Ash's Pokemon Journey
Summary: This story is about how I think that ash's journey should have gone through, Kanto, Orange Islands, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova. Smart, a psychic and an Aura user. I do not own pokemon.
Note: I am not doing the Kalos Region. So fairy pokemon and Mega Evolutions don't exist.

Meeting Barry,
Tomo's Gym Battle 5
And Ash's Gym Battle
Today the gang finally made it back to Hearthome City. "I hope we will battle Fantina this time," said Tomo "I'm tired of waiting". "Me too Tomo, Fantina did make us wait a long time" said Ash. "Well you two can't blame her for that," said Dawn "remember she was training with her pokemon". "Yes but still" said Ash. Ash was patient, but even he found it hard to wait for a gym battle; he even found it hard back when he had to wait to battle Jasmine.
When the gang finally got to the gym, Ash and Tomo ran to the door. But then the gym door opened and somebody crashed into Ash. "Ouch what was that?" said Ash. "Ow my head" said a voice. The voice belonged to a boy with yellow hair. "Are you okay Ash?" asked Dawn. "Hey what about me!" shouted the boy "don't mind asking me if I'm okay!" "Oh dear sorry, are you okay too?" Dawn said to the boy. But then when Dawn looked at the boy, he looked familiar to her. "For crashing into me like that I should fine you" complained the boy. "Hey that was an accident," Ash argued back "we don't need to pay for something like this". "Under my watch you do!" argued the boy "ah I have no time for this. I'm going to be the greatest pokemon trainer ever!" Then he ran off. "What the heck was that about?" said Ash. Just then Tomo noticed something on the ground. It was an orange badge case. "Hey do you think this badge case belongs to that kid?" asked Tomo, picking it up off the ground.
Before Tomo's question could be answered, Fantina came out of the gym. "Why bonjour Ash, Tomo, Dawn and Brock" she said. "Hi Fantina" said Dawn. Suddenly Fantina noticed the orange badge case Tomo was holding. "Oh that belongs to my challenger" she said. "Challenger?" said Ash "oh you mean the boy who just came out of the gym?" "Correct" said Fantina. Fantina explained the boy was from Twinleaf Town and he had just challenged her to a gym battle, but he lost. "Speaking of gym battles," said Ash "may Tomo and I challenge you to a gym battle?" "Oh sorry Ash," said Fantina "but I had a few challengers battling me today and my pokemon need to rest today. Please wait till tomorrow and then we can battle". Ash understood; he was disappointed but he knew that Fantina's pokemon needed to rest after doing gym battles today.
"What should we do now?" asked Tomo. "Well first of all we'll take this badge case back to that kid we saw earlier, then we get ready for our gym battle tomorrow" answered Ash. Suddenly there was a shout and somebody ran into Ash; it was the boy from before again. "Ow not again," complained the boy "oh it's you again". Ash wasn't happy either. Just then the boy noticed his badge case on the ground; Ash dropped it when the boy ran into him. "You're not just a klutz, you are also a thief stealing my badges" said the boy. "Hey you have it all wrong" said Brock. "Hey I remember you now," interrupted the boy, pointing at Ash, "I saw you on TV when the Hearthome tag battle was on and you teamed up with Paul. Man you were terrible compared to Paul; I was laughing through the whole thing". "Oh yeah!" shouted Ash, angrily. Just then Dawn interrupted them. "I remember you, you're Barry right?" she asked the boy. "You know him Dawn?" asked Ash. "Yes I remember him because I'm from Twinleaf Town too. I remember that you did a duet with Exploud at the festival last year that was you right Barry?" "Yeah that was me, but I don't remember you," said Barry "oh wait now I do. You're the geeky trainer who Paul defeated in the tournament". "Geeky?" said Dawn, angrily and not liking Barry's tournament. Brock and Tomo told Barry they were in the tournament too, but Barry couldn't remember them. So Brock and Tomo just introduced themselves, not happy with Barry's attitude at all. "Hey let's have a battle," Barry said to Ash "you have ten seconds to call out your pokemon". He had an orange poketch. "Wow that's a latest model of the poketch" said Dawn, grabbing Barry's wrist to get a better look at it. "Hey you girly geek!" shouted Barry, rudely, "you're interrupting my timing". "My name is Dawn" said Dawn, angrily. Barry ignored her and told Ash to hurry up and release his pokemon.
