Ash's Pokemon Journey
Summary: This story is about how I think that ash's journey should have gone through, Kanto, Orange Islands, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova. Smart, a psychic and an Aura user. I do not own pokemon.
Note: I am not doing the Kalos Region. So fairy pokemon and Mega Evolutions don't exist.

The Pokeringer 2,
Dawn and Mamoswine
And The Cheeky Snover
One day the gang were walking through a mountain valley. Ash, Tomo and Dawn were in good moods because they had each caught a brand new pokemon. Ash caught himself a shiny Metagross, Tomo caught himself a Stunky and Dawn caught herself a Chatot. (The captures happened during the time Jessie, James and Meowth left Team Rocket) The gang had heard about a wild shiny Metagross in a mountain area and Ash wanted to catch it. Ash had to get his Houndoom from Prof Oak's lab as Houndoom was the perfect pokemon for battling Metagross. Metagross was very strong but Houndoom and Pikachu managed to defeat it together. As for Tomo's and Dawn's captures they encountered the two pokemon fighting over some berries in a clearing. Of course Dawn and her Piplup stepped in by telling the two pokemon to stop fighting, and then she sorted out the berries into a fair share. During the excitement Chatot kept on copying Dawn's words, which the boys found very amusing. Dawn found Chatot really cute and decided at once to have it for herself. Tomo really liked Stunky and decided to catch it. So Ash, Tomo and Dawn were happy because of their new captures.
Just then the gang noticed a town and Brock explained from the guide book it was called Squallville Town. Suddenly a strong gust of wind picked up and Piplup went flying. But Dawn caught him quickly before he flew away completely. "It says here you have to be careful of the gusts of winds here in Squalville" said Brock. "Hey look at that over there" said Tomo, pointing to the sky. There was a Yanmega and Swablu flying towards some rings that were floating on some baloon in the sky. "Hey it's pokeringer" said Ash, recognizing the sport at once. "You're right" said Brock. The gang went to get a closer look and sure enough there was a man and a boy practicing pokeringer. "So they hold Pokeringer competitions here in Sinnoh too" said Ash. "Excuse me but what's pokeringer?" asked Dawn. The boys explained to Dawn what pokeringer was and Ash explained how he won the pokeringer competition in Crossgate Town in the Hoenn region. "This pokeringer thing sounds like fun" said Dawn.
Down on the ground a man who owned Yanmega was practicing pokeringer with a boy who owned Swablu. Yanmega placed the ring on a hook and won. "You see you need to pay attention and rely on the gusts of wind" the man said to the boy. "I will beat you in the competition" said the boy, and he left. The man petted his Yanmega. "Keep this up Yanmega and we may win the competition" he said. Just then the gang ran up to him. "Hello, what are you kids doing here?" the man said. "Pardon us sir," said Ash "but is a pokeringer competition happening in this town?" "Yes the pokeringer tournament is being held here in Squalville Town today" said the man. "Wow so we got here just in time then" said Brock. "Oh are you kids interested in participating in the pokeringer tournament?" asked the man. "I defiantly am" said Ash. "Me too" said Tomo. "Count me in too" said Dawn. Of course Piplup wanted to be in it, but as he couldn't fly he couldn't be in it. "Sorry Piplup," said Dawn "but this is a job for Chatot". Piplup sulked. "Well I'll be seeing you kids in the competition then," said the man "oh but you'll need to watch out for a trainer named Provo. He has won the pokeringer four times in a row with his Dragonite". "That's not going to stop me from winning" said Ash. "Same here" said Tomo.
Later on it was almost time for the pokeringer to start. Ash, Tomo and Dawn signed up to enter at once. "I can't believe how huge this competition is" said Dawn. "Well if you win this you become an honorary citizen of the hosting town" said Brock. "Not only that but the winner and the pokemon it entered with have their picture placed on a board with previous pokeringer winners where they stay forever," said Ash "you also receive a certificate too my Crossgate Pokeringer certificate is hanged up in my room". "What a lovely prize" said Dawn. She hoped she could win and get her picture up on the board and get the certificate to hang up in her room. Apparently there was another prize for Squalville's winner; a big supply of pokemon food.
