Ash's Pokemon Journey
Summary: This story is about how I think that ash's journey should have gone through, Kanto, Orange Islands, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova. Smart, a psychic and an Aura user. I do not own pokemon.
Note: I am not doing the Kalos Region. So fairy pokemon and Mega Evolutions don't exist.
Chapter 90
The Battle Arena
The Day Care Center and
The Silver Town Contest
Today the gang was resting in a pokemon center outside Saffron City. Yesterday they had a bit of an excitement; Brock's Mudkip evolved into Marshtomp. Now it was time for Ash to battle the Battle Dome for his next frontier symbol. "I wonder what this frontier battle is going to be like" said Max. "One is for sure it won't be easy like the Battle Factory battle wasn't" said Brock. "Yes," said Ash "but I will beat the Battle Arena like I beat the Battle Factory". "Atta boy Ash" said a voice. It was Scott. "Hi Scott," said Ash "here to see me battle the Battle Arena?" "Of course," answered Scott "and I can't wait to see your battle".
Scott explained that the frontier brain of the Battle Arena was a girl named Greta. Greta also runs a karate dojo and she uses fighting type pokemon. "Her favorite pokemon are Medicham and Hariyama, and her role models are Chuck of the Cianwood Gym and Brawley of the Dewford Gym". "No wonder especially when those two are brilliant fighting type trainers" said Ash. He remembered battling against them and he remembered how brilliantly they handled their fighting type pokemon. He then started to think about what he should do. "I think I shall use those two" he said. "What two Ash?" asked May. "I shall show you at the Battle Arena" replied Ash. Ash went off to call Prof Oak, leaving Scott and the others puzzled with what he said.
Soon Scott brought the gang to the Battle Arena. Since Greta was an arena tycoon, her battle facility was indeed a karate dojo. Ash shouted out at the entrance of the Battle Arena that he wished to battle the Battle Arena. A voice answered back saying "I accept your challenge" and then the doors opened. A blonde haired woman, wearing black and blue karate outfits, greeted Scott and the gang; she was Greta. Greta had a lot of karate students. "Greetings," said Greta "I am Greta the frontier brain of the Battle Arena". "My name is Ash Greta, and I am here to you challenge you" said Ash. "Well Ash I accept your challenge," said Greta "and I hope you're ready". "You bet I am ready" replied Ash. Both Greta and Ash couldn't wait to battle each other. "Before we start Ash you have to spin the wheel first" said Greta. A big roulette wheel came out of the floor. Greta explained to Ash that the wheel would decide which sort of battle they would have. If he rolled a one it would be a one on one battle, a two would be a two on two and a three would be a three on three. Ash spun the wheel and the arrow landed on a two. Ash and Greta would have a two on two pokemon battle.
Ash and Greta took their place of the battling field of the Battle Arena, ready to fight. Scott, the others and all of Greta's students sat on the sidelines to watch. Greta sent out her Hariyama and Medicham. "She's using exactly what Scott said she would" said May. "Now for Ash's choice" said Scott. Ash sent out his Kangaskhan and his Dodrio. "Ah so Ash got Dodrio and Kangaskhan from Prof Oak" said Brock. "But why Kangaskhan?" said Max "normal types have disadvantage over fighting types". "Don't count out Kangaskhan yet Max," said Tomo "Kangaskhan won't be defeated easily, you wait and see".
