Chapter 19 :
Morning arose , Kapil woke up and he looked towards Abhijeet who was sleeping peacefully cuddling a fluffy pillow in his arms . A loving-soothing smile erupted on his face , he bent down and softly kissed his temple and went for freshening up . After a few minutes he came back and saw him still sleeping peacefully , he nodded his head in disappointment…he sat beside him…
Kapil sir ( softly rubbing his head ): Utho beta… ( Abhijeet turned a bit in sleep , he smiled at his antics lovingly ) utho bhi ab humme chalna hai na ( Abhijeet opened his one eye and looked at him , Kapil smiled at him soothingly ) arre aaj nahi marni kya century….
Before he could continue further a excited call of "Abhii" grabbed their attentions , both looked at the person who jumped on the bed and sat beside Abhijeet…
Kapil sir ( murmured ): Aagaya toofan….(Kartik glared him hard seeing his glare he hurriedly changed his sentence ) tumko kaam hoga na apne bhai se main chalta hun and he rushed from there while Kartik nodded his head in disappointment…
Kartik ( to Abhijeet excitedly ): Aaj na New Zealand ko dhona hai na mere bhai ne...to dekh na hum pehli ball se hi shuru ho jayenge aur tu na first over se hi sixes marna chalu kardiyo he was continuously giving him instructions about the match and Abhijeet was smiling lovingly at him seeing his excitement…
Abhijeet ( smilingly interrupted him in an extra sweet tone): Bhai main fresh ho jau ab aur aap bhi ready ho jao stadium nahi pahunchenge to sixes kaise marenge….Kartik glared him hard...seeing it he hurriedly ran inside the washroom…
In ACP sir's room :
ACP was walking to and fro in the corridor….
ACP sir ( murmured ): Ye Arpita bhi na itna time kisko lagta hai ready hone mein aaj mere bachche ka match hai aur ye hai ki ( he sighed disappointedly )
He went towards the door and knocked on the room door …
ACP sir : Hui nahi ready abhi tak aur kitna time haan…
Arpita (from inside) :ACP sahab match shaam ko abhi nahi aur please agar aap aadhe ghante se pehele vapas aaye na to dekh lijiyega…
ACP sir (In shock): To kya haan…
Arpita ( suddenly something struck in her mind ): To haan main aur zyada time lagaungi…
ACP sir ( looked at the closed door in shock and murmured): Hain ! Ajeeb hai ACP ko dhamki he sighed and sat on the couch with that shocking face while Arpita was laughing her heart out with that "hain"...
Outside the resort :
Abhijeet and Kartik came out near the team…
Vaibhav (smilingly): Guys aa gaye apne captain sahab VIP personality...Abhijeet gave him a shy smile...Kartik pulled his cheeks lovingly…
Kapil sir (coming near them): Achcha to suno sab log dekho aaj ke match mein na humme jitna hai hmm kyunki agar hum jeete to semi final mein pahunch jayenge...aur agar hare ya firr match washout hua kyunki aaj asar hai washout ke shaam ko baarish aa sakti hai to New Zealand pahunchegi semi final…
Tanish ( In shock): Kyun !...
Abhijeet ( sadly): Arre vo isliye kyunki humara net run rate kam hai na unse aur reserve day bhi to semifinal aur final mein rakhe jate hai bass to pray karo baarish na aaye..Every one nodded in sadness…
Voice (excitedly): Arre nahi aayegi tiger chinta mat karo aur mujhe to aaj bhi sixes dekhne hai tumhare...Abhijeet looked at the source and smiled soothingly at him...he came near him and kissed his forehead….while Abhijeet smiled cutely…
Kapil sir ( smiled at their bond) : Chaliye firr chalte hai hmm !
Abhijeet ( In low tone ): Abhi nahi thodi der baad….Kapil and others looked at him confusingly but after seeing the two people coming they could easily sense the reason...All of them smiled disappointedly at him…
DIG sir ( pov) : Ye Abhi bhi na wait to aise kar raha hai lekin gussa dikhana nahi chodna isko hadd hai….( smirked suddenly loudly to make ACP hear ) chalo jao Abhii Kapil sir ke sath….Abhijeet nodded his head disappointment , ACP clenched his fists in anger while all others looked at him confusingly…
Kartik ( casually ): Chalo chalte hai Abhii...Abhijeet nodded at him and looked towards ACP and Arpita for a moment and went from there with his team
ACP sir ( pov) : Ye DIG sahab bhi na paanch minute wait nahi kar sakte the aa hi rahe the na hum dono bhi bhej diya mere bachche ko Kapil ke sath huhh ! maine to socha tha usko apne sath le jaunga...DIG smiled at him teasingly….
DIG sir ( innocently ): Chale ACP sahab ?!...ACP glared at him while Arpita nodded her head in disappointment…and DIG started smiling sheepishly at him...
Arpita ( Excitedly ): Haan haan chaliye aaj mera beta double century marega firse...looking towards ACP and said meaningfully jaldi...ACP rolled his eyes over her..
In Stadium (dressing room ):
Kapil sir ( explaining them ): Dekho Abhijeet bowling lena overcast conditions hai ball swing hogi aur hopefully jaldi wickets mil jayenge humme ( Abhijeet nodded at him obediently )...aur sunno sabse pehele Martin Guptil aur Colin munro aayenge to Tushar dalega...hmm aur Kane Williamson pe Abhijeet dalega hmm samajhgaye na third man pe single rokna jab Kane Williamson aaye...jayo chalo toss ka time hone vala hai….
