Thalia's POV

"You fucking asshole!" Rachel's voice echoed throughout the entire canteen. Golden silence followed after that, with only the receding sounds of Rachel's scream being heard.

I had to stifle a laugh when I saw Rachel's enraged face being targeted at Micheal, who was looking as confused as a lost duck. Nico pinched my arm when I let out an extremely quiet giggle, shutting me up.

"Rachel? Did something happen?" Micheal questioned. He was trying to sound and look confused, but the gang knew better. As I looked around, I could tell that their attention was focused solely on the conversation between Rachel and Micheal. Their bodies were as stiff as rocks, unmoving and rigid. This was the moment they have been waiting for- the moment where the real truth was revealed. For them, it was the decision of whether to befriend Percy again or to totally thrash the living daylights out of him.

For me, Nico and Grover, it was the moment where we-with real perverse pleasure- get to see Micheal shamed, scorned and thrown into the pit of hell, where he definitely is supposed to be.

"Did something happen? You mother fucking piece of dog shit! What happened all those years ago, when I got a coma. Tell me now!" She screamed so loudly, I winced and had to cover my ears.

"But you already know the story! Percy cheated on you for another girl! That day when he..." Micheal trailed off as he saw Rachel's expression suddenly change from one of desperation and anger to one of utter disappointment and sadness.

"You're lying,"She said in a matter-of-fact tone. Micheal's eyes widened when he heard this, and I could see fear creep into his eyes even though i was at least twenty feet away.

"Wh-what are you talking about Rachel? I'm telling the t-truth!" Micheal stuttered and then winced. That's it. he's done for and we all knew it- even him. That outright display of weakness told us all that we needed to know. He was indeed lying.

Rachel reached into her bag and took out her diary. Micheal gasped softly when he saw the weathered book, his face morphing from fear into complete, unadulterated shock.

"This," Rachel said in a shaky voice, lifting her hand for Micheal to see clearly. "Was what I found. My old diary. Guess what was written inside?"

"Rachel you don't even know if that diary is real or not. For all you know, Percy may have created it just to twist your mind and play you!"Micheal exclaimed desperately, trying to escape. He clearly wasn't thinking straight. After all, he wasn't prepared in the least for this. He had not known that Rachel would actually approach Percy at all. He hadn't planned for this.

Heavy silence reigned. Everyone was dead silent. Many of the older kids had been around a few years ago. They had heard about what happened to the trio. According to Nico, many rumors had spread about the trio. No one knew what had happened- not even him. No matter how many times he had persistently asked Percy, he had not been able to get even an inch of information out of him. The only thing the whole gang knew was that Micheal was going overseas to study, Percy had gone into a depression that no one knew of except Micheal-who refused to tell of course.

A few of the rumors had been about Percy and Rachel breaking up and all that. The thing was that Micheal and Rachel had refused vehemently to speak about Percy during that time, which had spread rumors about Percy and Rachel breaking up and all that. No one had known what had happened to Rachel. She had magically disappeared.

Overtime, rumors died out. By the time Percy started to attend school again, people had either forgotten about it or let it rest.

"You planned it all. You planned for that girl to fall all over Percy at that damn party. You had your friend- bless that guy- to take the picture for you to fool all of us, to make Percy look like the bad guy! You conniving little prick. At the end of it all, you even dared to cheat on me!"Rachel spouted about the whole entire summary of what had happened those years ago.

Suddenly, the atmosphere turned from tense to downright murderous. Killing intent spiked from everywhere. As I looked around the place, a sadistic grin rose up onto my face- Micheal wasn't going to get out of this one. I personally hoped that he would get thrashed till he bled dry.

Everyone was glaring daggers at Micheal. Almost the entire school knew Percy.

Percy had helped many of the people in school. In some small little way, almost every single student in school had been helped and encouraged by Percy in some way. Percy had- over the years- protected people from bullies, stood up for the weak, encouraged the ones failing, sitting down to give advice on friendship and relationship problems to anyone who looked down, and practically helped anyone who looked like they needed even the slighte4st bit of help.

