now," said Brock "what Lugia just used now is weather ball. It's normally a normal type attack but depended on the weather it changes its type. And since the sun is out the weather ball attack turned into a fire type move". "Oh I see," said Misty "and since fire beats bug, Ash decided to use that technique". "Big brother is going to win" sad Tomo. Metapod got really hurt by the fiery weather ball attack. "Now use headbutt Lugia" said Ash. Lugia head-butted Metapod hard and then Metapod fainted. "Metapod is unable to battle," the referee "Lugia wins the round". "Wow I'm impressed of how strong Lugia has gotten strong for a baby pokemon" said Misty. "Well Misty," said Brock "baby pokemon grow up more quick than you think they can". Misty knew Brock was right because her Togepi was very independent as well.
Bugsy returned Metapod. "Ash you are a good trainer," he said "you have defeated two of my strong bug pokemon. But now I introduce to you my strongest bug pokemon". His third pokemon turned out to be a Scyther. "That Scyther looks really strong" said Brock. "You can do it big brother!" shouted Tomo. Ash returned Lugia; he figured that Scyther would be too much for Lugia. "Cyndaquil I choose you!" he said, tossing his new fire pokemon out of the pokeball. "I had a feeling that you would use a fire type Ash," said Bugsy "but I warn you, me and my pokemon have trained a lot for fire type pokemon". ""Yeah?" said Ash "well even if you have, it's not going to stop me from winning this battle". Bugsy ordered Scyther to use fury cutter on Cyndaquil and Scyther got its scythes ready to slash at Cyndaquil. "Quick dodge Scyther's scythes Cyndaquil" said Ash. Cyndaquil, being a small and fast pokemon, managed to dodge Scyther's scythes with ease. "Now Cyndaquil use flamethrower" said Ash. Cyndaquil's flames appeared on his back and then he shot a flamethrower towards Scyther. "Use sword dance Scyther" said Bugsy. Scyther crossed its scythes across its chest and then spun round like a spinning top. And when Cyndaquil's flamethrower came in contact with Scyther, it just bounced off. "Wow," gasped Brock "the way how Scyther spun really fast like a fan repelled the flamethrower". "But if it still keeps doing that," said Ash "then Ash will have no chance of winning". Tomo was getting worried for Ash. Ash started to look thoughtful. 'That technique was good,' he thought 'but I need to do something to get past that technique'. Just then an idea came to him. "Cyndaquil get ready to use flamethrower again". "Again huh?" asked Bugsy "use sword dance Scyther". Scyther spun round fast again. "Okay Cyndaquil jump right above Scyther, and then use flamethrower" said Ash. Cyndaquil jumped really high and he was over Scyther's head and then blew flamethrower at Scyther. Since Cyndaquil was using flamethrower from above and not at the side, Scyther's sword dance technique didn't work this time and it got scorched by the flamethrower. "Now use tackle to finish it off" said Ash. Cyndaquil tackled Scyther really hard and then Scyther fainted. "Scyther is unable to battle," said the referee "this match goes to Cyndaquil. Therefore the winner of the gym match is Ash from Pallet Town".
Ash was happy with his victory and gave Cyndaquil a hug. Tomo, Misty and Brock went up to Ash. "You were great big brother" said Tomo. "You had a lot of great thinking in that battle Ash" said Misty. "Yes," said Brock "both you and your pokemon were great". Bugsy walked up to Ash after returning Scyther. "Ash I felt for sure that my Scyther would always win against fire type pokemon," he said "but after this battle with you, I realise that I still have a lot more training to do. I was also thrilled of going against your legendary pokemon, Lugia. Morty will be speechless when he hears about this". "Morty?" asked Ash. "Morty is the gym leader in Ecruteak City," said Bugsy "and he studies about legendary pokemon all the time. So there's no doubt he will be surprised when he realises you have a legendary pokemon on your team". "Then I look forward to seeing his surprised face" said Ash. Bugsy presented the gym badge, called a Hive Badge, to Ash. "You deserve it" he said. The Hive Badge was in the shape of the back of a ladybird, with three spots. Ash thanked Bugsy and then he and the gang left the Azalea Town Gym.
After recovering Ash's pokemon in the pokemon center, the gang met Maisy outside the pokemon center. "Grandpa sent me to give you guys the special pokeballs" she said. She gave Ash his seven pokeballs. The level ball was black, white and yellow with a red V mark on it. The lure ball was blue, white and red, with three small yellow lines. The moon ball was blue, black and white, with a yellow crescent moon. The friend ball was green and white, with red marks. The love ball was pink and white, with a pink heart. The heavy ball was black and white, with blue bubbles on. The fast ball was red, white and yellow. "Wow cool" said Ash, who was thrilled to have one each of different pokeballs. Maisy gave Misty her two lure balls, Tomo his level ball, lure ball and friend ball and Brock his heavy ball. Maisy also explained that her grandfather hadn't figured out the GS ball yet. "He promises to tell you immediately once he does found out about it".
The gang thanked Maisy, bid farewell to her and left Azalea Town for the next city.
I always get every special pokeball there is in the game, so I decided to give Ash one of each of the apricorn pokeballs. The answers about the GS ball will appear in the Celebi movie.