Greta went with Hariyama first and Ash went off first with Kangaskhan. Her baby was out of her pouch and on Ash's shoulder. "Okay Kangaskhan you start off with aerial ace" said Ash. Kangaskhan charged towards Hariyama. "Use arm thrust Hariyama" said Greta. "Counter that with dynamic punch Kangaskhan" said Ash. Kangaskhan and Hariyama butted their hand and fist with each other and tried to push each other back. "Use water pulse Kangaskhan" said Ash. Kangaskhan fired water pulse, from her mouth, at Hariyama and Hariyama was pushed back at once. "Woah" said Max "I know Kangaskhan are tough, but Ash's Kangaskhan is really tough, especially since she's up against a fighting type pokemon". "That's why I said don't count Kangaskhan out yet" said Tomo "the truth is that Kangaskhan has been a fighter even way before Ash captured it. I know because I saw Kangaskhan fight lots of times when I lived with Ranger Jenny at the Pokemon Reserve". Scott was impressed. "I can see that both you and your pokemon have a very strong spirit Ash," said Greta "but you won't be beating me that easily. Hariyama go in with focus punch". "Move in with thunder punch" said Ash. Kangaskhan and Hariyama punched each other with their punches. Poor Kangaskhan got hurt the most by the focus punch. "Kangaskhan are you all right?" asked Ash. Kangaskhan was all right. "This is a true spirit of battling," said Greta "but I shall end it now. Use focus punch again Hariyama". Hariyama charged to do focus punch, but then it stopped and yellow sparks surrounded it. "Kangaskhan's thunder punch made Hariyama paralyzed" said Max. "Now Hariyama will have some trouble moving because of its paralysis" said May. "Okay Kangaskhan show that Hariyama your focus punch" said Ash. Kangaskhan charged towards Hariyama and punched it hard with focus punch, and Hariyama got really hurt by that. "Now finish it off with mega kick" said Ash. Kangaskhan kicked Hariyama hard and then Hariyama fainted. So Ash was the winner of the first match.
"Goodness me," said May "I know normal type pokemon can be tough, but seriously Ash's Kangaskhan is as strong as dad's Slaking. Actually I think she will defeat Slaking without even breaking a sweat". "I hate to say this, but I think you're right May" said Max. Max was loyal to Norman's Slaking but after seeing Ash's Kangaskhan battle, it was clear that she would defeat Slaking.
Greta's Medicham was up next. "Kangaskhan you up for another battle?" asked Ash. Kangaskhan growled, saying she was. "Okay Medicham start off with ice punch" said Greta. "Counter that with fire punch Kangaskhan" said Ash. Kangaskhan and Medicham butted fists with each other with their punches. Since fire defeats ice, Kangaskhan's fire punch beat Medicham's ice punch and Medicham got thrown back. "I love the moves thunder punch, ice punch and fire punch," said Max, excitedly, "I'm so going to teach my Whismurs and Loudred so moves". "Okay let's get serious now," said Greta "Medicham use confusion". Medicham's eyes turned blue and Kangaskhan got surrounded in a blue light and was lifted into the air. "Woah, Medicham must be strong if it can lift Kangaskhan into the air like that" said Max. "Yes because the stronger the pokemon, which can use confusion, the heavier the things or pokemon it can lift with confusion" said Scott. "I remember going through something like this with Grace," said May "Ash better do something otherwise Kangaskhan will lose". Ash was about to give Kangaskhan an order, but Greta beat Ash to it. "Use high jump kick" she said. Medicham jumped and then kicked Kangaskhan hard. Kangaskhan fell to the ground. "Kangaskhan are you okay?" asked Ash. Kangaskhan wasn't defeated yet, but she was getting tired. "I don't think Kangaskhan will be able to take anymore after another attack" said Tomo. "I agree," said Brock "Kangaskhan looks worn out now". Kangaskhan panted for a minute, but then she fell over in defeat; she was too tired to continue. So Greta was the winner of the second match, and it was down to one and one now.
Ash returned Kangaskhan, and her baby, to the pokeball for a rest. "Dodrio it's up to you now" he said. The three Dodrio heads chirped, showing they were ready to fight. "I hope Dodrio can win this," said Tomo "I mean Medicham knows ice punch and flying pokemon like Dodrio get beaten from ice types". "That's true," said Scott "but I'm pretty sure Ash will come up with something".
Greta ordered her Medicham to start off with ice punch. "Don't let that ice punch hit you Dodrio," said Ash "use air cutter". Dodrio fired air cutter and the energy disks hit Medicham. "Bullseye!" cheered Max. "Yeah and air cutter is a flying move so Medicham would have the disadvantage" said Tomo. But Medicham was still standing strong. "Greta's Medicham won't be beaten that easily," said Scott "Greta has trained both her Medicham and her Hariyama well". "Okay Medicham let's use confusion" said Greta. Again Medicham's eyes glowed blue and Dodrio was lifted into the air. "Quick use tri attack Dodrio" said Ash. Dodrio managed to fire tri attack at Medicham, and after Medicham got hit Dodrio was free from the confusion attack. Just then a flame surrounded Medicham and then disappeared. "Medicham has been burned," said Brock "tri attack has a small chance of burning, paralyzing or freezing the opponent". "Medicham is going to have it tough now" said Tomo. Greta decided to end the battle fast before her Medicham suffered more damage. "Medicham use ice punch" she said. Medicham got ready to use ice punch on Dodrio. "Hyper beam Dodrio" said Ash. The middle head of Dodrio opened up its beak and fired hyper beam at Medicham. "Ah ha," said Max "hyper beam is one of my favorite normal type moves". "That was a direct hit too" said Brock. Medicham got hurt by the hyper beam, and then its burn kicked in. Medicham couldn't take anymore and fainted, making Dodrio the winner.