Percy was so willing to help, so ready and happy to help anyone that it bordered on obsession. There were many times that people asked him 'Don't you get tired of helping and encouraging every single person?'

The same response was given every single time.

He would merely smile, look at the person with storming eyes and say "I will never ignore someone who needs help."

I always felt that there was something more to it than just that simple reason. I could feel it every time he replied. His smile was always a little bit less bright than usual, his eyes were always a little more dull than usual, his aura was always a little more sombre than usual.

Basically, whenever he answered the question. his entire demeanor changes. It makes me think that there is still a part of Percy that all of us haven't seen yet. A part where he tries desperately to hide. Many other things point towards this assumption as well.

One very good example is when he spars. Usually, he would go extremely easy on people. Even when he fights with masters of other weapons, I could tell he holds back a lot. Even when he spars with me, the best knife fighter in school, I could tell that he holds back a lot.

What was absurd and frustrating was that even when he holds back, he never loses a single spar.

However, there were a few times when he simply stopped holding back. They were nalways very very short moments. The reason being whenever that side of him shows- the part where Percy isn't the kind, caring guy who always holds back in a fight- he immediately beats the other person. Even masters of other weapons were immediately thrashed when he stopped holding back.

One other thing was whenever he stopped holding back, his demeanor changes. He changes into an entirely different person. His face becomes completely emotionless, his eyes harden and his body position changes from a relaxed one to one that was ready to literally break and crush every single bone in his opponent's body and kill him in the most brutal ways possible.

It scared me to think about that side of him. I knew that if I every really fought with him in a match where we needed to kill each other, I would be the one lying on the floor bleeding dry from a hundred different places.

"Nothing to say anymore?" Rachel's cynical voice cut through my train of thoughts, causing me to shift my attention once again to the conversation. I realized that nothing had been said for the past two minutes. Micheal was still gaping like a fish out of oxygen, Rachel was looking as though a huge weight had landed on her shoulders and the entire school population was still looking like they wanted to tear Micheal apart limb by limb.

"I- I didn't do anything like that," Something in the room clicked when Micheal's weak protest ran through everyone's ears and suddenly, the air filled with all kinds of food and Micheal looked like the sandman- just that the supposed sand were bunches of food.

Micheal screamed like a little girl being chased by a puppy and ran towards the door. Unfortunately, he was blocked by a bunch of boys from the swim club. Percy had saved their lives once when he replaced their head swimmer- who had sprained his wrist by accident- in an international competition. What's more- Percy had won the competition for them.

I guffawed when I saw Micheal's terrified face. He looked so small and tiny- how a coward and devil's spawn should look like. A feeling of satisfaction settled on me and I grinned happily at the sight of Micheal getting his punishment.

"Well guys. Looks like we owe an apology to someone," Beckendorf's deep voice reverberated through all our ears. I looked around and noticed that the gang had gathered around.

"Yea. I feel really bad now for ever believing Percy would do such a thing. He's too loyal for that,"Leo said sadly. It was rare to see Leo Valdez looking so down. It goes to show how guilty he was. I could see that the rest of the gang were looking the same as him.

"I certainly agree you guys owe him an apology, so we should give him one today. Let's go to his house tonight after school. I'll get some pizza and drinks and we can celebrate at Percy's house," Annabeth stepped in and said in a firm tone. Her words shook everyone out of their gloomy mood. The Stoll brothers immediately brightened up and screamed "Party for Percy!" while punching thier fists in the air excitedly. Everyone else smiled and Leo Valdez suddenly didn't look like an old goat anymore.

By the time recess ended, the canteen was sparkling clean. Everyone had taken the responsibility to clear everything up- everything except for the puddle of food- sorry, unconcious body- lying in the middle of the floor with a multitude of colourful food making him look like a distorted rainbow.
