The next day went by with the girl's same excessive PowerPoints and enthusiasm, except there was even more detail, if that was possible. Still, Lucy's heart warmed at the effort they were putting in for her.

'Ok, Lucy today we are talking about beauty,' Mira again was in charge of this lesson and had gifted Lucy a new, dolled up notebook to keep all her notes in. 'Now makeup is considered a key part, but many girls choose not to wear it,' this Lucy, assumed, was a comment for her, every one of them had been wearing makeup every day since she'd seen them, Mira was probably just spearing her feelings,

'However, it's key you know how to apply it for the occasions where you want to wear makeup. I won't mention we live in a society where studies have shown women are more likely to be hired if they are wearing makeup.'

'Despite having not quite as brilliant qualifications as the other competing women. Unless of course, they feel she's wearing too much makeup then they don't want a hooker in their workplace because apparently, that's how being a woman works. You're either a hair flicker or a hooker. AND let's not forget on top of this her jobs more likely to be taken by a man.' She took another deep breath before flashing a smile and continuing.

'You must know of your struggles Lucy girl!' Mira's voice had gotten higher and higher the more rage that filled her. Sometimes Lucy forgot that being a girl was no piece of cake (excluding her monthly reminder).

There was nodding around the group, a feeling of unified anger and need for change also filled with support for one and another. It was like what she'd felt with the guys when they all got a detention together. Or Loke had broken his foot and they had all walked with crutches for a week. Solidarity.

With a clap of her hands, Mira had swept the atmosphere back to light fluff, smiling pleasantly and letting her skirt swaying a little with the movement. Once more Lucy was in awe of her grace.

'first of wee are going to talk about day to day makeup and build up.' And so, Lucy learned the ways of the makeup world, she learned was best who what event showed her different mascara brushes, how extensions worked.

They moved onto hair and nails so enough, Lucy struggling with nails the most, it went all over her hand, the nail varnish remover stinging too. Soon it was skincare after Levy had actually screamed when she saw Lucy's face wash. Skincare was apparently a very big thing. Korean face masks and Californian mud masks. Face rollers and steam machines. Yikes.

They took Lucy to soap stores and perfume shops and cosmetics stores. Lucy got her hair and nails done all fancy, her nail paining under the rug this time. Her shoulder-length hair turned to extensions that went right down to her ass. They did her highlighters, eyeliner, she didn't really need anything else except a dap of lip gloss, that Lucy decided she hated with a passion, constantly sticking to her hair, yuck.

They had her put on her new clothes and Lucy felt reborn. She still had three categories to learn but now she looked the part. 'holy shit' she said, looking in the mirror. She felt ready to be seen by Natsu and the boys, now that she had her hair and nails done she couldn't really hide it anymore anyways.

'We thoughts you'd say that' Cana grinned, 'and so will the guys, I cannot wait for them to see you'

Mira was clapping and Ezra was sobbing like a proud mother, 'just wait until your graduation you will outshine Lucy darling' girl graduation, she was planning a graduation of womanhood…

'-I hope you don't mind but we arranged to meet them, they will be playing baseball, and we thought we'd watch until we all go out to eat.'

Before Lucy could form an opinion Levy bust thorough the curtain, 'omg are you going to wear this to school tomorrow?'

She grinned again, 'you know what I think I will' butterflies in her stomach Lucy made her way out to the taxi, finally she was a girly girl now.

Walking up to the field Lucy's feet where itching to just run. But a lady always had self-restraint- she thought, etiquette lessons had yet to be supplied so it was kind for on a whim. The boys were mid-game. Usually, Lucy would play however, it did not seem like the girls ever did so maybe she shouldn't.

'Hii' they all waved, sitting on the bleachers, the guys waved back, not seeming to notice anything out of the norm and then…anarchy:

'HOLY SHIT IS THAT LUCY'

'WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU'

'WHAT DID YOU GIRLS DO TO HER'

'LUCY GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE WE NEED TO SEE THIS'

'NO NO NO THAT AINT LUCY'

'Err hi guys!' she waved, easily stepping from seat to seat down to the guys, she hadn't had her etiquette lessons yet.

Natsu was there first in her face, gently holding some of her hair in his hands, admiring it 'How's your hair so long, are you wearing a wig?' he asked, curious, it looked natural enough but Natsu knew it was impossible for her hair to have grown quite so long overnight.

Lucy giggled in a girlish way, all light and fluffy like she'd heard Mira 'no, you dummy I go extensions'

'oh' he said with awe, missing the way lucys face turned red.

He brought her hair closer to his eyes, inspecting the extensions, they were an identical shade of blond o her own. 'oh' she said back, dumbly, ignoring the knowing looks the girls gave her.

'looking good Lucy' it was Loke, she didn't know he was out today, Loke was flimsy when it came to practice, 'never thought id get the privilege of seeing you all dolled up' he gave her a flirtatious wink, something that turned lucsy face even redder, not having built up an immunity to guys making moves. She hadn't had much practice at quick quips.

'nice look luce' Natsu stood beside her, looking at her, there was so much tot ake in, her lined eyes flowy hair, and glossy plump lips… stop looking at her lips.

It was however also a bit strange. She looked like a different person. She only looks different Natsu reminded himself, he was happy for her, he guessed. If Lucy wanted to dress liekthat then good for her. She was still Lucy.

'wanna play around with us?' he asked, offering her the bat.