So Ash was the winner of the battle. "Well done Ash," said Greta "you kept a cool head during the battle, and thought well on your feat". "I'm no fighting warrior," said Ash "but I do know how to battle when it comes to pokemon". "I saw that during the battle," said Greta "and this battle was the best battle I've had for a while". "And it was the best battle I've watched in a while" said Scott. Greta held out her frontier symbol to Ash. "It is my greatest honor to give you the Guts Symbol Ash" she said. The Guts Symbol had two L's joining together, looking like a rectangle. Ash was happy to have earned his second frontier symbol. "Ash the next battle facility is just south of Lavender Town" said Scott. "That's good," said Ash "there's a pokemon contest on the way to Lavender Town. And there is one in Lavender Town too". So the gang would be making quite a few stops now and then.
The gang said goodbye to Scott and Greta and headed off on their next destination.
Today the gang was heading for a town called Silver Town, which was somewhere between Saffron City and Lavender Town. There was a pokemon contest being held there and Ash and May wanted to compete in it. Just then May noticed they had come to a farm. "Awe I wonder if we can take a rest here" said May.
Suddenly two Voltorbs appeared. "Eep!" said May, who was scared of the Voltorbs. "Those Voltorbs must be guarding this farm" said Ash. Just then a girl, with red brownish hair, turned up. "You're right," she said "our Voltorbs here keep out trespassers". She stared at Ash and May. "I know you two. You're Ash who won the Cerulean City contest, and you're May who won the Saffron City contest. I can't believe I'm seeing two pokemon coordinators".
The girl whose name was Nicolette introduced the gang to her parents Christopher and Jeannie. Christopher and Jeannie welcomed the gang and invited them to stay. "What farm do you run here?" asked May. "We are an egg ranch," said Christopher "so we raise pokemon eggs". "Really?" asked Ash "wow it would be nice to see pokemon eggs again. The last time we saw pokemon eggs was at the Torchic farm in Hoenn where there were Torchic eggs". "You're right Ash," said Brock "seeing pokemon eggs again would be nice". "I'm happy to see you two here, May and Ash" said Jeannie. Christopher explained that their daughter Nicolette wants to become a pokemon coordinator too. "We would like Nicolette to get out on her own pokemon journey, but she doesn't want to leave the nest". "Nicolette is a stubborn type," said Jeannie "so she won't admit that she really wants to get out and become a pokemon coordinator".
A while later Max was tending to May's Munchlax. Max liked Munchlax; it reminded him of when his Snorlax was a Munchlax before it evolved and before he captured it. Nicolette watched Max tend to Munchlax. "Very nice," she said "okay then I would like to have a test battle with Munchlax". "Munchlax belongs to my sister, so you will have to ask her" said Max.
Just then May turned up. "Hey Nicolette," she said "your parents just said that you want to become a pokemon coordinator". Nicolette blushed in embarrassment; she hated it when her parents discussed her desires with other people. "I'm happy with just staying here and raising eggs on the farm" said Nicolette. It was just as Christopher and Jeannie said; Nicolette didn't want to admit yet that she wanted to go on a pokemon journey. "But I do want to have a test battle against your Munchlax". May wasn't sure about that; Munchlax was still new and she hadn't really trained Munchlax that much yet. But Nicolette insisted to battle Munchlax and May agreed to battle.