Outside Stadium :
ACP , DIG and Arpita went inside and seated in the first row in the stadium….after doing the required security check….and CID team got down from the car…
Purvi ( excitedly ): Maza aayega na sir aaj bhi jab Abhijeet ki batting dekhenge…
Daya ( murmured ): Haan haan maza tum log ko aayega pichli baar kandhe pe maari thi kahin iss baar sar pe na maar de ball protective gears pehen lene chahiye the….All other officers hid their laugh with much difficulty on that murmur….
Pankaj ( excitedly ): Chalo jaldi match shuru na hojaye…
All of them went forward for the security check . Purvi and Pankaj successfully went inside...but the machine beeped when Daya entered…
Guard : Dobara aaiye… Daya nodded and he came again but the machine beeped again…
Daya ( In irritation ) : Yaar tum logo ki machine kharab hai….
Guard : Machine kharab nahi hai aap koi metal ki cheez leke aaye ho… (he took him aside and started checking him…) isliye baar baar beep karrahi thi gun jo leke aaye ho….( loudly ) Ramu jao sir ko bulake lao…
Daya ( In convincing tone ): Arre main ek CID officer hun to gun rakhte hai hum log aur main nikalni bhul gaya bass agar shak hai to jo abhi andar gaye unse puchlo…
Guard ( laughing lightly ): Dekha Shayam CID officer keh rahe hai shakal se to chor lagte hai….Daya looked at him angrily…
Daya ( In anger ): Kya kaha tumne...before the guard could reply Ramu came with chief security…
Guard : Arjun sir ye yahan pe gun lekar aaye hain…
Arjun ( to Daya ): Kyun bhai kya karna hain andar match ho raha hai gunda gardi kahin aur dikhana….
Daya ( In convincing tone ): Dekhiye sir mai koi gunda nahi hun ek CID officer hun ye dekhiye mera batch ( showing him his batch )...
Arjun ( after seeing his batch ): Tum ja sakte ho par audience full hai andar seat nahin hai...ek kaam karo covers laga dena agar baarish aayi….Daya looked at him with an open mouth…while all other guards were hiding their laughter with much difficulty...
Daya ( In shock ): Senior Inspector Daya covers lagayega nahi…
Arjun ( casually shrugging his shoulder ) : To firr mat jao tumhari marzi...Ramu , Shyam bahar nikalo isko…
Daya ( putting his hand forward spoke in irritation ): Ruko mai jaa raha hun laga dunga bass….(murmured ) achcha hai kam se kam ball lagne ka khatra to nahi hai na...
Arjun ( exclaimed ) : Excellent problem solve...jaa sakte ho tum Ramu lejao isko…Daya made an annoyed face and went from there
In Stadium :
Match Referee : So Guys I welcome you all for today's clash it is India vs New Zealand… New Zealand is on top of the points table in their pool and India is on 2nd position let's see who makes it to the semis...If India wins today it will be their first semi final in the history of the world cup but if New Zealand wins today it will be their 5th semi final in the history of the world cup...and if this match washes out New Zealand will be in the semis ( nodding his head ) Yes you all have heard it right as New Zealand's net run rate is far better than India so they will go into semis…
Richard Headlee : See I am from New Zealand but I definitely want this match to be completed without any interruptions . As Indian Team is the youngest team in this world cup and their captain is mind blowing so I desperately wanted to see how he will tackle Kiwi's bowling attack…
Match Referee : Yep you are right Richard now let's gear up for the toss.. And you wait inside the com box… ( Richard nodded and went from there after shaking his hand with him ) Now I would like to call Mr. Kane Williamson New Zealand's captain for the toss and Indian Captain Mr. Abhijeet too…
In Audience :
As soon as he came on the field people in the audience started shouting his name and they started jumping with banners in their hands…while he chuckled softly at the warm welcome…
ACP sir ( smiled proudly ): Aagaya mera beta ab to dekhna aaj sixes ki baarish hogi…
Arpita ( smiled disappointedly ): Pradyuman abhi toss ke liye aaya hai bat to lane do na usko kam se kam...DIG laughed at the taunt…while ACP shot her a glare….
DIG sir ( enthusiastically ) : Arre dekhna kaise mera tiger sixes marega aur dekhna peheli ball se stadium ke bahar uda dega…Arpita smiled at him lightly…
In Field :
Match Referee : So guys Abhijeet has the coin and what would you like to choose Kane…
Kane Williamson : Heads…
Match Referee : Heads is the call and ( looking towards the coin ) tails it is...India won the toss...what would you choose Abhijeet…
Abhijeet : Yep we would like to field first as pretty overcast and perfect swinging conditions , these conditions are excellent for bowling so I would like to bowl first and hopefully we get the desired bounce on this pitch so that we can get some early wickets . Although we can't guess how this pitch will work as this is the fresh pitch..so let's hope for the best…
Match Referee : Ya cheers best of luck for the game…( Abhijeet nodded at him with a smile and went from there after shaking his hands with the opposition captain ) so Kane you are going to bat first in today's match…
Kane Williamson ( Looking at the pitch ): Yep I would have bowled first as well ...but hopefully we could overcome their bowling attack and post a huge target on the board..
Match Referee ( shaking his hand ): Cheers mate and best of luck for the game too…( Kane nodded at him with a smile and went from there ) so guys here is the news from centre India have won the toss and elected to field first and this would be a important clash for both as the winner would be in semi finals…
