Ash's Pokemon Journey
Summary: This story is about how I think that ash's journey should have gone through, Kanto, Orange Islands, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova. Smart, a psychic and an Aura user (He'll find out about being a psyphic and Aura user later). I do not own pokemon.
Note: I am not doing the Kalos Region. So fairy pokemon and Mega Evolutions don't exist.
Chapter 68
The Naughty Plusle and Minun,
Newton Contest and Mauville Gym
Sometime after the Slateport Contest, the gang had come to a town called Newton Town, where a pokemon contest was being held. Apparently everyone in Newton Town had an electric type pokemon with them, so the gang kept on seeing Pichu, Pikachu, Raichu, Magnemite, Magneton, Jolteon, Voltorb, Electrode, Elekid, Electabuzz, Mareep, Flaffy and Ampharos. There was also four electric pokemon that the gang hadn't seen before. One of them was a green sort of wolf type pokemon, with yellow markings; this pokemon was an Electrike. Another pokemon was a blue and yellow wolf type pokemon; this pokemon was a Manectric, Electrike's evolved form. The last two electric type pokemon nearly looked like Pichu, but they were cream colored and had longer ears. One of them had red markings and the other blue. They were called Plusle and Minun; Plusle had a plus sign on its tail and Minun had a minus sign on its tail. May thought that Plusle and Minun were adorable and hoped she would capture her own Plusle and Minun one day. "Why does everyone here keep an electric type pokemon?" asked Ash. "I know why" said Max. Max explained that a long time ago, Newton Town got attacked by a flock of very ferocious Fearow. But then an Electabuzz, a Raichu, a Manectric and an Ampharos defeated the Fearow and saved the town. "The people were grateful to the electric pokemon, and ever since that day people here have loved and kept electric type pokemon ever since". "What a story" said Tomo. "This town actually reminds me of Len Town back in the Johto region" said Brock. Ash and Tomo remembered too; especially since everyone in Len Town kept a psychic pokemon.
Suddenly the gang heard shouting. "Stop right there you four!" shouted a lady. The lady, with a Jolteon by her side, was chasing two Plusle and two Minun. One Plusle and Minun were shiny; the Plusle had orange markings and the Minun had green markings. The Plusle and Minun shot swift attack and the lady and her Jolteon, which made them, stop in their tracks and then the two Plusle and two Minun left in a hurry. "What on earth was that all about?" asked Max. The gang asked the lady what had happened. The lady explained that the Plusle and Minun were wild pokemon, but they loved to come to the town to play tricks. "Why do they play tricks?" asked May. "Well the truth is, those four pokemon were rejected many times in the past" said the lady. "What do you mean?" asked Brock. The woman explained that all the electric pokemon in Newton Town came from a pokemon breeding place, where they bred electric pokemon. They also bred Eevee in case anyone wanted to have a Jolteon. "Those four Plusle and Minun were from the breeding center too, but the Plusle and Minun, who are shiny, had never been picked by anyone. So they play tricks on everyone in town because of how they had been neglected". "They probably had never been picked because of their different color, I've heard of something like this before" said Ash. "But what about the Plusle and Minun who aren't shiny?" asked Tomo. "Well my guess is those two were not happy with the way the shiny Plusle and Minun were treated, so they've refused to leave them until someone does accept the shiny Plusle and Minun" said the lady. The gang felt sorry for the Plusle and Minun.
The gang had some lunch at the pokemon center. May couldn't stop thinking about the Plusle and Minun; she felt very sorry for them. "I don't really understand why no one in this town wanted to have the shiny Plusle and Minun," said Max "I mean normally people would flip on the chance of having a shiny pokemon". "It's true that people do Max," said Brock "but people treat pokemon unfairly for all different reasons". "It's true," said Ash "they great treated unfairly for being different colored, for having a size that's different than their normal size, and also just because of how emotionally they can be". "But that's not fair" said Max. May also thought that was unfair too. "Hey guys," she said "I'm thinking of capturing the shiny Plusle and Minun for myself. I found them adorable and I don't care if they are shiny at all". The boys thought that May's idea was a good idea and Tomo decided to capture the normal Plusle and Minun for himself.