Ash had enough of Barry's attitude and sent out Chimchar to battle first. "Hey I recognize that Chimchar," said Barry "it was Paul's pokemon. Did you trade with Paul or something?" "Nope Paul abandoned Chimchar so I took over" answered Ash. Barry didn't believe it; truth is he thought Paul was a great trainer and didn't know what Paul was like. "I take it you want to be strong like Paul?" asked Barry. "I beg your pardon?" asked Ash. Being like Paul was something Ash would never, ever like to be. Barry explained he wanted to be strong too which was why he worked and battled hard with his pokemon training. He also said he had three gym badges. "Really? I have four badges" said Ash. Barry was shocked by that, but quickly shrugged it off. He went to rah for a pokeball, but he suddenly stopped. "Ah I forgot I left my pokeballs in storage," said Barry "I'll quickly go back and get them. Don't go anywhere!" He quickly ran off and the gang decided to follow Barry.
In the city Team Rocket was doing a sneaky stunt again. This time they put up a fake storage system for pokemon. The trick was the pokemon trainers would give their pokeballs to Jessie, James and Meowth to look after them for a bit, like a real pokeball storage system. "Nice idea this was," said Meowth "we're getting plenty of pokeballs filled with pokemon here". "The boss will be so happy with this" said James. "We better start packing up and leave at once before anybody gets superstitious of us" said Jessie.
At that moment Barry and the gang arrived and Barry asked the trio for his pokeballs back. Team Rocket couldn't believe Barry had turned up now. "Uh sure," said Meowth, quickly, "we'll get your pokeballs at once". He, Jessie and James quickly went around the back. "Something is not right about this" said Ash. Before he said anything else, Fantina showed up. She was pokemon food shopping for her pokemon. "What is this?" asked Fantina, looking at the shop. "This is a storage service for pokeballs" answered Barry. "That is very strange," said Fantina "there has never been a place like that here before". This was confusing and Barry really wanted his pokeballs back now.
Suddenly the fake storage shop broke apart and Team Rocket revealed themselves in their balloon. "I knew something wasn't right here" said Ash. "Who are these people?" asked Fantina. "A group of nasty people who steal pokemon from others" answered Dawn. Team Rocket started to fly their balloon, while Barry demanded to have his pokemon back. Ash released Gliscor to burst Team Rocket's balloon, but Jessie and James released Seviper and Carnivine to stop Gliscor. Fantina stepped in and told her Mismagius to use psybeam on Seviper and Carnivine. The two pokemon got hit from the attack and became confused. Ash used this chance to order Gliscor to burst the balloon with her claws and Gliscor did. The balloon fell down to the ground and a bag filled with all the trainers pokeballs fell onto the ground. Barry quickly opened up the bag and got his pokeballs back. Team Rocket was angry and ordered their pokemon to attack again. Pikachu, Growlithe and Piplup ran forward to attack Seviper and Carnivine, but Carnivine stopped the tree pokemon in their tracks with bullet seed. And then Seviper charged in to use bite. But then Barry released an Empoleon from a pokeball. "Empoleon use hydro cannon" said Barry. Empoleon's hydro cannon pushed Seviper back. "Wow Barry, your Empoleon appears to be very strong" said Dawn. "Of course, I trained it after all" boasted Barry. Jessie and James ordered Seviper and Carnivine to attack again. But the combination attacks of bubble beam, thunderbolt and flamethrower from Piplup, Pikachu and Growlithe stopped them in their tracks. Then Barry finished it off by telling Empoleon to use hyper beam, which sent Team Rocket blasting off again.