It was soon time for the pokeringer to start. Rhonda was presenting the tournament. Ash, Dawn and Tomo waited in the waiting room for their turn, with Pikachu on Ash's shoulder, and Brock sat in the audience seats with Piplup and Growlithe. Piplup was still sulking a bit because he couldn't be in the competition. The first two contestants was Ash and a trainer named Taylor. Ash and Taylor took their places in two hot air balloons and the ring was soon released on a small balloon. Ash sent out his Staravia while Taylor sent out a Skarmory. Staravia got the ring first, but Taylor ordered Skarmory to use swift and Staravia got hit by the stars. Staravia dropped the ring and Skarmory caught it. "Head for the goal" said Taylor. Ash wasn't going to let Taylor win so easily and told Staravia to get the ring back. Taylor ordered Skarmory to fight Staravia with fury attack, but Staravia dodged the attack thanks to his speed. In the confusion Skarmory dropped the ring and Staravia caught it. "Now go for the goal Staravia!" commanded Ash. Taylor wasn't giving up and he ordered Skarmory to get in front and use sand attack. Poor Staravia was prevented from getting near the goal thanks to the sand and he was put off from doing anything because of the sand too. "Now let's use air cutter" said Taylor. That was bad because if air cutter hit Staravia it would be game over for Ash and Staravia. But then a gust of wind picked up and carried Staravia away before the air cutter attack could hit him. "Phew that was close" sighed Ash. Pikachu agreed. By now Staravia perked up again and Ash ordered him to go to the goal post. Taylor ordered Skarmory to use air cutter again but Ash told Staravia to use aerial ace. Thanks to aerial ace Staravia dodged the air cutter attack and placed the ring on the goal hook, giving Ash the win. "Good work Staravia!" cheered Ash. Staravia cooed with happiness.
The next two contestants was the four-time winner Provo and Paul. Paul was in the pokeringer competition too to the gang's surprise. Ash saw Paul coming towards the hot air baloon he was in. "Didn't expect to see you here Paul" said Ash. "So what?" replied Paul. Ash didn't say anything and he and Pikachu left. "I bet Paul has entered this competition to make his Honchkrow stronger" said Tomo, in the waiting room. "I believe you're right Tomo" said Dawn. The match was on the way and Paul released his Honchkrow while Provo released a Dragonite. Ash, Tomo and Dawn watched the screen carefully in the waiting room. As Honchkrow made its way to the ring Provo ordered his Dragonite to use dragon pulse, but Honchkrow dodged the attack and grabbed the ring. Provo wasn't giving up and told his Dragonite to use fire punch. "Dodge it!" commanded Paul. Honchkrow dodged the attack, but Provo ordered Dragonite to use dragon rush and poor Honchkrow got hit by it. Honchkrow dropped the ring and both Provo and Paul ordered their pokemon to go after it. Honchrow was faster than Dragonite and it grabbed the ring. "Use dragon rush again" Provo ordered his Dragonite. "Use sky attack!" Paul ordered his Honchkrow. Just as Dragonite was getting close to Honchkrow, Paul noticed a gust of wind perking up. "Ride the wind and dodge it" he said to Honchkrow. A gust of wind appeared and Honchkrow glided with the wind and got away from Dragonite. Poor Dragonite was blown about a bit; Provo had forgotten about the gusts of wind. Then Honchkrow tackled Dragonite hard with sky attach, which made Dragonite fall to the ground in defeat. So Paul won the round after Honchkrow place the ring on the goal line.
Ash, Tomo and Dawn were surprised from seeing Dragonite get defeated by Honchkrow. "It's clear that Paul's good at pokeringer" said Ash. "Yeah and his Honchkrow has grown stronger too" said Tomo. Ash felt this wasn't going to be easy once he faces Paul in a round.
Dawn was up next and she was facing the man the gang they met earlier. His name was Thomas. Thomas sent out his Yanmega while Dawn sent out her Chatot. Dawn ordered Chatot to get the ring at once. But unfortunately for Chatot, Yanmega was faster and grabbed the ring first. "Quick Chatot go with peck" said Dawn. Chatot charged at Yanmega with peck, but then a gust of wind appeared and Chatot was blown down towards the ground. Dawn forgot about the gusts of wind and panicky told her Chatot to try and get the ring from Yanmega. But it was too late. Yanmega got to the goal post and won the round for Thomas. Dawn of course wasn't happy with her lost; she has a lot to learn about pokeringer.
