Chapter Nineteen:
(Heather's POV)
A week had passed and Rose and I had been seeing each other everyday after his work. This particular day, however was gloomy and rainy, so our usual walk turned into a night indoors. I sighed contentedly as I leaned back into the couch in Rose's living room. "Comfortable?" I heard him ask from the doorway as he watched me. He was holding a couple of plates in his hand. "Mhm. You hungry already?" I asked him curiously. He wouldn't usually eat as soon as he got out of the office. He shrugged indifferently, "I just wanted a couple little things to jumpstart me. It was tough today." "I'm sorry to hear that," I replied to him feeling sympathetic. I always knew it was tough to be a boss and did not envy the captains and lieutenants the slightest. "If you want, I can leave so you can get some rest." I offered, I did not want to leave, but I did not want him to feel obligated to stay awake just because I was there. "No, I want you to stay with me. I'll be fine." he replied quickly. "As long as you're sure." I told him uncertainly. He smiled lightly at me. "Don't worry about me," he assured and offered me a plate, "You want some?" I looked at the food he offered me and tried as hard as I could not to wince. That was definitely something I never seen before. "What is it?" I asked cautiously. "Shirako," Rose stated simply. I did not like the vagueness. "What is that?" I asked. "Just try it." I looked at the white food and cautiously took a little bit of it. "What is it made with?" I asked setting it back down, it did not look very appealing.
Rose looked at me, leaned down and gave me a kiss. He was trying to edge around the subject. "What is in that?" "You're still new to things here." he replied as he sat down next to me. "Rose…" I had almost warned. He kissed me again, why not go along with this? I kissed him back and pulled him closer. I felt his arms wrapped around me but he pulled away. "You're not going to win that easy." he said playfully. To hell with learning about the food! Jeeze, Louise! "Ok," I stated not really caring I was about ready to pull him in again but realized that he was hungry. I let him go and he scooped me up and sat me in his lap. What's gotten into him? From tired to cuddly in under ten seconds. Rose picked up a piece of the Shirako and ate it and then quickly grabbed another and offered it to me. "Come on, it's fine." "But—." I tried to argue but he gave me an almost pitiful look. "Please?' he requested. I sighed and cautiously gave in. I think being fed strawberries was a better choice but this was pretty good. I gave him a look and reached for another piece. "I told you." he laughed before he reached for another Shirako while still keeping me in place. It felt good to be this close to him I could not help to rest my head at the crook of his neck. He almost immediately stopped what he was doing and chuckled lightly as he set the plate to the side. He must have been hungry, the dish was completely empty. Rose wrapped his arm around my shoulders and held me to him. I thought my feelings would always be one sided. I never thought for a second that this would be happening.
It was not all that quiet, sometimes breaking into conversations that soon died but we were rather enjoying each others company. "Heather?" he asked and gained my attention. "Hm?" I called back as I looked up at him. We looked at each other for a few moments when our lips suddenly met. No matter how often it happens I still can't seem to get enough of him. I reached out and wove my fingers in his blonde hair and I felt both of his arms wrap around me. I was absolutely dizzy, just the feel of him blew my mind. We pulled away gasping lightly, clinging to each other. He pecked my lips once more and kissed along my jaw line and proceeded down my neck. I gasped at the contact and squirmed to sit up straighter but his arms held me still. I felt his hands search my body and I could not control the noises his touches caused. He kissed me again and I felt him let me go and I shifted my position on his lap so I straddled him. I was not fully seated on him when I noticed something I should have earlier. I pulled away from his kiss and he gave me a light blush. I bit my lip trying to hide my smile and ran my hands over his chest, kissing him once more. I felt Rose's hands on my waist and untied the obi. I was fairly happy that I was bold enough to try a yukata and I reached for his shirt. I gasped once I felt the cold air hit me and I squirmed and pressed myself up against his bare chest for some form of warmth. He chuckled and held me close to him. I felt his breath on my neck and it drove me wild inside. I bucked my hips in response causing Rose to gasp. I felt his hands travel down and grab my rear and pulled me closer to him. I moaned lightly and clung to him. Rose flipped me so I was now looking up at him and pulled the remaining clothes off of us. I shivered in anticipation and wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him in for another kiss.
I felt his hand run down my side and rested on my bare thigh and then pulled away. "Do you want this?" I heard him ask me huskily. I don't know what it is about this man but I knew I wanted this. I reached up and kissed him softly then replied, "Yes." Rose kissed me once more and opened my legs wide enough to slide in between. I smiled lightly and wrapped my arms around him. I felt him rock against me lightly and I gasped in pleasure. He pulled away and reached down then seconds later I felt Rose start to fill me. I could not help but to moan softly as he held still for only a few moments and then started to move. My mind completely fizzed out once we established a rhythm. It felt like a dance that I could not tear from. I felt an urgency in his pace and I could not help but to moan and do my best to match his pace. I spiraled out of control and clung to him. "Rōjūrō!" I cried as I reached my peak. I felt him thrust into me a few times before crying out and I felt a hot sensation pool in me. I looked up at Rose to find him, shoulders sagged and panting as hard as I was. He looked up and gave me a dreamy smile which I returned. Rose had leaned over and gave me a few tender kisses before asking, "Don't leave me tonight?" I nuzzled him and replied, "Let's not worry about where I'll go now. I'm here."