After Team Rocket got blasted off Fantina offered to give the trainers back their pokeballs. "I have to say Ash you and your pokemon have gotten a lot stronger," said Fantina "I look forward to battling you again". "Me too and this time I won't be beaten" said Ash.
A moment after talking with Fantina, Barry had a walk round with the gang. "So Ash you are going to battle Fantina?" asked Barry. "Yes and I take it you are going to have a rematch with her right Barry?" said Ash. "Yes I am," said Barry "and if Empoleon is no good I will get an even stronger pokemon and if that one is no good I'll get an even better one". "Hold it right there you," interrupted Ash "just because you have a lot of strong pokemon doesn't mean you will always win every battle that comes your way. I have been a pokemon trainer for almost five years now, and I have come across loads of pokemon trainers who are stronger than me and my pokemon, but that doesn't stop me and my pokemon becoming more stronger together. Bonding with my pokemon is what made me a better pokemon trainer than how I was when I first started becoming a pokemon trainer". "Bonding?" said Barry, who didn't exactly understand that yet. "No matter how weak a pokemon is when you first get it; you can still turn it into a very strong pokemon," said Ash "I know that because all my pokemon started off weak when I first got them. Even my Pikachu was no strong pokemon yet when I first got him. If you work hard with your pokemon thick or thin you can accomplish anything". "But I want to get stronger now" said Barry. Unfortunately Barry didn't seem to have the patience to wait to become stronger through time. "I want to become strong like Paul," said Barry "he is the coolest trainer ever". Ash couldn't believe his ears; he couldn't believe that Barry liked Paul and thought his as a great trainer. He certainly didn't. Dawn explained to Barry that Ash had battled Paul before and about how Paul quickly forfeited them. "Ha Paul must have seem you unworthy to finish a battle with" laughed Barry. Ash grew crosser and crosser with Barry. "Hey it's battle time, so let's go already" said Barry. "As you wish!" shouted Ash "and I will show you what me and my pokemon have accomplished during our time together".
Barry and the gang went to the pokemon center for Barry and Ash to have their battle. Brock acted as the referee. Ash sent out Chimchar to battle first while Barry sent out a Staraptor. Barry started first by telling Staraptor to use tackle, but Chimchar dodged the attack. Then Ash moved in by telling Chimchar to use flamethrower, but Staraptor dodged it. "Great," said Barry "now Staraptor close combat". Staraptor started to try and hit, kick and peck Chimchar with its claws, wings and beak. Chimchar managed to avoid getting hit for a bit, but he got kicked in the end. "Staraptor wing attack" said Barry. Staraptor charged towards Chimchar to use wing attack, but Chimchar used dig to dodge. "Now Chimchar use flamethrower" said Ash. Chimchar came out of the ground and blew flamethrower at Staraptor. This time the flamethrower hit Staraptor and Staraptor fainted, giving Ash the first win.
Barry returned Staraptor and sent out a Roserade next. He started right away by telling Roserade to use poison jab. Poor Chimchar kept on getting punched by Roserade and he couldn't escape from it. Finally Roserade gave Chimchar a mighty punch with poison jab and Chimchar fainted, giving Barry the win this time.
Ash returned Chimchar and sent out Gliscor next. "Gliscor x-scissor" said Ash. "Roserade poison jab" said Barry. Gliscor and Roserade began hitting each other with x-scissor and poison jab like a boxing match. In the end the two pokemon punched each other hard and knocked each other out, making this match a tie.
