Ash's Pokemon Journey
Summary: This story is about how I think that ash's journey should have gone through, Kanto, Orange Islands, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova. Smart, a psychic and an Aura user. I do not own pokemon.
Note: I am not doing the Kalos Region. So fairy pokemon and Mega Evolutions don't exist.
Chapter 135
The Pokemon Mansion,
Gligar's Training Day
And The Hearthome Collection
There was bad weather on the way today and the gang were looking for shelter before the rain came. Suddenly a Cleffa came out of a bush. "Wow a Cleffa," said Dawn "I wonder what's it doing out here?" Before Dawn's question could be answered, an Eevee ran over to the Cleffa and spoke to it. "That Eevee is telling Cleffa it shouldn't have wondered off from the mansion like that" said Ash. "What mansion?" said Dawn. Just then a woman dressed in maid's clothing ran up. "There you are Cleffa please don't wonder off again" she said. She noticed the gang. "Hello there, are you kids lost?" "Not really, but we do need shelter before the rain comes" said Ash. "Well then follow me back to the mansion, Mr Backlot won't mind you staying there" said the woman.
The woman's name was Monica and she worked as caretaker of Backlot Mansion. Backlot Mansion was a huge mansion that belonged to a man named Mr Backlot. It also had a huge garden which Mr Backlot called the trophy garden. Monica introduced Mr Backlot to the gang and explained they needed shelter from the rain outside. "You kids are welcome to stay here; it's such dreadful weather outside" said Mr Backlot. The gang was delighted.
Suddenly some baby pokemon turned up. There were three Pichus, two Igglybuffs, a Azuril and two Budews. "Eevee and I found Cleffa everyone" said Monica. The pokemon were happy to see Cleffa again. "Are these pokemon yours?" Brock asked Mr Backlot. "Yes I love pokemon just like everyone else does" answered Mr Backlot. "Is Eevee yours too?" asked Tomo. "No Eevee is wild," said Monica "I found Eevee hurt and hungry out in the trophy garden one day. We healed it and gave it food till it was all better again. After it was healed it still stays here to help take care of the pokemon". "What a nice Eevee" said Dawn. "Well since everyone is gathered, how about some food?" said Monica. She brought out a tray with bowls full of poffins and the baby pokemon and Eevee tucked in. Seeing the poffins made Pikachu, Piplup and Growlithe feel hungry too, so the gang let out their pokemon to have poffins too.
Suddenly a Swinub appeared and it rushed straight towards the bowls of Poffins. Eevee charged towards Swinub and tackled it hard. Monica quickly left and came back with a big bowl of Poffins. "Here you are Swinub" she said. Swinub happily charged to the big bowl and ate up all the poffins. "I think that Swinub has the same appetite as a Munchlax" said Ash. The others agreed. Mr Backlot explained Swinub was wild and it loved the trophy garden, the mansion and Monica's poffins. Mr Backlot invited the gang to stay for dinner and for the night. The gang agreed as it was getting late.
After having some dinner Dawn asked Monica is she could borrow the kitchen; she wanted to make poffins for her pokemon. Monica agreed and gave the gang a basket full of berries they could use. "Hey I just remembered," said Ash "Prof Oak told me when I last spoke to him on the phone that he came up with a new recipe for poffin. I wrote it down". He took out a piece of paper from his back pack and made a small plate the poffins the same way as the recipe said. "What are these poffins like?" asked Dawn. Before she could get an answer Swinub came in and started to eat Dawn's poffins. "Bad Swinub, these are for the other pokemon" said Dawn, crossly. "You just ate a big bunch of poffins" said Monica. "Here Swinub" said Ash, presenting his Poffins to Swinub. Swinub ate Ash's Poffins and then it lay on its back showing it was full. "Hey," said Dawn "you only made a small portion of Poffins, so why is Swinub full already?" "Ah that's because the poffin recipe Prof Oak invented is for gluttonous pokemon like Snorlax and such" said Ash. "Oh I remember Prof Oak created a pokeblock for gluttonous pokemon" said Brock. "Yes and since we told him about poffins, he decided to invent poffins for gluttonous pokemon" said Ash. "That's great can I look at the recipe too?" asked Dawn. Ash handed her the recipe. "Okay I will make some more poffins" said Dawn.
