Thalia's POV

Try thinking up of the most intense words you can use to describe someone being angry. Let me supply a few.

Enraged. Infuriated. Incensed. Furious.

Even those words weren't strong enough to describe how angry Percy was when I saw him enter the training hall.

Actually, he wasn't really looking angry. It was more like I felt the anger and rage spilling out of him and flooding into the atmosphere, causing shivers to run down my back due to the fear that was instilled in me because of the unbelievable amount of killing intent that was radiating off him.

His face was stony and emotionless, but I think everyone could tell he was ready to kill.

I mean, when you see someone entering the hall with his weapon –in his case, Riptide- drawn and his face showing off absolutely no emotion, you can tell that the person is pretty serious.

Everyone had stilled the moment Percy entered the training hall. It was as though they were frozen in either shock or fear. Or both.

"It feels just like when Luke started to spar seriously," Mark- whom I found out was the guy that Luke almost killed- said, his eyes as wide as saucers and his entire body quivering like a leaf as he stared in unadulterated terror at Percy.

After helping Percy bring Annabeth to his house, I had stayed for a while until Nico gave me a call telling me that Luke was about to spar and thought that I would want to go and watch. Seeing that Annabeth and Percy weren't going to be out of that bedroom anytime soon- and the fact that me being there wasn't going to make things any less awkward when they finally realize they had a really touchy feely moment- I decided to rush to school to be able to catch a glimpse of how good Luke actually was.

Unfortunately, the fight had ended pretty quickly. I met up with Nico at the entrance of the school. He looked pretty shaken.

"Thalia!" Nico exclaimed as he walked swiftly towards me. I smiled brightly at him, but the smile faded away quickly when I saw the shaken look on his face.

"What happened? Has the spar already ended?" I asked.

"It ended on a really bad note. I almost got killed too," Nico said. I stared at him in bewilderment, unable to wrap my head around the fact that Nico almost got killed in training.

"I have to rush off and get Percy. See you later! I'll be back soo," Nico told me, giving me a small smile and sprinting off, without waiting for me to reply. I couldn't even stop to tell him that Percy was busy.

Later on, when I reached the training hall, I immediately felt that something was wrong. Everyone had grim looks on their faces and the hall was filled not with its usual positive chatter, but with quiet, soft mutterings. The atmosphere was heavy and there was something totally off about everything.

Then I found out what had happened.

To be honest, the most prevailing emotion I had felt wasn't anger. Of course, I had been really, really angry with Luke, but it wasn't the emotion I felt the most.

The emotion that I felt the most intensely above all else was fear.

Just exactly how proficient, how strong, how deadly was Luke, to be able to almost kill someone without hesitation and have the skill to do it even when it was three on one.

I had planned to take him on one on one to take my revenge. Now, I wasn't sure I wanted to fight him even if it was five on one.

"Ah, Percy. You're here," Mr Brunner called out in a lighthearted tone, though absolutely no one was fooled.

We have been stuck under Mr Brunner for a long, long time. We could tell that beneath his lighthearted exterior, he was actually very tensed up.

"Where is he?" Percy asked, cutting straight to the point.

"He already left," Once Percy heard that, he spun on his heel and began to walk back towards the door, his mind seemingly set on finding and killing Luke.

By that time, the entire hall was silent. I bet that if even a water droplet hit the ground, we all would have been able to hear it.

"He's already outside the school compound. He's gone, Percy. I called you here to talk to you," Mr Brunner said, immediately causing Percy to stop in his tracks.

"I'm going to find him, and I'm going to kill him," Percy said in an emotionless voice, putting emphasis on the word 'kill'.

"I know you are angry, Percy, but we have no idea where he has disappeared off to. It's better to wait till the next time he comes to school to, hen you can test your skills against him. For now, I want to talk," Mr Bruner's voice suddenly turned from his usual lighthearted tone to a deadly serious tone.

It managed to shock all of us, even Percy as he froze in his tracks as soon as he heard Mr Brunner. He then turned around and glared the scariest glare I've ever seen in my entire life at Mr Brunner.