Tomo was up next against a trainer named Steveland. Steveland used a Skiploom while Tomo used his Pidgeotto. Pidgeotto proved to be faster than Skiploom and got the ring onto the hook before Skiploom had any chance to try to get the ring from him. The other rounds went on. During the competition Thomas got defeated by Paul and Tomo got defeated by Ash, and then Ash and Paul defeated their other opponents before finally reaching the final round. Dawn and Tomo were in the audience seats with Brock, and Ash was up in the baloon with Pikachu. He was looking forward to showing Paul how stronger his Staravia was now.
Paul sent out his Honchkrow while Ash sent out Staravia. Staravia got to the ring first and headed for the goal at once. "Sky attack!" Paul commanded to Honchkrow. "Counter with brave bird Staravia!" commanded Ash. The two bird pokemon collided with each with their attacks. Poor Staravia was flown back but he still had the ring in his beak. "Night slash!" Paul commanded Honchkrow. "Dodge it with quick attack!" Ash shouted to Staravia. Thanks to quick attack Staravia dodged Honchkrow before Honchkrow could strike it with night slash. "Head for the goal now" said Ash. Paul wasn't giving up yet and ordered Honchkrow to use dark pulse. "Quick Staravia use air cutter" said Ash. The air cutter and dark pulse attacks collided with each other. "Alright, Staravia use hidden power" said Ash. Staravia fired a hidden power towards Honchkrow, but Honchkrow used night slash to counter it. Just then a sudden gust of wind came and Staravia was blown about a bit. "Don't panic Staravia, use aerial ace to rind the wind" said Ash. "You use aerial ace too!" Paul shouted at Honchkrow. Staravia tried to get away from Honchkrow and get to the goal but Honchkrow was faster and it swiped the ring from Honchkrow. "Quick Staravia use quick attack to get the ring back" said Ash. Thanks to quick attack Staravia managed to get the ring back, but Paul wasn't giving up yet. "Night slash!" he shouted. "Counter with steel wing" said Ash. The two birds attacked each other with their wings. Honchkrow proved to be stronger and Staravia was knocked to the ground. He was still holding the ring in his beak, even after falling to the ground. "Oh no this is bad" said Dawn, worriedly. "I hate to say this but Staravia is no match for Paul's Honchkrow" said Brock. It was true it looked hopeless for Ash and Staravia now. Paul ordered Honchkrow to use sky attack. That was bad because if Staravia got this one hit it would be all over. Ash tried to get Staravia to get up, but it looked hopeless. Paul believed that it was over now. "Come on Staravia get up and get out of the way now!" shouted Ash. After hearing Ash's shouting Staravia got up and dodged Honchkrow.
Suddenly Staravia glowed and evolved into Staraptor. The match wasn't over yet. Paul of course wasn't impressed and ordered Honchkrow to use night slash. Ash ordered Staraptor to counter it with steel wing and the two birds began fighting each other with their wings. "Hey Staraptor is putting up quite a fight against Honchkrow" said Tomo. "You're right;" said Brock "because it evolved Staraptor is a match for Honchkrow now". "That's it Staraptor show that Honchkrow what you are made of" said Ash. Just then Staraptor started to hit Honchkrow not only with his wings but with his feet and beak too. "Hey that's close combat" said Dawn. "Staraptor must have just learnt it" said Brock. "Okay Staraptor time to head to the goal" said Ash. Staraptor headed for the goal at once. "Use sky attack now!" commanded Paul. Honchkrow charged towards Staraptor, but Staraptor used brave bird to counter it. The two bird pokemon collided with each other and Staraptor dropped the ring. Ash and Paul ordered their pokemon to go after the ring at once. Honchkrow was a little bit faster than Staraptor and it looked like Honchkrow was going to win. But Ash had an idea. "Staraptor hit the ring with wing attack" he said. Staraptor flew closer to ring and then with one of his wings he gave the ring a good hit. The ring flew towards the goal post and landed on the hook, giving Ash and Staraptor the win.