Ash returned Gliscor and sent out Pikachu. Barry returned Roserade and sent out Empoleon. Dawn was surprised Barry was using a water pokemon against Pikachu, but Barry insisted of using Empoleon to show how strong it was. Pikachu started off by using thunderbolt, but Empoleon used hydro cannon to counter attack. "Move in with steel wing Empoleon" said Barry. "Use iron tail Pikachu" said Ash. Pikachu and Empoleon began attacking each other iron tail and steel wing like a sword fight. Finally Empoleon managed to hit Pikachu away, but of course Pikachu wasn't defeated yet. But then Empoleon used hyper beam and poor Pikachu got hit from it before he had a chance to dodge it. "Don't give up yet Pikachu!" called out Ash. Pikachu wasn't defeated yet and he was certainly not going to give up. As Empoleon couldn't use a move yet because it used hyper beam, Pikachu had the chance to attack Empoleon with thunderbolt. "Time to use volt tackle Pikachu" said Ash. Pikachu charged at Empoleon with volt tackle full blast and poor Empoleon fainted. So Ash was the winner of the battle.
Ash was happy for his win. Barry of course wasn't. "What are you so happy about?" he asked "you were just lucky that's all. I'm still a much stronger trainer than you". Barry didn't want to admit that Ash was a strong pokemon trainer. "Alright then how about this," said Ash, having enough of Barry's attitude, "why don't you come to watch me battle Fantina in the gym tomorrow. Maybe then you will see what I am capable of once you see me defeat the gym leader you just lost to". "And I will show you what me and my pokemon are capable of too" said Tomo. Barry agreed to watch Ash and Tomo battle Fantina tomorrow, but he didn't believe Ash and Tomo could beat her.
So Ash and Tomo had another rival in Sinnoh to deal with.
After so much waiting, the time for Ash and Tomo to battle Fantina had finally come today. This time it was Tomo's turn to battle the gym leader first. So Ash, Dawn, Brock and Barry sat in the side seats while Tomo stood on the battle ground with Growlithe. The referee introduced Fantina and explained the rules. "I look forward to see how you will battle me Tomo" said Fantina. As she knew Tomo was Ash's brother, she hoped he would be a good battler like Ash. "I have waited for this Fantina" said Tomo. Ash was talking to Barry. "You watch this Barry, Tomo and I will show you two gym battles you will never forget". "Sure you will, but the result will be both of you losing" said Barry. He still didn't believe that Ash and Tomo could beat Fantina. "We'll see about that" said Ash.
Fantina sent out her first pokemon, a Gengar. Tomo sent out his Poochyena to battle first. "Hmph Poochyena maybe a dark type but it will still find it hard to beat Gengar" said Barry. "Don't count Poochyena out Barry," said Ash "Tomo and I have been training for this". Tomo told Poochyena to start off with bite, but Gengar dodged it. Gengar flew round and round to confuse Poochyena. "Poochyena use shadow ball" said Tomo. Drifloon released a shadow ball attack, but again Gengar dodged it. "The way how Fantina's pokemon float around makes it impossible for another pokemon to land an attack," said Barry "I went through that when I battled her". "Use shadow punch Gengar" said Fantina. Poochyena got punched by the shadow punch, but of course it didn't do that much damage to Poochyena. "Alright, no more Mr nice guy," said Tomo "Poochyena spin and use dark pulse". Poochyena spun round on his back, while releasing a dark pulse attack. It created a tornado of dark purple and black whips. Not only did Gengar get hit by the whips, it also got tossed around. Everyone, except Ash, was surprised by this. "It works perfectly" smiled Ash. Fantina told her Gengar to try and not let its body touch the dark pulse, but it was no use Gengar couldn't escape at all. Gengar kept on getting hit by the tornado until Poochyena finally stopped spinning. "Ha it's like Ash always says; 'a good defense is a strong offense'" said Tomo. Fantina was impressed by this technique. "I think we should call that technique the counter shield" she said. Ash and Tomo liked that name so counter shield it was. Gengar attacked again with night shade while Poochyena attacked with dark pulse again. Gengar and Poochyena got hit by each other's attacks, but in the end poor Gengar fainted from defeat while Poochyena still stood up. Tomo won the first battle.
"Wow Ash the idea you came up with before worked" said Dawn. "Tomo and I practiced this a lot" replied Ash. Barry was starting to feel a bit jealous because Tomo's Poochyena defeated Fantina's Gengar because his pokemon didn't defeat any of her pokemon. Fantina returned Gengar; she was impressed with how Tomo was battling.
