Many things have changed, in both Konoha and Kumo. Jin, Sasuke, Sakura and Ino have all become Chuunin. And have grown stronger in their own ways. Jin improved his skill in wind based chakra, and can flit around very quickly. Sasuke mastered the chidori and increased his mastery of the sharingan all while staying in Konoha despite multiple kidnapping attempts from Orochimaru. Sakura became a medic ninja and received guidance from Tsunade in addition to her super strength. And Ino increased her proficiency in her chakra control and clan techniques.
Hiruzen called Tsunade and Jiraiya back to Konoha, and gave them the mission of returning Hiro back to Konoha from Kumo. They entered Kumo about 1.5 years ago and haven't seen many traces of him since they've been there.
And as for Hiro, he's been working as an Anbu under the Raikage with blistering success. His missions have been completed with accuracy and skill. In addition he's trained with Killer Bee and mastered the Kyuubi Mode as well as gaining numerous new skills of his own creation.

Hiro stood before the Raikage, wearing the fox mask of his Anbu occupation.
"Why do you stand before me today, Fox?" The large man asked.
Fox, or Hiro, took off his mask and gazed at his friend, "I wish to resign as an Anbu." He stated firmly.
The Raikage nodded and extended his hand, "While I'm gonna miss the work you do, I understand." He said smiling.
Hiro shook the Raikage's hand, and smiled back at his friend, "I think I'm gonna relax for a while, tell Bee that I'll be around if he needs anything though." He said rubbing his eyes tiredly.
"Will do." The Raikage responded nodding at Hiro.
Hiro nodded back and exited the building.

As he journeyed back to his home, he decided to walk down the main street. It had been a while since he had done so, working as an anbu he rarely had any free time.
The large street was packed with people, many of whom recognized him and gave him smiles, he had become a sort of a hero in Kumo and he was loving it. The sides were lined with shops and restaurants, which were very packed as well.
And as it happened, as Hiro strode through the street carefree, a certain duo managed to spy him walking by as they sat eating.
"There he is!" The man said excitedly, looking to his female companion.
She looked at the man walking by, "Are you sure that's him?" She asked skeptically.
The man smiled, "Yeah." He said nostalgically, "He looks just like his father when he was younger."
The female shrugged, "I'll trust you on this one, we should send word to retrievers but for now let's just continue to tail him." She instructed carefully.
The man laughed, "So bossy, it reminds me of the old days." He replied.
The woman smiled back, "Except we weren't so old, and Orochimaru was with us." She said sadly, "Good riddance." She said drinking.
"I'll drink to that." The man said, taking a large swig.
The woman finished her drink and spoke, "Let's move, Jiraiya."
Jiraiya nodded, downing the last of his drink, "Right behind you Tsunade."
And the two disappeared without a trace, not knowing that a certain someone knew they were there all along.
This unknown watcher merely laughed and said to themselves, "You can't hide from me, in my city." Before disappearing as well.

A Few Days Later
/
Jiraiya and Tsunade had sent word to Konoha about the reemergence of Hiro, and Konoha had responded, sending the "retrievers".
For now Jiraiya and Tsunade waited.