So Ash and Staraptor were the winners of the Squallville Pokeringer. Paul was cross at his Honchkrow for being too slow and for losing. He returned Honchkrow to the pokeball, took a quick glance at Ash and left the arena. Ash received the pokeringer plaque and had his photo taken with Staraptor. Not only was he happy with his win, he was also happy to have beaten Paul in something for once. Ash also received his prize of pokemon food. "All our pokemon will get a nice feast tonight and tomorrow" said Brock. The others agreed. Pikachu, Piplup and Growlithe couldn't wait for the feast because they were starting to feel hungry.
Later on the gang was admiring Staraptor for a bit, when the saw Paul who was just about to leave the area. Ash and Paul stared at each other. Ash's eyes were saying 'What do you think of my Staraptor now?' to Paul. He hadn't forgotten about the times when Paul called Staraptor weak back when it was a Starly and a Staravia. Paul just shrugged and walked away; he still thought Staraptor was weak and only won by luck. "He still thinks you're weak doesn't he big brother?" asked Ash. "I'm afraid he does," said Ash "but don't worry, once we start battling in the pokemon league I'll show him a thing or two". "So will I" said Tomo.
So with the pokeringer now being over, the gang could continue onto Snowpoint City.
Sometime after the pokeringer competition the gang was walking through a forest on the way to Snowpoint City. Right now they were taking a quick break and having drinks of water. Dawn was staring at one of her pokeballs; this pokeball was Mamoswine's. She had it sent from Prof Rowan's lab because she decided to try and patch things up with him again. "Are you sure you want to try again with Mamoswine Dawn?" asked Tomo. "I can't just keep Mamoswine in time out at the lab forever Tomo," said Dawn "I want to try and get Mamoswine to be obedient again sooner or later otherwise I'll never use him in a contest ever". The boys saw the point. Dawn was about to have another sip of water from her canteen, but her canteen was empty. "Oh-oh I need to go and fill up my canteen again" she said. "Okay go fill up your canteen, and then we'll continue on with the journey" said Brock. So Dawn and Piplup went off to find a river to get some more water. "Let's hope Mamoswine won't give us too much trouble again" said Tomo. "We'll prepare ourselves when Dawn says she'll take out Mamoswine from the pokeball" said Ash.
Meanwhile Dawn found the river and quickly refilled her canteen. But then she and Piplup heard a noise from above them. It was an Aggron. Before Dawn could do anything, Aggron fired a hyper beam attack at her and Piplup. Dawn and Piplup fell into the river and were washed down by it. Soon Dawn and Piplup got themselves out of the river, but they were really separated from the boys now. "What was up with that Aggron?" said Dawn, who couldn't understand why the Aggron attacked her.
At that time the boys noticed that Dawn and Piplup were missing. Tomo picked up Dawn's water canteen that she dropped. Ash noticed a mark on a rock and Brock suggested that Dawn must have slipped and fallen into the river. Suddenly the same Aggron that attacked Dawn attacked the boys with hyper beam. "Run!" shouted Brock. And that's exactly what the boys did. They ran to a spot where Aggron was nowhere to be seen. "Phew," sighed Ash "what was up with that Aggron?" Brock took a look at a big rock. "Maybe these rocks have iron in them" he said. "Oh yeah Aggron eat iron," remembered Ash "it must have thought we were invading its territory". "More the reason to find Dawn and fast" said Brock. Ash released Staraptor and Tomo released Pidgeotto. "Staraptor, Pidgeotto we need to find Dawn and quickly before Aggron finds them again" said Ash. The two birds flew off at once.
Meanwhile Dawn and Piplup were running to try and find the others. "We need to find them and warn them about Aggron" said Dawn. Piplup agreed. Dawn ran and ran but she couldn't find the boys anywhere. The boys weren't having much luck on finding Dawn either. Soon Dawn came to a circle of trees and then she got the idea. She released her Pachirisu and Smoochum and told them what had happened. "Okay the plan is for you lot to release an attack into the air that way Ash, Tomo and Brock will see them and that will let them know where we are". The pokemon understood and Smoochum released ice beam into the air then Pachirisu released discharge into the air. But this turned out to be a bad idea because the attacks lured Aggron to the small group.