The fidgeting and longing eyes lucy gave the bat gave him his answer before she even spoke, 'ill sit this one out, ill be up with the girls' Natsu suddenly felt like the group was split, boys and girls. Hed never noticed it before. He knew the girls from since the guys started dating them, it just so happened that this was how things ended up being. He watched Lucy climb up the bnsters and quickly looked away when she ben over to climb over one, he wasn't a pervert like ice dick that's for sure.

He felt…ditched.

The game didn't last long, Loke had actually decided to sit out with eh girls. Chatting with them about god knows what. Erza herself would have been playing if it weren't for the fact shed made this decision of wearing her good shoes and didn't want to ruin them.

Eventually, the game was over ad the group set out to eat.

Everyone gave their orders to Mira her and Ezra being the mothers of the group. Lucy noticed who was eating what. All the guys and a mix of pizza or burgers and fries. The girls had tacos or pizza and juvia and Mira ordered salads. Erza had course bought a strawberry cake on the way there and was saving it as a desert. Lucy had planned on ordering a burger, till she remembered her painted lips. It was sure t come off if she ate a burger. So instead Lucy went for milkshake fries and called it a day.

When they were ordering Lucy noticed the look her chaiser gave Mira when she was ordering for everyone t the till, eyeing her up, objectifying her. Other guys were doing it to and Lucy briefly wondered why she never saw the boys doing that, maybe they'd its because they had girlfriends. But what about Natsu?

She watched how the girls ate, shed had no etiquette lessons she didn't know what she was doing, they ate slowly, not how she and Natsu had always shoved food into their moves. Those who had lipstick or gloss seemed to have chosen non-biting food. Ate in small mouthfuls. Lucy followed suit.

Natsu was growing annoyed. What exactly had the girls done to Lucy. Fires and a milkshake, that's all? The Lucy he knew would get large fries large milkshake burger and have room for pizza. Yet here she was nibbling at her food and taking a sip now and then of her milkshake. And when the girls went to the toilet, Lucy went with them. All of them at once, she used to laugh with the guys about how they went everywhere together. What the hell. This wasn't normal no one can change their personality in a day. Maybe it was some kind of prank on the guys.

'-she's done a complete 180'

Natsu looked up, it seemed the guys were talking of Lucy's "transformation" too except non of them seemed annoyed just confused, interested.

'We need to have an arcade match, remind her of her roots' Gray said, the boys around them nodding, 'its cool she's handing with the girls, it's important she has girlfriends but she's still one of us' again the boys all nodded,

'wow, I can't believe she really transformed. I wonder why'

'she's a girl gashile, she may be one of us but you know sometimes she had it rough in school'

'we dealt with them' Natsu said, 'she dealt with them'

'physically, but the distance remains mentally' Natsu hadn't realized this, well he had a little but had tried to make up for it by being the ultimate friend. Natsu may never have had an interest in wearing dresses or makeup but if he had and he had repressed that, even a little he could imagine how it would build up to longing.

'what if there's a guy'

What!' the table gasped, food now completely forgotten.

Grey fidgeted, but continued his point non the less, 'What If Lucy is tired of being seen as one of us and wants a boyfriend, so she decided she had to change'

Natsu suddenly felt furious, 'well we will have to do a background check on whatever scumbag thinks he can date her'

'Yeah, we ain't letting nobody hurt Lucy'

'what if a boyfriend would be a good thing'

'Shut up Loke' they said in unison

If they were like brothers then Lucy was their sister. She would break anyone's nose for them and they would happily return the favour and more for her. Each one of them had gotten their fair share of detentions for fights. Lucy included since she was the only one who would happily slap a girl up. The boys just felt it was wrong to hit girls who clearly couldn't hit back, they were scary enough on looks. Had a bad bitch like Ezra been talking shit different story, no problem-fighting someone who can dish it. But high school girls weren't usually able to dish it.

The girls came back, Lucy had a fresh coat of lip gloss and walk over to them, Nastu smile when he saw her try to shove her hands in her pockets only to realize she didn't have any. 'hey luce wanna stop by the arcade tomorrow'

Lucy's face lit up but then she looked back at the girls, asked them, and mumbled things he couldn't hear before saying 'yeah I can make it, buuuttt not until three.'

He didn't like that, and he wasn't the only one who noticed. 'yeah threes fine' because three was fine, it was the asking, why did she have to ask the girls? He didn't like being suspicious of his own friends, the girls were nice, but Erza and Mira could get carried away, why if they'd decided Lucy was a new project for them, swung Lucy on board with the idea, and poof they'd turn her into mini them. Lucy was her own person, she should have to ask them if she could hang out with her friends. What he hell.

FaceTime that evening was different. Lucy showed him all her fancy face masks and Natsu agreed to do them all with her. She asked if she could paint his nails, he again said yes. Because Lucy seemed to really want to. 'I need to practice' she said, explaining how horrible she was at it.

'What colour' he asked, and Lucy grabbed a big box of nail varnish to show her camera, 'holy shit luce you have a ton, since when'

She giggles, 'since this morning. The girls took me shopping again, what do ya think'

'Red nails, if I'm going to have any colour I want red, that'd be sick'

a pleased smile made its way onto her face 'Red nails it is Dragneel, I'll paint them Friday!'

ok so here's the sitch, I have a lot a lot of exams. all the time, they are not stopping. sooo the chapters are not quite as polished as they should be. but I still want to get this story out to you guys so here we are. i will be going back and editing them from time to time.