Fantina sent out her Mismagius next. Tomo remembered Mismagius, especially when it used psychic type moves and magical leaf against Zoey's Glameow. He sent out Houndour to battle next. "Charge with fire fang Houndour" said Tomo. Houndour ran as fast as he could towards Mismagius to bite it with fire fang, but Mismagius dodged Houndour. But Houndour jumped and blew flamethrower at Mismagius. "Good job Houndour" said Tomo, giving a thumbs up. Fantina was surprised by what just happened. "Wow that Houndour is something" said Barry. "Tomo's Houndour was part of a pack in the past, and it never forgot its wild side" said Brock. "Okay Houndour time to use your new trick" said Tomo. Houndour jumped high and spun around using flamethrower; he was using a firey counter shield. Mismagius used psywave, but it still got hit by the counter shield. Fantina told her Mismagius to use magical leaf next and this time the attack broke the counter shield apart. That was a surprise to everyone; as magical leaf was a grass type move it should have been weaker against the firey counter shield. But Fantina's pokemon were strong and of course Fantina knew about the counter shield. It was then Tomo had an idea. Fantina ordered Mismagius to use dark pulse and Tomo ordered Houndour to counter it with his own dark pulse attack. As soon at the two dark pulse attacks collided with each other, Tomo quickly ordered Houndour to use feint attack. Houndour ran towards Mismagius and disappeared, and then while Mismagius searched for it Houndour charged into Mismagius. Mismagius fainted to the floor from that attack giving Tomo the second win.
"That's Tomo's second win" said Dawn. "Now Tomo only needs to defeat one more pokemon to earn the badge" said Brock. Barry felt really jealous now. Tomo returned Houndour while Fantina returned her Mismagius. "You did well against my Gengar and my Houndour Tomo," said Fantina "but let's see how you will do against my Drifblim". She released her Drifblim. "Oh-oh here's the difficult part" said Dawn, remembering how strong Fantina's Drifblim was. Tomo released his Dusknoir. "Wow a Dusknoir," said Barry "this is going to be interesting; a ghost type pokemon facing another ghost type pokemon".
"Dusknoir use the combination of will o wisp and psychic" said Tomo. Dusknoir released a will o wisp attack and used psychic to spin the flames around himself, creating two big rings of flames. "Oh ho an interesting technique there Tomo" said Fantina. "Dusknoir and I did a lot of experimenting," smiled Tomo "right Dusknoir?" Dusknoir nodded yes. "Well then let's make this more interesting," said Fantina "Drifblim let's do the same thing". Drifblim used the same will o wisp and psychic technique as Dusknoir. Then the two ghost pokemon threw the will o wisp rings at each other, which collided with each other. "Wow that was impressive" said Barry. "Dusknoir use night shade" said Tomo. Dusknoir released a night shade attack but Drifblim used ominous wind to counter it. "Man Dusknoir is going to get defeated at this rate" said Barry. "Alright let's try this then, Dusknoir use shadow punch" said Tomo. Dusknoir managed to strike Drifblim with shadow punch. "That's a good thing about shadow punch; it never misses" said Ash. "I take it you've faced the move shadow punch before Ash?" asked Dawn. "I have" answered Ash. "Impressive that move was," said Fantina "but we won't stop our counter shield". Drifblim used the will o wisp and psychic combination again. "Dusknoir use fire punch" said Tomo. Dusknoir charged at Drifblim's will o wisp shield with fire punch. While it did that Dusknoir's fire punch attack absorbed the power of the will o wisp, making Dusknoir's fire punch even more powerful. Then Dusknoir punched Drifblim with fire punch. "That did it" said Tomo. Fantina was surprised with what just happened, but enjoyed this all the same. "Your Dusknoir is indeed magnifique," she said "but this is not over. Drifblim ominous wind". "Dusknoir use protect and then thunder punch" said Tomo. Dusknoir used protect to protect itself from the ominous wind and then moved in to punch Drifblim with thunder punch. "Yeah that nailed it" said Ash. Barry was getting surprised with this. Fantina ordered her Drifblim to use hypnosis, but Dusknoir quickly moved in with shadow punch. Drifblim got hit badly by that. Then Dusknoir quickly moved in again by punching Drifblim with thunder punch. Drifblim couldn't take any more after that and fainted, making Tomo the winner of the gym battle.