So May and Nicolette got into position for their battle. Nicolette had a Vileplume and May told her Munchlax to get ready. Despite being new Munchlax did know a few moves. He knew tackle, lick, metronome, and by surprise, he knew ice beam, thunderbolt, flamethrower and solar beam. "Vileplume show them your petal dance" said Nicolette. Vileplume shot lots of petals at Munchlax and Munchlax got hit. Unfortunately Vileplume became confused because of using petal dance. "Okay I must stay calm," said May "Munchlax use flamethrower". Nicolette was surprised to know that May's Munchlax knew flamethrower. "Quick Vileplume dodge it and then use stun spore" she said. Vileplume managed to avoid being hit by the flamethrower and it fired a stun spore at Munchlax, despite being confused. Munchlax was now paralyzed and had trouble moving. "Now use bullet seed" said Nicolette. Vileplume fired bullet seed at Munchlax and Munchlax got hit. Nicolette felt for sure that she was going to win this battle. But May wasn't backing down. "Munchlax show them what you are made of" she said. Munchlax started to get all bulked up and then he charged at Vileplume and punched it really hard. "Munchlax learned focus punch" said Max. "Wow that's great Munchlax," said May "now let's use solarbeam". Munchlax gathered up energy and fired solarbeam at Vileplume. Vileplume tried to dodge, but it was too hit. Vileplume got struck by the solarbeam and fainted. Nicolette was disappointed with her loss, but she said to May that it was a good match.
After the battle was over, the gang was given a tour of a barn where pokemon eggs were kept. There were shelves of pokemon eggs everywhere. "Wow so many," said May "oh I wish I had a pokemon egg of my own. I find Ash lucky because he's had pokemon eggs before". "It's true I have," said Ash "and having a pokemon hatch off the egg is great". "Same with me," said Tomo "my Smoochum hatched out of an egg too when I received her". Christopher explained that most of the eggs belonged to trainers, who asked them to look after, and the rest were theirs. "We have two eggs that will hatch soon" said Jeannie. There was a green egg with red, yellow and black markings; it was a Natu egg. The second egg was light red, with dark red patterns; this was a Vulpix egg. "Wow I want to see them hatch already" said Max. Tomo noticed that there two eggs on the side. One was a Smoochum egg and the other was a very light grey egg; it was a Castform egg. "Are these yours too?" asked Tomo. "Oh no these two are put up for adoption," said Christopher "we got a telephone call yesterday and a man and a woman asked us if they could adopt a pokemon egg each, and we agreed. The pink egg with yellow markings is for the woman and the light grey egg is for the man. They'll be coming here later to pick them up". "What about your Voltorbs?" asked Max. "Don't you worry," said Jeannie "we told them that Voltorbs were guarding the ranch and we told the Voltorbs that people were coming today. So they won't attack them".
What no one knew was that the man and woman that was going to pick up the two pokemon eggs was Jessie and James. They wanted to steal pokemon eggs from the egg ranch of course, but Jessie and James insisted on receiving an egg each first. Right now there were standing just outside the ranch. "So what's our plan of stealing all the egg in that ranch?" asked Meowth. "Simple Meowth," said Jessie "while James and I go in there to collect our eggs, you will sneak in and hide yourself in wherever the eggs are. And then when it's night time you grab all the eggs and meet us back in the field. Got it?" "Sure, but I won't be able to grab them all by myself" said Meowth. "Not to worry," said James "my Mime Jr and Chimecho will help you carry the eggs with confusion". "Got it, well leave it to me then" said Meowth. "Come on James, let's get ready to pick up our pokemon" said Jessie. "Let's" said James.
That evening the gang had just finished dinner with Christopher, Jeannie and Nicolette. "That was delicious" said Brock. "I'm glad you liked it" said Jeannie. Just then there was a ding dong on the door. "Ah that must be the man and woman who are here to collect their eggs" said Christopher. "Nicolette wash up the dishes while your dad and I give the man and woman their eggs" said Jeannie. "Okay mum" said Nicolette. While Christopher and Jeannie went to do their work, the gang helped Nicolette tidy up. May talked to Nicolette again about her desire to travel to become a pokemon coordinator, but Nicolette insisted that she didn't have the confidence to do it.