Dawn and her pokemon ran away at once when Aggron turned up. But they ended up running towards a cliff and there was no way for them to escape. Having no choice, Dawn released Mamoswine to fight Aggron. But of course Mamoswine started to fall asleep. "This is no time to take a nap Mamoswine" said Dawn. Mamoswine ignored her. "Come on Mamoswine we need you to fight Aggron for us" pleaded Dawn. Aggron attacked with flash cannon, which woke Mamoswine up at once. Mamoswine was cross and charged with take down, but Aggron countered with double edge. Mamoswine attacked with ice shard next but Aggron countered it with ice beam. Then Aggron charged at Mamoswine again with double edge. Mamoswine was knocked onto the ground and the cliff broke apart. Dawn and all of her pokemon fell right down the cliff. Mamoswine landed on the ground first and Dawn and the other pokemon landed on Mamoswine. Aggron looked down the cliff for a moment and then walked away.
Down on the ground Dawn checked to see if everyone was alright. But Mamoswine was hurt; a big rock had landed on his left back leg and left a terrible bruise. "This is bad," said Dawn "if we stay here Aggron will find us and attack us for sure". She wanted to return Mamoswine to his pokeball, but the pokeball was missing. The small group tried to find it but it was lost for sure. "We will have to hide Mamoswine before Aggron comes" decided Dawn. She noticed a big tree just nearby. "Okay we'll move Mamoswine to that tree after we make a nice soft bed for him". She released Ambipom and Chatot from their pokeballs and all of the pokemon began gathering branches with leaves to make Mamoswine's bed. After making the bed Dawn asked Mamoswine if he could move over to the bed of leaves. She gave him a poffin and her pokemon helped Mamoswine walk over to the bed of leaves. Then everyone covered Mamoswine up with more branches of leaves to camouflage Mamoswine. That way Aggron wouldn't be able to find Mamoswine and the others.
Dawn looked at Mamoswine's injured leg and remembered what Ash told her before about never to panic while her pokemon are sick or injured. "It's okay Mamoswine," said Dawn, staying calm, "Ash and Brock have taught me a lot about pokemon medicine. There's no need to worry". Mamoswine lay silent. The first thing Dawn remembered from her teachings was a plant, which nearly looked like big thick grass, which contained a gel like substance inside the leaves. The get was excellent for treating a pokemon's wound. Dawn's pokemon gathered up more of the plant they could find and Dawn placed the gel onto Mamoswine's leg and wrapped a bandage around the wound. Next Dawn had Piplup fill a bucket up with water and Smoochum used powder snow to turn the water into ice. Then Dawn made an ice pack with a big cloth and placed it on Mamoswine's leg. "That's good now all we need is an oran berry" she said. Luckily there were some fruit trees nearby. Ambipom gathered up some berries and gathered lots of bunches of bananas. Then Dawn gave an oran berry to Mamoswine. Mamoswine started to feel different because of how Dawn was taking good care of him while he was injured.
Later on sunset came and Ash, Tomo and Brock still couldn't find Dawn anywhere. "We've been looking for hours and we still can't find Dawn" sighed Ash. "Where could she have gone?" said Brock. "Hey look at this" said Tomo. He found a pokeball near a rock; the boys had come to the cliff where Dawn and her pokemon fell from. "That must belong to Dawn" said Brock, looking at the pokeball. "Something must have happened" said Ash, worriedly.
Meanwhile Dawn and her pokemon were keeping watch over Mamoswine the whole time. Just then they heard a thumping noise; it was Aggron walking towards the tree. Pachirisu sprang into action. He ran behind two bushes to make them rustle. Aggron noticed that and walked away from the tree to find the hidden culprit. "Thank you Pachirisu" said Dawn, once Pachirisu come back. Dawn wanted to return a pokemon for rest but they wanted to stay to continue looking after Mamoswine. She was grateful to them.
Soon night time came and Ash, Brock and Tomo had taken shelter in a cave and they had a fire going for warmth. "I hope Dawn is alright" said Tomo. "Once the sun comes up we'll go search for her again" said Brock. "I'm sure she's fine," said Ash "she's got all her pokemon there to help her". "I reckon that pokeball Dawn dropped was Mamoswine's pokeball" said Brock. "If that's true, then let's hope Mamoswine isn't causing too much trouble for Dawn" said Ash.
