Ash's Pokemon Journey

Summary: This story is about how I think that ash's journey should have gone through, Kanto, Orange Islands, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova. Smart, a psychic and an Aura user. I do not own pokemon.

Note: I am not doing the Kalos Region. So fairy pokemon and Mega Evolutions don't exist.

Chapter 100

Battle Pyramid 1and

The Berry forest

The time for Ash to face Brandon was now here. After witnessing Regirock battling the tomb robber's Victreebel yesterday, Ash had a good think about what pokemon he should use against Regirock. Ash had also asked Brandon if he had Registeel and Regice, but Brandon didn't yet and he was searching for them.

Now everyone was in the Battle Pyramid and Ash and Brandon had taken their places on the battlefield. Scott and the others were in the audience seats. "I wonder what pokemon Ash is going to use?" said May. "Probably one of his legendary pokemon" said Max. "Actually he isn't;" said Brock "Ash told me that using a legendary pokemon would make this battle too easy for him to win. Ash wants to have a real challenge against Regirock so he will be using a non-legendary pokemon". "That makes sense," said Scott "Ash's Lugia was equally matched with Articuno when he faced Nolan, and his Celebi easily took down Spencer's Claydol in just a few minutes. So I understand what Ash is feeling". Samuel explained that the challenge was a one on one pokemon and declared it to begin.

After Brandon tossed out his Regirock, Ash tossed out his Gyarados. "Gyarados is a good choice because its water attacks would defeat a rock type pokemon like Regirock" said Max. "Yes but that tomb robber's Victreebel was easily defeated without Regirock breaking a sweat" said Brock. Ash started off by telling his Gyarados to use dragon breath, but Regirock dodged it and fought back with stone edge. "Use iron tail to break the stones Gyarados and then move in with aqua tail" said Ash. Gyarados broke the stones like a sword and then she moved towards Regirock and hit it with aqua tail. "Hey Gyarados is doing well" said May. "Yes but look, Regirock is still standing strong like the aqua tail didn't do a thing" said Max. "Well it is a legendary pokemon" Tomo pointed out. Brandon ordered his Regirock to use sandstorm, which spread sand everywhere. Ash had an idea; he ordered Gyarados to use rain dance. When it started to rain the sand storm vanished. Max pointed out that rain dance would power up Gyarados' water type moves. Ash ordered Gyarados to use hydro pump next and Regirock got hit by it. "Bullseye!" said Tomo "Regirock will be in trouble now". Regirock did get weakened a lot from that attack, but it was still not beaten yet. Brandon told Regirock to use lock on. Ash warned Gyarados to be careful because the next attack would be a direct hit. The next attack was a surprise; Regirock knew zap cannon. Thanks to the move lock on, Gyarados got hit by the zap cannon. "Oh no Gyarados is in trouble now;" said Max "since its part water and flying zap cannon is really effective". Ash called out to Gyarados and asked her if she was okay. Gyarados was hurt from the zap cannon attack, but she was still hanging on a bit. "If Gyarados gets hit one more time it will be over" said Brock. Ash told Gyarados to use hydro pump one more time. Brandon told his Regirock to dodge and use stone edge. Regirock dodged the hydro pump and tossed stone edge at Gyarados. Gyarados didn't have the chance to dodge the stones and got hit by them. She couldn't take anymore after that attack and fainted. So Ash lost the challenge.

Ash went over to Gyarados and asked her if she was okay. She was fine, but she was disappointed that she lost the battle. "Don't worry Gyarados, Regirock was just stronger than us that's all" said Ash, kindly. Ash figured that Regirock would be very tough to beat despite the advantage type. Brandon returned his Regirock and spoke to Ash. "That was a fine battle you gave me young man, despite the lost," he said "and I could see the trust between you and Gyarados". "I've had Gyarados ever since I started becoming a pokemon trainer; I caught her as a Magikarp on the first day" said Ash. "That explains it and it proves you are connected with your pokemon" said Brandon. "Is it alright for me to ask you for a rematch?" asked Ash. "Yes but you will have to wait a while, because I have ruins to visit" said Brandon. "I understand and I can wait," said Ash "and I will train myself and my pokemon more for the rematch".

When Scott and the gang exited the Battle Pyramid, the pyramids corners slid outward and then the pyramid started to take off into the air. The pyramid had rotors, which could make the Battle Pyramid fly. The gang was amazed by that. "That is how Brandon travels to ruins all over the world," said Scott "he takes his Battle Pyramid where ever he goes". "I wonder where he'll be going next?" said Max. "Well we will have to wait to find out," said Ash "in the mean time we can use the wait to get to the Kanto Grand Festival". The others agreed to that idea. Scott promised he would let Ash know when the Battle Pyramid was free to be challenged again.

So with Ash's first lost against the battle frontier, it was time for the gang to head out for the Indigo Plateau.