Meanwhile Jessie and James were talking to Jeannie and Christopher. Jessie and James had dressed into normal clothing and tied back their hair; they didn't anyone to know who they really were. "We thank you for letting us adopt a pokemon egg each," said James "we love caring for baby pokemon". "Especially really cute ones" said Jessie. "Our pleasure," said Christopher "and I pray that you will raise the pokemon lovingly". Christopher and Jeannie led Jessie and James to the barn where the eggs were. Jessie and James were amazed with hoe many eggs were in the barn. Meowth was secretly following them, and he had Chimecho and Mime Jr with them. They too saw the eggs. "Come on you two, it's hiding time" said Meowth. Meowth, Mime Jr and Chimecho hid themselves by the shelves where no one could see them. 'Now we wait to strike' thought Meowth. Jessie and James got their eggs, thanked Christopher and Jeannie and left. "Now we wait by the field for Meowth to deliver the eggs to us" whispered James. "All those eggs will make a great haul for Team Rocket" said Jessie.
When night fell Meowth made his move. Christopher and Jeannie were in their examination barn taking care of the Natu egg and Vulpix egg. "Okay Chimecho and Mime Jr it's time for work" said Meowth. He found a lot of empty egg containers and filled them all up with the pokemon eggs. Then Chimecho and Mime Jr carried all the containers outside with confusion. They ran as fast as they could and then Meowth saw the room where the Nat and Vulpix eggs were. "Ah those two eggs are hatching now, well I better grab them now" he said. He fired swift at the window and it broke, then he jumped into the barn and took the eggs. "Hey come back here!" shouted Christopher. But Meowth was out of their sight.
At that moment Nicolette and the gang turned up; they heard Christopher's shouting. "A Meowth broke into the barn and took the two eggs that are close to hatching" said Christopher. "That must be Team Rocket's Meowth" said Ash. He explained about Team Rocket and their bad ways of stealing someone else's pokemon. "We must get the eggs back quick" said Jeannie. Suddenly they heard an explosion. "That was the Voltorbs," said Nicolette "let's hurry".
At that time Meowth, Chimecho and Mime Jr met up with Jessie and James. Jessie and James were back in their Team Rocket uniforms now. The Voltorbs were defeated because Jessie's Loudred knocked them out. "Good work," Jessie said to Meowth "time to leave". They placed the eggs into a big plastic box that was tied to the balloon and got the balloon flying.
But then Nicolette, her parents and the gang turned up. "Hold it Team Rocket!" shouted Ash. "Hey look at that" said Nicolette. Everyone saw the plastic box with the pokemon eggs inside. "Return those eggs at once!" shouted Nicolette. Pikachu and Growlithe wanted to attack the balloon, but they couldn't. If they attack the balloon then the eggs would get hurt in the process. "We need a pokemon that knows stun spore;" said Ash "Team Rocket will get paralyzed but the eggs won't". "Leave it to me Ash" smile Nicolette. She sent out her Vileplume and ordered it to use stun spore. Team Rocket got paralyzed at once. "Now petal dance". Vileplume made Team Rocket surrounded by petals and it cut the ropes that were holding the box of eggs. The pokemon eggs fell out of the box at once. "Catch the eggs!" shouted Christopher. Everyone dashed and they caught all the eggs, even the Vulpix and Natu eggs. Team Rocket saw what happened. "We better leave here, before they take away our pokemon eggs" said James. Jessie agreed; she didn't want to lose her egg like James didn't either. Even Meowth agreed even though they hadn't any new pokemon for the boss. James released his Weezing, told it to use smokescreen and they left in a hurry. "This is the first time in ages that we've stopped Team Rocket without making them blast off" said Brock. "Yeas, but at least they didn't get away with the eggs" said Ash.
When morning came the Vulpix egg and the Natu egg hatched into a healthy baby Vulpix and Natu. Christopher and Jeannie were relieved to have seen the baby pokemon hatch safely. "I've decided," said Nicolette "I am going to go out on a journey, capture more pokemon and become a pokemon coordinator". Christopher, Jeannie and the gang were happy to know that Nicolette will proceed of her dream of becoming a pokemon coordinator. It was now time for the gang to leave, but before they went Nicolette and her family had a surprise for May. Nicolette presented a pokemon egg, in a container, to May. "Hey that's an Eevee egg" said Ash, who remembered when his Eevees were eggs. "This is to say thank you for helping save our eggs and for giving me confidence on what I really want to do May" she said. May was delighted and accepted the Eevee egg at once. "I can't wait for Eevee to hatch" smiled May. Then Christopher held out the newly hatched Natu to the gang. "I would like it if one of you had the Natu," he said "this Natu has a lot of energy and I think it will be happy with one of you since you kids are pokemon trainers". Tomo asked if he could have Natu. "I've always wanted to have a Natu and evolve it to Xatu" he said. Everyone else saw nothing wrong with that so Tomo kept Natu.