Meanwhile Dawn was tending to Mamoswine while her pokemon were asleep. Just then Smoochum woke up and noticed Dawn. "Hi Smoochum," said Dawn "since the nice has melted can you do powder snow again?" Smoochum created some more ice and Dawn placed another ice pack on Mamoswine's leg. Then she and Smoochum went to sleep for the night.
The next day Staraptor and Pidgeotto and the boys were searching for Dawn again. Meanwhile Dawn was checking over Mamoswine's bandaged wound. "Well everything seems okay for now," she said "if only I knew where Mamoswine's pokeball went". She really wanted to go and find the boys, but she couldn't leave Mamoswine especially since Aggron was still out there. Then she got an idea. "Chatot can you fly and see if you can find Ash, Tomo and Brock?" Dawn asked Chatot. Chatot took off at once. It wasn't long till Chatot ran into Staraptor and Pidgeotto and Staraptor and Pidgeotto led Chatot to Ash, Tomo and Brock. "Chatot thank goodness," said Ash, once the boys saw Chatot, "lead us to Dawn at once". Thanks to Chatot the boys found Dawn and her pokemon at last. "Oh Ash, Brock and Tomo am I glad to see you guys" smiled Dawn. "You alright Dawn?" asked Ash. "No need to worry" smiled Dawn. Brock noticed the bandage on Mamoswine's leg. "Did Mamoswine get hurt?" he asked Dawn. "Yeah we fell down the cliff when Aggron attacked and that's how Mamoswine got injured," answered Dawn "but thanks to you guys teaching me all about pokemon medicine I was able to treat Mamoswine". "That's great" said Ash. "And it looks like you did a wonderful job" said Brock.
Suddenly Aggron arrived ready to attack again. Dawn and all of her pokemon got ready to defend Mamoswine. Aggron was about to fire a hyper beam attack, but it got hit by a mud bomb attack. The attack came from Mamoswine; he had woken up and was well enough to fight Aggron. "Mamoswine are you okay?" asked Dawn. Mamoswine responded by placing Dawn and her pokemon on his back; that meant he was okay. "Alright Mamoswine attack with ice shard" said Dawn. Mamoswine fired an ice shard attack and it hit Aggron; he was beginning to obey Dawn again. Aggron didn't back down and charged to use double edge attack. Dawn was about to tell Mamoswine to use take down, but then Mamoswine glowed blue and he tackled Aggron really hard with his tucks. "That was superpower," said Brock "Mamoswine must have just learnt it". "Since it's a fighting type move Aggron is in trouble now" said Ash. He was right because that move took a lot out of Aggron. Aggron retreated from that attack.
"Alright Dawn you did it," said Ash "and you got Mamoswine to listen to you again". "I have to admit I was surprised by that, but I'm glad" said Dawn. At that time Mamoswine went straight to the pile of bunches of bananas Ambipom gathered yesterday, and began to eat them. "You can defiantly tell Mamoswine is all better now" chuckled Tomo. The others agreed.
So after that excitement with Aggron Dawn finally got Mamoswine to obey her again, and she was happy about that.
Today the gang had stopped at a forest area. "What a beautiful day" sighed Dawn. "Hey look at that" said Tomo, pointing to a tree. Tomo had found three Cherrims in a tree. "Ah how cute!" squealed Dawn "I'm going to catch one. I always liked Lila's Cherrim, and now I want one for my own". "Then go for it while you have the chance now" said Ash. "Oh I will" said Dawn. She released her Wormadam to battle a Cherrim. "Wormadam use psybeam on one of those Cherrims". Wormadam's psybeam hit one of the Cherrims and it fell out of the tree. The other two Cherrims fled. Cherrim fired a magical leaf towards Wormadam. "Dodge it and use signal beam Wormadam" said Dawn. Wormadam dodged the leaves and fired a signal beam. Cherrim got hit by the attack and fainted. "Okay let's go pokeball" said Dawn, throwing the pokeball. Cherrim was sucked into the pokeball and was caught. "Alright I caught my own Cherrim!" cheered Dawn. "Good for you Dawn" smiled Brock. Cherrim's pokeball teleported to Prof Rowan's lab as Dawn already had six pokemon on her.