Even from where I was, I was intimidated by it and immediately felt like turning away and running the opposite direction. I thought that Mr Brunner would surely give in this time- even he knew not to mess with Percy when he was this angry.

To my utter surprise, Mr Brunner didn't do that. Whatever he wanted to discuss with Percy must have been of the utmost importance, because Mr Brunner replied Percy's glare with his own deadly glare.

The atmosphere suddenly became twice as heavy. We could all feel the silent battle of wills as Mr Brunner and Percy stared at each other, both showing no hint of giving in to the other.

"Perseus Jackson. What I need to discuss with you is more important than you think it is. Do not be selfish. You know why I need to talk to you. Revenge is not the reason why you want to kill him," Mr Brunner said in a quiet voice.

Everyone in the hall winced at Mr Brunner's tone. It was cold and menacing, something all of us had never heard before. He even used Percy's full name. Perseus Jackson.

What the hell was so important? What in the world was going on? Was Percy and Luke somehow related? What revenge was Mr Brunner talking about?

Whatever Mr Brunner had meant in between the lines he had just said to Percy broke him out of his anger. I could almost see the pent up rage and anger inside him flowing out of him as his body slowly relaxed.

"…Sorry," Percy said in a gruff tone. He then walked towards me and Mark.

"Hey Mark. Did he manage to deal any serious harm?" He asked, his voice thankfully no longer cold and now only held concern.

"Uh, um, uh" mark couldn't seem to get any words out of his mouth. He hadn't recovered from the small little episode that had just happened.

"He's fine," I helped him answer. Percy shifted his attention to me and nodded. It took all my courage just to look at him in the eye.

"Sorry for what just happened. I… lost control of myself. I didn't mean to scare you guys," Percy said in a loud voice so that everyone could hear as he turned around and swept his eyes across everyone. He then gave one of his goofy smiles and waved before turning back and staring at me in the eye. He seemed to be trying to send me some hidden message.

"I'm sorry, Thalia," He whispered so softly that not even mark could hear. His eyes were dark and stormy, but it was still His eyes. Percy's eyes, not the eyes of his alternate personality- the one that told others that he could kill without feeling as much as a twinge of regret.

It took me two seconds to realize he was waiting for me to say something. To do something that assured him that what he had just displayed hadn't caused our friendship to be broken. The look he gave me caused the fear to seep out of me.

Sure, Percy had been really, really terrifying. It shocked me about how he could have that much killing intent.

At the same time, I knew Percy had had a dark past. It had been an inference I made long ago when he always refused to share with us about his past.

There were many things I didn't know about Percy. However, there was one thing I did know.

Percy had saved me from myself all those years ago. He had pulled me out of the depths of what felt like the emotional version of tartarus. There was no way someone as kind as him would ever hurt someone that he thought as a friend. I mean, he didn't even seek revenge against Micheal!

The fact that he was so caring and loving to Annabeth helped strengthen the thought that Percy-even though extremely terrifying and murderous at times- would never hurt a friend.

So I nodded and gave him a small smile. The way his face brightened up- only I could see that it brightened up as I knew him the most- caused my smile to grow even wider.

There was no way I would ever abandon him ever again. If he hadn't been in my life, I would probably have hanged myself by now.

I owed him my life.

"Thalia, please go back to my house as soon as possible and take care of Annabeth for me. She hasn't woken up yet when I left," Percy said. I gave a small smile- even in his anger, his thoughts still deviated to Annabeth's welfare.

"Aren't Nico and Leo there to take care of her?" I asked. I immediately felt like knocking myself in the head as soon as those words came out of my mouth.

"Nico isn't exactly experienced in caring for people…he's even worse than you. And did you really just mention Leo?" He gave me the look that blared "Seriously? Leo Valdez taking care of someone?"

I chuckled when I saw that Luke and raised my hands in surrender.

"Alright, alright. I'll go back and take care of her. You go talk to Mr Brunner and leave your girlfriend's welfare safely in my care," I said in a teasing tone. He gave me a playful death glare before turning around and walking towards Mr Brunner.