The gang left the egg ranch to continue onto Silver Town, leaving Nicolette to plan on her pokemon journey.
The gang was finally at Silver Town and Ash and May were getting ready for the contest. May decided to use Squirtle for the appeal rounds and Combusken for the battle rounds. Ash decided to use Espeon for the appeal rounds and Pidgeot for the battle rounds. Ash was looking up something on his pokenav. "What's up Ash?" asked Brock. "Well there is a pokemon contest coming up in Lavender Town," said Ash "so I'm trying to figure where we should go after this contest is done". The next battle facility, the Battle Dome, was near Lavender Town but Ash wanted to check when the Lavender contest would be held. "Okay we'll head to Lavender Town first for the pokemon contest and then head over for the Battle Dome". The others liked the idea.
It was soon time for the Silver Town contest. Lilian did the usual introductions and showed off the Silver Town ribbon. The ribbon had two blue ribbons with a white outline dangling from the pin. May, Ash and the other coordinators were ready for the contest to start. Suddenly a man, wearing a smart business suit, came running in. "Sorry, I hope I'm not too late for the contest" he said. The man's name was Jeremy and he was a salaryman and a contestant in the contest. Ash and May were surprised to know that a salaryman was participating. Brock, Max and Tomo were surprised too. "Do you think that man will be okay?" asked Max "he didn't look like the type of man that would enter a contest to me". "Well we must never judge appearances," said Brock "so we'll just see what he can do".
The appeal rounds were soon on the way. There was a Bellossom, an Exeggutor and a Farfetch'd. May was next and she called out Squirtle. As soon as Squirtle came out of his pokeball he did ice beam while spinning, which created a rain of sparkles as he landed on the stage. The audience liked it. Then Squirtle did bubble and created lots of little bubbles and a big bubble. To finish it off Squirtle did ice beam which burst all of the small bubbles and it did burst the big bubble but it created an ice sculpture after the bubble burst. Then Squirtle landed on the ice sculpture to finish.
Ash came up next and he released Espeon. "Espeon use swift" he said. Espeon fired a lot of stars from her mouth and then used confusion to move all the stars around. She made shapes and patterns with the stars and the judges thought it was a work of art. Then came Jeremy, but he was wearing a rock star sort of outfit; black leather jacket and black trousers, a pair of shades and a pair of black gloves. He called out a Butterfree and he told it to use stun spore and poison powder. It created a wave of purple and orange pollen. Then he told Butterfree to use safeguard. The light from Butterfree's safeguard made the orange and purple pollen light up like the northern lights. Everyone was amazed with Jeremy's performance. "It looks like we have a tough rival on our hands today May" said Ash. "I agree" said May.
Suddenly a woman and a boy came up to the stage. "Stop it!" shouted the woman "this has gone on long enough". The woman's name was Mandy and the boy's name was Nicolas and they were Jeremy's wife and son. Mandy and Nicolas were not happy with what Jeremy was doing; they thought he was being childish being in a pokemon contest. Jeremy tried to reason with them, saying that he has wanted to enter a pokemon contest for ages. Mandy still didn't take his words and ordered Jeremy to just come home at once. Ash and May thought Mandy and Nicolas were being unfair and decided to help. "Wait a minute" said Ash. "Let Jeremy finish this contest" said May. Mandy told Ash and May not to interfere since this was a family thing. "May and I are pokemon coordinators and we understand Jeremy's desire to enter a pokemon contest" said Ash. "That's right," said May "Jeremy you continue being in this contest, otherwise you will be just miserable later on". Jeremy stared at Ash and May and agreed with them. He told his son and wife that he was going to continue being in today's contest. Lilian, the judges and the audience wanted Jeremy to continue too. Mandy saw that she was outnumbered and couldn't stop Jeremy.
