Thalia's POV

Disgust. Complete and utter disgust.

That was what I have been feeling for the past few days. Disgusted.

The whole gang seemed to treat Percy as though he never existed. They didn't question about him, didn't ask about him and didn't even discuss whether he was all right or not.

I mean, even if they assume that Percy was the horrible douche that had ditched Rachel for another girl, shouldn't they give at least one small ounce of care for Percy? He hasn't been attending school for a whole month now, and they still act as though he never even walked the Earth before!

Nico must have noticed my deteriorating mood as he wrapped a warm arm around me.

"Hey," He whispered.

With great difficulty, I tore my eyes away form the way too happy group of assholes and looked at Nico. He was staring at me intensely, so much that I could almost feel two holes burning through my entire skull.

"Don't do anything rash," he said softly, firmly but at the same time soothingly. The red-hot anger that was burning ferociously in me slowly subsided as the feeling of his arm as well as his soothing voice calmed me down.

"They're so fucking happy!" I hissed, trying my best not to let them hear me and at the same time letting a small amount my pent up anger and frustration out.

"I know, and they have a reason to be," Nico said. I was about to shout at him for siding them, but he cut me off.

"They don't know anything, Thalia. Think about this- they think mentioning Percy would make Rachel break down. They also think Percy is a coward for not appearing and taking responsibility for his actions. They don't know anything. Don't blame them."

His reasoning made sense, but that didn't help to soothe my frustration at the fact that the innocent guy was mourning for the loss of his loved one while the one who was guilty for the whole thing was right there having fun with the rest. It was so unfair.

But, as life has taught me thus far, it was always unfair.

"Are you ever going to tell Juniper?" I asked Grover, who was silently eating his vegetables opposite us. He stopped eating and sighed.

"She won't believe me. There's no point starting such a huge argument for nothing." He said in a resigned voice.

"So what, we let all of them have fun like this for the rest of their lives, while Percy lies at home, an outcast to almost everyone, while he mourns over the lost memories of his girlfriend?" Grover sighed.

"I don't know, okay," He replied. "I don't know what to do. Maybe we can start with the friends he's closest to first or something."

"Beckendorf?" Nico suggested. We all stayed silent as we contemplated over it. Beckendorf and Percy had quite a history from way back. As far as I know, they had known each other since before I had joined the school.

"Maybe. But we have to really plan on how to convince him that it's the truth."

"I may have an idea," Annabeth's voice popped out from nowhere. Our eyes shifted to her as she sat down beside Grover.

"Let's hear it," Grover said in a low voice. It was creepy to see all of us so serious, especially Grover. But I guess the fact that it's his best friend explains his mood.

"We get the diary from Percy," Annabeth started. Nico opened his mouth to protest, but Annabeth lifted a hand to stop him.

"Hear me out," Annabeth said. The two of them had a staring contest, but after a minute or so, Nico grunted and leaned back in his chair.

"After we get the diary, we talk to one of the gang first. I guess Beckendorf, since you guys suggested him. After we have showed the important parts of the diary, we then get the ultimate proof- Rachel."

"She can't remember shit, and I'm pretty sure Percy wouldn't want her to recall all those bad memories." I told her.

"That's why we show the diary first, and then tell the person not to mention anything about the incident. We can prove that she lost her memory by simply asking about Percy."

"Pretty good idea, if you ask me," Grover spoke up after a few seconds of heavy silence.

"It's risky. But I guess we can trust Beckendorf," Nico said with a shrug.

"How are we gonna get the diary? I don't think Percy would want Rachel's diary to be shown to everyone." I piped in.

"Leave that to me. I'll convince him somehow," Annabeth replied. Her voice was a little shaky, but when I looked at her, I could see the determination boiling inside her.

She wasn't going to let Percy down again.

Neither was I.

"What do the rest of us do?" Grover asked, placing his metal fork down on the tray, leaning forward, his interest piqued.

"I guess Grover can work on what and how to convince Beckendorf. Thalia can communicate with Rachel to get a little closer to her, and Nico can go and affirm that Beckendorf is the best first choice." Annabeth said. We nodded simultaneously.

The school bell rang just as we finished the discussion. We quickly stood up and walked towards our classes, each of us deep in thought about the plan.

