A Certain Revenge Mission.

A day has passed since Ruiko had collapsed out of nowhere. What her friends believed were the result of fatigue, turned out to be something else. Ruiko had been exposed to something while she was close to Godzilla. At first, they suspected that the monster was radioactive, but that theory didn't hold up since he didn't leave any radiation trails in his path. They waited for a long time and in the end, the doctors confirmed she wasn't suffering from any radiation poisoning but they did discover that she had been infected by some element they weren't to familiar with and were not equipped to deal with it... so Ruiko had to be transferred to a special hospital that focuses specifically on treating unusual diseases.

Her friends had to watch her get taken away, and they were told it could take a long time before they see her again... and that they may need to prepare for the worst. If Ruiko's sickness can't be cured, then there is no guarantee that that she will survive. And her short life may come to and end. Safe to say her friends were really worried about that.

They sat at a table in silence, before Kazari shook her head "No, I refuse to believe that! Saten will not die!".

"Uiharu..." Kuroko began but didn't know what to say.

"Saten has been through many dangerous things, both with and without us! And she always pulled through, always! She will not die! I refuse to believe that she will die!" Kazari said, raising her voice a little.

"They never said she would die. Only that it was possible. There is a chance they can help her, and with any luck, she will be back to her old self in time. It's to early to jump to an conclusions" Kuroko said, trying to calm down her partner.

Kazari took several deep breaths to calm herself down as much as possible "You're right... but Saten will pull through. She wouldn't leave us yet. I know she won't".

Mikoto had been silent the whole time. She was calm on the outside, but on the inside she felt burning rage. That monster has gone to far. It killed good soldiers, tore through their city and now... their friend is in a special hospital, receiving treatment for a sickness that could kill her. This was not something Mikoto was going to just move on from. When you hurt her friends in any way, she takes it very personally. She clenched her fists in anger. Gojira, Godzilla, or whatever that monster was called. Mikoto swore she would find a way to make that monster pay for this.

"One-Sama?" Kuroko's voice broke Mikoto out of her thoughts "You ok?".

Mikoto sighed "Sorry. Just... angry".

Kuroko nods and took Mikoto's hand "I don't blame you. We are all upset by this. All we can do now is hope that Saten pulls through for us".

Mikoto didn't pull her hand away and surprisingly she moved her hand to align it with Kuroko's own "Yes... she will survive. We just need to have faith".

Kuroko blushed but smiled "Yes, our friend will not let us down".

They smiled at each other for a moment. Until Kuroko began leaning closer to Mikoto's face. Her eyes were closed and her lips looked ready for a loving kiss. She wanted it badly, she wanted to kiss Mikoto's nice lips. She's been waiting a long time for this chance... but then a hand covered her mouth, snapping her out of her fantasy.

"And just what do you think you're doing?" Mikoto asked in a dangerous tone.

"Awww, that was a perfect moment for a kiss! Why did you have to be so cruel and ruin the moment, my sweet One-Sama" Kuroko whined.

"We were having a nice moment, until your perverted nature ruined it!" Mikoto snapped before giving Kuroko a Karate Chop on the head.

"Owwww!" Kuroko whined while rubbing her head.

Kazari couldn't help but to laugh a little at the sight. After everything they had gone through, they needed this. All they could do for now was just hope that Ruiko would be ok.

As for Ruiko herself. She had arrived at the special hospital, and due to her unique condition, she had to be brought to a room that also functioned as a lab. Where they could both study and treat her condition at the same time. Ruiko herself had to be put to sleep for this, so it would be easier for them to do their job.

The doctor looked her over as her body had been scanned, and her condition was being analyzed "Well, what do we got?".

A Nurse who had been going over the results of the scan looked at him "The information we got is correct. Her condition isn't due to radiation at all. It's some something else entirely. It's some kind of energy, and the reason she is in such a bad shape, is because a human body has not adapted enough to handle it".

"What kind of energy is it?" The doctor asked.