After leaving where the Battle Pyramid was, the gang were on the way to the Indigo Plateau for the grand festival. May was excited and didn't stop looking at her five Kanto ribbons. "I wonder what this grand festival is going to be like" she said. "One thing for sure it will be tough to earn the title top coordinator just like the Hoenn grand festival was" said Ash. "Yeah because there will be tough competitors for you and Ash to go against with May" said Max. May was still excited about entering the grand festival and Ash couldn't wait either.

Suddenly the gang heard shouting from behind. A man was shouted at a bunch of Aipoms who were carrying berries in their arms. The man was yelling "Stop thieves!" Just then the Aipoms ran over to the gang and one took May's ribbon case and another took Ash's hat. May was not happy that her ribbons being stolen. The man ran up to the gang and asked them if they were okay. "What on earth are the Aipoms doing?" asked Ash. "Come with me to my place and I will explain" said the man.

The man's name was Taylor and he was a berry farmer who grew berries to make pokeblocks to sell and he had a very big orchard. But all of his berry trees had no berries. Taylor explained that the Aipoms would often come and get some of his berries only when they were hungry. But now the Aipoms had taken all of berries off the berry trees and Mankeys, Vigoroths and Slakings were doing it too. "Why are they doing this?" asked Brock. "Well it's like this" said Taylor. He explained one foggy night a traveler was lost on the mountain roads, and there he saw a shadow of what looked like a giant monster behind a giant wooden fence and gate. "He ran away and found me and told me all about his encounter". The gang was surprised by that story. "Do you think that monster has something to do about the pokemon around here taking all your berries?" asked Brock. "I do not know I'm afraid" said Taylor. "We should check this out," said Ash "if there is a giant monster about it will mean trouble". "Yeah and I want my ribbons back" said May. It's true that May wasn't one who would agree with Ash's plan, especially if it was to do with something scary, but she wanted her ribbons back otherwise she couldn't participate in the grand festival. So May was being brave this time. Taylor agreed to go with the gang because he wanted to see what was going on too.

What no one, not even the wild pokemon, knew was this giant monster was a hoax created by Team Rocket. Meowth, dressed like a temple priest, convinced the wild pokemon that the giant monster was a mountain king, and the pokemon believed him. Meowth also made them believe that the mountain king wanted all the berries for food and to keep him happy. But really Team Rocket was having the pokemon steal all the berries for them. Team Rocket knew about the Kanto grand festival at the Indigo Plateau and they wished to use all the berries to sell them to trainers for pokeblocks at the Indigo Plateau. "This was a great idea to use a mountain king to make all the pokemon around here under your commands Meowth" said Jessie. "And they say that king of the mountain is just a kid's game" said Meowth. James noticed May's ribbon case with the berries, and Jessie decided she would use them to enter the grand festival herself. James and Meowth knew she didn't win them, but they knew fully well not to argue with Jessie.

Meanwhile Taylor and the gang were heading to where the traveler said he saw the monster, when suddenly they saw some Mankeys carrying some berries. "Let's follow them, they might lead us to the monster" said Ash. Taylor and the others agreed. They followed the Mankeys to the giant wooden fence and some Vigoroths, Slakings and Aipoms were there too all carrying berries. "So all the berries are for the giant monster" said Ash. Taylor and the gang were hiding behind the bushes. Meowth thanked the pokemon for the berries and then the gate opened. "Now I can get my ribbons back" said May. May ran towards the gate, and the others followed.

Once Taylor and the gang went through the gate, they saw millions of berries and they saw Team Rocket right away. "Why am I not surprised that you would be behind this?" said Ash. Team Rocket simply told the gang their plan of making pokeblocks out of the berries and then sell them at the Indigo Plateau. May saw Jessie was holding her ribbon case and demanded to have them back. But Jessie just said she was going to use them for the grand festival herself. Meowth revealed the monster to Taylor and the gang; it was a giant Slaking. "That thing is just a robot Slaking" said Ash. His aura revealed to him that the Slaking wasn't real.

Meowth call forward the wild pokemon and told them to get rid of the gang. Ash tried to tell the pokemon that the mountain king was a fake but Meowth convinced the pokemon that Ash was lying. The gang was in trouble. "Run for it!" shouted Taylor. He and the gang ran away with the wild pokemon chasing them. "This plan is working nicely" said Jessie. "Now let's feed our monster all these berries" said Meowth.

Meanwhile Taylor and the gang were running from the wild pokemon. "Growlithe use roar" said Tomo. Growlithe roared and the pokemon ran away. "What should we do now?" asked Tomo. "Well we can't let Team Rocket get away with this," said Ash "and we need to get the pokemon to belive that the giant Slaking isn't real". Just then they heard a noise. "I think the pokemon are coming back" said Brock. Taylor told everyone to split up; Max and May went with Taylor and Ash and Tomo went with Brock.