Suddenly there was a commotion of screams and roaring outside. "What was that?" asked Ash. "It sounds like trouble is happening," said Brock "we better see what's going on at once". When they got outside the pokemon center, they saw people and their electric pokemon running. And then they saw a giant Onix and it was trapping electric pokemon by grabbing onto them in its mouth and then sort of swallowing them. "That Onix is eating all the electric pokemon!" cried Max. "No it isn't," said Ash "that Onix is a fake. It's just a machine and it's just capturing the electric pokemon". "Who on earth would be doing this?" asked May. "My guess this would be Team Rocket's doing," said Brock "they did something like this before; they used a fake giant Gengar to capture all the psychic pokemon from Len Town". "If it is Team Rocket we better stop them at once" said Ash. Right now the giant Onix had stopped scooping up electric type pokemon and left the town. "Come on," said Ash "let's go after them". "Let's" said Max, and they all ran after the giant Onix.
The giant Onix was Jessie, James and Meowth's doing all right; they had planned to swipe the electric pokemon from Newton Town. Their machine had a big cage in it, and the electric pokemon were trapped in that. "Man we were lucky to find a town full of electric pokemon" said Meowth. "I'll say I have never seen a place full of electric pokemon in all my life" said James. Jessie was looking at all the electric pokemon they had captured on a screen, and then she saw the shiny Plusle and Minun. The shiny Plusle and Minun got caught too and so did the Plusle and Minun that weren't shiny. "All of you will fetch a good price" she said to the electric pokemon.
Just then the gang turned up. "Release the electric pokemon at once Team Rocket!" shouted Ash. "Not a chance twerp," said Jessie "and since we are capturing electric type pokemon, we shall capture your Pikachu too". Team Rocket got their giant Onix ready to swipe Pikachu. The gang got ready to fight back. "We must be careful when making a move," said Brock "all the electric pokemon are inside that thing, so if we blow up that thing the pokemon will get hurt". "Then we will just have to tear that thing to bits instead," said Ash "and I know the way to do it". "Me too" said Tomo. Ash and Tomo released their Taillow and Wingull and told them to both use air cutter and steel wing on the giant Onix. At first it seemed that nothing happened, but then the giant Onix machine started to come apart and then the machine stopped all together. Jessie, James and Meowth were very cross and were about to fight back, but Pikachu sent them flying with thunderbolt. "Now let's take all the electric pokemon back to the town" said Brock.
Everyone in Newton Town was happy to have their pokemon back and they were also grateful to the gang for getting them back. May was looking at her pokeballs with a smile on her face; she did capture the shiny Plusle and Minun. She captured them after the electric pokemon were freed from Team Rocket's machine, and Tomo captured the Plusle and Minun that weren't shiny. So everyone was happy in the end.
Now there was only one thing to do, and that was to get ready for Newton Town's pokemon contest.
Today was Newton Town's pokemon contest, and Ash was getting ready for it with his Zigzagoon, who he had decided to enter with. May signed up for it too and decided it enter it with Staryu this time. "Is Staryu ready for this May?" asked Max. "Yes it is," said May "I practiced something with Staryu the other day, and Ash helped me with it". Max was curious of what May would do in the contest this time. "You do realize of course that you may have to battle Ash in the battle rounds" he said. "Yes I do know that," said May "but that isn't going to stop me from winning this contest". Max realized that May had just started feeling more confident; she was nervous at the Slateport contest.
That afternoon it was time for the pokemon contest. Vivian introduced Mr Contesta, Mr Suziko and Newton Town's Nurse Joy, and then showed the ribbon. The Newton ribbon was yellow with orange stripes and it had an electric bolt shaped pin in the middle. In the waiting room, Ash and May were waiting for the contest to begin. "Ready May?" asked Ash. "I feel ready this time" replied May. "Just remember what you practiced with Staryu and just have fun out there" said Ash. Now it was time for the appeal rounds to start.