"I can't say for sure. But we know she got it from being to close to Gojira. Meaning this girl is carrying some of his energy inside her" The Nurse answered.

The doctor was silent for a moment "Have you taken any blood samples from her?".

"Yes, several. They are being analyzed as we speak" The nurse answered.

"Good, hopefully it will give us everything we need" The Doctor said before looking down at Ruiko "If there is a smallest chance you can hear me, kid. Know that as long as you have a pulse, we will do everything in our power to save you, you have my word on that. But if worse comes to pass, know that your death will not have been meaningless. You have provided us with something truly remarkable, something that could save countless of lives in the future. But until then, we will try to save you first. I promise, we will not abandon you".

Ruiko obviously couldn't answer, all she could do was sleep, as her treatment continued.

Night time was slowly approaching the city. But that wasn't the only thing. A certain monster was on his way back to the city after having been gone for several days. Godzilla was back, he needed more energy, and this city still had a lot of it. He calmly walked towards the city in the distance. After his last attack, the higher ups were more prepared in case of his return. They had set up a strong defense grid, with a lot of their best weapons ready to halt the monster's advance. If Godzilla could feel pity for anyone, he would find their hopless attempts at stopping him as sad.

But Godzilla had no room for sympathy or pity. He was driven by his need to survive, just like any other creature. And like most others, if anyone stood in his way, he would have no other choice but to make them get out of the way. So this defense grid wouldn't do much to slow him down.

A little while later, the alarms sounded across the city, and once again everyone had to be evacuated. However, Mikoto looked in the distance and could faintly see that the monster who put Ruiko in the hospital was back. Last time he was here, Mikoto ran away with the others. But this time, Mikoto had a personal grudge, one she could not ignore. She knew this wasn't a smart idea, but she had to at least try to make that monster pay for what it did.

With that thought in mind, she used her ability to head for the monster's location. She heard people call her name, but she ignored them. No one could stop her now. She traveled for a while and finding the monster wasn't hard, given the very noticeable trail he left in his path. She followed the destruction until she finally caught up with the monster responsible for all the hard ships they had faced these past few days.

Mikoto looked at him with wide eyes "Wow... he really is massive".

Godzilla was easily one of the largest things Mikoto had ever seen. Many would think she was insane for even thinking she could fight something that massive. But Mikoto had and idea, she just had to gain his attention. She moved across some buildings until she was in front of the large monster, who was still calmly making his way through the city. Mikoto began to build up her power and unleashed a powerful electric blast at Godzilla. It was a direct hit, but Godzilla didn't even seem to notice. And if he did, it was likely the attack didn't bother him enough for him to trully notice the small human trying to attack him.

Mikoto growled a little "He didn't even feel it. I need to get him to focus on me somehow. He can't be invincible, everyone has a weak spot".

She looked over the large monster until she realized something. His eyes! Everyone are weak in the eyes. Mikoto prepared to use her railgun, she just had to aim it perfectly. She then unleashed her signature attack, and hit the large monster right in his eye ball. It worked, Godzilla finally stopped as he blinked a few times. Then he turned his head and saw a small human glaring up on him. He actually looked a little confused. What was this little human doing?

"Down here you overgrown dinosaur reject! Come get me!" Mikoto shouted.

Godzilla snarled and used his tail to destroy the lower parts of the building that Mikoto was standing on. But Mikoto used her powers to jump clear before managing to blast Godzilla in the face. It didn't hurt, but Godzilla was getting annoyed. And stomped the ground hard, causing it to shatter and sent rubble all over the place. Looking around, Godzilla couldn't see any trace of the annoying little pest, so he was about to keep on walking. But he stopped as he sensed something.

He turned his head... and saw a lot of black Iron Sand coming out of the ground from all over the area. And after a while, it took the shape of a massive Iron Sand Puppet. And standing on it's head, was non other than Mikoto. She had used her abilities to gather so much Iron Sand that she could make a puppet that was almost as big as Godzilla himself. He was still bigger, but the size gap was not as massive as it was before.

