Hi guys! I think I'm two or three days behind time, but that's just cuz...well, i'm updating some other stories too, so yea. HAHA
Truthfully, this chapter may or may not be a bit confusing. I don't really know what to make of it. I'm just hoping you guys will like it HAHA
Really, thanks for all the reviews! i really, REALLY appreciate them by LOTS!
Also, i know that a common problem with my writing is that i tend to switch from third to first and first to third POV. Its just like sometimes, i put myself in the characters shoes while i type, and sometimes i've already planned out what to write, so i make the absent-minded mistake of switching POVs HAHA SORRY . I'LL CORRECT THEM ONCE I'M DONE!
Enjoy! And R&R!

Grover's POV
I frowned as I walked through the hallway. Something seemed to have happened, judging by everyone's secretive whisperings and frowns.
I briefly wondered what it was about. Of course, the school always had many gossips and rumors, but this was, by far, the most widespread one I've seen in years. The last time it was this big…was when Percy and Rachel broke up.
Literally every one was discussing about whatever they were talking. I started to have an uneasy feeling as I heard a certain name pop out.
"Hey," I approached a student who looked like she was fifteen. She turned to see who had called her, and immediately blushed when she saw it was me. I ignored it, being used to it for years now.
"Y-yes?" She stuttered.
"What is the whole school talking about?" I asked her. She suddenly looked really unsure, and looked at her group of friends for help. They all seemed to look as unsure as she did. I immediately became worried. Was it something about me? That can't be. If it was, everyone would be glancing at me by now, but they weren't.
"Um…" She finally spoke up, "There's a rumor going on about Percy Jackson cheating on Rachel Elizabeth Dare a few years ago." She informed me tentatively.
I stared at her for a few seconds, trying to process what she was saying. Finally, I regained my composure…somewhat.
Okay, my reaction was something like this:
"WHO THE FUCKING HELL IS SPREADING THESE RUMORS?!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, glaring at everyone. My voice echoed throughout the whole hallway, and everyone was staring at me in shock.
"WHO?" I asked once again. Some of the younger kids – twelve years old – seemed to take a step back from me as I glared daggers at everyone. The whole place was silent. Not a single person said a single word, which only caused my anger to grow.
Just as I was about to shout again, someone grabbed my arm. I whipped around, prepared to scream at whomever that person's face was, but stopped myself as I realized it was Nico.
His face had a disturbed expression, as though whatever that was happening around him was not infuriating, but just…not adding up. It was as though he knew something, and had suspicions, but the rumors were conflicting with what he knew.
"Grover," he whispered urgently, tugging his arm, aware of the fearful looks shot at them. "C'mon, I…there's something I need to tell you."
I shot him a confused look, but he tugged my arm with more force, forcing me to follow him. We then hurriedly walked out of the school, to somewhere that no one would hear us.
"There's something wrong." Nico stated.
"No shit, Sherlock," I hissed angrily. "You prevented me from finding out who spread it." He sighed and seemed to ponder about something.
"Grover…we have to find Percy. I have a feeling Percy already knows about the rumors." He told me. My eyes widened.
"Shit!" I swore. "Let's get going!" We both started sprinting towards the direction of Percy's house.
"He's not here!" Nico exclaimed after knocking for the tenth time without any reply. I cursed, frantically thinking about what to do next.
Who knows what Percy might do. Images and thoughts about what he would do flashed by my mind. I quickly shook my head, clearing my thoughts. He would never do something stupid.
"How do we get him now?" I asked Nico. Nico bit his lip, thinking t a hundred mils per hour about what to do.
"Lets call Annabeth." He stated.
"Won't she be in school?" I asked.
"I'm pretty sure Annabeth would skip school for Percy…they're real damn close friends, after all." Nico said. I nodded, deciding to give it a try anyway. I snatched out my phone from my pocket and dialed Annabeth.
It rang for a few seconds before Annabeth answered.
"Grover, I was just about to call you. Have you seen Percy?" Annabeth asked, worry in her voice. I frowned.
"You don't know where he is?" I asked in disbelief.
"He didn't come over today! He never missed a day before!" Her voice sounded panicky, but there was a hint of guilt too. I decided to question her later.
"Do you have any idea where she is at all?" I asked.
"I've been searching since morning. He wasn't in his house in the morning, and he's no where in school!" I swore quietly as I heard her.
"Where are you now?"
"I'm going back to his house. Wanna check whether he's back to his house."
"Tell her to meet us." Nico told me. I nodded.
"We're currently outside his house, but he's not home," I told her on the phone. "But can you meet us first?"
"Of course! I'm on my way now," She said in a hurried tone. "I'll see you there." She finished before hanging up.