Ash and Tomo had something they wanted to do too and that was train for the Snowpoint City Gym. So Ash released his Chimchar and Tomo released his Chimchar. They decided to have a Chimchar vs Chimchar battle. "Alright Chimchar use flamethrower" said Ash. "Use dig to dodge it Chimchar" said Tomo. Tomo's Chimchar dug into the ground and dodged the flamethrower attack. Then Chimchar came out of the ground and punched Ash's Chimchar with focus punch. "Time we used a punching move too," said Ash "Chimchar use thunder punch". Chimchar punched Tomo's Chimchar good with thunder punch. "Wow Ash's Chimchar knows thunder punch?" asks Dawn. "Ash and Tomo taught their Chimchars how to use thunder punch for when they ever have to battle water type pokemon" said Brock. "I see" said Dawn. It was then the two brothers stopped their pokemon now; they didn't want to go over the top with the training.
Suddenly a wind of ice appeared and froze the gang. What had happened was a little white, brown and green pokemon that looked like a small mountain had used powder snow. This pokemon was called a Snover and it found it very funny seeing the gang trapped in the ice. But then the two Chimchars' tails melted the ice and they were free. Then they melted the rest of the ice with flamethrower, freeing everyone. "Man that came out of nowhere" sighed Dawn. "What kind of weird weather was that?" asked Brock. "I don't know," said Ash "but that felt like a powder snow attack". "How can that be?" asked Dawn. "I don't know that either, but I suggest we leave before anything else happens" said Ash. The others agreed.
A while later the gang were walking through a field. Snover was secretly watching behind some bushes and decide to pull another prank. This time it used grass knot and of course it made Ash, Brock, Tomo and Dawn fall over. "Okay something weird is going on here," said Ash "first we got frozen by powder snow and now we get tripped by a grass knot attack. If I was to know better, I'd think a pokemon is playing tricks on us". He had a look around. "I bet our trickster is hiding in those bushes over there". The gang decided to check out the bushes at once. This made Snover panic as the gang were heading for the bushes it was behind. So it used ingrain at the gang was trapped in vines. "What's going on here!" shouted Ash. He got the answer a second later; Snover revealed itself to the gang. "This must be that Snover's ingrain attack," explained Brock "that grass knot and powder snow must have been its attacks too".
Ash looked at Snover on the pokedex; Snover, the frost tree pokemon. It lives on snowy mountains. Having had little contact with humans, it is boldly inquisitive.
"That's strange;" said Tomo "why is there a Snover here while it's supposed to be living in the mountains?" "We'll figure that out later," said Ash "right now we need to get out of this". Tomo had the answer; he released his Sunflora and told her to use razor leaf. The razor leaf cut the vines and the gang was free again. But Snover had one more trick; it used grass whistle, and the gang fell asleep.
Snover went up to Ash and shook him. Ash woke up and noticed Snover, which made him jump in surprise. But then Snover grabbed Ash into a hug. "Uh nice to meet you too I guess" said Ash. The others woke up too. "What's Snover doing?" asked Tomo. "Being friendly it seems" answered Ash. After letting go of Ash, Snover pulled off some white berries from its body and gave them to the gang. The gang tried the berries and found them delicious. "This is good it's cold and sweet like an ice lolly" said Tomo. "Hey this reminds me of something," said Ash "I was talking to Prof Oak on the phone on our last trip to a town and he said that Grotle grows acorn like nuts on his trees". "That's amazing," said Dawn "that's like Snover here that has grown this frozen berries on its body". "Yes but Prof Oak said they are delicious to pokemon but not to humans" said Ash. "Oh well, that's nature for you" said Brock.
It was then Ash got up from the ground. "Snover I wish to catch you," he said "you're a cool pokemon and I'd like a pokemon like you". Snover stared at Ash for a moment and then it suddenly hugged Ash in happiness. "That defiantly means it accepts your desire to catch it Ash" said Brock. "Okay let's do it then" said Ash. He took out a pokeball and was about to throw it, but Snover touched the pokeball and went into the pokeball itself. Snover was captured and the pokeball was teleported to Prof Oak's lab. "That was an easy capture" smiled Dawn. "I agree" smiled Ash.