Ash was first in the appeal round and he sent out Zigzagoon. He ordered Zigzagoon to use extreme-speed and Zigzagoon went speeding across the stage. The audience liked Zigzagoon's speed. "Now use the combination of pin missile and thunderbolt" said Ash. Zigzagoon shot out white sharp needles from his fur and then he shocked them with thunderbolt. The missiles burst into tiny white and yellow particles of light. And Ash and Zigzagoon finished with their pose. Ash got a score of 28.8.
After a few more contestants it was now May's turn. "Okay Azuril take the stage" she said, and Staryu came out of its pokeball. "Okay Staryu use bubble". Staryu shot bubbles out from its jewel. "Now use rapid spin Staryu". Staryu spun fast like a saw blade and then the tips of its appendages popped the bubbles, leaving clear particles in the air. "Now use cosmic power". Staryu glowed brightly and its jewel shined, and then May did her finishing pose. She got a score of 27.9.
"Hey May did better than she did in the Slateport contest" said Max. Tomo explained that Ash and May had practiced together for this one. "Did Ash help May practice battling as well?" asked Brock. "Yes" replied Tomo. "That's a surprise" said Max. He couldn't really believe that because he didn't see May practice with his own eyes.
Soon it was time for the battle rounds. Surprisingly enough Ash and May were up against each other in the first round. Ash and May were surprised, but they promised to have a good match with each other. Ash sent out Zigzagoon and May sent out Staryu. "Staryu use water gun" said May. Staryu shot water gun at Zigzagoon. "Use extreme speed Zigzagoon" said Ash. Zigzagoon dodged the water gun attack and then tackled Staryu. "Now use thunderbolt". Zigzagoon shocked Staryu good. "Hang on Staryu," said May "use recover quickly". Staryu glowed and restored its energy. "May is doing better than she did in the last contest" said Brock. "I didn't lie when I said that May practiced pokemon battling with Ash" said Tomo. Ash ordered Zigzagoon to attack with thunderbolt again and this time Staryu fainted from the attack, so May lost. "It doesn't surprise me really that Ash beat May," said Max "especially since he is much skilled at battling than May". Brock and Tomo agreed with that. May was disappointed with her loss, but she wished Ash luck for the rest of the battling rounds.
Ash defeated his next opponent and made it to the final rounds. His final opponent was using a Jumpluff, but it got defeated thanks to Zigzagoon's new move, super fang. So Ash was the winner of the Newton contest. Ash was presented the Newton ribbon and everyone congratulated him.
When the contest was finished it was time for the gang to leave. May was hoping that she will earn a contest ribbon soon because Ash now had two ribbons and she still had none. "Don't fret May, there are still other places where the pokemon contests are being held" said Ash. He pointed out that the closest one was in Fallabor Town. "But first we need to head for Mauville City, so that I could earn my next gym badge". "It's not far from here actually" said Max, looking at it on his pokenav. So the gang headed off for Mauville City.
The gang had made it to Mauville City, where Ash could earn his third gym badge. Ash was looking up the Mauville Gym on the computer in the pokemon center. He saw that the gym leader, a man names Wattson, used electric types. "What pokemon are you going to use?" asked Tomo. "Well Aron would be a good choice," said Ash "and it says that Wattson uses Magnemite and Magneton, so I think I will use Sableye in this battle. You won't believe this but he knows focus punch, ice punch, thunder punch and fire punch". "Wow," said Tomo "what else does he know?" "Scratch, sucker punch, night shade, psychic, shadow ball, shadow claw, poison jab and the egg move recover" said Ash. Ash's Sableye was indeed a powerful pokemon.
After finishing with the pokemon center, the gang went to the Mauville Gym. The Mauville Gym was painted yellow all over and it looked like an office building. Ash knocked on the door, but then it fell down on the floor and it became a platform. "What on earth?" said May. When the gang stepped onto the platform, it started to move by itself. "Hey, it's a ride" said Max, excitedly. The platform went slowly up a hill, but then it went down fast like a roller coaster. "I don't like this!" shouted May, while she and the others were hanging on tight. After all the speeding and turning stopped, the gang got a surprise; a Raikou was standing in the way. Ash realized it was a fake and he sent out Aron to use flash cannon on it. The Raikou was a fake all right; it broke into pieces when Aron hit it with flash cannon. "It's a robot!" gasped Brock.