Tomo cheered for his victory with Dusknoir and Growlithe and Ash, Dawn and Brock were happy for Tomo. Barry couldn't believe it at first, but he did in the end. Fantina returned Drifblim and presented the Relic Badge to Tomo. The Relic badge was a shape of three purple circles combined together to a grey circle in the middle. "Well Ash I will battle you next," said Fantina "but my pokemon need a rest at the pokemon center first". "Take your time Fantina," said Ash "I'll be ready to battle you next". So Tomo finally had his gym battle against Fantina, but Ash's was soon to come.
After Fantina's pokemon was fully healed it was now Ash's turn to battle her. "I can't wait to see how this turns out" said Dawn. "Ah it will be Ash losing" said Barry. Even though Tomo defeated Fantina, Barry didn't believe Ash could beat her too. "Ash will win, you'll see" said Tomo. Fantina sent out Gengar first while Ash sent out Mismagius. "A Mismagius?" said Barry. "Yep Ash has a Mismagius like Fantina does" said Tomo. Fantina found this interesting and couldn't wait to see how Ash's Mismagius battled.
Ash started off by telling Mismagius to use psybeam, but Gengar started floating away to avoid the attack. "This is the trouble with ghost pokemon," said Brock "the way they can fly around like that makes it hard to attack them. Ash has been through this kind of trouble with ghost pokemon before. But he knows what to do". Brock was right because Ash ordered Mismagius to use aerial ace; the speed of the aerial ace helped Mismagius be able to attack Gengar. Fantina was impressed. "Your Mismagius is something," she said "okay Gengar use hypnosis". "I knew this was coming," said Ash "Mismagius spin and use charge beam". Mismagius spun around while firing charge beam. Gengar's hypnosis got broken and Gengar got hit by the electrical counter shield. "It's nice having another opponent use the counter shield technique" admitted Fantina. "I'm not through yet, Mismagius use psybeam" said Ash. "Night shade Gengar" said Fantina. Gengar got hit by the psybeam attack, while Mismagius got hit by the night shade attack. Poor Gengar couldn't take any more after that attack and fainted, giving Ash the first win.
"No way, Ash really defeated that Gengar?" said Barry, in disbelief. "It's as I said to you yesterday Barry, my brother knows how to defeat ghost pokemon as he's battled them lots of times before" said Tomo. "You are quite the challenger Ash" said Fantina, who was impressed by Ash's battling style. She returned Gengar "This is only the beginning Fantina" said Ash. He returned Mismagius and sent out Togekiss to battle. "Togekiss is up" said Dawn. Dawn liked Togekiss because of how cute she was. "Oh lala Ash you have a cute pokemon there" said Fantina. "Togekiss is more than just cute" said Ash.
Ash started the battle off by telling Togekiss to use aerial ace and Mismagius kept getting hit by the aerial ace attack. "Mismagius psywave" said Fantina. Togekiss got pushed back by Mismagius's psywave attack. "Togekiss use silver wind" said Ash. Togekiss blew silver wind from her wings and Mismagius got hit by the wind. "Now Togekiss use shadow ball and steel wing" said Ash. Togekiss fired a shadow ball and then used steel wing to hit the shadow ball. The shadow ball flew towards Mismagius so fast poor Mismagius didn't get the chance to dodge it. "Hey I recognize that move," said Dawn "Ash did that with Glaceon and Leafeon in the Hearthome contest but they used iron tail instead of steel wing. Trust Ash to use a combination move". Barry was impressed by this and so was Fantina. "Mismagius magical leaf" said Fantina. "Air cutter Togekiss" said Ash. The two attacks collided with each other and then Ash quickly ordered Togekiss to use aerial ace. Before Mismagius could do anything Togekiss tackled it hard with aerial ace and Mismagius fainted, giving Ash the second win.
