Chapter 20

Lory groaned a little. Looking through all of the offers for Kyoko and Kuon had truly been an ordeal. He could safely say, that he hadn't really worked so much in years. Kyoko had far more offers than Kuon, but that stood to reason considering that a good portion of those were for different modeling jobs and music deals. Kuon was already firm in those areas since his first trip back to the US last summer and he'd been modeling for years. Kyoko had only been modeling on the side since her birthday about four months ago now.

Lory looked up. "Was there any trouble last night?"

"No, Sir. None of them slipped through." Ruto answered.

Lory nodded. "What about that boy? He seems to have a few connections that could lead to trouble."

"His contact at the airport was discovered and removed immediately; however, he was in the crowd when we left in the limo." Ruto reported.

Lory cast a worried glance after looking up from another offer for his favorite pair to act together in a couple's commercial. "Hmm?"

"We were able to avoid him. Security notified me this morning that Fuwa-san didn't leave the airport until almost 2 am." He informed him.

Lory chuckled. "Very persistent. I'm sure he'll be paying for that today." Of course Lory was aware of Sho's schedule. He had his sources too.

"Of course, Sir." Ruto agreed. "Would you like for me to escort Kyoko-sama when she arrives?"

Lory smirked. "A bit proactive today, are we?" He looked up at the emotionless demeanor and sighed. No fun… "Very well, yes. Bring her and Ren up when they come in. I have a few things to discuss with her and Ten needs to do his hair."

"Yes, Sir." And then he was gone in a flash.

Lory chuckled. Another one of his children that he totally couldn't get a read on.

She practically melted when she felt a pair of strong arms wrap around her as she poured two cups of coffee. "You didn't have anything in your fridge." She complained cutely as she handed him a steamy cup.

"Mmm. This is good enough for now. We'll stop and grab something at LA Hearts before our meeting with the Boss." He commented, taking a sip and enjoying the view. "You look amazing, by the way." He took in the sight of his girlfriend in a black and red, long-sleeved, body-con, boat neck, mini dress. It had a dark burgundy stripe across the top and two around the hem. Her platform heeled, black leather, suede, thigh high boots were waiting by the door for her, and the floppy dark hat she planned on topping it all of with was sitting next to her matching suede bag. He mentally put the ensemble together and immediately caught his mind wandering to areas it didn't need to so early in the day. He really needed to get used to this form of Kyoko.

She giggled. "Good morning to you too." She playfully stuck out her tongue at him and ruffled the hair around his left ear before kissing his cheek, after he sat down. "Is Ten-san going to do your hair today?"

He leaned over and nuzzled her hair. "Probably…" He murmured then sighed due to the calming scent of her body and perfume. He wasn't sure what kind it was, but it was perfect for her. Maybe it was one of those pheromone perfumes they had on the market. It kind of smelled like the one that Armandy had, but better. At least that's what he thought as his mind clouded a little.

"Kuon… Did you hear me?" She smirked, noticing all of the little tells that Juli had pointed out to her about men that are attracted to her.

"Hmm?" He said absently, taking another drink of his coffee.

She rolled her eyes and smiled. "Do you have a full day or did Yashiro-san clear the day for you today?"

"Ah… We both have a few days. The only thing we have is that meeting with the Boss, then we're free to get rid of jet-lag and get you settled into your new apartment." He told her.

She giggled again. "Like that will be hard. I'm across the hall from you." She pointed out. "But… we both need to buy groceries and I need to make sure I have everything I need in the apartment."

"I don't see why you don't just stay here with me." He complained.

"Mmm.. I'll think about it, but first… work." She teased sexily or at least what he thought was a little sexy.

"Who is that with Tsuruga-san?"

"I have no idea, but she looks amazing."

"Did he get a new girlfriend?"

"Maybe she's a new model?"

"God… she's got everything."

"Ugh… I can't compete with that."

"Man… Holy crap, she's hot. Who is that?" A familiar male voice questioned.

"Why does Tsuruga get all the hot ones?" Yet another familiar male lamented.

The all watched as the pair entered LA Hearts and were sat at a table. Eyes went wide in shock when she removed her sunglasses and floppy, black hat.

"That's Kyoko-chan! I didn't know she was back." That was Shinichi Ishibashi

"Wow, she has changed." And that was Yuusei.

"Did you see her photo spread in Magnus?" Taira Murasame asked.

"I didn't see that one, but I did see the winter issue of Sports Periodical. She was part of the photo shoot they did in the Riviera." He chuckled. "Nothing like a bikini to warm up the winter." Taichirou from 'Are You Serious?' commented as they all watched the pair enter the little café.

The whispers were everywhere and very hard to ignore. Kuon was chomping at the bit internally, to go medieval on a few of the more vocal young men in the group, but his dad did warn him before he left. He would need to keep a lid on his jealousy and temper. This was part of her career now and he had to admit that deep down it did make him a little more than proud of her. There was also the not so small fact that she was his. He only needed to remember that at all times and everything would be okay as far as that subject was concerned.

"Two fruit salads, whole grain toast, a poached egg for each, two waters, and two green teas with honey and lemon." She ordered holding up two well manicured, delicate fingers. She looked over at Kuon, who was staring at her dreamily, and smiled. "Is that okay, Ren?"

He smiled. "MmmHmm. That's fine."

She nodded at the stunned server and smiled. The entire time the young woman had worked at this little restaurant inside of LME, she'd never seen that expression on Tsuruga-san's face. She supposed that this was finally the end of him being single, judging from the matching rings they were obviously wearing. It would seem there was now a queen to match the king at LME, and they had the tiny crowns to prove it. She sighed inwardly and finally gave up on the dream of ever attracting that particular man.