So Jeremy continued participating in the contest and he got to the battle rounds with Ash, May and another coordinator. May had to face the other coordinator and Ash had to face Jeremy. May easily defeated her opponents Exeggutor with Combusken's flamethrower. When it came to Ash and Jeremy, well Ash had a real challenge. Jeremy was using a Venasaur while Ash was using Pidgeot. But Jeremy's Venasaur was no pushover; it was slightly bigger than a normal Venasaur and it didn't get weak when Pidgeot did any flying attacks against it. Ash saw right away that Jeremy's Venasaur was really strong; so strong not even his Venasaur would stand a chance. Finally Ash lost all his points and lost the round, so May had to face Jeremy in the last round.
Unbeknown to Jeremy, his son Nicolas saw the battle and he was impressed with his dad and Venasaur. Nicolas ran to Mandy, who was about to leave the contest hall. "Mum, dad was amazing," he said "his Venasaur, who he usually asleep most of the time, didn't break a sweat against that Pidgeot". Mandy sighed. "Well your had went through a lot with Venasaur ever since it was a Bulbasaur" she said. She explained to Nicolas back when she and Jeremy were younger; Jeremy was a leader of his own rock n roll band as well as a pokemon trainer. Back then his Venasaur was an Ivysaur. Jeremy had told Mandy all about the times of when he travelled as a trainer but had to stop because he was busy in his band. But his Ivysaur had grown pretty strong. "It's strange, I haven't thought about the past for years" Mandy finished. Nicolas was amazed by this because his parents had never told him about their pasts like that before. Mandy and Nicolas decided to stay and watch Jeremy till the contest is finished.
Now it was time for May and Jeremy to fight. Jeremy called out his Venasaur and May called out her Combusken. Ash was sitting in the seats with the others. "May's going to have it tough here," said Ash "Jeremy's Venasaur is no push over". "I agree Ash," said Brock "especially since your Pidgeot had no chance against it". They all looked on worriedly. Jeremy started things off with having his Venasaur use razor leaf. May ordered her Combusken to use flamethrower. The flamethrower burned through the leaves but as it was about to hit Venasaur, Venasaur broke the flamethrower apart with vine whip. Everyone was surprised with that. "I don't know how long Jeremy has had that Venasaur," said Ash "but he has trained it very well". "Yeah and I fear May might not win this one" said Max. Jeremy made his move; he told Venasaur to use frenzy plant. Frenzy plant was the strongest grass type move ever and only the fully evolved grass starter pokemon, like Venasaur, Meganium and Sceptile, knew it. "Oh no, this is bad for May" said Ash; his Venasaur and Meganium knew frenzy plant and he knew how powerful the move was. Venasaur made lots of spikey roots come out of the ground and one of them struck Combusken. May was in trouble now; she was losing more and more points. "May take a look at Venasaur" Ash called out. May looked at Venasaur and saw it was tired now; after using frenzy plant the user has to recharge. "Okay Combusken move in with quick attack" said May. Combusken charged at Venasaur with quick attack and then he started pecking Venasaur. Jeremy could see that Venasaur was getting creamed and decided to go for broke; he told Venasaur to use frenzy plant again. Combusken got hit again by the spikey roots, but he managed to strike Venasaur with sky uppercut. Venasaur got defeated by that attack, and Jeremy lost.
So May was the winner of the Silver Town ribbon, and Nicolas and Mandy thought that both Jeremy and his pokemon were great. Jeremy was happy to have had a great time in the contest. The gang was happy that all went well for Jeremy and his family. So May now had two Kanto ribbons.
I'm sorry to keep you waiting; my sister keeps on hogging my computer when she's home so I try to write my chapters whenever she's not home. To make things clear I'm having Ash use his Johto and Kanto pokemon during the Battle Frontier arc, but I'll still have him train his Hoenn pokemon. I know Ash used Snorlax and Grovyle when he battled Greta. But I decided to have him use Kangaskhan and Dodrio. I decided to give Jessie and James a Smoochum and Castform egg because Jessie loved Smoochum and James would have loved Castform since it was adorable. I'll be having Jessie, James and Meowth talks about their successes in Kanto later so don't think I'm leaving them out.
