'Whoa...Nagasaki...'

Kagome stared out the window of the train, sitting closest to the window as she watched the scenery fly by her.

"Kikumaru-San, would you like some?"

Kagome glanced back and smiled at the girl with long dark brown hair pulled up into a high ponytail. In her hand, small dark chocolates were being offered. Kisses~ She took one and smiled at it, "chocolate helps with motion sickness, right?"

"I'm not sure, I just have a bunch because of my little brother."

Hazue sighed, glancing around the compartment, somehow it had ended up being the five of them in a group together. The three titans and then he and Kagome, had been put together as a group for the Fieldtrip. This also meant that he would be rooming with Jakotsu while the girls, Kagome, Ayame and Sango, stayed in the room across from theirs. It wasn't so bad, he guessed...but Ayame...

"Nai, Kaidou-Kun, lets watch the fireworks together!"

"Ah, that's right," Kagome smiled, "there will be fireworks. I'd almost forgotten."

Hazue looked over at Kagome, "you brought a camera, didn't you?"

"Hai! Jakotsu-San did say to bring one,"

Jakotsu blushed, "oh, but that wasn't actually on the list of requirements!"

She laughed, "I know, I know. I borrowed my older brothers...or, oldest brothers. I guess they're all older than me."

"Tch!"

Hazue sighed as he turned back to Ayame. Her cheeks were burning red, but he was pretty sure it wasn't from embarrassment of any sort. The girl was notorious for liking him. He knew this. In fact, he prided himself on his awareness. So, he could confidently say, Ayame was jealous of Kagome. Not that he thought she had a reason to be. Kagome was his friend. Period. That didn't make it any less bothersome for her though. Sango was fine, she was reaching out to Kagome, and he honestly thought that having a female friend would do her a lot of good. Then there was Jakotsu. While he didn't mind Jakotsu― he let his eyes fall back onto Kagome. Her cheeks had fallen into a soft dusty pink glow as she spoke comfortably with Jakotsu about the Museum they'd be going to. That was the problem. His friend was crushing on the student council president, who Hazue also knew liked him. He wouldn't say anything, but he dreaded the day she noticed it for herself.

"KAIDOU-KUN!"

His eyes widened and he looked across at Ayame, bringing a pinky to his ear, he swirled it about in an attempt to stop the ringing. "What!?"

She blanched and sat back against her spot, "you weren't listening."

"Of course not! I'm not listening to anyone! Geeze...now my head is ringing."

"OCHIBI-CHAN!"

Ryoma's eyes widened as he was suddenly accosted from behind. "Ah, Senpai."

"Nai, nai! Ochibi-Chan, let's go play a game together!"

Ryoma frowned, he couldn't recall playing any matches against Eiji, and wondered if he'd be able to. The guy was actually quite good, and while Ryoma was confident, Eiji was unpredictable. His mood swings especially made him complicated as a player. "...iie."

"Wah...even Ochibi-Chan is too busy to play with me."

"...nai, Senpai...what about your sister?"

Eiji suddenly broke down against Ryoma. Mock crying as he buried his head in the smaller boys shoulder and whined. "KAGOME-CHAN LEFT THIS MORNING TO NAGASAKI!"

"...ah." Ryoma glanced off in the direction he'd been about to walk off in. "You can...come home with me if you want. I'll play you there."

"EHHH!? Ochibi-Chan is the greatest!"

Ryoma sighed, walking with his Senpai hanging off his shoulder, he really couldn't leave him there. Normally Fuji would have dealt with the needy Senpai, but he was home sick, and he wasn't about to send Eiji there. A sick Eiji sounded like a handful, more so than a lonely Eiji did.

"I think that's it, right?" Ayano pointed from the backseat. Her mother and father in the front while she, and Daichi were in the back.

"I think so," Sachiko sighed, "I wonder if it would be presumptuous of us to bring her here..."

Daichi frowned.

Hey, Diary...do you think I should get over them?

It's barely been four months, and they act like I've been crying about it for years. I guess it's simple for them, but not for me.

I can't sleep, I dream about it all the time. I hear them in my dreams!

I didn't even get to say goodbye...

I didn't even get to say goodbye...

He closed his eyes and sighed, "I think she'd be happy to say goodbye. So, after the aquarium or before..."

"I think it would be best to do this before we go to the Aquarium as a family for the first time. You said she visited with her parents? It wouldn't be right to force those memories on her before she could properly speak with them." Isamu commented as he parked the car in front of the Cemetery. He climbed out as his family did the same. Waiting for his wife, he started off in the direction they'd been told to go by InuKimi. Or, the direction is overzealous son had been told to go. "How did you find out about this again?"

Daichi frowned, "...I asked Taisho-San about the gravesite of Kagome's parents, she told me of the funeral home, I called them, and they gave me the location such over the phone."

"No, no, I mean...how did you find out about the Aquarium and everything else."

He bowed his head and shook it, "I'd rather not tell you about that. I'm still getting over the event myself."

Ayano turned her eyes curiously over to her brother as she walked beside him. "What, did you have to sell your body to get that information?"

"What the hell!? No, of course not!" He blushed and shook his head violently, "I read her diary!"

"...she has a diary!?" Ayano looked flabbergasted, "wait...you read a little girls diary!?"

Sighing, Isamu continued walking through the cemetery towards the coordinates on the paper he held in his hand. The markers and grave stones were all set up in a way that coordinates could be given by the Funeral home, which made locating certain people easier. He stopped and eyed the stones in front of him. It was a large family headstone, the likes of which had been recently swept. Clearing his throat, he interrupted his daughter yelling at his son and the two joined him on either side of Sachiko and himself. Kneeling, he read over the names.

"Higurashi, Rai...Higurashi, Saitou and Higurashi, Souta...thank you for watching over Kagome-Chan. She misses you all dearly,"

He bowed his head as his wife spoke.

"In the coming trials of heartache, I hope sincerely that you will continue your watchful gaze but let the Kikumaru family heal her heart and love her the way she deserves to be. We will be hear for her now. So, you can rest at ease, your daughter is finally home, and she's here to stay. One day, I hope she too will believe this to be so."

"Please, let her finally tell me what kind of dinner she'd like for me to make!" Daichi rubbed his hands together in a desperate prayer.

"Baka!" Ayano slapped him across the back of the head, "you aren't praying to pass your exams, stop rubbing your hands together!" Ayano turned her eyes back to the stone and her eyes rested on the name Souta. Bowing her head, she didn't speak out loud. 'I'm so sorry that it couldn't be you here with Kagome-Chan...I'm sorry for what horrible fate took the three of you from her. That she never met her brother...I couldn't imagine a single day of my life without the precious people in my family. I promise I'll look out for her, if it isn't too much trouble, could you please take care and watch over my family as well as Kagome? A number of them are young still, and I worry all the time, but even the older ones can be a bit clueless. So, watch out for them...watch over us...I promise, we'll make her happy.'

A gentle wind brushed soothingly out of nowhere, a calming silence and whispered song played unheard on the breeze. It was nothing to be noted by the four, but for a moment, Ayano felt her heart cry out in agony for the loss of her little sisters' family.