Mikoto noticed Godzilla actually looked surprised, and this made her smirk "I see, you've spent all your life being the biggest guy around. You are not used to picking on anything your own size, are you?".

It was unlikely Godzilla understood what she said, but he could tell she wanted to fight him. Godzilla never backs down from a challenge, so he turned around and let out a loud roar, to show that he accepted her challenge. Mikoto had to take a deep breath to calm her pounding heart. She needed to be careful and protect herself from the monster's attacks. One solid hit from his scaly paws or tail could likely splatter her body like a bug. She could not afford any mistakes.

Godzilla began to advance on her, ready to overpower her Iron Sand Puppet with his brute strength. But Mikoto could tell right away that a physical clash with the monster would not end in her favor, so she made her puppet move to the side to avoid the charge. Controlling this much sand was a challenge, even for a level 5 of Mikoto's caliber, but this was her best chance to fight the massive monster. She had no chance of winning in her normal state.

She had an opening, and moved her puppets hand to hit Godzilla in the face. The blow didn't even stagger him, as he slashed the puppet across the chest with his claws. The puppet was fragile, due to being made out of Iron Sand, but with Mikoto's perfect control, she was able to easily repair the damage. She then made her puppet grab Godzilla by the head, and made some of the sand go in to his exposed eyes, shocking him from the inside. For the first time in who knows how long, Godzilla felt some pain as she packed away, clawing a little at his eyes. He then glared at Mikoto, his eyes having become more red.

"Yeah, bet that hurt! So you aren't as invincible as you look. Well, I have another surprise for you!" Mikoto declared. The vibrating iron sand particles inside the puppet rub together and build up electricity, making the puppet dangerous to touch, but also allowed her to build up another attack "This is for Saten! TAKE THIS!".

She made her puppet lift it's hand and unleashed a powerful blast from it's hand, which hit Godzilla right in the face. His head turned away from the impact, like he had been punched in the face. He then slowly looked back at Mikoto... his eyes glaring at her... and worst part, the attacked didn't seem to have damaged him at all. Mikoto had wide eyes at that.

"But that... was my strongest attack... it should've at least knocked him out" Mikoto said to herself in disbelief. Only a handful of people could ever shrug of a direct hit from her strongest attack like that.

Godzilla has had enough of this. And Mikoto noticed the plates on his back slowly began to glow blue. She readied herself for what ever he might try to do. Godzilla's eyes began to glow before he opened his mouth... and unleashed large wave of blue fire, which traveled a lot faster that Mikoto expected. The flames hit her puppet and took a large chunk out of it. Mikoto had wide eyes from this.

"N-no way! He burned away the Iron sand!" She said to herself as she noticed her puppet getting smaller due to having less Iron sand to repair itself with.

Godzilla walked towards her and unleashed more blue flames which burnt away more of the puppet. Mikoto was starting to get scared now as she used her puppet's arms to block another wave of flames, which fully burned away the sand... now, Godzilla was really close to her. He took a deep breath before roaring, and the resulting win blast hit Mikoto dead on.

Mikoto let out a scream of pain as she was sent flying to the powerful impact. Blood flew out of her mouth before she ended up flying in to the nearby river. Godzilla let out a victory roar before walking continuing on with the reason he came to the city.

Mikoto was floating in the water... blood was all around her due to he nasty wounds she had suffered. She could feel herself loosing consciousness and she didn't even have enough strength to keep herself afloat. She began to sink... was this it?... Was she going to die?... Like this? Godzilla was so much stronger than her... she had a feeling she never had a chance at all... she was utterly and hopelessly outmatched. She was such and idiot... why would she try to fight something like that? She made a massive mistake. And now, she will die for it. She failed to avenge her friend, and now... she was going to vanish from her loved ones lives... forever...

Her vision began turning black, and she was ready to accept her fate... but the last thing she saw before everything went dark... was a familiar looking robot, flying down with his hand outstretched.

Maybe it wasn't her time to die after all.