The next day everyone was playing in the trophy garden as the weather was clear again. The gang's pokemon liked it in the garden and played with the baby pokemon. Growlithe was with Eevee and they were wrestling with each other. Mr Backlot laughed. "I'm glad to see that Eevee has found someone to battle with," he said "as you know my pokemon are too young for battling so Eevee always fights with sticks or something else". Tomo was interested in Eevee.
Just then Dawn came out with poffins for everyone. All the pokemon munched on the poffins at once. Swinub came over, but Dawn gave Swinub the poffins she made with Prof Oak's recipe. "I must thank Prof Oak for inventing this recipe" said Dawn, still impressed with Prof Oak's cleverness.
Suddenly some attacks of bullet seed, hyper beam and petal dance attacked the garden. "What on earth!?" gasped Mr Backlot. The attacks came from James's Carnivine, Ursaring and Roserade; Team Rocket had come to the garden. "If you three think you are stealing the pokemon here, then you are wrong!" shouted Ash. "We'll show you who's wrong here" said James. Jessie sent out Ambipom, Weavile and Yanmega to battle. "Come on guys lets protect the pokemon!" shouted Ash. Pikachu, Piplup, Growlithe and Croagunk got ready to fight. Eevee also stepped forward to fight. Pikachu used thunderbolt, Piplup used bubblebeam, Growlithe used flamethrower, Croagunk used sludge bomb and Eevee used swift. Together the five pokemon managed to defeat Jessie and James's pokemon. Just then an ice shard attacked Team Rocket; it came from Swinub. Jessie, James and Meowth couldn't take it anymore and left.
Mr Backlot was grateful to the gang for helping him defend his home and pokemon. "Thank you so much" said Monica. Tomo went over to Eevee. "You sure are one tough Eevee" he said. Eevee helped in pride. "May I take you with me?" asked Tomo "I'd like to have a tough Eevee like you on my team". Eevee started at Tomo for a bit and then yelped to say yes. Tomo was happy and caught Eevee in a pokeball. Dawn turned to Swinub and asked it if it would like to come with her. Swinub accepted and Dawn caught it. Mr Backlot and Monica agreed that Tomo and Dawn were perfect for taking care of Eevee and Swinub. "It's been fun here, but it's really time we get going now" said Ash. Monica told Dawn there was a pokemon contest in a place called Celestic Town and Dawn decided right away she would go there for her next ribbon. "Oh before I forget" said Monica. She gave Tomo a lot of different type of berries to hold in his back pack. "These berries will come in handy for Eevee". Tomo was puzzled but accepted the berries.
So with two new pokemon friends the gang left the mansion to continue their journey.
A few days later after visiting Backlot Mansion the gang were just about to have lunch with their pokemon. Ash checked over all the pokemon, when he noticed his Gligar wasn't there. "Hey Gligar where'd you go?" he called out. Gligar flew over to him. "Where'd you go Gligar?" Gligar did an x-scissor on the ground. "Oh I see," said Ash "you were training because you want to get stronger right?" Gligar nodded yes. "Alright then, after we have lunch we'll train Gligar". Gligar hugged Ash in happiness.
After lunch was over Ash and Gligar began their training. "Okay Gligar first show me your moves" said Ash. Gligar demonstrated her poison sting, sand attack, harden, quick attack, steel wing, sand storm, cross poison and metal claw attacks. She also demonstrated moves she had learned over the months; she now knew screech, slash, aerial ace, sludge bomb and hidden power (ground type). "Good Gligar, now let's practice battling". He asked Tomo if Gligar could battle with his Eevee. Tomo agreed.
The two brothers got into positons and Eevee and Gligar got ready to fight. "Gligar start off with poison sting" said Ash. Gligar fired a poison sting attack, but Eevee dodged it. "Eevee use natural gift" said Tomo, and he threw an aspear berry to Eevee. Eevee took a bite out of the berry and then fired a big sphere of power towards Gligar. Gligar got hit by it. "What was that move?" asked Dawn. Brock explained that natural gift was a move that changes types by whatever berry a pokemon bites into. "An aspear berry can change the move to an ice type," said Brock "this is why Tomo was given different berries from Monica. Eevee knew natural gift back then". "Oh" said Dawn. Ash ordered Gligar to use screech and Gligar's screeching put Eevee off. "Now cross poison" said Ash. Gligar stuck Eevee good with cross poison. "Okay that's enough" said Ash. The battle stopped.