Ash, Tomo and Brock got chased by a bunch of Aipoms. Tomo was about to tell his Growlithe to use roar again, but then they came to a cliff. "We better go back" said Brock. Suddenly two Aipoms came and climbed over Ash. One of them wore Ash's hat. "Hey cut that out" said Ash, angrily and trying to get the Aipoms off him. Suddenly Ash slipped down the cliff with the two Aipoms. "Ash!" cried Tomo. He and Brock got worried.

Ash and the Aipoms slid down the cliff and ended up in a bush. The Aipom dropped Ash's hat onto the ground. Just before it could get to the hat, Ash used his psychic power to get his hat before Aipom. The Aipoms were impressed with Ash's power. "Listen to me you two," said Ash "you can't go around taking things that aren't yours. Especially other people's things; stealing is bad". The Aipoms felt sorry for taking Ash's hat. Ash told the Aipoms about the giant Slaking being a fake and then he told them to tell the other wild pokemon. Just then Brock and Tomo turned up and Pikachu was happy to see that Ash was okay. "We better go and find Taylor, May and Max" said Brock. Ash and Tomo agreed and they left, leaving the two Aipoms.

Meanwhile Taylor, May and Max were hiding from some Mankeys, Vigoroths and Slakings. "We need to get my ribbons back" said May. She and Max and Taylor ran back to where Team Rocket and their Giant Slaking were. By that time Team Rocket made their giant robot swallow every berry. "Okay now off to the Indigo Plateau" said Jessie. "Not so fast!" shouted May; she and Max and Taylor had turned up. May told Team Rocket to give back her ribbons and Max told them to return the berries. Jessie and James refused and Meowth got the giant Slaking to move; he held the remote control.

May decided to fight back and called out her Combusken. Combusken used fire spin, but the Giant Slaking just blew it away with fan power. The giant Slaking broke through the fence and started to walk away. Taylor was worried; the giant Slaking would cause a lot of damage in the area. At that time Ash, Tomo and Brock turned up and Pikachu and Growlithe attacked it with thunderbolt and flamethrower. Ash then sent out his Snorlax to fight the giant Slaking; he had used his pokedex to switch one of his current pokemon for Snorlax. "Use fire punch on that giant Slaking Snorlax" said Ash. Snorlax started to punch the Slaking right away. May and Tomo stepped in to help and ordered Combusken and Growlithe to use flamethrower. Together the flamethrower and fire punch attacks set the giant Slaking on fire. Brock released his Marshtomp and had it use water gun. When the flames were out thanks to Marshtomp's water gun attack, the giant Slaking revealed its robotic form. "I told you it was a robot" said Ash.

At that moment the wild pokemon turned up. The two Aipoms from earlier told the other pokemon what Ash told them. Now that they saw the robotic Slaking, they now knew that Ash was telling the truth. The wild pokemon started to attack the robot kicking, punching and scratching it. That of course made Team Rocket and they tried to get the wild pokemon off them. The wild pokemon attacked some more, and then the robotic Slaking started to malfunction and break down. It fell over and all the berries came out of it and so did Team Rocket.

May told Jessie again to return her ribbons, but again Jessie refused. Jessie sent out her Seviper to battle. May ordered her Combusken to use quick attack, and Combusken tackled Seviper really hard. Jessie ordered Seviper to use bite, but Combusken dodged and punched Seviper hard with sky upper cut. Seviper crashed into Jessie, and May's ribbon case flew out of Jessie's arms. May caught her ribbon case and was happy to have her ribbons back. Ash had enough of this and ordered Pikachu to use volt tackle. Team Rocket went flying after Pikachu charged at them with volt tackle.

So in the end Taylor got his berries back, Ash got his hat back and May got her ribbons back. Taylor thanked the gang for the help and the wild pokemon were happy to have their home safe again. The gang then said goodbye to Taylor and the pokemon; it was time for them to leave. Taylor wished Ash and May luck for the grand festival and the gang went on their way for the Indigo Plateau.

Sorry for the wait. I did say that Ash wasn't going to use his legendary pokemon against the legendary golems. Ash will get the two Aipoms in the next chapter, which is about the kanto grand festival. I didn't like it with what happened with Aipom and Ambipom in the anime. I mean what was the point of having Ambipom leave after finding a new love in pokemon ping pong, and why they didn't have Dawn catch a new Aipom or Ambipom because she was great with that. Here's my plan for the two Aipoms; Ash will catch the two Aipoms, but he will trade one of them with Dawn for the Buizel because of how his female Aipom acts all girlie. (I liked that trading part). Ash's Aipom will be a male who likes to fight as well as doing gymnastics. Now I have decided to do the pokemon ping pong part and have Ambipom go with O, but Dawn's Ambipom with give her child to Dawn. I decided to have her have an egg before she leaves. I hope you will agree to this idea. I'm going to do the Kanto Grand Festival next.
