Chapter 3: the drive

Emma POV:

I look out of the window, and start to wonder, "what happened to bella?". I remember little things about her: her hair, which has red highlights but only in the sun, her kind heart, her cooking skills, her independence. I wonder what Dickward has done to her.

I decide to ask Charlie about what happened to Bella, "hey, charlie." He looks over to me surprised, i can tell he isnt used to having someone talking to him. He then says, " yes, Emma?" i wait a couple of minutes, then ask, " Charlie what did, Dickw..Edward I mean Edward…" i can tell he doesnt believe me, and chuckles, " Dickward Emmy?" he gently shakes his head and uses my childhood nickname.

" Yes Dickward, my new nickname for the bastard that hurt Bella's heart. Anyway, what did he do? And more importantly what did he say to Bella?" He looks at me than back at the road, he swallows hard. Then responds, " Emmy, Edward…. he left Bella in the woods." I look away, I now am pissed off, and Charile can see it. See Im very protective of my Best Friends, He knows the look on my face means someone is going to get hurt. I dont even notice that he has pulled over.

See every since i was young, i could do things, things that no one else could, i always felt so damn lonely. Charile takes off my seatbealt and we both get out. One minute i was eye to eye, with charlie, and the next thing i know im on my fours in my wolf form. I usually love being in my wolf/dog form. Yes, i have both. I then lay down, im annoyed at the fact that i still cant control my emotions, im sad because i know charlie will be disappointed, an im pissed off because that bastard heart bellas heart, my bestie, i love that girl. She has been my best friend, my confident, we have always had sleep overs and she and charlie are the only ones who know what i could do.

I then shapeshift back into my human form, i grab my arm and gently rub it. I dont want to meet chariles eyes. I then feel his hand tuck underneath my chin forcing me to meet his eyes, they dont show disappointment or anger, instead happines and joy. He then hugs me, i try to tell him that i was sorry but he wasnt having it. "Emmy, controlling your gifts, doing what you can do. Its hard almost impossible. Emmy i will always love you no matter what you are." after a couple of minutes we get back into the car and start to drive off.

I can read/ hear his thoughts, " Emmy, can you hear me?" i then send him my thoughts, " Yes, charlie i can hear you." " ok, good. Emmy do you have any new gifts or have your old one gotten anymore powerful?" "hmmm. I guess we could run through them again." " ok, Emmy. Hey babygirl?" " yes charlie" " i love you darling" thank you, i guess we should run through it again" ok you start when every you want to." " ok, well mind reading/sharing, shapeshifting, talking to animals, seeing spirts, talking to spirts, teleportaion, telekinsis, perfect memory recalled, technopath, empath, taking pain, and healing. Thats about it, Charlie" " ok, babygirl have your shapeshifting abilities grown in any way?" " actually yes" " can you tell me about, the new animals you can shift into?" " of course, well wolf and dog form are still there, i can shift into three different birds, thoes are phoinxes, jay, and robins. I can also shift into a dolphin, oh yeah i also now have two different dragon forms."

He looks surpiesd, i smiled, " well i guess you can protect bella now." he says smiling. We finally pull up, scooby, sofia (spohias nickname), and sunny, all get really excited. " i cant wait." scoobys thoughts scream at me. " we are here?" asked sofia. I nod, " yay, finally." " wait we are here, so cool. Its so small" sunnys thoughts, ahh, sunnys thoughts are always the calmest out of all of them. I smile at them.

We walked into his house, wow this place hasnt changed at all, everything is still the same. I take a couple of steps into the house, and gasp, that bastard, i look over and see bella, her eyes have bags underneath them, oh no. that bastard and his perfect little family will suffer. I deicede to send her my thought, " hells bells, are you ok?" " Emmy, is that you?" she looks up at me and gasps, " why is that everyones reactions?" " because look at you!" " Hells Bells, what did he say to you." " Emmy i dont wanna talk about it" she frowns, " we both know ill just go fishing in your head, so just tell me." Charlie can tell we are talking so he just, brings in my suitcases and dog food. " ok fine but you cant tell charlie. " Hells Bells, your secrets will be my secrets." she then shows me all of her memories, (everything that happened in twilight, guys im not going to write it out, i will write only key things so yeah). All the memories are laced with pain and agony, her moving here, meeting Dickward, meeting his family, the baseball game, James and Victoria, and Larunet.

" Hells Bells, that sucks ass. But you cant just let him and his family have this hold over you, that means they won, Bella you cant do anything let this anymore, your hurting Chaile and your friends, your hurting me. Bella when they break your heart I'll hold you tighter than they ever could. Dont let them win."

She looks at me, and smiles. Charlie then says, " holy sh*t, i havent seen bella smile in such a long time, Emmy darling good job." i know now that maybe this change could do me some good.
