One Shocking Surprise: Nadeshiko Edition

A/N: my first Shizuka one. Hope you like it.

Sakura took a couple of deep breaths as she readied herself. She was going to do it. She had denied it long enough, but she was ready now. She was going to let Naruto ask her out. She had decided it. So she headed to Naruto's so he can ask her first thing rather than later. She got to Naruto's apartment and knocked on the door. There was no answer and she frowned. She knew Naruto wasn't on any mission. She'd know since she'd be with him on it usually. So she knocked on the door again and again no answer. She kept knocking her ire raising every time her knuckles hit the door. Soon she was banging on the door.

"NARUTO YOU LAZY ASS GET UP NOW!" she shouted.

She paused and placed her gloves on then cracked her knuckles. She was going to bust this door down and then show Naruto why he should never make her wait and then let him ask her out. Yup, that was a great plan. She pulled her fist back ready to unleash her chakra enhanced punch, but the clicking of the locks stopped her.

Finally she thought.

The door opened and Sakura was about to berate Naruto for making her wait when a words left her. In front of her wasn't Naruto, but a girl she hadn't seen before. The girl had long black hair that was to her waist. It was looked quite disheveled and her green eyes looked tired and pissed off. She was dressed in what appeared to be Naruto's boxers and shirt.

"Who are you and what the hell is the meaning of banging on the door at this hour?" she asked.

"I should be asking who the hell you are since you're in Naruto's apartment?" Sakura asked.

"My name is Shizuka, so who the hell are you?" Shizuka asked crossing her arms over her chest.

"My name is Sakura" Sakura said.

"Oh, so you're the girl that Naruto had said he was in love with. Well, you're too late" Shizuka said emphasizing the word 'was'.

"What do you mean 'was', and how am I late?" Sakura asked confused and a bit annoyed.

"Just what I mean. You're late. You waited to flipping long. He's moved on with someone else, me. And I have to say that you snooze, you lose" Shizuka said.

Sakura was steamed at what was going. How dare this girl, who ever she was say she was too late at getting Naruto. She knew she still had a pull on him. Just she wait and Naruto would set this girl straight in the end. Yes, Naruto will be hers.

A yawn was heard and Naruto entered. He was wearing a sheet around his waist. Sakura couldn't help, but drool at the sight of her teammate shirtless. His torso showed he worked very hard in his training.

"Hello Naruto" Shizuka said as she wrapped Naruto up and kissed him hard on the lips. Naruto kissed her back hugging her tightly to him.

Sakura was shocked at this.

"Naruto, what is this, what's going on?" she asked.

"Huh, oh hey Sakura. What are you doing here?" Naruto asked.

Sakura's jaw bobbed up and down openly. She couldn't believe how Naruto had just greeted her. Naruto had never greeted her like this before. Like he didn't even really care about her.

"Naruto dear, why don't you tell her what's going on with us?" Shizuka asked sweetly.

"Hmm, well, okay. Guess why Sakura. I'm going to get married. You see…" Naruto said as he told Sakura all about Shizuka's village customs.

Sakura just stood there unable to comprehend just what was going on. Naruto was engaged to be married to this girl all because he beat her in a fight. She just couldn't believe it.

"So yeah, we then, um, celebrated last night our engagement. It was awesome" Naruto finished.

"Yes it was. From the shower to the bedroom and everywhere in between. It was all amazing" Shizuka purred.

"Yeah, the shower" Naruto said as his mind went back to last night.

"Um, uh, congratulations, you two" Sakura said.

"Thanks Sakura, but what are you doing here in the first place? Does granny Tsunade need to see me?" Naruto asked.

"Um, no. I just wanted to see if you were busy, and you are. I gotta go. Bye" Sakura said quickly then she dashed off.

"Huh, that's odd" Naruto said.

"Who cares Naruto. Come on, I want to celebrate some more" Shizuka growled.

Naruto had a goof grin on his face as he let Shizuka drag him back to into the apartment.