"She's coming over now," I informed Nico as he gave me a questioning look. He nodded and looked down at the ground, his body fidgeting unstoppably.
I looked at the street, eyes shifting from left to right, trying to spot Annabeth. Finally, after five minutes, a taxi appeared and stopped in front of us. A very frantic-looking Annabeth stepped out of the taxi.
"Do you guys have any idea where Percy would be?" She asked immediately. We both shook our heads. She cursed as she thought about how to get to Percy.
"Did you guys try to call him?"
"Of course, but he's not answering."
"Damnit! How the hell are we supposed to find him no-" Annabeth was interrupted by the ringing of Nico's phone. Nico whipped out his phone and checked the caller id with hopeful eyes, but then cursed as he saw who it was.
"Good morning, Mr Brunner. Um, I know you want to talk to us abo-" Nico started without giving Mr Brunner a moment to speak, but seemed to be interrupted by the Mr Brunner despite his efforts.
Annabeth and I waited impatiently for him to finish up whilst thinking about where Percy could be, when Nico's sudden increase in volume caught our attention.
"-the Manhatten hospital? How do you know? … what ward? … 207? Ok, we'll go straight away." He said before hanging up the phone.
"He's at the hospital. Don't ask questions, 'cause I don't know either. Lets just get going." He said before rushing back to the cab that Annabeth had arrived in. Apparently, she had told the cab driver to wait for her. Wise decision. Annabeth and I followed Nico, urgently boarding the cab and making our way to the hospital.
Theories and possibilities of what had happened to Percy swam through my mind. Could he have actually…tried to commit suicide? No, he's too strong to be broken by just rumors. Then what? Hit by a truck due to his lack of attention?
I couldn't stop the flying images of him being bloodied and broken because of some kind of accident. Man, I hate it when our minds come up with the worst case scenarios.
I prayed to the gods that Percy had not met any harm or danger. I wouldn't know what to do if he had.
When I had just started school, he had been my first friend. My very first friend. I had been a loser then, and he still came up to me with that kind and friendly expression, with such a warm aura that made me calm down and naturally accept him as someone that could be trusted.
I closed my eyes and muttered under my breath, praying even harder as the cab zipped past the crowded streets of Manhatten to get to the hospital.
"Miss, may I know how to get to ward 207?" Annabeth asked the nurse at the counter.
"Please wait a moment as I check," The nurse told us with a dazzling smile and proceeded to type on the computer. She arched her brow as her eyes finally fixed on something on the screen.
"Ward 207 is a deluxe ward (made that up XD), at the top floor." She told us. We were a little surprised at the news. Percy in a deluxe ward? I shook my head again. Don't think about Percy even being in a ward. Maybe he's visiting someone.
"C'mon, lets hurry," Nico said hastily. We nodded and brisk walked our way to the elevator.
As we waited for the elevator to reach the top floor – which is quite high, mind you -, Annabeth finally spoke the thing that was worrying us to death.
"What if it's him staying in the ward?" She asked reluctantly. We all shivered at the thought of him being inside there.
All of our lives have been impacted by him one way or another. Especially Annabeth's. And maybe that was why she looked like a really scared and worried girl right now. As far as I know, Percy was the one who brought her out of her shell, and they had one of the closest relationships compared to a lot of other relationships I've seen.
"H-He'll be fine," I stammered out, nervous and worried as hell. "The ward is not for critical cases, so even if it's him, it's not too bad." I tried to reason, to soothe our nerves. Didn't really help.
Finally, after what seemed like forever, the elevator doors slided open with a loud "ding!". The three of us rushed out, looking at the directions, telling us where ward 207 is.
We then turned to the right and walked as fast as we could without disturbing anyone. The place looked really nice. Carpeted floor, pictures hanging on nicely painted walls, doors that looked really classy and expensive. It seemed like a place for rich people to stay.
It then struck me that Percy had a five-story house, all to himself and those he saw fit to stay with him. He probably was really rich.
Finally we stopped outside the door with golden labels "207". For a short while, we froze, not daring to even touch the door, fear of what we would see gripping our hearts.
All of us took deep, calming breaths. Annabeth then looked at us with determined eyes, and nodded. We both did the same, and she then pushed open the door.
What I saw, was nothing I could have imagined. I was utterly astonished, shell-shocked, whatever words you can use to describe it.
What shocked us wasn't Percy. To my utter relief, he was sitting on a luxurious looking chair, resting his head on the bed frame of the hospital bed as his hand held onto the patient's hand, seemingly fast asleep.
What shocked us was the patient herself… it was who the person was resting on the bed, pale and thinner than I remembered, that shocked me to the core.