"Togekiss was incredible out there," said Dawn "it really showed me how it can be more than just cute". Truth be told Dawn started to feel like she would have liked to have a Togekiss of her own. Barry was starting to feel more jealous of Ash because of how he now defeated two of Fantina's pokemon. Fantina returned Mismagius and called out Drifblim. "Here we go again" said Dawn. Ash returned Togekiss and sent out Honchkrow. "Ash has a Honchkrow?" said Barry. "Ash has lots of pokemon" smiled Dawn. "Using a Honchkrow is a great strategy," said Brock "not only are ghost pokemon weak against dark type pokemon, psychic moves like hypnosis are useless against dark type pokemon".
Ash started off by telling Honchkrow to use aerial ace and Drifblim got hit by the attack. "Drifblim will o wisp and psychic" said Fantina. Drifblim did the will o wisp and psychic combination. "Dark pulse Honchkrow" said Ash. Honchkrow fired a dark pulse attack and it collided with Drifblim's attack. "Drifblim ominous wind" said Fantina. "Use icy wind Honchkrow" said Ash. The ominous wind and icy wind got all mixed up and Drifblim and Honchkrow both got hit by the two winds. "You're alright Drifblim," said Fantina "use shadow ball". Drifblim fired a shadow ball attack, but Honchkrow dodged it. "Honchkrow use aerial ace and night slash" said Ash. Honchkrow used aerial ace to quickly fly towards Drifblim, then he quickly used night slash to scratch Drifblim. "Bullseye!" shouted Ash. "Jeez the way how Ash and Honchkrow are battling is scary" said Barry. "You haven't seen everything yet" said Tomo. "Okay let's finish this off now," said Ash "Honchkrow use sky attack". Honchkrow started to glow to build up energy to use sky attack. "Hey I know that move," said Barry "that's the strongest flying type move of all". "Yes but Honchkrow needs to store energy first so it can't attack right now" said Brock. "Oh like solarbeam right?" asked Dawn. "Correct" answered Brock. While Honchkrow stored energy, Fantina ordered Drifblim to use the will o wisp and psychic combination again. The will o wisp circles surrounded Honchkrow, but Ash wasn't to let that stop Honchkrow. "Do it now Honchkrow" he said. Honchkrow charged towards Drifblim, not letting the will o wisp rings get him down, and tackled Drifblim hard before Drifblim could try and dodge it. Poor Drifblim couldn't take anymore after that and fainted.
So Ash was the winner of the gym battle. Barry couldn't believe it at first but he came to admit that both Ash and Tomo were very good pokemon trainers. Fantina gave Ash his Relic Badge and of course he was happy with it.
After saying their thankyous and goodbyes to Fantina, Barry and the gang went to the pokemon center. Ash asked Barry what he was going to do next, and Barry explained he was going to train on an island called Iron Island. Iron Island was an island where steel type pokemon lived. Barry also explained he would go for his next badge at a place called Canalave City. Ash decided right away that he and Tomo should get their next badge in Canalave City too. "Well then if you two win there, I will officially make you my rivals" said Barry.
So apart from getting the Relic Badge from Fantina at last, Ash and Tomo now had a new rival in Barry.
I'm really, really sorry I haven't updated in about two months. 1. I had been busy with job searching and my sister keeps on hogging my computer for hours, so I barely had enough time to write.
I hope everyone likes how I had Ash use his Togekiss, Mismagius and Honchkrow. These three pokemon won't be used in the Sinnoh League. Before anyone asks yes Barry will watch Ash battle his dad when Ash battles him in the Battle Tower.