Suddenly there were some big bangs coming from cliffs. "What was that?" said Dawn. "I don't know but I have a feeling there's trouble about" said Ash. The gang ran towards the area where the bangs came from. The gang had a nasty surprise when they saw the commotion; there was a bunch of injured pokemon on the ground. They had been defeated by a Magmortar and Rhyperior. "What on earth happened here?!" gasped Dawn. She got her answer soon enough because Cassidy and Butch turned up. "What are you two doing here?!" shouted Ash. "Well in case you don't know Jessie and James and that Meowth of theirs quit Team Rocket" said Cassidy. "Yes and since they are out of the way we came here to gather pokemon from Sinnoh instead of them" said Butch. The gang were surprised to hear that. "Do you think what they just said is true?" whispered Dawn. "I can sense that they are not lying" whispered Ash. "I never thought those three would do that" whispered Brock. The gang had no idea what happened with Jessie, James and Meowth.
But now they had Cassidy and Butch to deal with at the moment. Ash sent out Luxio, Roselia and Prinplup to battle Magmortar and Rhyperior. "Okay Roselia and Prinplup you use energy ball and bubble beam on Rhyperior," he said "and Luxio and Pikachu you two use thunderbolt on Magmortar". "Piplup you help out too" said Dawn. "You too Growlithe" said Tomo. The pokemon began to fight Magmortar and Rhyperior together. "Don't give in to those pipsqueaks!" shouted Cassidy. "Yeah beat them!" shouted Butch. Rhyperior and Magmortar proved to be strong especially with attacks like hammer arm, rock wreaker, fire blast and hyper beam. But of course the gang and their pokemon weren't going to give up. "We can do this no matter what!" shouted Ash.
Just then Luxio released a very powerful discharge attack which hit Magmortar good. Then suddenly he evolved into a Luxray. "Wow look at that!" gasped Tomo.
He looked at Luxray on his pokedex; Luxray, the gleam eyes pokemon. The evolved form of Luxio. Luxray's ability to see through objects comes in handy when it's scouting for danger.
"Okay everyone let's do this!" shouted Ash. All of the pokemon attacked Magmortar and Rhyperior again and this time the two pokemon were defeated. Cassidy and Butch growled in anger and returned their pokemon. "We'll retreat for now but you haven't seen the last of us brats!" shouted Cassidy. She and Butch revealed some jet back packs and they flew away as quick as they could. "I can't believe we've met up with that Cassidy and Butch again" said Ash. "What I can't believe that they said Jessie, James and Meowth had left" said Brock. "I wonder where they went?" said Ash. "I don't know," said Brock "but one thing I do know is we'll need to watch out for Cassidy and Butch when we next see them. Those two are more dangerous than Jessie and James ever were". The others agreed.
After defeating Team Rocket the gang stayed with the wild pokemon to help them recover from their attacks. The next day the pokemon were well enough to take care of themselves again, and the gang left the area. Sime time later the gang arrived at the foot of the mountain. Brock looked at the map book and he said they were close to a place called Sandalstraw Town. "Oh that reminds me," said Ash "I learnt from the last town we were in that there is a pokemon contest in Sandalstraw Town". "Really?" said Dawn "then I will use this contest to get my fifth ribbon" said Dawn. "Then this is our next destination" said Ash.
With two new pokemon on the team, the gang made their way for Sandalstraw Town for the next pokemon contest.
I'm so sorry for the wait. I'll be very busy at work this summer, so I may not be able to put up a chapter till summer is over. I'm sorry.
They should've had Ash catch Snover, since the Snover in the lost Snover episode liked Ash every much. They also should've had Dawn catch Cherrim and Chatot in the anime. I'm telling you they make the characters in the manga get more pokemon than their anime counterparts do. Silly really. Thomas with a Yanmega is based upon James and Yanmega in the pokeringer in the pursuing a lofty goal episode. I thought James did pathetically in that pokeringer, especially since he could've found out about the winds in the Squallville Town area. I told you I would use Cassidy and Butch for the rest of the Sinnoh arc. For Unova I'm using my own Team Rocket members Claude and Maggie.