Hiro strolled out of his house and stood calmly before smiling. Instantly he was surrounded by four ninja, their identities hidden by masks and wearing the outfits of the average anbu.
Hiro looked around, "Wow!" He commented, "You guys really brought out the big guns!" He said smiling and laughing to himself.
One of the assailants leaped at him, aiming a kick for his neck, but landed on the ground his foot meeting nothing but air.
"Woah calm down, no need to get violent." He said still smiling and enjoying himself as he stood next to the only woman out of the group of attackers. She quickly turned to him in surprise before jumping away.
Hiro laughed, and looked on as the assailants grew more tense.
"What did you do?" The woman asked, jarred by his incredibly sudden movement.
Hiro smiled even wider, greatly enjoying the situation he was in. "I haven't seen any of you in at least two years, and in that time have grown quite a deal stronger." He said confidently.
"You're not as strong as you think you are." A dull voice stated as their fist reached where Hiro's head had been previously.
"Nope, I'm definitely stronger than any of you." He said happily, appearing right next to the masked attacker who had just punched at him.
The attacker looked surprised, before jumping away just as their comrade had been done previously.
Hiro squinted his eyes, "I recognize that voice..." He thought for a moment, "You're Kakashi!" He said finally remembering.
The group of attackers looked to the man who Hiro had declared as Kakashi, as he sighed before taking his mask off, showing that he was in fact Kakashi.
"I knew this was a bad idea from the start." One of the male assailants said, before taking off their mask showing that it was Asuma Sarutobi.
The other two also removed their masks revealing Might Guy and Kurenai.
Hiro looked at the group of Jonin surrounding him and continued to look very happy, "So what's up gang? Why'd you come to the very wonderful city of Kumogakure?" He asked, already knowing the answer.
Kurenai glared at him, "We came to drag your sorry ass back to the village you belong in." She said angrily.
Hiro looked back at her, glaring daggers and said, "The village I belong in?" He said surprised, "The village I belong in!" He repeated again, this time more angry.
He looked around at the four adults surrounding him, "You shouldn't have come here, I have found a place in this city and I'm content to serve it for the rest of my life." He explained, holding back his anger.
The Jonin all looked to each other as Hiro continued, "Tell the Hokage that I am happy, and I have finally found a place where they truly accept me." And he paused before he went on, "I have no intention of quarreling with Konoha but be certain of one thing, if Kumo is put at risk I won't hesitate to destroy it's enemies with all power." He said seriously, finally finishing.
Asuma sighed and looked at Kakashi, "You know we can't bring him back right? I mean at this point we could start a war, which I know neither of us wants." He said exasperated.
Kakashi thought for a moment before responding, "Fine we're shipping out." He then shifted his gaze over to Hiro, "I hope the Hokage accepts this, but you may put this whole village at risk, I just think you should know." He warned.
Hiro nodded before responding, "I will be the sword and shield of Kumo, it is my life and I will protect it." He said passionately.
Kakashi accepted his response and him and all the others disappeared.
Hiro sighed and sat down, kind of tired by the series of events that had just happened.

A Few Days Later

Hiro exited his home, and yawned loudly. It's been so long since i've had so much free time, I don't know what to do. He laughed, speaking to his bud.
The Kyuubi gazed back at him from his place in the boy's mind, "There's no one left exciting to fight, you know that as well as I." He responded in a bored sort of tone, "Except maybe Itachi but you bested him years ago."
Hiro thought for a moment, The Akatsuki have begun moving more, even to the degree of attempting to capture Yugito. He spoke, mostly thinking aloud or in the mindscape which is actually kind of weird if you think about it, he thinking aloud but not speaking its just in his own world in his mind, Kumo has three jinchurikis, they're gonna be aiming for us as their main target, after Gaara of course. He continued, That reminds me Gaara became Kazekage not to long ago, so with the whole strength of his village I'm sure he should be able to handle himself.
The Kyuubi closed his eyes and went to sleep, and Hiro laughed at the behavior of his companion, Maybe we should go visit Itachi, now that I think about it, it has a been a while since he and I had a bout.
The Kyuubi responded without opening his eyes, "So go then." He said lazily,
Hiro nodded and returned to the physical world, disappearing in a quick flash of light, and reappearing beside the Raikage.
"I saw you not too long ago Hiro, what business do you have with me so soon?" He asked without looking up from his work.
Hiro smiled, "I wish to go on a journey." He stated simply.
The Raikage looked up from his work and turned to Hiro, "You should know by now that you have full jurisdiction to do pretty much whatever you please, and even if I wanted to, I doubt I could stop you from leaving." He said, smiling at his friend.
Hiro laughed and rubbed the back of his head, smiling sheepishly, "I just wanted to let you know and tell you to be careful, the Akatsuki are a very real threat, especially for a village such as our own." His smile faded and he grew serious.
The Raikage sighed, "I know, I know, so long as we have you we're more than fine." He explained, "And Bee can take care of himself, and Yugito will be under our protection as well as being with Bee, there's no need for you to worry." He finished, reassuring Hiro.
Hiro nodded, "I'll be going then, you know how to reach me if you have to." And just like that, he was gone.