"Is he still in there?" Was the first thing I asked when I saw Jason open the door for me.

"Good to see you too sis," He snidely commented. I noticed he was in an unnaturally good mood.

"Why are you in such high spirits?" I questioned curiously.

"He's out," He gave me a rare toothy grin. My eyes widened, and my legs were rooted to the ground as my brain tried to wrap around the idea that Percy was finally out of his damn room.

The day after he and Annabeth left the hospital together, he hadn't appeared much. The only times he appeared was when Annabeth was around.

I guess I should have felt jealous about that, but I strangely did not feel anything remotely close to it. Only when I reflected deeply upon it did I realize it's probably because I knew that Annabeth and Percy shared a bond that was so close, it was way above anything else.

Two years ago, something had happened. Something had caused the two of them to grow a lot closer. Over time, the bond only strengthened exponentially.

"Kitchen?" I asked as I finally recovered from my initial shock. He nodded his head and stepped aside, allowing me to go through.

As fast as lightning, I moved to the kitchen, and the widest smile I had in ages graced my lips as I saw him sitting there, eating a bloody steak.

He must have felt my presence, because as soon as I took a step into the kitchen, he looked up from his steak.

I literally froze for a second, terrified of what his reaction would be. I hadn't seen him in a while. It was pretty hard to know what mood he was in.

My fears melted away as fast as they came when I saw his usual, albeit a little les cheerful, cheeky grin.

"I prepared lunch," He told me, his voice light. I looked at the smoking hot steak he had prepared on the kitchen table, and my mouth was immediately flooded with saliva. My stomach growled pretty loudly too.

"Thanks," I thanked before swiftly sitting down and tucking in. I closed my eyes as I took a slow, deep bite into the bloody meat, savoring the taste of the steak, cherishing every moment.

"I missed your cooking," I told him, a little saliva shooting out of my filled mouth. He gave me his trademark grin.

"I missed it too," he said, and we both chuckled. Jason walked in and sat down beside me.

"Are you still mad about the diary?" Jason asked, and I had to really resist the urge to smack him all the way to Pluto.

"No," Percy replied without a hint of hesitation or anger. "I'm done being angry over that." Jason sighed in relief and chuckled lightly.

"Just don't do it again," Percy warned him seriously. Jason gave a sheepish smile and nodded quickly.

"Is Annabeth going to come?" He suddenly asked as we ate.

Just when he asked, we heard the main door open. We all knew who was the other key holder to the house.

A few seconds later, Annabeth appeared at the kitchen entrance. She glanced at Percy and smiled.

"You made lunch?" She asked. That's it. No huge surprise or anything. She was as calm as still water.

"Yup."

"Good. I was getting tired of the outside food." She said before taking a seat next to him and eating the steak. It struck me that Percy had prepared her share, even though he hadn't been sure whether she would come or not.

After we had finished our lunch, we sat around the kitchen table, leaning back comfortably as we sipped on out coke to wash down whatever remained in our throats. There was a silence, but i couldn't identify whether it was an awkward one or a comfortable one. Probably in between.

I looked at Annabeth and shivers immediately went down my spine when I realized she was staring extremely hard at me.

"Go out," Was what she seemed to be trying to tell us with her facial expression. "I want to talk to him. Alone."

I nodded almost unnoticeably before grabbing Jason's arm and pulling him up from his seat, ignoring his protests.

"We'll be going to wash up now. See ya guys in a bit," I informed them before dragging Jason out of the kitchen.

"H-hey!" Jason exclaimed as he was forced to come along with me. Finally, we reached my room. I pushed him in before entering and closing the door behind me.

"What was that for?" He asked in slight annoyance. I then went on to explain about the plan we had formulated a few hours earlier. Throughout the whole explanation, Jason was listening intently to it.

"Well," He started after I had finished. "It's a decent plan, if not the only one. I can't b of much help since I'm hardly with you guys so yea…" I nodded, understanding his predicament.

He had different time schedules. Also, most of the gang were older than him, thus his influence probably wasn't all that magnificent either.

I stared nervously behind me, wondering how Annabeth would convince Percy to pass her Rachel's diary.

I just hoped it would end well.