"Well Gligar you're doing well with battles;" said Ash "Prof Oak did tell me that you've been hanging out with the Gligars he's got at the ranch and practice flying and battling with them which is good". Gligar felt happy, but she pounded the ground with metal claw. "What you want to keep on getting stronger?" "If you ask me Ash I don't think Gligar is satisfied with how she is now;" said Brock "I think she wants to be strong like all your other pokemon". Ash had a think. "Well I think the only way to do that is evolve Gligar to Gliscor" said Ash. Gligar cried out in happiness; she did want to evolve. "Hold on a minute though," said Brock "Gligar can only evolve at night time and with a razor fang". "What's a razor fang?" asked Tomo. "I can answer that question" said a voice.
The voice came from Gary. "Gary what a surprise to see you here," said Ash "what are you doing here?" "Oh I'm on the way to Lake Valor;" said Gary "Prof Rowan told me about you seeing a mysterious spirit there Ash". "He was right;" said Ash "truth is I believe it was the legendary pokemon Azelf". "Yes I've read those three legendary pokemon supposed to be living in Lake Acuity, Lake Valor and Lake Verity. That's why I'm going to visit Lake Valor". "Do make sure you are careful Gary, especially since J may want to get them and sell them on the black market" said Ash. "Don't you worry Ash, I have some of my strongest pokemon with me," said Gary "so if she does go there I'll be sure to stop her".
Gary took out a big cream coloured fang from his back pack. "This is a razor fang" he said, and he gave it to Ash. "Are you sure I can have this?" asked Gary. "Sure I have lots of these" said Gary. Gligar was excited and wanted the razor fang. "Hold it Gligar, it's not night time yet;" said Ash "this razor fang will only make you evolve at night time. It's still the afternoon". Gligar felt very disappointed. Gary chuckled. "You know this reminds me of a time back when we were young kids Ash," said Gary "when we met this Pidgey that was eager to evolve". "Oh yes I do remember that;" said Ash "it kept on exhausting itself just to evolve quickly. Then after Prof Oak finally got it to rest it did evolve". "Bingo" said Gary. Ash stared at the sulking Gligar. "I know what we can do while we wait for night-time to appear" said Ash. "Really what?" asked Dawn. Ash whispered to the others while Gligar wasn't listening. "If we have Gligar take part in some activities, night-time will come before she even knows it" he said. "Good idea," said Gary "what activities do you have in mind?" "Well," said Ash "I'll have Gligar race around with Staravia to get her into good flying shape. Then I'll have her learn aqua tail and iron tail". Wow, Gligar can learn aqua tail?" said Dawn. "It can, and it will be very handy for Gligar to learn" said Brock.
So Ash got to work on keeping Gligar preoccupied while they waited for night-time. First he had Pikachu train her to learn iron tail; he had her lift stones on her tail to get it into shape, like what he did when he learnt iron tail. Then he had Staravia race around the sky with her to help her fly faster than usual. Last of all Ash had Floatzel train Gligar to learn aqua tail; Floatzel had Gligar keep on spinning her tail around. It took all the rest of afternoon for Gligar to learn the two moves. Eventually she managed to get her tail to glow and water to come out of her tail a bit, but she wasn't close on perfecting the moves yet. "Oh man," sighed Dawn "Gligar is having it hard learn iron tail and aqua tail". "Maybe she'll have better results once she evolves" said Brock.
It was at that time that it was getting dark. "Come on guys we should stop now and set up our tents for the night" said Gary. The others agreed, including Ash. Brock started to build a fire and cook dinner while Dawn, Gary and Ash put up the tents. "Hey Ash," said Gary "any new reports on Team Galactic lately?" He had learnt about Team Galactic from Prof Rowan. "Not yet, since we last saw them at Veilstone City" said Ash. "Do be careful Ash, there is no telling what they'll do" said Gary. Ash understood.
It wasn't long till everyone was eating dinner. Gligar was exhausted from training and racing, so she was happy for a rest and some food. "Hey Gligar it's night-time now," said Ash "want to evolve now?" Gligar nodded yes in excitement. So Ash handed the razor fang to Gligar and as soon Gligar touched it she glowed and evolved to Gliscor. "Wow" said Dawn.