At that moment an old man and a younger man entered the area. "Your Aron did well on breaking my robotic Raikou apart" said the old man. The old man introduced himself as Wattson the gym leader, and the younger man was his assistant Watt. Ash asked Wattson for a gym battle and Wattson accepted the match. Ash and Wattson took their place on the battlefield of the gym and May, Max, Tomo and Brock took their place on the seats. Watt became a referee; he explained the gym rules about it being a three on three gym battle and declared it to begin.
Wattson sent out Voltorb first and Ash sent out Aron. Wattson ordered his Voltorb to use rollout, but Ash ordered Aron to use sand storm. The sand storm covered the whole battle field and Voltorb couldn't see Aron. "Sorry Wattson," said Ash "but I've dealt with pokemon, who know rollout, before". Ash ordered Aron to use ancient power, and Voltorb got hit by it. "Voltorb use gyro ball" said Wattson. Voltorb spun round really fast and then it tackled Aron hard. "Don't give in Aron," said Ash "use iron head". Aron slammed Voltorb hard with his head, and then Ash ordered Aron to use ancient power again. Wattson ordered Voltorb to dodge, but it was too late. Voltorb got hit by the ancient power attack and then fainted. So Ash was the winner of the first match. "You impress me Ash," said Wattson, returning Voltorb, "I've never had a battler like you". "You're impressive yourself" said Ash.
Wattson sent out a Magnemite next. Ash returned Aron and sent out Sableye. "Is it a good idea for Ash to use Sableye?" asked May. "Well it is all righto use a ghost type against an electric type," said Brock "it just depends on what moves he trainers will use". "It will be okay," said Tomo "Sableye knows some moves that will beat Magnemite". Wattson ordered Magnemite to use thunderbolt. "Fight that with shadow ball Sableye" said Ash. Sableye fired shadow ball at the thunderbolt attack and the two attacks collided with each other. "Okay now use fire punch Sableye" said Ash. Sableye punched Magnemite, while a flame was surrounding its hands, and Magnemite got hurt. "Fire punch works great against Magnemite, because Magnemite is part steel type and fire beets steel" said Max. Just then Magnemite got a burn. "Fire punch has the ability to give pokemon a burn" said Brock. Ash then ordered Sableye to use focus punch. Sableye punched Magnemite good and Magnemite fainted, giving Ash a second win. "Wow that Sableye certainly knows how to battle" said May. "I'll say" said Max.
Wattson was impressed with Ash and his pokemon as well. He returned Magnemite and called out Magneton. "I can't wait to see what you'll do against my Magneton Ash" said Wattson. He ordered Magneton to use lock-on. "Uh-oh" said Ash. He knew what lock-on was; lock-on had ability to make the pokemon never miss on its next attack. "Now Magneton use zap cannon" said Wattson. Magneton fired zap cannon at Sableye, and since it used lock-on first, Sableye got it by it. "Hang in there Sableye use recover" said Ash. Sableye glowed and healed itself. "Okay now use focus punch". Sableye punched Magneton good. "Use thunderbolt" said Wattson. "Shadow ball" Ash said to Sableye. Sableye got struck by the thunderbolt and Magneton got struck by the shadow ball. Both Sableye and Magneton fainted. As Ash still had two pokemon left, he was the winner of the gym.
Wattson returned Magneton and congratulated Ash. "You gave me a great battle Ash," said Wattson "and I could tell how well connected you are with your pokemon. So it gives me great pleasure to give you the Dynamo Badge". The Dynamo Badge was yellow and it was shaped like a coiled wire. Ash thanked Wattson and accepted the badge.
After the gym was finished with, the gang spent the night at the pokemon center. Ash found out that the next gym was in a place called Lavaridge Town. But their next destination was Fallabor Town, where the next pokemon contest was.
Sorry for the wait. Newton Town was my own made up place. I got the idea of everyone liking electric type pokemon from the Len Town, which had people liking psychic type. May should have had her own electric type pokemon because Iris and Dawn did. Thanks' to everyone's vote, Ash will have a shiny Bagon and Trapinch. Now I've put up a new vote on my poll and it concerns with Max and the Munchlax from pokemon movie 7.