She took out her pokedex: Gliscor, the fang scorpion pokemon. It dances silently through the sky. When it approaches prey, it can land a critical hit in an instant.
After evolving Gliscor had learnt thunder, ice and fire fang, poison jab and night slash. And she perfected aqua tail and iron tail. "Well Gliscor I take you're happy that you've evolved" said Ash. Gliscor was happy and hugged Ash. "Somethings never changed" chuckled Dawn.
Next day the gang were getting ready to continue their journey. "Well it was nice seeing you again Gary" said Ash. "You too Ash," said Gary "and good luck with the gym at Hearthome City". Gary and the gang said their goodbyes to each other and the gang left.
Today the gang were back in Hearthome City, hoping that Ash and Tomo could battle the gym leader. But when they got to the gym they saw it was still closed. "Oh come on!" whined Ash "we haven't been here for a while and the gym is still closed". "Do excuse me Brock," said Tomo "but didn't you say that gym leaders weren't allowed to leave their gyms for too long?" "There're not really," said Brock "I guess the gym leader must have gotten special permission from the PIA system to leave the gym this long".
Just then a limo came up and a lady with a Lopunny came out of the limo. "Hello there," said the lady "are you trainers looking for the gym leader?" "We are Ma'am" said Ash. "I am sorry but the gym leader Fantina is still not back. She's out training to find another way to battle". Ash and Tomo were still disappointed. "I can't believe she is standing in front of us" said Dawn. "You know that woman Dawn?" asked Tomo. "What you don't know?" said Dawn. "Dawn, Tomo and I don't live here in Sinnoh" Ash reminded her. Dawn sheepishly apologized and told them that the woman was Paris and she was a poke stylist. "A poke stylist is somebody who sketches and designs clothing and accessories for Pokémon". She had a magazine about Paris and showed it to the boys.
Suddenly Dawn's Buneary who had been out of the pokeball bounced over to Lopunny to say hello. Lopunny said hello back to Buneary. "Oh très bien, what an adorable Buneary" said Paris. "Thank you Buneary is mine, and my name is Dawn" said Dawn. "Are you by any chance a coordinator Dawn?" asked Paris. "Yes and I'm aiming for the top" answered Dawn. "Well Dawn the Hearthome Collection is tomorrow so you and Buneary should sign up" said Paris. She explained the Hearthome Collection was a fashion show where people got to model themselves and their pokemon in their own designs. Dawn and Buneary loved the idea of competing in that since the two loved to dress up in fashion. Paris also explained that the winner of the Hearthome Collection would be given the chance to work on the Poke Chic campaign photo shoot. Dawn definitely decided to enter the Hearthome Collection after hearing that. Paris also insisted that Ash entered with Pikachu as she also thought Pikachu was adorable. Ash wasn't keen on that as he wasn't into fashion that much, but since there was nothing else to do he couldn't refuse.
Ash and Dawn signed up for the Hearthome Collection right away at the pokemon center. Suddenly there was a commotion. A beautiful blond haired lady walked into the pokemon center. Her name was Lady Cocoa and she was a famous Poke stylist in Hearthome City who had famous designers working for her. Unfortunately she had a very snobbish, rude and spiteful attitude. When Buneary tried to touch Cocoa's dress she rudely told Buneary to keep its filthy paws off her. The gang didn't like her, especially Dawn. "That Lady Cocoa's fashion is just plain Goddy, though she does have a lot of poke stylist's secrets up her sleeves" said a voice. The voice was from a lady wearing brown glasses. "Excuse me, but what is one of Cocoa's secrets?" asked Dawn. "That is something for you to find out," said the woman "you are a coordinator right? Poke stylists and coordinators are the same".
That night Dawn and Ash were getting ready for tomorrow. Ash had come up for an idea with a design for himself and Pikachu. Brock was fixing up the costumes as Ash didn't know how to sew. Dawn had no idea what to do; she had drawn some good designs, but they didn't feel right to her. But then she remembered what the woman said and what Zoey told her about pokemon being stars of the show. "That's it" she said, and got back to work drawing.
The next day it was time for the Hearthome Collection. The Mayor of Hearthome City was the announcer of the collection. The two judges were Paris and Hermione. Hermione was the woman from yesterday and she was a famous poke stylist and the editor-in-chief of the Poke Chic fashion magazine. The contestants came one by one. First there was a lady dressed like her Bellosom and they both had matching purple flower hats and dangly jewels. Next were a man and his Magikarp wearing matching jewels. Next came a lady wearing a green dress and both her and her Chikorita wore matching jewels. Then came a man and his Toxicroak wearing spikes on their shoulders and round their wrists. Then a woman wearing a green dress and both her and Roselia wore matching flowers. Then came a woman and her Arcanine wearing matching jewellery. Hermione, being a critical woman, thought this was boring because none of the designs were standing out. Next came Ash and Pikachu. Ash was wearing a lighting striped kilt that reached his knees, with a matching shawl round his neck, bracelets around the bottom of his legs and round his writs, a white shawl and had a blue wig on with horns coming out. Pikachu wore exactly the same thing, but he wore a red wig instead of a blue one and he wore a drum on his back. They were like Fūjin and Raijin the gods of wind and thunder. "Okay Pikachu you are the god of thunder" said Ash. Pikachu jumped onto the stage and used his tail to bang on the drum on his back. Then he let out some electricity. Hermione wasn't keen on the outfits but was glad Ash was able to show off Pikachu. Next came on Lady Cocoa with her pokemon Mismagius. Lady Cocoa was wearing a pink-red dress with white collars and gloves, and her Mismagius was wearing a red dress with lots of long white ribbons. When Mismagius got onto the stage the ribbons unveiled while it floated into the air. Then Mismagius used psywave to create rainbows on the ribbons. The audience loved it, but Hermione wasn't convinced. Last of all came Dawn, Dawn was wearing a light blue dress with matching shoes, a yellow bow, and a blue necklace with her hair down. Buneary was wearing the same thing but without the shoes. "Buneary you are a snow spirit on a white mountain of snow" said Dawn. Buneary jumped onto the stage and created some glaciers with her ice beam attack. Then Buneary began jumping around like a playful spirit. Not only did Paris and the audience like it, Hermione liked it too.
After the contestants presented their designs it was time for the judging. The mayor explained only three contestants will be in the finals and amongst those three will be chosen who wins what. There was a prize for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. The three finalists turned out to be Ash, Lady Cocoa and Dawn. Ash came in 3rd place earning the unique award for originality. Paris revealed who the winner and she claimed Dawn and Buneary as the winners. Lady Cocoa was not happy and asked why she didn't win. Hermione explained to her that only her dress and accessories stood out, not her and Mismagius. As Cocoa came in second place she was given the accessories award for best accessories.
Both Paris and Hermione were happy with how Dawn showed off her Buneary and plain style. Dawn and Buneary were given beautiful silver tiaras as their prizes. "I hope I will be working with you on my next Poke Chic fashion magazine" said Hermione. "Thanks Hermione," said Dawn "but my goal is to become top coordinator. And I still have a lot of work to do with my pokemon". Dawn didn't want to switch her goals just yet. Hermione understand and hoped Dawn will always shine with her pokemon.
So the Hearthome Collection came to an end and Dawn was happy with her victory. It certainly taught her some new experiences, for a coordinator.
I'm so sorry for the wait; I wanted to finish off my story the witch queen for wattpad first. I know I haven't ad Team Rocket appear lately, but I don't want to do the anime thing where they pop up all the time. I don't know about you but I don't think Ash stood up to Dawn much in the anime; I mean Dawn keeps on asking Ash why he doesn't know things that only appear in Sinnoh, and Ash didn't remind her once that he was from Kanto, not Sinnoh. I thought Backlot Mansion was perfect for Tomo to catch Eevee. Swinub will become disobedient when he evolves, but don't worry because I have plans for that especially with help from Ash and his Snorlax. I'm surprised that the anime didn't have Prof Oak come up with a poffin for glutton pokemon like he did for the pokeblock, so I decided to make that up myself. I don't know how natural gift would have happened in the anime, but knowing cartoons the pokemon would have probably bitten a berry off first before they used the move like how Sportacus does with apples in LazyTown. For Ash's and Pikachus costumes in the arriving in style they should have given them bracelets and shawls like hoe the real thunder and wind gods wear.
I have a poll on my profile; I'm wondering if when I do Ash's Alola journey should I make Lillie a fairy type trainer. I know she seems to like all pokemon, but I believe fairy types suit her especially the friendship Lillie had with her mother's Clefable. Please vote on my poll.
